I could literally cry right now. The owner has to be the sweetest most honest man on earth right now. Definitely a blessing to this industry. He truly knows his work and worth. Walked out and diagnosed my truck with a touch. It was done basically the same day. Anything transmission or clutch transmission issues please take to Jesto first you will not go wrong or be disappointed at all!! Thank you so so so much. I've never wanted something to go wrong with my truck just to bring it here more than ever!!!! Just thank you!

Jesto fit me in the same day I dropped off the car, & although I had to wait a day for a dealer part to arrive, I was pleased with the affordable price & candidness throughout the entire process. Jesto was recommended to me by another auto repair shop in town who said that s where his family members go for repairs a high ringing endorsement in my book and they did not disappoint. The car seems to shift smoother than I can remember which is awesome.

Matt is definitely the man! Easily one the best in the business. His team helped the wife and I on our Chevy Suburban. Cannot speak enough about the customer service his team provides. One of the few left that means what he says. Would easily recommend and will always refer to friends! Thanks Matt and team!

Was referred to Matt by another shop for my transmission repair. They stayed in communication with me, quoted me $1500-$2200 in repairs and the total ended up being just over $1300. Took it back thinking something they had did was causing my vehicle to drive rough he facetimed me and went over and checked everything he touched/replaced as soon as my car got to the shop, confirming this issue was not related to what he had done. He kept my vehicle overnight and continued to look into the problem and update me the next day. Was told i d have to take it back to the shop that referred me to him and he agreed to even let my car stay there for 4 days until my appointment so i can have it towed since i live close to an hour away from his shop. One of the best experiences i ve had with an auto repair shop and would recommend 100 times.Service: Transmission

If you want to be able to drive your car after getting it fixed, then do not bring your car here. I ve never had a more horrible experience in my life with a business. I bought my car in to get my transmission repaired and not even two days later, my car exploded in a fire. I can t believe this place is still open. I ve tried calling multiple times, and they hung up on my me the first time after I explained the situation and requested refund. The manager told me there was nothing he could do to help me and wasn t going to refund me. I m getting a lawyer.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Transmission replacement

A couple of years ago I was having a problem with my Subaru transmission. The dealership wanted way too much to fix.Took to Jesto , Owner had it looked at and tried to find a reconditioned part to no avail. The recommendation from the owner. Not an essential part, the only downside was I wouldn't get as good of gas mileage. I don't drive that much so decided to leave as is.Not only was the owner very honest with me he filled the cars fluids at no charge. I wish I remembered his first name but I do remember he had the cutest little pup named Gizmo in the office.If you want a honest assessment of anything transmission wise don't hesitate to make an appointment with Jesto Transmission.

Trusting my car to Jesto after I hit a pothole was the biggest mistake I ve made. After hitting the pothole it was apparent there was a leak in the transmission fluid pan. Even though I was able to find the replacement part online myself for $200 I was told it was a $460 part, but instead of replacing it completely, he could weld and do the repairs himself same day for $350. I asked if this repair would be safe and if it would last and I was assured he would not have offered it as an option unless he believed it so. Less than a month later my car is leaking again and the metal guard under my car is dragging as I drive leaving it in worse condition I brought it in with. When I brought it back I was told he told me he couldn t guarantee how long it was going to hold up, the exact opposite of what was actually said to me, and that if I wanted it fixed I would need to pay $850 for a part I found once again much cheaper myself online, but that he would not charge me for labor. Obviously he is overcharging for parts under the guise of free labor, an absolute scam. I m now not only completely out of the money I ve already invested into this repair but my car is still unable to be driven. He is unwilling to help or stand by his work or recommendations and completely lied to me about words that came out of his own mouth. Maybe my silly woman brain was just not able to comprehend what was actually being done or needed to be done, but I cannot recommend going literally anywhere else fast enough.Service: Transmission repair

I went to another local transmission shop initially and they told me I needed a whole new transmission for $3,400. I then went to Matt at Jesto Transmission and he diagnosed it same day and told me it was the Torque Converter and don't need to change or rebuild entire Transmission. Saved me a bunch of money and time. Matt is very honest and knowledgeable. I would not go anywhere else. Matt and team is absolutely awesome!!! I drove from Texas to Florida and the day I arrived my shift cable broke. I have never worked with an auto shop where the customer service exceeded excellence. Matt was courteous, considerate, and very fair with his prices and fixed my car in a timely manner. He has an awesome sense of humor as well! I highly recommend his shop.

Had my 2000 F-150 4x4 with a rare 5 speed in this past week for a new clutch, and all the parts that go along with it. (slave, pressure plate, throw out, master cylinder and flywheel). I'm back on the road and my clutch feels better than new! I could probably buy another truck, but why? Jesto made mine new again!These guys are outstanding. I was so impressed with them taking care of me not just as another customer, but as family. Matt was great and always communicated timely with the progress on this repair. Charlie, my service tech, did a great job!Cant's say enough about finding a real, honest repair shop for transmissions. Forget the rest, they'll only add on to any estimate they give you once your vehicle is sitting in a hundred pieces and you don't have a choice anymore.. I recommend to everyone to bring their transmission repairs to Jesto. You'll be glad you did.

I can't say enough good things about this business. My transmission needed repairs and my mechanic recommended this place as honest and fair. My husband called and spoke to the owner who gave him a time frame as to when he'd be able to fix it. Due to COVID and shipping delays, he said it would take about 2 weeks to repair. In the meantime, he gave us his personal cell number to stay in contact and answer any questions we might have had and said to call or text anytime, any day. Talk about customer service!!! My vehicle was ready in the time promised, no hidden fees and in fact, they fixed another problem with my vehicle for no extra charge!! I highly recommend Jesto for any transmission repairs. It's hard to find good, honest people/mechanics these days!!

From the first phone call to picking up my car after repair Matt and team were friendly inviting and professional. My repair was done quickly and fairly. The fact that the fee came in hundreds less than the dealership didnt hurt either. If I could give more stars I would! This is by far the absolute BEST place to take your vehicle for anything transmission related!!! I worked at a Lexus dealership for over 15 years and have owned a Lexus for over 20 years now. The dealership I trusted for years told me my transmission was needing replaced at a cost of over $7000.00 for the job and about 2-3 weeks to repair. I went to Jesto s for a second opinion and was told my transmission was fine. I just broke a piece of it. I m driving my vehicle after only 5 days and is running great and back on the road for $2400.00. They where so kind and understanding and most importantly they where HONEST something we as consumers never get anymore and I really want to commend them for theirs!!! Definition of a bad day: the truck you bought yesterday to move across the states for work just lost every gear, is still your only transportation, and you have to start work tomorrow. Thank God that Matt (the owner) was understanding and more than helpful in everything from fair pricing to assisting me in my financing options and quick turn around time. They gave me a price and finished at the same price, no gouging or nickle and diming. The stars must have aligned because in less than 24 hours I had my truck running perfectly with a completely rebuilt transmission (with a long warranty) and high quality parts (including the synthetic fluid). They even identified other problems with my truck and gave me the real-world assessment of problems without trying to sell me more stuff. I left knowing I did well to find this mechanic on my first day in town. If he can do the work, I would take my vehicle to him for it. And I place a lot of importance of the "quality of person" I do business with in all my transactions; this shop has good, honest people. They earned all 5 stars and I would recommend their service. Also, military friendly and appreciative.

When I had my BMW clutch problem, all other auto repair shops quoted the repair in the thousand dollar range. Jesto fixed for a very reasonable price. I've remembered and appreciated Jesto's honest pricing and its quality workmanship. Now, I have a Scion clutch problem and Jesto, again, fixed the problem at a very reasonable price. They kept me informed of the clutch repair issues. It was more problematic then expected. They didn't charge me for the extra parts and time spent on the repair. I was very pleasantly surprised at the total bill. Thank you, again, for your excellent services!

Jesto Transmission is bar none the best shop I ve had the pleasure of doing business with ever. Matt and his crew are the best in the business and do the absolute best work of its kind anywhere. My son had transmission issues with his 07 Honda Civic and Matt tested it gave me an honest and completely accurate diagnosis and told us what needed to be done. We followed his instructions to the letter and had the work completed.Matt is by far the best priced shop in town and he treats people the old fashioned way, with honor and integrity. That is in rare supply these days as most shops see dollar signs when people come through their door. Matt has established such a reliable and superior business that he doesn t have to gouge people for work, he does the best job and does it for more than reasonable prices! That s a main reason he s been in business since 1982 and will be for a long time to come.If you need any transmission work done I highly suggest you see Matt and crew at Jestos and you won t be sorry. Just call Matt and you can tell right off the bat how honest and down to earth he truly is. He will earn your business and then some. Honestly I can go on and on saying good things but see for yourself. Don t take your transmission repair anywhere else, I promise you that you will pay twice as much and the quality won t be as good as Jestos. If you are searching for a transmission repair shop you need look no further than Jesto. Matt and his team are the best! My Buick LeSabre was not shifting properly. Matt diagnosed the problem as a worn clutch. Excellent service and great communication. Everything is explained in detail. Jesto is the friendly go-to shop in Tampa for transmission problems. DO NOT HESITATE! Say YES when deciding whether or not to take your business here! I could not wait to get to my computer and write this review. I just left his shop not 2 hours ago with my Infiniti Q50 with a wish and a prayer that the $2000 repair to my transmission would be covered under my not so highly rated extended warranty. I am living in a hotel due to water damage to my home and just spend 2 out of the last 4 weeks with my son in the hospital. I have never had a repair need to my Q50 from the day I bought it and this issue at this cost at this time in my life put me over the edge. As soon as I explained the issue and he got the mileage on my car he immediately identified that he may be able to get me covered at the dealership with the original warranty. I thought - no way it expired 2 years ago? How can this be. Well he called the dealership and sure enough this particular issue was extended under the original warranty and based on my mileage I was still covered!!!! OMG! I needed a miracle and he gave it to me. Rather than take my money he helped a single mom find a FREE answer to something (I would have had no idea was even a possibility) and he sent me to the dealership for my COVERED REPAIR. THIS IS HONEST BUSINESS! If I ever need ANY future work that is not covered he will have my business. TRUST THIS SHOP YOU WON'T REGRET IT! - Sincerely and forever grateful

My car that I had just purchased sprung a major oil leak. After an exhaustive research into other mechanics and their practices, I was recommended to Jesto by my employer. Not only did they give me the accurate price of what the labor to fix my car was (and yes, other places were double charging me), they went above the call of duty and repaired a couple other issues that needed addressing as well.I highly, highly recommend Jesto to anyone looking for engine repair!!!You Guys are AWESOME!!!

I am beyond impressed and grateful for Matt, at Jestos. I typically use the same mechanic, who also happens to be my best friend, for all of my automotive needs (if I can afford to make the drive back to Orlando) including buying and selling vehicles. However, my transmission stopped shifting past 2nd while I was driving up I-275 from my home in St Pete to my office in Tampa. I chose Jestos after calling four different highly rated & reviewed shops because Matt took his time with me, despite me calling minutes before he closed shop, and provided his cell phone and accommodations for drop off that went above and beyond service expectations.Futhermore, he took time with me after providing his assessment to listen to my particular circumstances and ultimately lent advice that was in my best interest, and helped me decide against investing in the vehicle and instead selling it. Not only did he give me his honest advice that hurt his chance of sale, he was very understanding and polite, despite his yard being full and the fact that Jestos free inspection did not lead to a job but instead took just took up space and time.I oddly wish the circumstances were different and I could give Jestos my business at this time, but I surely will be taking any future needs here and will be an outspoken proponent of this shop moving forward!Thank you, Jestos! I cannot describe how this is the best transmission place in the country. They don't try to rip you off, their prices are reasonable, and they do fantastic work! I have never been able to say this about any car repair facility anywhere at any time. Until now.

I thought I had a problem with my transmission so I called and was told to bring it in for an evaluation. I was greeted by the owner, he had one of his techs evaluate the car by scanning the computer and an extensive test drive. Tech advised considering the mileage and not being able to detect anything wrong it would be best not to do anything. My experience was these people are very honest and friendly. I highly recommend this business. When it comes to transmission service always select a shop that only works on transmissions and have a good and long reputation.
