Great for tires. Questionable on recent brake job. Replaced all brake rotors and pads. A month later the brake caliber bolt fell out and scratched my wheels. They took it back and fixed the bolt not the wheel free of charge. But the next day another caliber bolt fell out. I went to autozone and replaced all bolts and torque them to spec. I haven t had an issue since.

Jason is very awesome. Very pleasant and calm demeanor. The other gentlemen was very nice but I did not get his name. The service was great and thorough. They listened to me and did exactly what I wanted and even quoted good price for a full synthetic oil change. Was 30 bucks cheaper than most places. I will definitely be back for that oil change. The price for the Coopers was fantastic. Thank you guys for being kind and with very good pricing.

I wouldn't recommend anyone who doesn't know enough to double check these people's answers go anywhere near this place. On multiple occasions I have found them to be either incompetent or lying, not really sure which.This last time, I went in due to a battery voltage issue since it was still under their warranty (as my brake, brake fluid, hill assist, and power steering lights came on my dash all at the same time, which points to battery voltage). The guy was completely dismissive of it saying that can't be the battery, but they did the battery test anyway.Test showed battery was healthy so I paid for a diagnostic, where they tried to quote me $1200 to replace the brakes and even more to replace the brake master, and tried to pass it off as that being the reason my dash lights were on. This guy thought that the best way to try to sell me on this was to tell me that my brakes were worn down which had used too much brake fluid, and that's why my brake fluid was low..?? Didn't have the heart to explain to him that that's not how brakes work at all, but I did find it interesting that he was making the whole thing about the brakes and was completely ignoring the power steering and hill assist dash lights.So I declined, the same dude brought my car to the front, which means he was inside the car driving it, so it was curious that he didn't notice that....None of the dash warning lights were on anymore. Because guess what, they had to charge the battery to test it, which solved the voltage issue that I told them to begin with was the issue. So EITHER they have no idea what they're doing, or the more likely option, they intentionally withheld information and lied in order to upsell me.But I guess I appreciate the reminder that my brakes weren't in great shape, so I went to my local auto parts store and spent $250 on brake pads and rotors and spent a couple hours replacing them rather than giving these guys $1200 for it.

I always used pepboys in Daytona fl and the mechanic there was nice and always helped me find reasonable cost even if it wasn t with them, but the pepboys on Florida ave in Tampa fl was wayyy different- the mechanic was upset that I was asking questions which I understand maybe he is tired of people asking questions ok I get it , but he quoted me 895$ For throttle body to be replaced he said the part was about 340$ and the labor was 500$ - I m glad that my relative told me to get a second opinion so I called another mechanic (tuffys) I called them and they said they can order the part for 169$ and the labor would be around 120$ could be more if they run into any issues. But still that s like a 400$ difference. Pepboys are charging a lot for labor when it won t take that much time to do the service please consult with local mechanics and just don t settle for the high-end price that the big name shops (pepboys, Firestone, dealers ) will give you . & then when I told him I have to shop around and see if I can get it fixed elsewhere due to my budget and it being the first of the month I just paid rent and all other bills , he said well ok well we re still charging you for the diagnostic which is 118$ Don t go to this place only if you need floor mats or something that s basic

My daughter's car was towed to this location after getting a flat tire in Tampa. Steve and the team collaborated with us to help get her on her way as fast as possible. The replacement tire was supposed to be delivered to their shop the next business day but there was a delay. We were able to find the exact tire needed from a local BMW dealer. Steve s team was able to pick up the tire and get it installed the same day as promised. The team went above and beyond to get this resolved! Great customer service and communication!

Went in because my car had a burning smell when I drove and the check engine light was on. Paid almost $1000 for exhaust sensors to be changed and the smell never went away and the check engine light was back on within the week. Could not get a refund or another mechanic here to help afterward. Don t go here

Robert was absolutely wonderful! He helped me identify an issue with one of my cylinders misfiring and was patient and friendly throughout the whole process and dealt with my warranty company (who didn t help at all). Great service!

I was having a messed up morning, and I had a long drive ahead of me. Then I noticed a low tire and something was in it. Went to Pep Boys and Robert greeted me, said he had 3 customers ahead of me and probably couldn't get to me till 1030. Not what anyone wants to hear. I said ok, and took a seat. It looked like he was working with a skeleton crew, I only saw him and 2 two other young men cranking through cars and the phone wouldn't stop ringing. Someone called and messed up their appointment and I said "is that lady luck knocking on my door". Soon later I saw the car pull up front, and I was on the road. Everyone that was there Sunday morning I want to extend a huge THANK YOU and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

Customer service at the shop is great and they kept me up to date and informed but do yourself a favor and find a local mechanic. They quoted me over $1,200 to have my shifter cable replaced and then charged me $400+ for a new battery. I had my car towed to Fix-to-Go on Nebraska and they initially quoted me $400 for the shifter cable but then called me back to let me know the whole cable actually DOESN'T need to be replaced, just a portion, and my total cost will be $250.That's almost $1,000 difference.Local is the way to go.

Made an appointment to have 4 tires mounted. Arrived early and was promptly assisted by the manager Joe. My vehicle was handled with care and even inspected, pointing out things that may need to be taken care of soon. I've always used Pep Boys and have never had a bad experience. This time was no different. Obviously, I highly recommend this service center.

We got our SUV serviced at here a couple weeks ago. It was the first time using this company in over 15 years since my previous car.The customer service was great but I feel like there was not a clear understanding when it came to what the car needed done. We were having some coolant issues and one of our fans needed to be replaced. I had gotten quotes from 2 mechanics prior and both of them did say the fan needed to be replaced. With that said, I was near the area and a family member thought it would be best to go to Pep boys since it was a emergency situation.Long story....our fan did not get replaced but 2 other parts were fixed and the car is still doing the same thing. Honestly, I don't even feel like letting them know but this review may show the company. We were told it may happen and we had a mechanic at a Auto Zone look at it and said the fan would of been the best thing to replace and stop the issue. We realize the vehicle is getting up there too and parts are getting older.I know we are all humans and things happen but my gut told me to stick with the plan but with me being near by and in a situation it was that option I guess at the moment.I don't know a lot about cars but I do know if 3 mechanics said to fix a certain part.....When it comes to service like this.....I always take a couple weeks before giving a review because it is a vehicle Keep up the good work when it comes to customer service but take the time to listen then respond.

I have always had a great experience with Pep Boys. Their staff are pleasant and easy to work with, explaining what's needed and quoting prices before beginning work. I wish I had paid more attention to their names but kudos to them all!

This place is amazing! The mechanic, Nolan, did an amazing job on my car and communicated so well with me about what was happening and what needed to be done. He went out of his way to make sure everything was completed to perfection and on time! If you come to this location I definitely recommend Nolan being your mechanic!!

This tire service was most welcome. I arrived at the appointment time and believe it or not the service center was ready without waiting. This current manager did a good job with the needed personnel and the workload. I hope they keep up the good work.

I think his name is Robert at the front desk with dyed brown hair, he's extremely rude and disrespectful and should hope I never see him outside of his workplace. I paid almost a thousand dollars for a rattle in my motor that they DID NOT FIX. They overcharged me for things I didn't even need done while ignoring my initial request. Fire Robert and do Pep Boys a favor.

Last Saturday I was in the North Tampa area and someone told me there was fluid coming from the tire area. I had just done a brake job the week before and was surprise to hear. Nevertheless, I pulled up just before closing and told Brian that I had some work done at another location recently.I rate them a 5 because they owned the customer experience, inspected the car, fix the problem and made my safety a top priority .although it was close to closing time. They were courteous and professional. * I was so pleased I had pizza sent to their location the following day, just to say thank you.

I needed tires for my Corvette and didn't think they would be able to do the job. Brian ordered my tires so they would be there when I came in. He assured me there would be no problems taking care of my car. He was right!

The Pep Boys on Florida Ave. has changed alot over the years. They are not very customer friendly anymore. The waiting room there has a few chairs that are all torn up and tattered. And there was a sign on the front door that there was no working bathrooms. And not everyone can be dropped off. So, you are just stuck there. I was lucky to get in and out that day some what fast (1 hour). That is why 3 stars. And when you take their survey online, if you don't put 5 stars (excellent) you are asked why not. (every question). So their survey is really useless. Where can you get an oil change that doesn't cost alot (over-priced) anymore or you have to wait hours except places like this. And usually you do have to wait a long time just for an oil change. Since COVID everything has changed and they are not going back. Customers used to be of value back then.

This place is garbage. Brought my q60 in for 4 new tires, alignment and oil change. Slower than molasses. Could not prove they did the alignment, promised me they did and charged me for it. I left the store and my car is pulling to the right. Keep in mind this is a newer sports car. I ll be bringing my car to WheelTec in Tampa to get the issue fixed. Corporate needs to come in and overhaul this place with more competent staff and technicians.

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Dealt with Robert when I called to schedule an oil change. He was super nice & very professional. They serviced my car & I was out of there in no time. Used to go to a different Pepboys for many years, but they've really went down hill in ALL areas (mostly customer service & communication). I will absolutely continue going to this Pepboys instead. Robert & his team made up for the horrible experience & they won my business back again! Highly recommend!

I changed the brake pads and the discs only lasted 1 month when I go to the store they say they don't have time to check it out they treat you well because they want your money after they take your money and there is a problem for everything they are excuses bad bad bad bad.they charge a lot and used cheaper things

Garrett, Carter and Nolan are absolutely amazing. I was very impressed with their customer service and knowledge. It is clear they are leaders at this shop. I come to them every time I need help with my car, and I know I can trust them. Carter really helped me organize everything and quoted me an extremely great price that didn t break the bank, and that is what I paid out the door. I needed 4 new tires, brake pads and rotors, brake flush, & alignment. They did everything quickly and efficiently, and kept in contact with me so I knew when my car was ready. My car drives smoother than ever. Being a young girl, shops usually try to hustle me & add extra things I m not sure if I need. Carter and Garrett were super informative & helped educate me in simple terms on my car & what I needed. My dad likes them & he hates everyone. Lol. I m so happy I have a place to go if I need help with my car, somewhere with trustworthy people who aren t just out for money. It s rare in the world today. They go the extra mile happily. Can t express my gratitude for the team at this location. Top notch.

Very helpful and honest experience. Came in with a flat tire and was looking for a fix or new tire. Mechanic was honest and told me he couldn t find a problem but would replace the valve stem just in case. I ve been taken advantage of before at other tire places, so that level of transparency was refreshing. Online appointment setting was a breeze and I was quickly taken care of upon arrival. Brian was at the register to help when I came in and he was very helpful. Will definitely come again.
