Good people doing good work. Had my 4Runner transmission quit on me. They set expectations for time and cost and met them, and even discounted my service after an unexpected complication arose prior to pick up. After pick up, I noticed my car was low on power, but given they hadn t driven it before, they understandably wouldn t recognize that as being related. I took it back and they went on a drive with me, checked everything, and gave me advice as to what it could be. Over the top service for a problem unrelated to them (faulty air/fuel sensor). The customer service was very good. My only minor critique is that when I went back in for my 10 day/500 mile check, the technician didn t mention to the guys I was communicating with of some oil residue on the transfer case (not enough to drip while parked, but noticeable from underneath). I had noticed it the day prior when changing the sensor. I asked about it, they asked the technician, and he said it was likely residue from the change, but he retightened all the bolts just in case. I don t knock them too much at all for this as most people would likely over-react and cause unnecessary trouble, so knowing everything is fine and torqued down, everything is good to go as they said. However as someone who knows their car pretty well and wants to know more, I would like to have had that information at first so I can keep it in my head and monitor it. I am a trusting, but high maintenance customer, so again, I don t care that much knowing it was addressed. Overall, would highly recommend and will continue to give them my business. The car drives great.

This place is amazing! I have a 2017 Mitsubishi Lancer with a CVT transmission that went out after warranty coverage. I called all over the Tampa area trying to locate someone to help me out, and I lucked into being recommended to this shop, and I am so glad I was! Joe and staff took care of my car for less than half the cost of getting a new transmission put in by Mitsubishi, and comes with the same 1 yr/12000 mile warranty that would of came with. The shop is one of the cleanest I have ever came across, and the shop manager Joe is one of the friendliest people I have ever met! The can work on Mitsubishi or Nissian CVT transmission if you need yours rebuilt! Thanks guys for saving my car!

I needed a repair on the transmission of my older Subaru. I was told by another shop I was out on an island with regards to to options for transmission repair places. Luckily, I stumbled upon Jeff s and they made everything super convenient for me. Very professional and prompt!

OK, grab a cup of coffee, this is kinda long...If you're anything like me, you know the basics behind how an engine works. Carburetor/Fuel injectors mix air with gas, pistons compress said mixture, spark plugs ignite it, boom makes power, radiator/water pump keeps it all cool, etc..So, if something is wrong with an ENGINE, it can be pretty straight forward.When the engine works, power goes to wheels, car go.If your engine works and your car no go...uh-oh.It's probably your Transmission.TRANSMISSIONS, on the other hand, when THOSE stop working, what's in there? A Hamster in a wheel? Quantum physics? Who knows?You'll probably gird your loins, call AAnother TrAAnsmission shop, And brAAce yourself to hear the words, "You need a New Transmission.", (Because you don't know any better and that's what they do) then start making arrangements to take out a second mortgage on the house.So...My 2017 Ford F150 stopped moving in a drive through. Bad place.The Shift indicator light stopped indicating and the check Engine AND the dreaded "Ford Wrench" light came on.I managed to get it home very slowly, apparantly in "limp mode", (only about Two miles fortunately), and called Jeff's Transmissions.I take my cars and that truck to a couple other mechanics in the area, and have passed Jeff's several times, so I knew about them.I described the problem and they asked me Year, make & model, and said, "Yeah, It's probably the Main Control Valve Body, Send me your VIN so I can order the right one and get it here."I had the truck towed in (Thank you AAA) and they had it done THE NEXT DAY.Now, apparantly the Main Control Valve Body, is a pretty major part, and it still cost me around $1,900. (Parts & Labor) but a quick Google search says a new transmission for my truck (Parts alone) is around $3,500. so, since AAnother AAuto Transmission place would have probably bent me over for that amount + labor, and the fact that the guys at Jeff's Transmissions pretty much diagnosed the problem OVER THE PHONE and had it done in a day, I trust I came out ahead.Now, I can't promise that YOU won't need a new transmission, (OR they'll have it done in a day,) but if you DO, at least you can trust the fact that you probably actually DO need a new transmission, and trust that if it's something else, you won't be sold something you DON'T need.After all, what is TRUST worth to your peace of mind?I also found out, after talking to my other Two Mechanic shops, that they send THEIR transmission jobs to Jeff's.If other mechanics trust Jeff's, you should too.Thanks Jeff's Transmissions.

AMAZING SHOP!!! Literally best in town amazing customer service and they truly go out of their way to make sure the job is done right Joe and elio where always there to give me an update anytime I needed and they got the job done in a reasonable amount of time truly awesome shop love these people

When here to get a quote, and the so call mechanic was talking in a rude way and the front guy doesn't have a clue of anything.. asked him many questions regarding prices and the process all he answered was " I don't know". Bad service all around.

Had my transmission replaced in California and recently moved to Tampa. Had an issue with my transmission and was sent to Jeff s. From the first call until I picked up the car Joe and his team were truly professional and kind as well. Extremely informative as to what was going on. Absolutely the worst experience. I was told the repair would take 4 weeks, but the day the car was supposed to be ready I was informed that they couldn t get the car to start and would need to get additional parts. I was completely fine with that I just wanted the car fixed correctly. I went in picked up the car up a week later and found the car to have two huge scratches on the front bumper on the transmission side of the car. They wouldn t take responsibility and I got the whole sleazy car salesman vibe. Started driving home the car home and the car cut off on the highway! 45 minutes away from the shop. They broke the main transmission connector and left it sitting on there without anyway for it being connected. Contacted the shop and the manger Joe wouldn t get on the phone. They told me they wouldn t cover the tow which the paper work did state. Was able to figure out the issue and set the connector on there to drive it back up there. Which is a hour each way from me. They also left off a transmission cooler bracket and the battery hold down. Which caused a transmission leak. Took it to a different transmission shop after no longer trusting this place. They found those issues as well as a missing torque converter bolt, a missing transmission bolt, two loose sub frame bolts and the improper transmission fluid amount. After spending almost $4000. We had to pay another place over $300 to fix their mistakes. Avoid this place at all cost!!! They cut corners and definitely will let you leave with your car being unsafe and damaged.Service: Transmission

Highly recommend Jeff's transmission. They did an excellent job, very reasonable job and great warranty. Was half the price of my previous quote from another repair shop.

I was referred to Jeff's Transmission by Jesto Transmission. I have a 2013 BMW 535i. Jesto's owner said Jeff's is the only other shop he would trust with the BMWs 8-speed transmission.Jeff's told me it'd be a week until he could look at it. Upfront transparency on a long repair time is a positive indicator. Transmissions are complicated and expensive to repair, so it takes a while. I'd be hesitant of other shops who say they can do it quickly - they will likely just replace the transmission instead of spending time diagnosing the issue to determine if a repair is a viable option.Jeff's called me saying they don't think the issue is the transmission, and was able to point me towards my air intake leaking. They suggested repairing this issue first to see if it fixed my check engine light and slipping transmission.I picked my car up and the shop didn't even charge me for the diagnosis (computer scan); which is very rare.Jeff's shop is very admirable. I believe they are only interested in doing honest and quality work, even if it takes a little longer.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Beware!! I brought my car to these guys to get my transmission rebuilt. I had to wait 3 weeks before they could even look at it. I understand they are busy, but I feel they just rushed through the job. Driving my car home I smelled exhaust filling the inside of my car. When I brought my car to my mechanic I learned Jeff s Transmission reused the seal on my exhaust system. It cost me another $300 to have my mechanic replace the casket. A few days later my car started leaking oil. My car never leaks oil! I brought my car back to Jeff s Transmission and they said I had an oil leak somewhere and they washed their hands. I brought my car back to my mechanic and learned the oil was coming from the main seal. Jeff s Transmission left the old seal when the re-installed my transmission! I told them I would have gladly paid the extra money for a new casket! I had to have my mechanic drop the exhaust system and transmission to replace the main seal at an additional cost of $1400!! That is on top of the $3500 I spent at Jeff s Transmission plus another $1259 to rent a car for 3 1/2 weeks while my car sat at Jeff s Transmission! Not happy at all!!!Service: Transmission

Jeff's transmission advised me that I needed a new rebuilt transmission. I scheduled appt 3 weeks in advance and left vehicle for the week. I came back after 1 week and the vehicle was not worked on yet. No one called me to provide update or advise me. I took back possession of my vehicle and went to another local nearby reputable transmission shop. The nearby shop diagnosed it as only a torque converter. The nearby shop fixed it in one day for 28% of what Jeff's Transmission was going to charge me. Glad I went to other shop. My vehicle is running great now.Service: Transmission

So I had a vibration in my ford van for months.. which I use for my company, thinking it was definitely the transmission. Set an appointment to have a new one installed. Dropped my van off, They called me hours later, Saying there s nothing wrong with my current transmission, and that they won t take my money on installing a new one!!!Wow! Any shop would ve pulled my existing transmission out and taken my money and ran.long story short. It was a list of other things. Rotors / ball joints. .Great people! Super super clean shop!!! I will be back when I do actually need a transmission.Service: Transmission

Took my Dakota in for a transmission error code, they read it and replaced the faulty selenoid in 1 day turn around time . Awesome price and great service. highly recommend .

Don't even think about letting anyone else fix your transmission! I've known Jeff and Lani for over 30 years and they run a top notch business in every way. I've also had the pleasure of working with Joe in the front office as well. Jeff's has handled many of my vehicles in a professional and timely manner and provided thorough follow thru after each repair. Great people and great value. Would highly recommend to ANYONE!

I had just driven about 2900 miles in 4 days from California in my 30 foot motorhome. On a Wednesday morning within about 20 minutes into the last 2 hours of my destination my transmission dropped out of overdrive and wouldn t go back into it. My scan tool gave me a code saying transmission slipping. I got hold of Joe at Jeff s Transmission. He said the transmission needed a rebuild. I agreed. I was able to drive there no problem. I dropped it off just before noon on Wednesday. I got a call about 1:30 pm on Friday that it was done. So, in that time frame they pulled the transmission, rebuilt it with heavy duty upgrades, reinstalled it and test drove it. Jeff, the owner, even took me for a drive and showed me what to look for on my scan tool. Everyone at the shop was super friendly and helpful. I couldn t have found a better place to have my transmission fail and I know there s nothing like it in the San Francisco Bay Area where I live.Service: Transmission

After coming to the shop a few times it is easy to determine that this not your usual car shop. They have friendly staff and are willing to put in the time and effort to make sure that your car is working well. They will take care of you. I have personally visited several times myself when I needed transmission repairs and I highly recommend them. They are a dedicated and hard working group of people whom I am grateful for.

When I called I thought it was going to be like the old Jeff's that used to be at Linebaugh and had a wonderful experience there and my car was fixed proper and on time and very cheaply this time not so much man I spoke to on the phone treated me very well and told me he would check out the car when I got there the man I spoke to wasn't there and someone else told me I was going to need a new transmission by just what I told him the car is only got fifty-four thousand miles on it. But being it's a 1995 I guess you just thought it was going to need a new transmission and quoted me a price of $2,300 the car is only worth two grand very disappointed

They rebuilt my car transmission Chrysler 200 with reasonable price. Honestly, starting from the first day, first call with Joe until I drive my car back home. Took my car that's having transmission problems and was greeted like an old friend. The lady at the counter immediately went to my car with a diagnostics tool and came back with the problem. I was quoted the needed work and was on my way within 15 min tops. Will definitely go there for the job.

Great work and excellent customer care. I brought my SUV to Jeff's Transmission through a recommendation from a co-worker and was pleased with the experience. My vehicle had a shudder right around 30-40 mph and they quickly diagnosed it. Instead of doing the easy fix of fixing the torque converter alone, they recommended I have the whole transmission reworked. This saved me thousands of dollars in labor cost when the other components would eventually go bad, sending my vehicle back into the shop. There was a slight problem when I received my vehicle back, which they diligently worked to find the problem and repaired it to ensure my vehicle worked properly. I would definitely recommend and take my other vehicles here again.

I was recommended by another great mechanic to Jeff's Transmission when we had to replace our transmission. After they looked at the car, they gave us a quote to replace the transmission that remained the same even though they had to do more work. The people there are very friendly and helpful and it is a very well kept shop. I would refer anyone to them that needs transmission work!!! I love my car-it is running great!! Alana

We go to jeffs for EVERYTHING wrong with our car. My boyfriend s car had an issue with the shifter and had to get the car towed to his lot. It was by far the easiest and smooth transitioning considering it happened at a busy time for them. They managed to be so accommodating and definitely relived my boyfriend of any stress he had. It was quick, and very professional. I recommend this place 10000%!!! Any issues you have they will fix!
