This is an extremely professional and efficient organization. Dallas and Bob are very friendly and accommodating. They kept me abreast with updates throughout the days my car was being serviced. I've had other mechanics try to fix my issues to no avail, but they remedied all the problems at a fair price. Thank you. You have earned another loyal customer.

I was raised by a Father who told me. "If you take care of what you have it can last you a lifetime." My 2003 Toyota Tundra is 21 Years old now with a modest 265,000 miles. It's not special to anyone but me, most people ask me why I don't buy a new truck? Quite honestly, there's nothing out there in the world that I want. Besides, my truck is clean and has developed a personality which quite honestly gives it a human quality.Having said that, I have ALWAYS gone to the Toyota Dealership for all my service needs, ALWAYS. Recently I felt my throw out bearing starting to go. It was the original throw out bearing so it did its job and did it well. I called Toyota of Venice and thus started a frustrating conversation. {I'll preface this that I mean no disrespect to the Toyota Dealership or any Dealership, this is a subjective experience and conclusion.} I asked the Service Advisor to provide me an average cost of replacing a throw out bearing for my truck. They responded and stated that they needed to inspect and see what's wrong with the vehicle before they can answer that. I responded that I just advised them what the issue was and let them know again that I just needed to know what the average cost of replacing the part was. I came to the conclusion that either they did not know what a throw out bearing was or that they were not trained enough to answer the question properly. I thanked the person for their time and left it at that because it was becoming quite frustrating speaking to, in essence, a brick wall.I explained my experience to one of my Neighbors who shared a similar experience and had recommended taking my Truck to AAMCO. I called and spoke to Bob and gave me exactly what I requested. To be Honest, Toyota could have given me an outlandish amount and I still would've had them do the work. It's not about the money, it's about the experience I have with those I speak to. Bob gave me confidence that not only did they know what I needed and responded professionally and promptly, he gave me the answer to the simplest of questions. On top of that they got original Toyota Parts.Upon my Truck getting dropped off a day went by and Bob called me with bad news. He said that he apologized but the truck wouldn't be ready as we had agreed and additionally stated that I would need a new clutch as well and provided me a quote. I accepted and let them know I trusted them and to proceed as we agreed.A day and a half later, I had my Truck back and I couldn't be happier with it and the way they treated me and I wanted to write down this experience for anyone to read.I know that repairs on your vehicle can be stressful and often you hear stories how mechanics take advantage of people. Take it from my experience noted above. You can trust AAMCO in Venice, I trust you will have just as good an experience as I have.Thank you Bob - I appreciate you.- JC

My relationship with AAMCO started about 20 years ago. I bought a Dodge Ram 1500 from a used car dealership in North Carolina. As I approached the final 5 miles of my 200 mile trip back to my house, the transmission started to slip and grind. I took the truck to AAMCO the next morning. They put it up on a lift and showed my what the issues were. Yes, the transmission had problems. The o sensors had been cut, so they did not relay the faults to the computer and it did not show an issue. Parts of the exhaust had been replaced with makeshift pipe... this truck was a mess. And I was about to make a cross country move with the military. AAMCO was able to get me up and running. It was not near as expensive as I had expected. Plus, I had a warranty that covered me all across the country. AAMCO got pictures and assisted in getting some of the repairs covered by the company the sold the truck.I knew I had found a company that cares about people, both customers and staff. When my Chevy Suburban (the monster truck, as my kids called it) needed transmission work, there was only one place I wanted to go. Again, AAMCO responded in amazing fashion. I was in and out quickly, and the repair was done 100% to my satisfaction. I was amazed by the personal service I was given. Bob Hines at the Venice location made me feel like family. He always has a smile on his face. He makes me feel like part of his family. Thank you for all that you do to make sure we continue to get where we need to go safely!

We moved to the area seven years ago and have had very little luck servicing our three cars, visiting both dealerships and repair shops. We just discovered AAMCO of Venice last year and highly recommend them for all your automotive service needs, they do much more than just transmissions.Every time the repairs are preformed correctly, on time and the pricing is very fair. They wont charge you for what you don't need or use cheap second rate parts from third world countries.Kudos to Bob, Brian and Dallas for listening attentively to my concerns, explaining the repairs, answering all questions and respectful of my time. They are without a doubt the best shop in the area!AJC

Brought my Yukon Xl in for service because is was giving me issues and other service providers could not give me a proper diagnosis. Well Bob at AAMCO and his technicians figured out the issue and went above and beyond to make sure it was running properly before returning to me. Bob called to check on me a few days after service . Really appreciate the honest work and clear communication on what was being done what it would cost.Thank you AAMCO! Dallas- you have a great crew!

It started about a year ago when we brought my husbands work van in for repair. It was leaking anitifreeze and we were told it needed a whole new engine. Asked our options and then was told they could rebuild the top half.Took a month or so to get it back and over $5,000 paid to them. Then, not a week later it was pouring anitfreeze again. After 2 weeks of waiting, we were told it was the radiator. So now over $700 later radiator was replaced. Here we sre a month later and its leaking antifreeze as bad as the first time. It was also backfiring and asked for a diagnostic check while it was there. I get another call, ' you have a hole in the radiator!! What?!! You just replaced it. He tells me, well sometimes road debris can get in through vents and do that and make a hole! No mechanic we have talked to has ever heard of that including a retired master mechanic who is a friend. No break on price and then ANOTHER $750 later for a 2nd radiator in amonth. Then, I was told they were to busy for the diagnostic test but if I wanted to leave it there longer, the diagnostic would be $175 an hr min 2 hrs. Really?! I have given you probably $10,000 in the last year and you cant do that for us. Not to mention our friend a master mechanic noticed one of the bolts on the alternator which is located by the radiator is not the right bolts and basically they rethredded/mickey moused the entire thing so we will never be able to get it off if we need to. They must have lost the original bolts as we knew they were not the same ones. We had our friend look before and said all the bolts were not the original ones either and it was put on with different size bolts not the correct ones. Its all about volume and money and not customer service. Also never got to see old radiator with the 'hole' in it. We are told by numerous mechanics that is virtually impossible for the hole in the radiator to happen. If it did actually happen, it is because the bolts used to replace the original ones were not on correctly and we should have been told the original bolts were lost and replaced. No accountability at all and if you are looking for customer service fo someplace else!

Update: Dallas, the reason you did not find me in your system was because the car was under the name Katrina. After having my car for 4 weeks, I was given the car back with the check engine light still on. The car was returned a couple of times with problems. However, Bob had fixed the issues and the car was given back to me a week later. He has gone out of his way to make up for the errors, and we are moving forward with the all clear.

Dear Dallas and Team.I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the outstanding service you provided during my recent visit to your auto shop. Your team went above and beyond to ensure that my vehicle received the care it needed, and I am truly grateful for your exceptional serviceFrom the moment I arrived, your staff was friendly, professional, and attentive. They took the time to explain the repairs needed and answer any questions I had, which gave me confidence in the work being done on my car. What truly impressed me, however, was the level of care and attention to detail that went into the repairs. Your team took the time to thoroughly inspect my vehicle and identify issues beyond what I had initially brought it in for. They provided me with regular updates on the progress of the repairs, which helped to ease any concerns I had.The quality of the workmanship was evident when I picked up my car. It ran smoother and felt like new again. I appreciate the hard work and dedication that your team put into repairing my vehicle, and I am grateful for the peace of mind that comes with knowing my car is in such capable hands. This team also delivered our car to our Venice home and left it there for us since we were out of town.Once again, thank you for the exceptional service. I will not hesitate to recommend your shop to anyone in need of quality auto service.Sincerely,Fred and Sandy BetsoleimanChicago IllService: Transmission

Brion & techs were Great!! I highly recommend them. I am new to area. After local dealership quoted a huge transmission issue with a big price tag to rebuild, I took my car to Ammco Venice for a second opinion. It was not a transmission issue at all. They fixed car quickly & a lot less $. I will go back to them first!Services: Transmission, Oil changeServices: Transmission, Oil change

Knowledgeable about my vehicle. Very responsive. Great prices. I have not used services here yet. But intended to in near future.Update...quoted $2300 for full transmission rebuild. So I had my vehicle towed in. They ended up charging me $3800. Was told 3 yr warranty comes with it. Then get my receipt, and it only had a 18 month warranty. So I paid more and got less.......Misleading on prices and services. They did not keep and show me my so called broken parts. Red flag!Hey aamco! You owe me a 3 yr warranty. If my transmission goes out before 3 years, I'll update to 1 star. If it holds up and you give me the 3 yrs I was told originally, I'll update to 5 stars.

I had major repairs done to my transmission at Aamco. Dallas and his team communicated the issues clearly and explained what the problems were and what was needed to fix everything. They even noticed a starter issue and recommended a replacement that saved me on a future labor cost. Communication was great and the work got done in a timely manner. Thanks to all for the professionalism. My transmission works like new now!Service: Transmission

I can really recommend this place. They did a great job and they really helped me out and took good care of my truck. I came from the dealership where I was being ripped off. And I had the feeling that Bob was engaged in finding out what was really wrong with my truck! Had a transmission problem and the dealership tried to replace it where AAMCO was capable of repairing it. Going to AAMCO saved me 3k for my transmission compared to the dealership!!If I ever have any issues with my car again, I will call AAMCO!
