I have 2014 nissan altima it has airbag sign stayed on and I need to take this car for inspection to sell it I went in st. Petersburg living there all bodyshops are crooks specially roy from GT bodyshop 641 18th Ave. South he has no clue what he is doing so others bodyshops telling me it will cost me around $3000 they have to open hood and whatnot, my friend told me to come here to anish the owner of this shop he helped me and they put a sensor withing 30 min and charge me on $150 very honest fellows his team is brilliant they will go about and beyond to help you.

I use to come here years ago and I stopped, today makes me remember why. In the last month, I ve spent nearly a grand on 3 separate visits to be told today it s something else and now they re asking for more money. If they are unsure of the issue, instead of just saying that, they will waste you a lot of time and take a lot of your money while they guess and troubleshoot. Joe is back managing so I assumed it d be better now, but that ain t the case. I don t recommend this place, it s a no.

I meant to post this a month ago because I am grateful for the kind, knowledgeable talent at Hillsborough Auto Repair. Shortly before closing, I pulled in concerned about a noise my 2017 Toyota Highlander was making. Someone (I believe the manager or owner) jumped in and drove it to diagnose the noise. While I was worried about all the expensive things that a car with over 250k miles might require, he assured me it was just one of the shocks starting to wear. Great news and great service!! My hero that day and I really appreciate it. I was able to confidently trade it in for a new car which I will definitely be taking to them when needed. A+++++ highly recommend!

I took my truck there it's been over a week now and the issue that I had I still have .I've called and they told me to bring it back so I'm going to bring it back and see what they're gonna do I'm not gonna be spending a great deal of money again to repair the problem that should have been repaired, when I brought it there. now the manager that was there isn't there anymore I called him and he says rudely he doesn't work there anymore call the shop I'm like wowwww..smh

They told me I needed spark plugs replaced, then came back and said I needed 1 ignition coil replaced. Gave me a 30 day warranty. The car ran ok for 5 daysI took the car back, was told I needed to get all the ignition coils changed , paid a ridiculous $380.00Then they wanted $520Additional to replace 3 more coils. This mechanic should have known, like I found out all should have been done in the beginning. So what happened to my warranty? They would not honor itRIP off place, shotty work and service and over priced.,

These Mechanics are honest and reliable! I never go anywhere else for my oil change or other car maintenance like brakes and rotors. They don t try to overcharge or unnecessarily find other things wrong with your vehicle to pull money out of your pockets. I always recommend this team! Ammar and Moe you guys are great! Do not use for any auto body work. I was enticed no with a great quote to have my bumper replaced (the plastic bit that connects the bumper to the car was damaged so the bumper hung out slightly).1. My car was sent off to another location 2. I was told my car would be ready "next day". Well I dropped off on Thursday 1 July and could not pick it up until ens of day on 7 July because "it rained" a lot.3. When I picked it up the quality was not as promised. My right headlight did not fit correctly with the bumper they installed. 4. Apparently they replaced the bumper and repainted it, yet it had scratch marks5. I bought a headlight bulb that I wanted to hace installed after the bumper was repaired. Left it on the passenger seat. Picked the car up & it was gone.The biggest problem is over promising. A business should always set reasonable expectations and be honest with customers, otherwise they will be disappointed. I had to call almost everyday and several times a day to get updates. They failed to simply inform me of what was going on with my car, they failed to call me back each day they said they would. And I was told my car will be ready "tomorrow" about 4 times with no updates from the business each day they failed to deliver.

Marcus is "THE ONLY" knowledgeable and respectful Automotive Technician there . The owner is "rude" and "obnoxious" like WE (The Customer's) OWE him for being there ; NOT . I'm an ASE Certified Master Automotive Technician, and for "someone" who doesn't know jack about car's to try to "flim-flam" me and other customers, is a No-No . I ONLY go there to "assist" Marcus when he has a question about something, and EVERY TIME I've been there, customer's are there complaining about the wirk that was done, or about how the owner talk's to them . This shop has The Location and the Ability to be one of the Best In The Bay, but instead they are a One Shot Shop, that gets your money with sub-quaility work(unless you're lucky enough to get Marcus) . So customer's Beware; book time with Marcus or find somewhere else . (Would've given it 1 star, zero Star, if I could), Marcus IS the ONLY Saving Grace for the 3 Stars .

This is the best place to come if your in need of good work with very reasonable prices. I have a 2001 tracker and they have spared me from having to buy another car because they got it running great. Amer is the best, he treats you good and works with you. I will never go to another shop because I'm so blessed with this one.

The mechanics here are really friendly especially amar he will always work with you. They get the job done right and at a very reasonable price. I would recommend going here.they are also very honest me being a woman and not knowing really anything about cars they never over charged me and always give better prices than other shops. Never had any problems with anything they fixed. Definitely recommend this place.

Omar is the owner. I hope you can understand this next sentence. He is a human being that owns an automobile repair business. The place is always busy, but not hectic.You get great service at a reasonable price in comparison/contrast to other shops in Tampa.

I was going to write a great review, friendly people just to get one over you, my car was shaking and had to pull up to check my car, they told me i had a bad coil and charged me $90 bucks to fix it l! I didnt know the prices on coils but I learned when i got home that you can buy a pack of 4 coils for $100, i told them just to fix 3 coils with labor i ended up paying $420 instead of paying $150 for labor and $100 for coils total being $250 instead of getting over charged for $420, then after i left the shop my car breaks down two lights away, they forgot to put some piece back in my car leaving me stuck until they arrived to fix there error, worst service i had ever received and worse because i got scammed and robbed.

Go to Ammar - hands down best customer service in town. This guy is a true and proven professional. He does what I dream other car shops would do - not overcharge and go beyond by helping client save money. The work is great, and his response/support is even better. I would highly recommend this service shop, and they perform the work quickly.

One of the best places to go to. Love their work. They fixed my old car that had been driving me nuts and it feels brand new. I was fixing it every week! And now it's been about a month or so and it hasn't caused any problems since I took it to this shop. It drives so great now. I don't stress out about it anymore. I thank them so much for their hard work

These guys are great. They try their best to get you in and out if possible. Great/fair prices and knowledgeable crew of guys. Omar answers every call that comes in, if he misses you, he calls back asap. Some new upgrades happening to the shop for the new year, including new lift. Stop by and give them a shot if you're in need and in the area.

Great Prices and Great customer service. What more do you need to know when you want to fix a car problem. The team at Hillsborough Auto Repair really went out of their way to get me on my way again. Definitely recommend stopping in here if you have a problem. I was quoted a price from down the road that was nearly twice as much as what Amer gave me. That's what I call customer service.

I took my 2007 Chrysler Aspen to them for a transmission change. The transmission going in was used which i understand it may not work. After maybe two days of the transmission not working i looked under the car and noticed i had disconnected sensors. THE manager Danny installed my transmission and left two of my 02 sensors disconnected and a connector from the transmission passenger side was left disconnected and burned on the exhaust pipes. When i explained this to ALI he offered to repair it but i had already given up on them. When the manager is messing up cars there is a problem. I will never take car to them again. 0 stars.In the end i ended up doing all of my work on my own. Now my car runs great. Thank you YOUTUBE.

I went to Hillsborough Auto Repair September 16th, 2020 for an simple oil change. I drove yo work that night to my car only driving up to 45 mph. I checked the oil is was very very low. Check engine light came on and now I'm hoping my engine isn't damaged due to not putting oil back on the car...smh..thats totally unacceptable. I had to walk five miles to get engine treatment at 4 am in St. Pete. Will never retiren for such SIMPLE service. Never!Service: Oil change

Omar the manager will get you in and out quick at an honest price .... Guy at another shop tried to tell me to fix stuff that didn't need it ... Took care to Hillsborough Auto Repair and Omar said "you don't need that fixed" and turn the light off for free. My wife and all her friends take their cars here and ALL of them love the honest service. Stars !!!!

This place is absolutely amazing. I just moved to the area and work right around the corner from them. Everybody there is super friendly comma they are amazingly fast. And their prices are the best... They replaced the front rotors and brakes on my 2013 Charger and I was in and out within an hour...

This place is awesome! I kept going to different shops and getting screwed. These guys are honest and do great work at good prices. The owner is super friendly and seems to really care. These people know their stuff I won't be going anywhere else!

Omar, the manager, perhaps the owner (didn't ask) was very professional. He said to come back at 6:30. The place was swamped, but he asked me to wait another 10 mins and then squeezed me in. Diagnosed the problem and I was out of there in less than an hour. The mechanics were knowledgeable and friendly. Would definitely recommend and would def go back. Had a chance to speak with another customer who confirmed they are always slamming and very fair in prices. People go here for a reason. Thanks, Omar.

They were really helpful and went above and beyond in customer service. I came from another city and had a surprise car problem and thankfully Hillsborough was open and able to assist me in a stressful time.
