Read through some of the previous reviews and it seems a lot of the 1 star reviews about this place are people just getting their first vehicle and aren't used to waiting at the dealership or are super poor and got other substances to buy rather than take care of the important stuff.I went to this location and the gentleman that helped me, told me he would come outside and look at my car first before writing it up, this way I wasn't wasting time.Once outside he found the issue with my tire and then told me it was not repairable and then explained to me why, apparently the location of the screw in my tire was to close to the sidewall and seeing as how I drove the car while the tire was flat, it was to damaged to fix.He took a quick look at all my tires and suggested I get all 4, seeing as how they were all over 6 years old and really dry, I told him I just wanted to get the one tire for now and he agreed and didn't force me to buy all 4, but had suggested signing up for the credit card.After leaving I had called back and told him to go ahead with all 4 after thinking about how bad the tires were, he told me I didn't have to and it was just a suggestion, then told me again about the credit card and he would discount the price for signing up when i came to pick up the car, I did and didn't get approved, but I knew I wouldn't, Don still gave me the discount and got me 4 new tires, I just hope they last 6 years.

I need to give a big thanks to AJ the GM. I had 4 rotors and all new brake pads replaced last week. Unfortunately something happened, to no fault of theirs, that caused one of the brake shields to bend/break and rub the rotor. I called AJ and he asked me to bring it in asap to evaluate the situation.They had my car back to me within an hour back in perfect shape. I couldn't be more thankful to them for getting me back on the road.

I noticed this evening that these incompetent morons left my hood open today. It could have flown open on the highway and caused an accident. I went there for a tire patch. They had no business opening my hood and inspecting anything without asking. They also didn't put on the original valve stem cap on my brand new wheel before I left so I had to have them find it and put it back on. I also had to quickly put one of their employees in line recently because he gave me a little attitude for no reason. You would think with a review score of less than a 4, upper management would get these fools to do a better job.

Dan and Josh were exceptional, they were knowledgeable of the reason I returned, Don kept me entertained while Josh worked on my car, the customer service of them both were above and beyond. I really appreciate them both, after driving from St.Pete under speed limit and going to the store, they both had me in and out with my car in perfect condition, thank you Dan and Josh, you guys are what customer service are.

Josh and Don were great. They answered all my questions and explained everything perfectly. Didn t try to sell me things I didn t need. Just did what was needed gave good recommendations and sent me on my way! I will definitely return to this location!

Looking for an honest mechanic near downtown after the closing of Firestone on Kennedy, I came by here to have my battery checked. I had a coupon for a free battery check and wasn't having any problems, but I was told when I had an oil change elsewhere that my battery was a little low. Tires Plus told me my battery was just fine, and then charged me $53 for that (something most places do for free), saying my coupon wasn't good for that service. Then they tried to sell me struts, which I already had replaced. So I guess I'm still in search of an honest mechanic near downtown.

This was the worst tire place I have ever gone to. I was desperate to have my tire looked at, and repaired if needed do to a a screw that was in the center of the tire. I got to the location at 7:20am, and waited till 8:00am for the place to open on Sunday March 4th. Three mechanics showed up to open at 8:00am. I had to drive back to Ft. Lauderdale , and leave by 10:00am. I was the only person waiting, but the mechanic said he had cars sitting since the day before, and had to do them first before looking at my tire, and it would be 2-3 hours before getting to me. I pleaded with the guy to please help me out, but he would not budge. I can understand if he had customers sitting there, but I was the only one. Also I offered a nice tip if he or one of the other guys could help. I have been to many tire places, and even if they were busy they would usually help me even if I waited a short time since this was an a pretty quick fix. I left in disgust, and went to another tire place who took care of me.

All staff at this location were friendly, courteous and professional every step of the way. My service advisor, Charles, answered my many questions respectfully and to my satisfaction. While explaining the additional recommended services, at no time did I feel pressured into purchasing services other than those that were the purpose of my visit. Thank you, Charles.

Bought 4 new tires in the last month. I got the warranty and 10 days later I have a nail no worries the are going to repair. But picking up car for the 2nd time. I keep having problems 1st time car was blocked in and tire pressure lights were not reset and still low and car. As for today I called to see if the repair was done at 3:35pm they said yes. I get there at 4:10pm and it hasn't even been touched oh don't worry your next the service and communication has truly gone down! Very disappointed

I arranged an appointment for my vehicle maintenance work like the tires and an alignment. My vehicle has been at the facility since 6:45am appointment was 7. Got it to be completed at 3pm. I missed an whole day of work for this.

Make sure you tell them you want a cheaper tire than what they quote you for. I know nothing about cars or tires and when I needed mine replaced they told me a price that was for the most expensive tire which in my eyes is shady. I will be going to Tampa Tires and Wheels from now on because they are upfront and try to figure out what is best within your budget. Tires Plus is just close to me but going to the other place will be worth the drive. I give two stars because the staff isn t rude.Service: Tires

Best Tire Shop in Downtown Tampa & South Tampa with the Most Convenient Hours during the Week Mon-Fri 7AM-7PM & Sat 7AM-5PM ! Great Competitive Pricing on Tires & Alignment, and experience w/ BMW's, which some shops are afraid to touch. Located close to UT, right next to the gas station on South Blvd and across from Enterprise Rent-A-Car & Outpost Tap House. Thanks Guys!

Don t go here they are con artist. Tires plus tried to con me with having to replace 2 tires because of flat, supposedly they could not plug the flat. I took my car less than 11 months old, to Ollin and they fixed the flats.Service: TiresService: Tires

Pricey, and I never dropped my car without paying over $1000 and over that not only that they give me a price and the next day they discover new stuff abd let me pay moreNot really friendly if you get a better place,runMy first and last time to deal with them..they target students since they're near UT but the actual thing is taking all your money ..

I went here yesterday to get an inspection on my car because it was overheating. The inspection was $140 and usually it's only $29.99. That should have been the first red flag. An hour later, I get a call about my engine needing to be replaced for a leak that they could not get to. When I arrived to receive my car, the man there offered to repair my engine for $8,000-$10,000 and when I refused, he said that I would be better off selling my car and can get back $2,000. Luckily, I ended up getting an second opinion and found out it was my coolant hose that had busted and needed to be replaced. I would not even go to this place again or give them my business. When the other mechanic check my fluids, he noticed that they didn't even top off my coolant or put my Lexus cover back on to cover the engine. I had to go and back and ask for it. I truly believe that if you are not aware of what these big companies are doing, they will try to take your money because they have to recover from the pandemic. Please be careful out here with these places and always get a second opinion! Have a great day!

Called after they screwed up an alignment and the guy told us to come back the next afternoon. When we got there the next day they said it would be 3-4 days before they could look at the car again. This place is a joke don't waste your time.

So, I ve been to the place at least 10 times over a period of 5 years. For 4 years, they have been good. The last 3 times have been absolutely awful. Had an oil change done, they did not filled up any fluids (I.e. windshield washer fluid), they didn t reset my oil change timer and they did not air up my tired. The last time I went they denied me the warranty on my battery. After leaving I immediately when on-line and ordered an electric vehicle, they should arrive in 4 to 5 months. NEVER an oil change or have to deal with batteries again for companies offering poor customer service.

The TirePlus on 1010 W. Kennedy Blvd in Tampa, FL. is our neighborhood vehicle repair center. Doing the housing building market, I received a nail in my tire. I Immediately went to my TirePlus to have it repair. My technician told me, that the nail didn't punching all the way through. It was imbedded into the threads of my tire, and I didn't need any repair done. That's why I like TirePlus because of the honesty and service.

Was sitting for over 30 minutes and couldn t get service. Chose to go to Midas after being there for for 28 minutes and he couldn t find my car ..despite the manager honking at me when driving in . Midas had tires for 40 dollars cheaper. Go there, not wait, less money.Service: TiresService: Tires

I went to this business for a simple tire patch due to a nail in my tire. I dropped off my car around 3:30 pm and was told that they wouldn t have the service done by end of day which they closed at 6:00 and I wasn t given a call until noon the following day. They stated they couldn t patch my tire due to a tire splice and that I needed to purchase 4 brand new tires and brakes from them to fix my car. I responded that I would only pay for a tire patch and I was told that no other business would be able to patch my tire. I decided to go elsewhere and pick up my car. When I picked up my car they didn t even show me what the issue was with my tire and after leaving and getting on the highway I noticed they didn t even close my hood all the way. Given the fact that I was only there for a tire patch. I went to another business and they patched my tire within an hour with no issues. It is disappointing and frustrating for a business to take advantage of someone just looking for a simple service and making into a larger ordeal.Service: Tires

Fantastic! Rep at the desk was amazing, and did not push everything. Told me what needed to b fixed/cost, then he was very helpful figuring what needed immediate attention. Then he helped me find the best pricing options. Best experience I've had at mechanic in my 22years owning vehicles

If you come here, be sure to get a second opinion on their recommendations. I went in because two tires were losing air and needed repair and they ended up telling me I supposedly needed three of my tires replaced. They claimed two of the tires had nails in awkward angles of the nails in each tire and that one of the tires had two nails too close to each other, making repair impossible. In total, with everything else they recommended, including new wiper blades ($70.99 each, so $141.98 for two), my bill would come down to about $1,600. I was suspicious, so I declined everything they recommended, paid for the inspection, and immediately called Tire Choice in Downtown Tampa for a second opinion. As it turns out, only two of my tires needed repair, and there was no tire with two nails too close together as Tires Plus had claimed. After Tire Choice's other recommendations, my bill came down to about $300. Will never be coming here ever again.Service: Tires

I hit the biggest pothole I ve ever seen in Tampa and these guys had my unique size tire on hand and were able to get me in immediately so that I could get back on my work day. In fact, a worker stayed a little after his shift in order to get me in and out. Big help. Highly recommendService: TiresService: Tires

they are interested in changing a tire where they can charge you more than 200.00 dollars.my son went there to get flat tire fixed they said it can't be fixed.but other shop is ready to fix it just for 25 bucks.what message they are conveying to a young guy ? that we are changing a new tire for more than 200.00 which can be fixed for 25.00 .even when he requested to fill little air the guy at shop said him " if we put little air it will be burst what an excuse .they excuse to make money and not giving proper advise and service.beware of such places.

My tire had a small finishing nail about 2 inches away from the outer edge. We took it to Tires Plus on Kennedy BLVD today to get it removed and patched. The service member told my husband that the nail was too close to the edge and that he needed to purchase a new tire. My husband knew that the nail wasn t too close to the edge, so we took it up the street to another tire place, and it was patched with no problem! Tires Plus at this location is scamming people into spending money unnecessarily! I will never go here again!

Brought my car in for an oil change and ended up also getting my brakes redone (now that it s done, it was very noticeably needed). Everyone there was great. I worked with Mike in the office and he was an absolute delight. I ve been going to Tires Plus for a long time but it was definitely one of my best experiences there.
