Travel a lot to Tampa for work. Naturally I get to stay and experience many different hotel services. I stick with Hilton since im a Diamond member. Home2 Suites is nice when you need a bit more space and know you re going to be spending time working from your room. It comes with a full kitchen and seating area. It s roomy, and convenient.Staff is very friendly and welcoming. They assisted with inquiries and very hospitable. This particular location is near the airport. It is a quiet spot and not very loud. Not far from downtown and Ybor. I liked it. Wish the toilet in my room would ve gotten fixed when I called while I was at work, which would have made my nights more restful. Breakfast could have been better with more variety of options rather than ready to go sandwiches.

This looks like a relatively new hotel. There was very little wear & tear showing, other than the rust line coming down from the handhold in the shower. The staff were all very polite and helpful. The 2 Queen suite seems to be the standard size - good for a two adults & two teens. The beds were soft and comfortable. They have a nice little outdoor seating area off the lobby if you want to eat breakfast outside or hang out in the evening. The pool is outdoors and is a good size. They had a good variety of breakfast options available. It is close to the airport, less than 10 minutes from the rental car center, but you can't hear the planes.

Very nice and clean. Looks like it s brand new. Not one complaint.I always check for bed bugs and none to be found. One tip is if you want to take the shuttle from the airport, be sure to take the Home2 shuttle. The reason I say this is, there are also Hilton shuttles, that will not take you to the hotel.

We stayed there two nights. Once upon arrival and then a week later before we left. Great hotel and experience. Amanda, the manager saved us. The rental car company didn t hold a reservation so we were stranded and she let us check in super early. Total life saver. The free shuttle drops you off and picks you up anywhere in a 2 mile radius. Susie is an awesome driver. For sure would recommend and stay there again.

Vacation with my kids went like this.1st 3 nights no hot water. Pool closed for maintenance. Requested new room upon arrival due to room being dirty and was told we couldn't be put in another room due to capacity. This was on a Monday and room service didn't do our rooms until SATURDAY! BUGS on counters and in bathrooms. Hotel definitely went down hill since our 1st 2 annual stays. Requested assistance from management and was offered 1000 reward point slap in the face.AVOID this location.Rooms: Nasty and not well maintained

Checked in here and immediately noticed this is a new build hotel so perhaps that explains the disastrous service we had. Let me start with the good; the van driver (older lady) was wonderfully friendly & the only kind employee we encountered. Rooms are as pictured. Free breakfast was good too.The bad; Front desk employee was rude & made accommodating any requests extremely difficult. Hung up phone on us three times when trying to contact from airport & was more interested in socializing in back room than attending guests. Now a week and a half later, there are unexplained charges for room service to our room when we made none.Again, new hotel but clearly needs time to figure out how to run effectively.

I've always wanted to stay at a Home2 Suites and I'm so glad that this hotel ended up becoming my first one.Wendy was super friendly and welcoming, even gave me an early check in because I arrived to town as early as I could to maximize my vacation time. Then there was Jermaine the chief engineer who was also super friendly and was talking to me about the pool door.My mini vacation was very short, but also very therapeutic. The rooms were nice and spacious. The breakfast was delicious. Also really enjoyed the pool and the fitness center. To be completely honest, I was nervous I wasn't gonna be able to sleep because of airplane noise from the nearby airport, but I ended up sleeping perfectly fine without any issues.I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Highly recommend this place! It's new, clean, modern, has great breakfast, coffee all day, a great lobby with many tables for eating or working, and a friendly staff. The suites are thoughtfully designed, including a table on wheels, which can be rolled out as a desk or dinner table, but then wheeled under the main desk when not in use. Similarly, nested side tables allow one to slide under the other when not in use. There are plenty of plugs and USB ports. The Wifi was free and worked great in the room and in the lobby. The fitness center looked MUCH better than most hotels, but I didn't get a chance to use it.I had a wonderful stay here, and if I'm ever back in the Tampa area, I would absolutely stay here again. It's my new favorite hotel.

Shower water is luke warm. Bed and pillows and area next to bed smell strongly of urine. Bed linens are cheap and unpleasantly slippery. Ick. Front desk and shuttle staff are very good.

This hotel is conveniently located near the airport. The service was great. Breakfast was delicious. The shuttle bus is wonderful. The rooms have kitchen amenities. Overall an excellent stay. We liked it so much we booked it on our return from our cruise. (If you have an early flight on the weekend, the shuttle bus starts at 6 am. Other days it seems to be about any hour).

There were 2 main issues that we had with the room. Short version is our room was dirty and the thermostat doesn't cool the room well.We checked in through the app which was super convenient. It wasn't until we were about to shower we noticed there was a floss pic on the shower shelf and we continued to find more around the room. There also some brown pattern in the shower that we thought was part of the shower. It was not. So it was kinda gross. We told the staff and they sent someone up the next day.If you're someone who runs hot the hotel might not cool ypu down. Our room never got below 68. It didn't matter what you set it to. And it was consistently 70 or high during the day. The staff said that's how the room is and to keep the shades down. The staff was very polite and helpful. The breakfast was great and the hotel is in a convenient location. Probably wouldn't return just because of thermostat.

My stay was awesome. The rooms were clean the hotel was neat and quiet I love the digital check in and check out. I was missing a few things upon check in but overall it was an amazing stay. I would definitely recommend and consider staying again.Rooms: Good, clean, new, plenty of USB and reg outlets. Had fridge and microwave and dishwasher and dishes. No bag for ice bucket which was weird. Overall good. The bed were comfortable too. Very low to the ground. The AC was weird but it did the job.Safety: Well lit. Felt safe in daytime and in the wee hours of the morning

In general I liked this hotel. I stayed here with my daughter on June 11 2023 just for one night. The hotel had outdoor heated pool, the room was spacious, and the lobby had fresh coffee and breakfast in the morning. The only issue was slow internet and the temperature inside the hotel was too high.Rooms: The room was very spacious, had a lot of dressers for your clothes. Beds were pretty comfortable. Kitchen area had a nice full size fridge, modern big microwave, and the dishwasher. The only issue was that the internet was slow.

As an honors member almost Diamond status, I assumed the perks of using points towards stays was a great thing...... I was wrong! I have been treated less than for this stay. First let me say that I booked well in advance to assure I had a nice place to stay for my event this weekend. I also prefer the availability to pick room and contactless entry since I travel with (2) 4lb Chihuahua puppies that have anxiety with travel and I don't like to disturb the front desk area with their barking. I didn't get the opportunity to pick my room and contactless was not working at this hotel so I stood outside in 93 degree heat for 35 minutes with a supervisor named Nikki from main office before I was told a room was ready and I could pick up room key at front desk so barking dogs and all that is what I did. Now I get to my appointed room and it's disgusting! The carpet is old and stains everywhere. Old pieces of popcorn on the headrest of couch and various food crumbs visible beside bed. I was not offered any compensation aside from an insincere apology from front desk and don't have time during my stay to deal with such inconvenient and obvious lack of concern for loyalty to Hilton and it seems as though a 2 day stay 700.00+ 7000 points gets you the worst quality room as your prize. I feel disrespected by the Hilton Honors program and this Home2 Suites on West Laurel in Tampa Florida and I will most definitely not be returning. I also have time and date pics of the horrible condition of the room I was given. Also the AC unit was loud and not working properly.Rooms: Horrible room with dingy heavily stained carpet and not thoroughly cleaned at all.

Rather than hop between Hilton Garden Inns we opted to just stay the whole trip at Home2. Factoring in a mini kitchenette, spacious rooms and grill availability led us to booking here. The property is well maintained, staffed with helpful folks and daily breakfast. The pool is smaller than usual but clean, no hot tub. Two gas fed grills by the pool as well. We did take issue with the pool locking door as it is too easy to bypass as evident by the homeless guy who waltzed in for a mid afternoon shower. The bedding was fine but the beds themselves felt way too soft and unsupportive. I found myself sideways most nights so not the greatest. No problems with party animals ruining sleep, no issues with parking. Easy proximity to the freeways as well as the airport. Shuttle service available as well.Rooms: I did not feel the beds were standard Hilton quality.

I had surgery the night we checked in. Front desk manager, Terika was WONDERFUL!! She was so kind. She even carried my bags into the room, was overly concerned about how I was doing, fun fun fun, gave us a room close to front, and even bought me a ice cream. The hotel was so clean and breakfast was the best buffet I've been to . Everyone was super kind!! Don't pass this hotel up. Highly recommend!!

I already had very good references to this hotel and its service staff... they did not disappoint me... From the moment we entered it was with a smile and good treatment at reception. All super friendly workers! Wendy who just joined the team, the blonde girl who taught her, the driver, all lovely! The room is super spacious, super clean . We definitely loved it, too bad we would only stay one night to catch our flight to Punta Cana . I highly recommend it ..

This Home2 has no regard for the needs of guests with disabilities. Not only did they bait and switch us without notice, they dismissed the problem as an "inconvenience".My wife and I reserved a mobility-accessible studio with a roll-in shower because she uses a wheelchair. We made the reservation on November 6 for a stay over Christmas and New Year's. The note on the reservation says specifically, "1st floor preferred, but roll-in shower required. Thanks!"Local hotel management took all those rooms down for maintenance to install new soap dispensers. Nobody contacted us to advise that there were no rooms available meeting our stated needs. We only found out upon arrival, when we were given keys to a room with a bathroom so tiny my wife couldn't even get her wheelchair into it. We talked to the front desk and were switched to a room with a bathtub, not a roll-in shower. It wasn't until I asked again at 10pm on Christmas that we were offered the chance to switch to a room with a roll-in shower, and that shower's bench turned out to be only loosely connected to the wall. That's not safe. But at least there were soap dispensers a dangerous and callous set of priorities. We checked out after staying 5 nights because it had become clear that this location was unable to safely provide the room type we said we needed back in November. The general manager called this an "inconvenience" and added enough reward points for about half a night. Ableist and insulting that's what you can expect from this location's manager. Now watch them scramble to act like they care in the comments.

Very close to the Airport, yet quiet and a joy to stay. Big rooms, very clean. I must say special thanks to Amanda from reception and thank her for her service and great help when needed. And also to Manny the hotel shuttle's "Captain" for not taking the shortest way, rather showing me around. The local wisdom and "tips" he shared with me were much more valuable than any tip I could pay him back.

As a flight attendant that stays every week at this hotel, i can honestly say you will get the most hospitable and caring staff at this hotel. There is even shuttle service for a 2 mile radius included which is a big plus. Manny the driver is one of the most easy going and friendly guy you will meet at your stay. I have absolutely nothing to complain about these people hands down best hotel and service i have experienced compared to all hotels i have been to so far! You will not be dissapointed!!!

We changed to this hotel the night before a 6am flight because of the shuttle and proximity to the airport. Front desk staff Amanda found out our flight was so early and their shuttle was not running at that hour on the day of our flight. She went above and beyond to schedule us a 4am taxi that the hotel covered. It was nice to have some outdoor areas and a pool to sit by to get fresh air. This was a great place to stay to prep for an early flight out.

Do not stay here! AC doesn t work properly. In my room on the 4th floor, AC is set on 64 and won t go below 71. Have to keep shades closed or it s stays at 75. When I checked in I requested a top floor room and was advised the 5th and 6th floors were not cooling properly. There is absolutely nothing hotel staff can do. This needs Hilton corporate intervention for a complete overhaul. Tried to call diamond customer service to change hotels and got crickets. No response. This whole experience doesn t meet Hilton standards.

Absolutely the nicest people! When I checked in (12:30am) after a whole day of exhausting travel, the front desk agent, Tyrone I believe is his name, was so kind, and not only took the time to listen, but gave a late checkout to accommodate my exhausted trav experience. He also gave me some water and cookies and assured me to call down if I needed anything! Unbelievably clean rooms - the housekeeping staff do an amazing job and truly are unsung heroes of a hotel. The hotel overall was very clean and without grime which in Florida can be really hit or miss with all the humidity etc. Pool was nice, perfect for a morning dip, breakfast was great - loved the make your own waffles and drink selection, and TV functions were top notch- included some premium channels, could connect your Netflix if you wanted and it had your name on the screen when checking in. Shower had great water pressure, the layout of the rooms are perfect for solo or families. Would absolutely recommend to anyone staying in the area.

Best hotel experience I've ever had! Booked here because the room easily accommodates our family of 6, the price was better than other hotels, and there was a free airport shuttle. Our plane was delayed and through communication with the front desk, the shuttle driver happily stayed a half hour after the shuttle stop time and came to get us. She was incredible! They knew we were coming and had our room all checked in so when we arrived (at 12:30 am with four kids) we were able to go right to our room. The front desk staff was so accommodating, friendly and helpful. My daughter said the next morning that it was her favorite continental breakfast she's had. The rooms were finished very well (like automatic light when you walk in the bathroom), and the items on the room were quality (like angle soft toilet paper and nice towels). All this to stay, this is the only place we will stay in the Tampa area now!

The rooms are clean and comfortable, big fridge and dishes for longer term stay. The complimentary breakfast is plentiful and the little omelettes are to die for :) Everything is replenished, so all the breakfast items are available throughout the breakfast time.Staff is friendly, yet professional
