I know I said I d never do another review after that whole Chinese fire-drill situation. However the employees here deserve recognition for doing great work. I went to see the GERMAN SPECIALIST at Horst s in Venice hoping they d have time to help me. I met Alex at registration great guy, funny personality and automotive knowledgeable. Then, Neal the Audi tech, I d like to apprentice with this guy. He s very knowledgeable about Germans vehicles. And writes meticulous work notes, to advise of progress. I would gladly give this auto shop a 10/10 if you drive a German auto. If you ever need any maintenance or auto repairs call Horst s FIRST!!!1st SIT REP:Blackbirds first air-air incursion was with a (Lexus) f sport (mica blue very sexy color) @ 80 roll I put all my faith in Horst s. Downshifted into sport mode and as the f sport was level and slowly creeping, the BLACKBIRD with pedal mashed to the floor just walked away. just for clearance I have no knowledge of mods on the f sport, the BLACKBIRD has all bolt ons and IE tunes.

Venice's charm includes local independent services with impeccable reputations and friendly, competent staffs. Such is this repair shop that the variety of cars ranges fromclassic 6-figure beauties to my 122+K miles "bucket" SUV to restored BIG BLOCK BEASTSto daily commuter buggies. It's popularity & satisfied, loyal customers is advertising byword-of-mouth within our community. Trustworthy work with fair fees says it all.

Horst called me back personally after I left a message about scheduling a Pre Purchase Inspection with him and I got such a good and honest "vibe" from our conversation about my possible purchase of a particular late model BMW, that I would recommend bringing ANY German made vehicle to him for inspection or service! He seems extremely knowledgeable, honest and completely candid and forthright.

This place could actually do good work... But there are horrible communication problems I think... Unfortunate because they seem like good people. Call backs are basically non existent, so you have to call and stay on top of it... I honestly can't recommend them, and in the end they did do what was requested. Unfortunately the communication and time frame was, well way to poor.. I gave 2 stars because Alex was great to deal with and overall the pinnacle of my experience.

I've been going to Horst to get my Porsche serviced for over 5 years. They have gotten better in recent years providing detailed service costs in advance in writing and completing the work sooner than expected. To top it off, the full maintenance work just completed was roughly 50% cheaper than taking the car to a Porsche dealer. It's also fun to see all the classic German cars being serviced.So glad we have this option in Venice to service our German cars!!

Horst's Bavarian Auto Works are real professionals. I feel that in many ways, they are superior to Audi dealers. Very easy to work with, and they do not do work without you knowing what they are doing. A great experience.

Horst is the only place to take your authentic German-made, Bentley, or other Bavarian car. I would buy this company and make it the industry standard. P M Wells

Alex was amazing! I brought in my 325 in for A/C repair and convertible top pump. The work was done professionally and at a fair price. I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone with German auto!

Thank you! I took my new MB purchase in with a laundry list of deferred maintenance. Everything was done in a professional and timely manner. The front office was helpful and kept me in the loop. Definitely going back.

Highly recommend! Alex was very knowledgeable and professional. Diagnosed my multiple problems (central locking, windows motor) over the phone and ordered all parts. Alex had my 06 BMW 325 fixed, ordered and installed new tires and battery all within 4 days. Reasonable pricing.

All around, great service! Had one of the best rates in the county for the transmission flush on my Mercedes-Benz. Car shifts just like it did back in 1997, maybe even better. Alex and Tilo were great. Very professional and knowledgeable. I still have some other minor maintenance I need to do, and I m definitely bringing it here. Thank you guys! On a whim, I called to see if they could take a look at a used VW I was looking to buy for my 17 year old son. Much to my surprise, not only did Alex take time out of his fully scheduled day, he said I could bring it right away. This type of service has earned them a future customer as we did buy the car! We have a Jag and Mercedes that are serviced by Horst and his crew. They are always straight forward with the facts, honest and willing to provide options to insure we get the most cost effective repairs and service. If it is not needed, they don t do it. It is a pleasure to find someone who is concerned about the client and their cars first!! Thank you for the years of great service!!!

Horst is one of a kind. I spent a day at his shop watching a thriving business that respects its customers deeply and does precision work that only a German shop can do. But even more than that is Horst, who is able to meticulously handle every aspect of customer service with diligence and kindness with the help of his beautiful and creative wife. When my car later conked out, I had it towed to Horst's shop. He spent two days trying to locate the problem which ended up being me and refused to charge me a cent. I then asked him to service the car so I would be a paying customer. He got back to me saying that no service was need, everything was up to date. In this world where it seems that everyone is trying to take advantage, Horst gives me great hope that maybe someday his ethical and compassionate standards may find their way back into our world.

Only place I bring my BMW 335i. Lp fuel pump went out. Another shop had it for 7 days and could not figure out what was wrong. Found this shop on the bimmer site. Called just after hours and got horst. He took the time to listen to what happen and what the other mechanics have tried and he nailed the issue without seeing the car. I have brought my car in several of times and they are very honest. They will let you know if something is a recall or has an extended replacement by bmw. Very knowledgeable about bmws. Prices are well under a BMW shop.Services: Electrical repair, Air & cabin filter replacement, General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

Alex is a gem! Brought my 1996 1.9 Z3 in for new hoses etc. Far exceeded expectations. Fair price, communicated perfectly. Winner Winner!

The customer service is very poor. I dropped my porche boxter off on a Wednesday and he said someone would call me back, no one called. Thursday I called and he said someone would call me back, no one called me back so by Friday I called them. The man said he had no idea but heard parts were being ordered. I asked him how much? He said he did not know, someone would call me. They again, never did. I called back on Monday I was told someone would call me back and my car would be ready on Tuesday. I asked again what was wrong and how much? Again, he said he didn't know, someone would call me back. I still dont know. I still havent received a call and I am not happy with the customer service. I hope the bill and repairs are better than the service.

Spent $240 for a misdiagnosis and the price to replace the "broken water pump" was nearly $4000. I would not recommend this shop.

Skip the dealer. Most knowledgeable techs I have ever met and I use to work ata BMW dealership. Prices are very fair as well.

Excellent place. The staff/mechanics there are of the highest quality. Where other shops couldn't figure out what was wrong, Bavarian Auto Works was quick to diagnose, fix, and repair the problems.The best.

I have complete and explicit trust in these peple. They have done extensive work on my 1998 SL600 and minor work on my Honda. I wouldn't consider taking my SL anywhere else. They have had the SL at least a dozen times with zero problems with their work

Had an appointment at 9am and the car was ignored all day. I called at 3 pm and they had never done the work. Extremely rude on phone. I will never use them again and will tell others about my terrible experience

AFTER KEEPING MY CAR FOR 10 DAYS THEN CHARGING ME $840 DOLLARS FOR INSTALLING THE CARPET THAT I SUPPLIED WAS PUT IN WITH SCREWS NOT NEEDED WAS CHARGED FOR A TURN SIGNAL THAT I SUPPLIED WAS NOT PUT IN AT ALL,TUNED THE CAR7 now it pre ignites for 2 minutes after you turn it off bucking wildly. just a poor job that a under mechanic did. not the professional job i had hoped oh yea the glove box will not open at all after it was replaced with a new one by me again just a poor job very dissapointed. i would not recommend this spotty work to anyone with a antique BMW

Excellent service! I drove in from Toronto and they took good care of my vehicle so I m able to return home without issue.
