I had a blow out and didn't feel comfortable changing to the spare. I called Mike's Auto and they told me it would be 1 hour before a truck could arrive. Within half an hour, Jacob rolled up. They could tow it for $120 or change to the spare for $65. I chose to use the spare. It was a good thing I didn't try to change it myself because my spare was flat. Jacob had a mini compressor on pumped it up. Jacob was very pleasant and got the job done quickly. I will call Mike's Auto next time I need road side services!

In the weeks leading up to our visit to Mike's auto repair establishment, our car trouble began with a recent alternator replacement. Despite our car initially running fine, it suddenly came to a halt a week later. This set the stage for our encounter with Mike, and little did we know the frustration that lay ahead.Upon entering Mike's shop and inquiring about the cost to inspect our starter, we were met with a seemingly impressive pitch. Mike talked a good talk, offering to tow our immobile car from our house to his shop, which, on the surface, appeared to be a generous gesture. However, my skepticism grew as he urged us to rush our decisions, a tactic I've learned to be cautious of.Compounding my unease, Mike avoided direct questions about pricing. Typically, mechanics base their charges on the time required for a specific job, but Mike insisted on towing our car for free, which seemed too good to be true. Despite my reservations, my boyfriend, eager to get his car working, agreed to proceed. After leaving the shop, I insisted on taking time to think it over. However, the allure of a quick solution was too much for my boyfriend to resist. We contacted Mike again, hoping for a clear price range, and to our surprise, he offered to retrieve the car immediately, assuring us that examining it would be free of charge. The car spent the night at Mike's shop, and by the next afternoon, he claimed it was ready. Excitement filled the air as we arrived at the shop, only for my question about the repairs to reveal that he had replaced the alternator the very part we had recently installed ourselves. Despite this setback, Mike had fixed a hood dent and taped up our cracked sunroof, enhancing the car's physical appearance. In that moment, Mike seemed like a hero to us. My boyfriend, with a beaming smile, drove the car home, thrilled that it was working again. Unfortunately, this happiness was short-lived. The car failed to start shortly afterward, prompting a call to Mike. He retrieved the car, only to inform us days later that a hose needed replacement. However, my knowledge of car repairs made me question his diagnosis. The air intake hose, a part we had replaced a few months prior, was a simple component to assemble, and the part itself was inexpensive. Yet, Mike charged us nearly $200, claiming our existing hose had a hole. This raised suspicions, and when my boyfriend paid for the supposed fix, the car still wouldn't start.Angry and frustrated, my boyfriend requested a refund, but Mike insisted the car needed a new fuel pump. This contradiction puzzled us the same car Mike returned to us twice was suddenly in need of a fuel pump. It felt like our car was deliberately sabotaged to coerce us into buying another vehicle from him.Undeterred, my boyfriend asked for the car to be towed back home, refusing to give Mike another dime. When the car was returned, it was carelessly placed in front of our house, nearly blocking our neighbor's driveway. This review encapsulates the rollercoaster of disappointment and frustration we experienced with Mike's auto repair. From unnecessary repairs to conflicting diagnoses, our trust was shattered, leaving us questioning both the integrity of the repairs and Mike's intentions.

Mike is a down to earth mechanic. I had my car towed to him to see what was wrong with it. He did a thorough check of the engine and gave me a report. It was very precise and explained everything to me. The repairs were done and the car ran great. Mike is knowledgeable and fair. His prices are great. I told him I found my new mechanic. I will be back.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Auto engine tuning, Engine repair, Auto maintenance

Thanks Mike for helping me out with my simple oil change. Always a pleasure yammering with you. You helped me once before with my ripped off engine guard under my low car and did it again today with the oil change. Thanks so much. Hopefully, NOT see you soon.

"Ah, buckle up for my wild ride with Mike's auto shop! Picture this: transparency issues about pricing that left me more confused than a cat in a laser show. Hidden fees? Oh, they were like surprise party guests unexpected and not in a good way.Communication with Mike was like trying to decode ancient hieroglyphics a real head-scratcher. And let's not forget the unprofessional circus, complete with negative remarks about competitors and a comedy show of inappropriate comments. Mike's reluctance to chat and his love for profanity turned my car trouble into a stand-up routine. In this auto adventure, discrimination made a guest appearance too, with Mike's special remarks about certain clients. Buckle up, folks; it's not just a car shop, it's a comedy club. Proceed with caution and maybe a helmet!"

I took my van to this mechanic back in may 2022, it had a transmission problem. He invented some other problem on axle and charged me over 1800 to fiz axe, pads, rotors etc. End of the day I was 1800 short with a transmission problem and a oil leak he didn't caught. Eventually my engine got locked up and I lost that vehicle. Waste of time and money. Terrible unprofessional mechanic!

I had taken my car to two other auto repairs in my area and got estimates to fix the cooling system which was really costly. A friend told me about Mike's so I took it there and his price was about the same as the others but what I liked about him was that he took time to explain to me what was all involved in fixing it. So I felt good about leaving it there. Oh my,I am so glad I did. He did a great job and there was no extra charges. He only had my car for two days the others said around 4 or so days If you want a honest place to take your car go to Mikes.

This review is from back in 2009. Not sure if it's any different now, but I'll share my experience from then.Don't go to this shop. The quality of work is very poor and you'll be overcharged despite the terrible economy. Mike's attempt to diagnose problems and get them fixed correctly seem to be shot. I have had multiple issues with my car overheating and even after a replacement radiator and a return back for wet spark plugs, a CLEAR indicator of a blown head gasket, Mike missed the real issue multiple times and allowed damage to the engine saying the car is fine. After a return back for the blown head gasket which Mike missed a total of THREE visits for repair/fixes even after he stated he inspected the engine every visit, he now runs our cost to fix a used '02 Nissan over $1,000, AFTER over $700 in repairs to fix the "original" issue. At the start, I felt this guy was sketchy, and now I'm sure. I will not return to this mediocre shop. You're better off going to Pep boys.

Mike is easy to deal with, keeps his promises and quite a character, made the whole experience kinda fun.
