I was very impressed with the service I received at RI Automotive. Gus was my service agent and he informed me of the repairs needed, which ones were most important to do now and provided a detailed estimate. I took the car to the dealership for a second opinion because I am a female and have no knowledge of auto repair. Once I received the second estimate confirming the repairs needed, I reached out to Gus to schedule the service. I had my car dropped off on a Tuesday and the repairs would be completed by Friday. I was informed each step of the way, when the parts were received, to the car was being worked on, then to the completion and test drive. Gus also asked me to bring the car back for an inspection a week later to make sure the car was no longer leaking. I have never received a service so superior as to this company! I thank you for your honesty and great work!

Owner of the company helped me was friendly and check in. He took my comments and got my car into the bay. They were fairly quick and they came to me on what my vehicle needed. Everything was priced well. I couldn't afford to do everything my car needed but they did everything they could to make sure my vehicle is road worthy.Atfer about 90 minutes, they finished all the work. I told the owner that I would be back to finish the recommendations they quoted.The wait area and clean and they even provided coffee, soda, water and snacks while I waited.I will definitely be back. I would recommend this shop to other people who need a great place to take their vehicles.

I had 4 new tires installed and an alignment done, oil changed with filter. As always, the work performed was done professionally with complete customer satisfaction! Collin and crew are the best. I started coming to RI Automotive in late 2020 and have brought my vehicles to them ever since!

I found this company to be very professional, informative and most importantly HONEST! I brought my Jeep in to have it looked at as I was getting a check engine warning. After diagnosing the issue, the owner informed me I had a major issue and would need an entire engine replacement. He looked for used engines as well as new engines and outlined the costs, which amounted to a pretty significant price tag considering I was having to replace the entire engine. As I was contemplating what I wanted to do with the vehicle, one of their managers reviewed my vehicle information and realized I was still under the powertrain warranty! We double checked and confirmed that to be the case. I ended up paying RI for the diagnosis and took the jeep to a certified jeep dealership and they diagnosed the jeep with the same issue RI found and put the new engine in for me, all covered under warranty. RI Automotive's integrity and customer service in my case was outstanding and I would not hesitate to recommend them to family and friends. Thanks RI !!

Highly recommend RI Automotive. The garage and waiting area were clean and everyone who I dealt with were very informative, professional, and a pleasure to work with. They dealt with my warranty company and negotiated on my behalf to get more covered than what the warranty company was allotting . The owner followed up with me the day after I picked up my car to ensure I was satisfied with the work they did and I was not experiencing any issues. Great service and affordable.

RI Automotive saved me. We installed a new rack and I needed an alignment. I went with Pep Boys and it was a huge mistake. They were supposed to have done it first thing Monday morning, but they called at 10:30am to tell me about all of these things I need and they wanted to sell me, after that they finally tell me they can't even do my alignment because their machine broke... which left me in a jam because I needed to take my son to an appointment at 2:30. I called RI, not only could they squeeze me in on the same day, but they had me bring it in and they got it done in an hour and a half. We were able to make our appointment thanks to RI being so quick and accommodating, they were also kind and the price was good. Thanks RI!

Replaced my transmission and gave me a loaner car while it was in the shop for a week in a half. They also offer 15% off on shop fees for first time customers. Definitely will be back if I need more repairs in the future!

The experience was pleasant, the waiting area was clean and quiet with refreshments. One of the best shops I've visited in years. You definitely left a positive impression. I also appreciate the follow up email with descriptions on what was done and any potential problems.

Finally, I have found a good repair (and maintenance) shop. They're competent, know watercooled Volkswagens and are truly nice folks. They are the sort of shop that says, BTW you have a small oil leak we need to look at on your next visit and one of your front rotors is getting thin and should be replaced soon. The oil leak turned out to be the result of over tightening of the filter and drain plug by some previous service at another shop. (It is a high mileage 17 year old used car I am restoring that was in to mount new tires and wheels)I can assure you my next visit for both of my cars will be to RI Automotive. One final note: First time in a long time I have felt the price of car repairs was reasonable.

I came in here a week ago, they were very helpful listening and investigating why my suv was wasting so much gas, the speed would get stuck at 2 , and take long to accelerate. They had found out my transmission was going to fail soon. Noticed a couple other problems. They told me the reason I was having all those issues was bc my car had a cvt transmission. Its true. I believed them. Explained everything that they found in my suv which is great but I just didn't like how they charged me $205 dollars for them to look at it in depth (level 2 diagnostic). I appreciate everything they did. But I feel like I cant come in there now cause they are going to charge me an inspection fee everytime I bring it in wondering about an issue with my car. Tire choice doesnt do that, other dealerships I know havent charged me that much just to take a look at my suv. I bring my car in to any other place and they look at it , tell me whats going on and charge me just for what needs to be fixed. They dont charge me to just look at my car. If the diagnostic testing wasnt that much I wouldn't be so upset. I am just a girl, with a normal minimum wage job. And paying $200 for a mechanic to just look at my car and tell me whats wrong with it, isn't fair.Thank you.

Husband and wife business first off they are very kind respectful people. Love the woman's touch in the lobby. My Ford escape is 22 years old (not easy to get parts) the SERVICE EXCELLENT. THE REPAIR WORK GREAT......Best of all THE PRICES are JAW DROPPING LOW!! Oh yes, they continuely keep you up to date. 1st time visiting and everyone was very courteous and honest. I came to get my tires fixed due to a nail in my tire. I quickly found out that I did not need a tire fixed. The staff could have easily said to pay for something but, instead they said tire was not damaged. Thank you for that. Money is tight for most people and really appreciate we have honest businesses like RI Automotive. I would highly recommended them.

I called them for a pre-purchase inspection on a vehicle, and they not only accommodated my request but also saved me from potential issues. Unfortunately, the dealership had refused them permission to inspect the car, hinting at potential problems. RI Automotive's professionalism spared me a lot of time and hassle. I'll start by saying this is a wonderful shop. Not only great Customer Service but as a woman you won't feel misled or taken advantage of going here alone for car maintenance. Over the years they've fixed my AC when it stopped blowing cold, and recently my catalystic converter. That was the largest job I've had done soo I waited a few months to see how things would go and as expected my car is running great and she's back to her normal self. For the working folks they even offer rental car to use to get back and forth like you won't find any better in my opinion. The warranty on the work gives peace of mind as well!! They will tail u in with sweet lies and then bam nearly 3000$ just for a AC repair ? And they not only gotten me they re known to scam many USF students or anyone with or without car knowledge- they get u to leave ur car n tell u one price 180$ - then Gus will call u to let u know they Run into som Problems n discovered n issue the cost - nearly 3000$$$$$

EDIT: The owner, Collin, contacted me after this incident and has made the situation right. His response to the situation was fair and appropriate. While the incident described was accurate and unfortunate, Collin s response is indicative of his businesses exceptionally high rating. I will leave it with this, I would not dissuade anyone from using RI Automotive, but if you have an issue, ask for Collin, the owner, and work through it.Be very careful of this repair facility!My son, who is in college, had an issue with his car overheating. Very quickly, talking to him over the phone, we realized that the electric fans were not working, causing his car to overheat. Because I travel for work, and live several hours away, I asked my son to look for a reputable shop. RI Automotive came up with a 4.9 rating. We figured that they must be a fair place to go.It started with them telling my son it would be $90 to diagnose the fan issue. Since it takes time, and I am out of town, I told my son to go ahead and get it diagnosed. Then, Gus from RI Automotive called my son and told him that issue wasn't with the fan, but with the A/C; it had started to blow warm at the same time the car started to overheat. They told him that it would be another $90 to diagnose the A/C issue. Not knowing what to do, my son had Gus call me. When I spoke to Gus, he told me that the fan was fine, but they thought the A/C compressor was "coming apart", causing metal shavings to clog the A/C system, causing it to over-pressurize, causing the fans to shut down. I questioned this, telling him I would have thought the overpressure would cause the fans to kick on, to try to cool the system. Gus said that on a Ford, it shuts the fans down. Very skeptical, but realizing they had a 4.9 rating, and maybe they knew something I didn't, I authorized the next diagnosis.Then next day, I get a call from Gus, telling me they had discovered the expansion valve in the A/C system was clogged, but the compressor was fine. He then told me that they needed to put a new fan on also. I questioned the fan, since the prior day he had told me the fan was OK. He then went on to tell me that when the expansion valve plugged, and the system over-pressurized, it damaged the fan. This is when I knew this was just a scam. The electric fan is not part of the A/C pressure system, and the A/C system cannot damage the fans.To make matters worse, they said the car needed the A/C fixed, electric fans, breaks, and spark plugs for a total of $2600 ($350 for the A/C, $900 for the electric fan, $1000 for front brakes, and the rest for spark plugs and misc.)So, RI Automotive, here is the issue: the electric fan was bad, not drawing any air across the radiator or A/C condenser, causing the car to overheat and the A/C to blow warm. You could not diagnose the A/C and read the pressures in the system when the fans were not pulling air across the condenser. In addition, I didn't ask you to pull the wheels off and try to sell me brakes, and I didn't ask for spark plugs you didn't look at.So today, my son and I bought a $211 fan and spent an hour putting it in. Now the car doesn't overheat and the A/C pressures are normal, with the system blowing ice cold air.So, RI Automotive, you simply were trying to scam a college kid and his parents that were trusting you to be fair. You failed morally, ethically, and technically. You should be ashamed of this situation. I hope no one else has to pay $180 to be lied to and taken advantage of.
