Today was my first visit to Masella's. The guys were so kind and friendly! The service was incredible, it's my new auto repair shop! As I was leaving, they both said it was nice to meet me. That melted my heart.

I recently downgraded my review of Curry's Auto. My advise is to ignore any place that offers discounts on common auto maintenance items. I tried this place recommended from a local for routine oil change. During my wait, I became impressed with mechanic contacting customers and advising them not to follow through with expensive procedures. Next time you visit this place for routine maintenance, just sit, wait, and list to mechanic advising customers to avoid unnecessary expensive repairs. I watch Scotty Kilmer on YouTube and he advises to seek out auto mechanics based on word of mouth. Lesson learned is to not to trust solely on Google ratings but use it to verify recommendation from local.

Friendly, honest, and quick! Dead battery, called to insurance for the road assistance, recommended by the guy who came to assist as a reliable company. I called, explained, got ok, brought a car, received a call with assessment results, approved a fix (price seemed appropriate and fair) battery changed, and picked up my car by the end of the day. All I needed from the service. Thank you!

Very knowledgeable and polite. A bit expensive, but when it comes to mechanics, I find you get what you pay for. Oil change and checkup took almost 2 hours, so be prepared to wait.

They did a great job on my brakes and were very reasonable. They are now my go-to auto shop for any repairs and oil changes. I live in Port Charlotte and drive to Venice because of the great service!!

This place is top notch. I had an issue with my car on a midday on a Friday and they fit me in to make sure my car was operating correctly. The people are super friendly and very courteous. Their pricing is reasonable and affordable. I've used them many times and always been happy with the outcome and service.

My check engine light came on today and I drove straight to Masella's Auto Repair and spoke with Dave who, although they were very busy, found time to diagnose my Dodge Dakota had a bad battery. He had it replaced at a good price with in a half hour and I was back on the road! Great service, great experience. I highly recommend them and will definitely use their services again.Services: Auto battery replacement, Battery

They quoted me to put a trunk latch on at almost the same price the dealership would have charged me for parts and labor. They refused to put the part on that I bought online. They wanted to charge over $200 for the part and almost $100 for labor. I got the part for $30 and it took less than 15 minutes to install (went to PitStop). Total price of my repair...$80 ($30 for part, $50 for labor).I thought this was a family owned and operated place that weren't out to overcharge people. I was wrong.

I go to another mechanic usually. When they couldn t handle a job I needed done, they referred me to Masella s. This shop really is the gold standard. Their pricing is fair and transparent. Their courtesy and professionalism deserves top marks. My issue was diagnosed and promptly repaired. They re everything you want from your mechanic and none of what you fear you might get stuck with.

WOW. MONEY SAVED. You have found your new mechanic. Can we talk about HONESTY and PROFESSIONALISM?! The mechanic I have been going to for YEARS quoted me over $1,000 for repairs. I don't like to switch around because I am loyal to good places when I find them, but with a price tag like that I had to shop around. Masella's came HIGHLY recommended and so that is where I went. Not ONLY did they do a brilliant job with the repair, but it cost me $200, instead of the $1,020, $1,300, $1,150 at the other places that quoted me! Never in my life have I gone into a mechanic and said "I need XYZ" and they said "let me take a look and make sure that you need all that". I LOVE these guys and they have earned a new loyal customer. I'll be sure to tell all of my friends and family. I am very comfortable sending my mom here, knowing they will take GREAT care of her. Arrived an oil change and tire rotation and balance. Charged $170. That's way to high!Trevor called to make it right. He said they normally quote the prices up front, but they didn't in this case. So, he offered to refund the entire amount.Services: Tire rotations, Oil change

I really don t have enough kind words and superlatives for Masella s. They ve done battery and electric work on my car previously and I forgot to leave a review. Today they fixed a flat tire.I did not have an appointment and they were able to bend over backwards to get me in immediately. As a consumer my suggestion to my fellow consumers is: MAKE AN APPOINTMENT - if you can. I know they will take you as a walk in anyway, but they are so busy and so popular that the best thing for you and probably them, is if you make an appointment.The thing I like best about Masella s is not the fact that they ve won all of those awards for their work - of which there are dozens - or the positive costumer reviews, of which there are dozens upon dozens more - it s because of the AWESOME AND COMPETENT PEOPLE WHO WORK HERE. They get the job done right the first time and you do not have to worry about the side show circus upselling that you have to put up with at other shops and the dealerships. They give it to you straight and professionally here. An honest mechanic is something we all need in our lives!If you live in the Venice area, do yourself a favor and switch wherever you ve been taking your car and get to Masella s. Sarah, Tyler and Jenny were all very helpful with my tire. ( nail in it) They took care of the issue promptly and were very professional. They did not even charge me because they said they did nothing! THEY DID- they took time and made an effort to get the issue resolved!I would highly recommend this family owned business!! Very honest and goes the extra mile for their customers!! Thank you, staff at Marcella s!

Masella s was so HONEST that we were shocked. Our car was making a weird noise and we thought it was time for an alignment. They could of easily said our car needed way more than it did but they just switched our tires around for $15 and our car was good as new. I recommend this shop to anyone and everyone! If we lived in Florida, we would only take our car here. Thanks again!

Cannot say enough good things about Masella s . From the way the phone is answered, customers greeted, and work explained, it is easy to tell this is a professionally run business. We had to spend some time in waiting room and were able to observe staff interact w customers. All was good! The work done on our vehicle was fairly priced and well done. One thing we liked was the documentation they keep in files regarding your vehicle. With this there is no question about services performed and recommendations for further work. Highly recommend.

Have taken all 3 of my vehicles to Massela s for various repairs. Last one was to replace the head gasket on my sons car. They are very good at communicating all the options and addressing the specific issue. I called the day before to get pricing to mount tires on my SUV. I was given a quote of $75.00, everything included.When the work was done the next day, I was called to the payment window when my vehicle was ready, fully expecting that my cost could be higher. Well it was not $75.00. it was about $20 LESS. How often does that happen folks? These are good honest people who do a great job. This was my first visit to Masella's. It will not be my last. As someone who isn t well versed in cars I am always afraid of getting taken advantage of when it comes to cost or what my car actually needs. This was not the case, staff were knowledgeable, felt to be very honest and reasonable for pricing. I waited in the waiting area and was impressed with every interaction with other customers (one relatively unsatisfied customer, confused customers, happy customers). They take the time to explain the how what and why of your cars needs. A+++

Our wonderful vacation ended in Siesta Key and we packed the car and began our drive back to Miami at 8 am. 30 minutes later stopped at Cracker Barrel, the one 15 minutes east of this shop right off of i75. As we drove away the TPMS ( tire pressure monitoring system) indicated we had low pressure on the dashboard of the car.I pulled over at a gas station, found the low tire and filled up all 4 tires while I was at it to the correct psi.I took a closer look and found a piece of metal, slightly bigger than a screw in the tread of the tire.We wouldn't make it back to Miami for sure,I first went to a shop west of i75 (Midas) and was asked if I could drop of my car, I explained I was from Miami and I could not as my wife and toddler in the car. They responded that they couldn't help me otherwise,I understand they run a tight schedule, and are busy...but how often does someone with a tire going flat stop and ask for a plug as they travel back home?I left and drove up the street to Masella's where Jeremy was sitting behind the desk, and when I explained to him my situation they said they would take care of me immediately.The waiting area was clean, air conditioned, and they offered bottled water, sodas, and had Keurig coffee for their customers all for FREE.You think all that would make the price go up, in fact, I had a tire plugged in Miami 1 week before and it was $5 more expensive.We were in and out in 25 minutes.Excellent customer service, friendly staff, welcoming environment and a super reasonable price.This would be my go to mechanic shop if I lived in Venice.Keep up the great service!

As an out of town customer with a punctured tire, most people I knew here told me that no one here fixes tires, be prepared to buy new. As I called around to the big name chains, I found that to be true. Then a review for Masella's caught my eye, as someone talked about their own punctured tire story and how Masella's fixed it. So I called and Jim Masella could not have been nicer! He got me in the next day and they fixed the tire for a more than reasonable amount. He did, however, note that my tires were in poor condition (a fact that I was not aware of) and that I should think about replacing them. He had already priced out new ones and had put the quote on my receipt, but no pressure. I am not used to this at all! I called later with the go ahead and by the end of the week I had 4 nice, new tires. I wish Masella's would open a location in Raleigh, NC!

Our tire had a small leak that needed to get patched and after calling several different mechanic shops we finally found this one. The people are extremally nice and we were in and out within 30 min. Finally cost was less than $20. Great experience.

A friend referred me and I am very happy! They went above and beyond to do what was needed. I needed them to check the air conditioning and while there I had them change the oil They were efficient, text me a report while there and went over it with me. They did not make me fix things that were not needed!!! So happy with their service and professionalism!Services: Air conditioning, Oil change

Scheduling even routine maintenance during "Snowbird Season" is difficult at best. 5 other places couldn't or wouldn't schedule my oil change and annual checkup. Masella's did it on time, correctly and for good value.
