I was just calling around to get prices on installing an alternator on my Honda Odyssey and called Mike's based of his great reviews.I spoke with Mike, the owner, and I can see why he has such amazing reviews! He's friendly and courteous, honest and fair, and is willing to work with you in every way possible!This alone was enough to earn my business!I highly recommend Mike's Place Automotive!

Just had to make another account to do another reviewMike and his crew are amazing. They ll move mountains to make customers happy! Thank you Mike! And Tina! And Ray! I don t trust my car with anyone else. They are the absolute best. They even came in on their day off wheb they re closed just to try and get my car done in time. They outwork and underprice their competition like Qmar and tuffys. Legit only place to go to have ur car fixed. I can t say enough about these guys. They show me all my bad parts bc they know I m not a mechanic and don t have the knowledge they have. They take the time to explain to you what s wrong, show you pictures and even your worn out parts. Special shout out for out to Ray for working his back into a frenzy just to get my car done. I appreciate you all so much. And their receptionist isn t just a receptionist. Tina knows her stuff and is willing to help on a car when she can. And Mike well Mike is just the king of automotive. If he can get you a deal, he will.

I called and was immediately scheduled for an appointment. Mike s place diagnosed the problem gave me a fair estimate and once parts came in my car was ready the next day. After starting the work they realized work originally in the estimate was not needed the cost went down considerably. We are here from Maine and we did not know where to bring our car, we picked the right one here. Thank you Mike s place.

We are traveling and had a problem with our power steering leaking all of the fluid out. I arrived at Mike's at 8 AM and they had me back on the road at 11:30!! Incredible service and very nice people. Best of in Tarpon Springs.

I'm gonna say it's safe to assume most of these reviews are made up on here. I'd highly advise going elsewhere. I was referred to this clown saying he's honest and cheap the guy is deaf and apparently can't hear what his customer wants done and orders what he's told not to order and installs and trys charging for it! I went in because I hit a pothole and got 2 new rims and wheels which were fine. Although his usual place didn't have my tires in stock. So he orders them elsewhere and thank God I called him because him being unprofessional never called to tell me or even tell me the tires were gonna be $200 more which he ended putting on the price if the rims then he orders the wrong size tires and trys acting like he isnt sure whag happend instead of being a man and admitting he messed up. That mistake cost me another $300 in uber rides for both jobs which he could have cared less about. Took me 3 times asking for an estimate, asked him twice why the price differential went onto the rims and he just avoided it. My main concern was a clunking noise which he never addressed, fixed or anything just said he didn't hear anything which is a joke considering it happend everytime you go into reverse. I could go on for days how much of a joke this guy is but just for 2 rims and tires a water pump a balance and an alignment which did no good because my car still goes left cost $1,700 & some change. I'd advise going elsewhere or doing the work yourself because it will be cheaper and he wont hear anything you or your car says anyways! If only giving out negative stars for a rating was possible.

If you are looking for honest and quality work I recommend Mike's place! I had been putting off repairs on my car out of fear of the problem and potential cost. When I called I spoke to Mike directly about my issue he was very informative and rational, which put my mind at ease (that is priceless in itself). I dropped my car off and Mike found my issue swiftly, and repaired this quicker than I anticipated. There were other issues with my car and I was presented with options but not pressured to make a decision on the spot. Their main priority was making sure I understood the issue at hand whether I had the work done at that time or not. That to me is incredibly valuable and shows how trustworthy they are. Mike and Tina are an awesome team and if you are looking for honest quality work I highly recommend them! #ShopLocal

Mike's auto,great people,great prices,treat you with respect and honesty. Fixed my mustang convertible motor,like brand new. They diagnosed and called me,gave me fair price and will be have Mike do all my work. Friendly service,hard to find.

My car's Alternator was replaced here at Mike's Automative services. Him and his team were very educated and professional with the How's & Why's. He also had the best price in town. I was Quoted 5X the price that Mike quoted me at a different mechanic shop. Talk about an arm and a leg SMH. Thanks Mike! Super informative helpful & honest !! A check engine light showed up on my 2018 dodge journey GT and he told me a few things that could be done about it and how to go about it in detail . I was originally going to bring it in for repair and they even offered a ride to my job ! I was about to get the light to turn off with his instructions. Super polite guy ! Hopefully my car does not have any more issues but if it does this is the first place I m calling .

Mike, the owner, fixed my muffler & did a great job. He was very reasonable & knowledgeable. He really helped me, as I was in a bit of a bind. I found him to be honest & straight forward with me. Would definitely bring my car back to them and recommend highly! They were able to fix a wheel bearing on my PT Cruiser within 2 days that Firestone claimed only a dealership could repair. Mike was able to explain what needed to be done and an estimated cost that was beyond reasonable! Any part needed was delivered same day so they fix your car quickly! Great place and very fair pricing! Thanks Mike

I took my car into Mike's and dealt with Jimmy mostly. I car had been wrecked and needed body work done. Jimmy gave the me the estimate which was reasonable. I am very happy and please with the work that was done on my car, looks like a new car. But most importantly the time given for the repairs was met which was the biggest concern that I had. Again I would take any vehicle back to them and would suggest the same to any of my friends. Very Professional and helpful on all levels.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Car trouble? Look no further! There's a reason why Mike's has such a high rating. When the starter on my Camry went down, they had me back up and running right away and charged an amazingly fair price. They answered questions, called when they said they would, and even made a great recommendation for a tow. Now THIS is how you do business. Nobody likes car troubles, but if you're in need call them because you aren't going to do any better than this. I wouldn't go anywhere else.Service: Engine repair

I recently had my 2005 Mini Cooper repaired and was very happy with the customer service and the work done on my car. It is often difficult to find a shop that is familiar with minis and is fairly priced. I highly recommended this shop. I look forward to having my car serviced here.My 2005 Mini Cooper was repaired at Mike s Affordable Automotive today. After being towed in Mike and his staff diagnosed the battery and fuel pump as the issues. I was called promptly and advised of the digaonis and the cost to repair. Mini is back on the road running great. Mike has taken excellent care of both of our cars for many years since I first went to him when he had his first shop on Levis St. in Tarpon Springs. My last experience was when he replaced a defective fuel pump three times over a period of about one year, until he finally found one that worked.Mike does not rest until he has tracked down even the most elusive problem, stands behind his work 100% even when the problem is a defective part, and insures excellent customer service from all of his employees. This is why I have no problem driving the two hours it takes to get to Tarpon Springs, after we moved from Palm Harbor to our new home North of Orlando, to continue to have him work on our 2006 Trailblazer and 2004 Envoy. Good luck trying to find a more dedicated repair team for all of your automotive needs!

I have a nice RESTO-MOD which Mike and the boys installed a completely custom new exhaust (including header). I've had one small problem with it but Mike had me bring it in immediately and it was fixed while I waited.He has also done other work for me. They have ALWAYS BEEN VERY FAIR on PRICES and eager to take care of you. Mike knows his stuff.If you have a high end car, just make sure one of his best senior techs works on it. But even for a simple job like what I had done on my most recent trip, Mike came out often to supervise what the tech was doing and offered instruction, input, and advice.I like this shop a lot, for a host of reasons (Mike, big well equipped shop, great location, very fair, can fix about anything including body work), etc. They do a very good job of accommodating their customers... But if you are looking for a fancy waiting room with internet, donuts, and a free car detail....then you are at the wrong place.

Mike always does a great job, gone there twice now. Prices are way better than going to the dealership, and he doesn't try to rip you off. His work is 5 star and he gets it done when he tell's you it will be ready.I highly recommend Mike's Place and thanks once again for doing me right.

Mike is professional, remarkably knowledgeable, thorough, very fair and a man of value and character. His business ethic and concern for his clients is exemplary. Our entire family takes our autos there. From a 1997 Jeep to a 2017 F150 4x4, and a 2018 Escape, We know that our autos are in good hands. .

Mike did an amazing job on a Magnaflow exhaust conversion on my '14 Ram 1500. I'm not very knowledgeable, but Mike knew exactly what I was looking for. I couldn't be happier with the job done and the price I paid. Thanks Mike!Response to your response.... looks like I'm getting about an additional mile and a half per gallon. As long as I keep my foot out of it. Sounds so good though it's hard!

With Mike at the helm, Jimmy on the body, and Ray on the wrench, they have a tight professional crew that actually takes pride in what they do. This is the only garage to bring your custom car to if you can get an appointment. These guys are booked tight because real car guys know where to go, it's worth it. 6/5 stars

Amazing auto service. Fixed my high end Volvo without over charging for service. Having issues with my BMW and definitely going back to repair it with Mike's. Highly recommend this shop. We all know good mechanics are hard to find.

Mike is an experienced, knowledgeable and honest auto mechanic. When the "Check Engine" light came on in our VW Passat less than a month after we'd bought it, we were really concerned that a costly repair would be needed. Mike took his time to test the car thoroughly and diagnose the problem. The simple fix that was required was a far cry from what this would've likely turned into, had we gone to the VW dealership. Mike's fee for the job was more than reasonable - we feel that he saved us a lot of unnecessary expenses and aggravation. Many thanks!

My wife and I drove from Melbourne to Tarpon Springs for a weekend anniversary getaway on July 8. Upon arrival at our hotel, I noticed our brakes had badly overheated. This was on a Friday at mid-afternoon. We checked in to the hotel and immediately began calling local repair shops for emergency service, but the first three we rang were unavailable/outside Friday business hours for the area.On our fourth attempt we connected with Mike at his auto repair shop. Although he was wrapping up a busy week of business, he urged us to get to his shop as soon as possible, as he was only a couple of miles from our hotel. We barely made it there as the brakes were trying to lock up on our Honda Pilot. His shop staff immediately took the vehicle in and began to diagnose the problem. They identified parts that were needed to make repairs and Mike called in to his network of suppliers and insisted they ship parts to him right away--but not all parts would be there before Monday. We were offered a ride to the sponge docks by one of Mike's mechanics (Shawn or Sean--he has one each on staff) to begin our weekend. A big thanks for that kind gesture!Mike and his crew prioritized repairs to our vehicle and completed them as promptly as possible, enabling us to return home and contact our dealer for OEM support. Additionally, Mike contacted the Honda Service Center and provided guidance on additional necessary repairs, ensuring the dealer offered wholesale pricing on a very expensive OEM part (the vehicle stability module).Whether you reside in Tarpon Springs or are just visiting, if you have any auto repair needs do not hesitate to contact Mike or any of his crew to service your vehicle at an affordable price.--James and Danielle G

UPDATE: OWNER cares more about getting a bad review then fixing the problem. Once I arrived this morning to get the part that should have already been replaced already (if they didn't order the wrong part the first time), the owner proceeded to scream at me using profanities in front of my daughter. He also insulted my wife for no apparent reason during his rant. I went there for them to fix my car stalling.... 240 dollars later i have new spark plugs and the same problem. Owner said to buy expensive gas and that will fix it. I never heard of this magical gas that fixed cars that stall. I definitely learner my lesson dealing with this individual.RESPONSE TO OWNER: the price of the first time you worked on my car went from 1750 to 2200 to 2475. At the end it was the same price as the other shop and you held the car for 2 weeks waiting for the parts to come in; leaving me without a car even though you know I have a baby, just because you didn't feel like putting the car back together. I don't know why you're trying to defend yourself. If you didnt come at me so unprofessionally and tried to fix the problem this morning you wouldnt have a bad review.
