I am from Oregon and bought a boat in Venice fl, noticed that the tires where dry rotted, pulled up to apogee and spoke to David, the guy was really helpful and also mentioned that I need my bearings done before I go to Oregon cost! They got it done in a timely manner and a really fair price! The staff is really friendly with a lot of parts in stock!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE to do business with Apogee Trailer in Venice FL.I had the worst experience of my life dealing with David, the owner.They sold me a new boat trailer to replace my 2015 Magic Tilt, which they told me was beyond repair. They guaranteed the quality and fit of the new trailer, which I paid them nearly $6000 for upon placing my order for it, and left my boat and old trailer parked at their shop while it was being made. Once they notified me the new trailer was ready to pick up, I went to Venice to find my boat sitting awkwardly on a much smaller than original aluminum trailer on top of bunks that were clearly not intended for my boat, with the back of the hull hanging two feet over the end, unable to properly secure it to the trailer, and sitting so high up that I d have to back my vehicle half way into the water during high tide just to get the boat loaded or unloaded. It had two tall, wide bunks instead of the original 4 low bunks- and it just looked ridiculous. They tried to convince me it was good enough, but it wasn t even remotely close to what I had before in design, not made for my boat which has a stepped hull requiring specific bunk placement, or what I was told I was buying. David promised me he d do anything make it right and he seemed very truthful as he convinced me that he could actually repair my old trailer and make it as good as new- for no extra money - and that no matter what he d make it right. He shook my hand and said his handshake is his contract and that I can use the new trailer to store my boat on while they repair my old trailer. I reluctantly agreed, and waited another several weeks until they notified me my old trailer was rebuilt and I can pick it up. I made the trip to Venice again towing the boat, expecting to swap trailers for my rebuilt one. There I found my old trailer, with the axles replaced and the tongue repairs so that it was towable, with new lights mounted on and the original old wiring dangling near the ground, the old worn out fenders still loosely attached and the original bunks, recarpeted but not replaced. There were no safety chains, the original two-speed 2500lb winch was replaced with a cheap 1600lb new one, the ball attachment was a very light duty cheap one that David needed to use a hammer to engage the mechanism, the jack stand was replaced with a very cheap new one. I was upset they told me it was ready when it wasn t even road worthy, and that it wasn t as good as new or even close to it. They said they would finish the work and I again left with the new trailer only this time I was struck by another driver, damaging my boat and the new trailer slightly. So, I immediately filed a claim with the other drivers insurance and notified David at Apogee Trailer what had happened. I had a bill of sale for the new trailer, but I had no title due to the whole issue with them getting it wrong and rebuilding my old one. David told me to bring it to him to evaluate the damages for the insurance claim. He said it was totaled and beyond repair ( just like he said my old one was that he was now repairing) and that until the claim was paid, he would release my old trailer to me in its unfinished state, and that he d complete the work after the claim was settled. The insurance eventually paid David $6000 for the damaged new trailer, and he kept it as well, easily repairable and resealable. So, now he s been paid nearly $12,000 for the same trailer he sold me, and I am stuck with my old beat down trailer in towable yet still very poor condition. All of the parts he put on it except the axles broke within the first couple of uses, the cheap lights blinked out on the first dunk- the old fenders are still barely hanging on, broken and wobbly.I have been trying to contact David in person, text and email since the insurance companies settled with him, but he will not reply. If I go to his business in person, he hides from me and won t come out to talk.I was ripped off, he scored big bucks and a trailer, I got nothing but disrespect, and an old worn out trailer.

Never used their services but lost control on the highway in the rain well avoiding stopped cars and was waiting for a tow truck when one of your guys stopped to make sure I was okay and then proceeded to help me get my truck and trailer situated for the tow. I tried to give him what cash I had on me but he refused to accept it. Really was a breath of fresh air after being so overwhelmed. Will definitely be checking out your services in the future

Great store, most everything in stock! Got me the parts so I could be up and running fast. Great store to have in Venice! Replaced my hub, bearings, rim and lugs...what a mess. Thx guys

Had a problem with the hitch socket on my cargo trailer was failing to release the ball on my hitch. Fixed it in 30 seconds. Didn t charge me. I tipped their guy nicely. Great service!!

Huge thanks to Mike and Team at Apogee! We needed bunks changed out and electrical strengthened on trailer and they did a Superb job! Apogee's customer service and workmanship is the best!

This trailer place was amazing. I had excellent service. They were very kind. Always acknowledging those who they were helping. They had made me feel like I had a voice and I truly appreciated all their help. They truly helped me with my trailer ensuring that it was safe for the road.

I am so glad I ran across Apogee when I was looking to get some work done on my trailer. My boat always had a difficult time centering on the trailer when I was loading up...almost to an embarrassing level. Mike and the team offered some suggestions. The work was done in a couple of days and the issue was immediately fixed. Great work!

These guys were great! I had a number of unique issues getting my kayak trailer customized for my Hobie Tandem Island sailing kayak. They cut things down and welded them to my exact desires! I was amazed at how they were so willing to not just go the extra mile, but 3 or 4 miles for me. I am so pleased with my trailer. They pointed out some things that needed repair, saving me time, money and future headaches. Then my trailer light kit didn t work that I installed, because wires were reversed in the plugs for the brake lights :( David took the time to help me by diagnosing the problem, then bypassed the faulty plugs to get it working perfectly. He wasn t even going to charge me. I was so grateful I tipped him and thanked him very much! I recommend them very highly and suggest that you go to them first!

Apogee Trailer is by far the Top trailer store around the Sarasota Venice area. Have been there multiple times with many different trailers from Diamond c dove tails to pj dump trailers and the surpass my expectations every-time. Fast reliable and all around great group of guys all willing to help.

Haven't towed anything yet with the hitch we had Apogee install on our Traverse so cannot comment/rate that but expecting all to be perfect for the price we paid. Reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is that we had to make two trips there since the wiring harness was not included in the delivery when they received it and apparently they did not check the order first. WE had to wait again and then go back a second time for it to be installed and NO compensation for our time and inconvenience was given whatsoever.

I needed a trailer hitch custom made so I could haul a heavy motorized scooter . My car is low to the ground, so Paul had to weld together a custom adapter to raise the carrier up several inches, allowing the carrier to ride without scraping along the street.I really appreciated the innovative approach this shop came up with to allow me to use a wheelchair carrier on my Lexus car.Super friendly staff that takes extra good care of customers at a very reasonable price. Thank you for getting me on the road safely, Apogee!

I have a pressure cleaning business and my trailer axle broke in half while on the road. I brought my trailer to Apogee and explained that I needed my trailer as soon as possible. David was so accommodating and put a rush job that day. He put other jobs on the back burner just to get me back in business as quickly as possible.He and his staff had my trailer done in 1 day. I am so amazed at care and the genuine care for the customer. Who does this!!They have a customer for life.David did an amazing job and I am forever grateful.Thank you David for your true care for the little guy and his business.

Mike at apogee is awesome. Open on Saturday which no other trailer shop can be bothered to do, super helpful and knowledgeable. I'm a charter guide so I cant have my trailer down for long or I lose business and Mike always gets me back on the road quickly and at fair prices. Don't look anywhere else this is the best trailer shop around! (And I have been to/used almost all of them from Sarasota to port Charlotte)

These guys are always so helpful. Customer service is ALWAYS on point with them. One time I ran into a bind installing a wheel bearing for one of my trailers and they actually FaceTimed me to walk me through the issue. Highly recommend!!!

These guys are the best! I pulled up here at 9pm and the owner happened to be in and replaced my tire for me to make sure we were safe to get home. They are a very quality service, very knowledgeable. I would recommend them to anyone.

David and the team at Apogee are awesome. We have used them many times for miscellaneous trailer things and metal jobs, and more importantly, we send our ebike shop customers to them all the time to install hitches for their bike racks. They always come back happy!

The guys at Apogee were great in every way. Plenty of communication about what it will take to repair my boat trailer, exactly what it would cost, a time frame of when it would be completed. They called with updates as they found out I needed a middle brake light to be legal and what the additional cost would be . When I arrived to pick up my trailer they checked the lights while attached to my vehicle. They took the time to examine my trailer light issue and actually found that my vehicle had a blown fuse, they replaced the fuse and got everything working great. A great experience in every way.

Stopped here on a Saturday fingers crossed we could get an axle for trailor so we can take company on boat. Exceptional service! even came out to look at our old axle. Very helpful and they have the part for us today, yeah!!

Quick service, professional, With great communication! Reasonable prices and explains services necessary. Went above and beyond to give me a set of used rims to ensure proper fit on my trailer with the new hubs. Even painted the rims at no cost to match my trailer. Have used them for service as well as parts, excellent. Highly recommend apogee!!
