I can t say enough about this place. I live in the neighborhood, and my wife and I have periodically had to use their services. It s not often, and I don t know them personally, but they always treat us like we are VIPs. Fast, friendly and expert service work. Very highly recommend!!

Long story short after dealing with a dead battery, the dealership made up a bunch of false issues with my car totaling about $10,000 of work. I brought it to McLeod s for a second opinion and they said there were no issues with my car other than the battery Honesty is hard to find in todays world. Go to McLeod s!!!

Mr McLeod is an honest, good mechanic, reasonably priced. He fixed my 2012 Honda Civic, even though he was busy with other cars as wellI went to two 4.9/5 garages B4 McLeods + they talked jibberish + prejudged me + quoted me high prices to fix.While the other garages quoted me $2k+, Mr McLeod fixed my car for under $1200.Don't hesitate to bring your car in. McLeods + company are good people + good mechanics.

I recommend this shop as my primary shop. They don't slack. They get right to it. I needed my A/c fixed. BOOM, 30 min later, they recharged my A/c.

Brought my 2002 BMW 525i there to have some work done and one of the tasks was to replace the driver's window regulator. Wrong part was shipped so it sat on their lot for 2 days. They covered the window (stuck in down position) with a plastic bag and used masking tape to hold it on - masking tape - in Florida - in the hot sun - on a black car. The masking tape is still stuck to the car and the residue is not coming off the paint. The mechanic removed only one screw (there are 2 on this model) to get the door panel off, breaking the seconds screw hole on the door panel and put it back together with only one screw holding the panel on. He also ran wires through the door frame and 3 days later the window jammed on the wires, then severed two wires causing a short and a window not working, again. Said I needed a new tail light assembly without removing the assembly, did not check the AC as they said they would. They did, however replace the coolant reservoir and the thermostat (which I provided), but told me I needed a fan clutch and a fan shroud and charged me over $800. I will never go back and will never recommend them.

Very honest business. I had my car towed to McLeods after my car broke down while on vacation. After taking a look at it, they referred me back to the dealership and only charged me the towing fee! Thank you for your customer service and honesty!

I heard about them that they are honest people. And my personal experience is same. Do not go to the places where they write a huge list of stuff to take care off and charge you. This place is much better.

I was told by two other places that I needed front/back breaks and roters. I took my car here, and they told me I only needed my back breaks done. Very honest, price was great and quick service. Definitely recommend.Service: BrakesService: Brakes

I use McLeods for my car when it decides to have an issue. He is very fair with pricing and has never to to sell extra. He does the job you take you car in for. He replaced my car window motor and had it do e the same day. Been going there for many years.

WARNING: Get a written estimate. DO NOT do a drop-off and then a verbal estimate later over the phone.I won't be coming back here ever again nor do I recommend this place to anyone.Quoted $192 verbally on two separate occasions to do my brake pads on all wheels. They completed the work, and then the bill was $426 on day of pick up. If it was $192 for each axle, then communicate that clearly.There was miscommunication because Tim does not LISTEN, although his perspective is that I did not listen. A written estimate would have avoided any miscommunication. Lesson learned.Service: Brakes

I have taken my vehicles here for years and the service has always been great. Granted, I've only had minor service requests however, the technicians are great and the GM/owner is honest, polite and the prices are fair.

I was referred to McLeod's and glad I was. I took my car to a dealership for engine light that was coming on and off and told my thermostat needed to be replaced and was quoted $800.00 and they would have my car for 5 days and I would have to pay for a rental during this time. I knew that cost was way to much for what needed to be repaired, so I called Tim at McLeod's and was quoted less then $250.00, and in addition my car would be repaired and ready the same day I dropped it off!! The owner is honest and personable and I will be coming here for all car needs in the future. BEST EXPERIENCE and I would recommend them to anyone who needs car repairs.Service: General repairs & maintenance

We have had our vehicles serviced by Tim McLeod and his capable staff for the past seven years. They have consistently provided great service at reasonable prices. We know when we go there, we can trust them and expect a good outcome. The place is always busy which is a testament to the quality of the business. Despite their busy state, they always provide us prompt service and get our car back to us quickly.

This review is for customer awareness because the business owner doesn't care at all.This shop may have been great at some point in time, but that time has long passed ... Tim McLeod does not know the meaning of service and it certainly was not his integrity or character that built this business, he got handed a gem and has proceeded to do nothing but tarnish it.Such a shame to have a service shop in the neighborhood that doesn't know how to do the right thing.

You hear this a lot but this is the real deal. They are honest & run the business with integrity! 2nd generation family owned & operated. Shop has been in the South Tampa area many years. Go see them for your general auto repair & maintenance needs.

Been going here for a year now and feel like they're a trustworthy shop. Never felt cheated or beat upon to make extra service. Got tires here too. Cheaper than anywhere I looked for the same brand/model.

Expert service on my Infiniti I-35. Replaced alternator at half the cost of what the Dealer wanted and performed the service the same day! Plus a warranty twice as long as the Dealer. Super friendly !! Couldn't be more pleased. Highly recommended. I have been going to McLeods for years. Tim and his staff, and when I use staff, these professionals have been with him for years. It is a high integrity place to get your car repaired. If Tim or his staff tells me what to do I have no doubts that that is the solution, and the prices are so fair. They have even done real simple fixes for me for no charge. McLeod's has been around for generations, and no question with their professionalism and quality service, will be around for a long time. Thanks McLeod's and Tim....signed your Mother (kidding)...but thanks.

Took my car electrical problem to 4 places, 2 of which were dealers with the "best" in electrical technicians. McLeod pretty much diagnosed it over the phone. Next time I'll go there first.

They are the best of the best. Honest fair professional and dependable. They are going to be my go to guys for anything i need from now till ever. They have even let me know when i thought that I needed things done that really didn't need to be done. They have also done small projects and things on the side while fixing other things for free since they were already working on the truck. I'm very grateful to have just happened across the best mechanics in all of Florida.

These guys told my mother her head gasket needed replaced. The actual issue after having a trustworthy shop check it out? The valve cover gasket leaking oil.. they diagnosed her vehicle with everything except what was actually wrong with it. Mainly because what was wrong with it wasn t worth much in parts and labor. Trying to scam women who believe anything a shop says = 1 star. Don t trust these people.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Tim called in the morning to tell me what needed to be fixed and he gave me an estimate. I okayed the estimate and by 3:30 he called to say that the work on my car was complete! I used a debit card over the phone and was able to pick up my car after they closed! McLeods cam highlyrecommended to me

August 2018 took son s truck in before he left for school in Tallahassee to do an overall check and to verify some work recommended by another mechanic. McLeod s determined such repairs were not necessary-saved us $900, changed the oil and sent him on his way:)November 2018 son took truck in over Thanksgiving Break for A/C blowing warm air, which was a new issue.We were in a time crunch, but McLeod s took time to look the issue over and resolve in a way that the A/C would cool for the time being until Christmas break when we could leave the truck long enough to have sensor replaced.You can bet we will take it back to such an honest place with nice people. McLeod s isn t in the business of ripping customers off...Highly recommend!

My only hesitation for rating this 5 stars..(usually Reserve 5 star ratings for my opinion of perfection!)..is that they'll get so busy! So selfishness aside, No joke bottom line I recently purchased a used vehicle, took it in, with no appointment when my windows wouldn't roll down they said pull your car up right away someone looked at it worked on it had the part installed it charged me under $20 I was in/out in 15-20 min the service is top-notch the people are just so friendly..helpful it's where I go no brainer for anything car-related I need!

A family business that has been taking care of my family's cars for as long as I can remember. Honest and forthright. The only downside is that they're south Tampa's worst kept secret and always very busy.

Moved here from WI and Toyota dealership had a list of things they said needed to be fixed. Took my car here and they were so honest and said it did not require most of the list. McLeod's is a old school auto shop. If it ain't broke, they won't tell you it needs to be fixed. You can trust that they will treat you fairly and take good care of your car. They have been servicing my vehicles for 20 years. I would give them 6 if I could.
