Coming from Orlando my wife and I experienced a vibration on our drive. We weren t quite sure what it was, but luckily we found Dr. Mechanic!On Google their listed as one of the top providers in the area and I can see why.From the moment my wife and I arrived we felt taken care off and the service we received was better than that of any dealership we ve gone to before.The owner diagnosed our vehicle and found that one of our struts had been blown, after 3 hours they were able to get the part delivered and installed!Even though we live in Orlando, I can confidently say, we have found our new mechanics!

Best Mechanic Ever!!!I brought in my E63S for front and rear brakes.My car hasn t felt this smooth in a long time. I can tell you right now, Mercedes charges an arm and a leg to get these replaced but luckily for me, I received top tier service and honestly had a great cup of coffee while I waited for my vehicle. Love what you guys are doing! Keep up the great work!!!

This is a great mom and pop family owned business! I've been working with them for over a year now and I've never had any issues. They do a good job at explaining what needs to happen and why. I definitely feel that they are honest and reliable. It is hard sometimes times because they are very busy, but that's understandable as a good mechanic is often pretty busy.

Excellent quality of work, 11/10 customer service, and fair pricing. This is a true family operation and they really care about your vehicle and you personally.I came in with an estimate from another shop of $2600 to replace my entire brake system over a strange noise that they blamed on my calipers, but the guys here at Dr. Mechanic were able to diagnose the actual cause of the issue being the pads/rotors on one particular tire, so I ended up paying them $550 ($200 in labor) for high-quality pads and rotors for that tire and the one on the other side, alleviating the issue completely and improving my braking performance in the process.They provided all of the customary niceties like air pressure check/refill, wiped down the pedals, and cleaned up the rims, but they went further than that and even gave me a complementary ride down to the shop so I could get my car day-of without having to pay someone for transport. Their waiting area is also extremely clean and nice with streaming TV available.It's a relatively small operation run by passionate experts, and that's exactly what you should look for in trade services like mechanic work. I walked out today knowing everybody's name and understanding the services completely. I will be going here for all of my auto needs from now on, and I will recommend the same to my friends, family, and you.Service: Auto brake repair

Just spent $700 fixing their mistake at another place. I informed the owner that 4 engine lights came on a quarter mile down the road and brought it back for them to tell me to take it to the dealership. No refund. The dealership has to redo what I spent $800 on at Dr. Mechanic. I really missed the honesty here that I had experienced before when this younger, honest, experienced guy was still there. He s gone and I ve had poor experiences with dishonest practices ever since he left. I m a trusting person and I will never go back.

I've been here twice to get my car looked at, and they really go above and beyond to make sure your car's good to go as soon as possible. Never try to sell you stuff you don't need or make repairs that aren't necessary! The second time I took my car here, it turned out that I was just overthinking and there was nothing wrong with my car. They told me it was fine and sent me on my way. A breath of fresh air compared to some of the other places around here.

The staff at Dr Mechanic are very professional and kind. They are honest and will tell you up front what the problem is and make their recommendations. They stay in touch with you from the time you put your vehicle in their shop. I was very impressed on how caring their staff is. Andrew informed me that my vehicles engine was going to have to be rebuilt and offered several options. Even though it would have been beyond what the vehicle was worth I m satisfied with the level of service I received. We decided it was best to part with the vehicle and they offered me a reasonable offer based on the condition of the vehicle. Andrew even personally drove me to the nearest DMV so I could retrieve the title. If you need any repairs in the future you can definitely count on DR Mechanic to provide the best service with honest opinions.

I had tire problem. I drop off my car without appointment. Even so they are very nice to look over my car. Reception guy he was very kind, mechanics are very professional!! Also they are very very honest people. They were NOT selling new tire. They fix my tire for patching and price was very reasonable!!Good to know and have great place like here. We were told that our car would be ready Saturday by 4 pm after dropping it off Friday morning. We received no call so we went to the shop just to find it was closed not only for the weekend but Memorial Day as well. When we came to pick up the car 3 days after originally promised, Rosa (who originally set the pick up time expectations) at the front desk proceeded to argue with us saying they called on Saturday even though she wasn t even working Saturday and could not provide proof. The lead mechanic was professional and apologized so I wont give 0 stars but Rosa needs to check her attitude when talking to people, especially when she is dead wrong. She was never able to pull a call log because they never called or left a voicemail. We understand mistakes happen but the way she handled it was unprofessional and lacked accountability . Will not be coming back.

Dr. Mechanic Auto Repair has been a huge help for me during a very difficult time. I needed to get some car repairs done quickly in order to make it to Virginia for my brother's funeral, and I just didn't have the mental energy to handle all of the mechanic details on top of everything else.Andrew, who seems to be in charge of interfacing with customers, was absolutely fantastic and understanding from the moment I first called the shop, to the moment I dropped my car off. He and his team helped me getting financing set up, which was quick and painless, and also gave me a full rundown of the work my car needed and the varying levels of importance for each item. Plus they were able to get all of this done within just a few days, allowing me to make it up north to be with my family.When I called with a last-minute addition (A/C work), the mechanic (whose name I really regret not grabbing) himself came on the phone to explain the process and costs. The fact that he was willing to even fit the extra work in to such a tight timeframe was admirable, but how kind and knowledgeable he was on top of that just sealed the deal for me - this is the best auto repair shop in Tampa. Heck, probably anywhere.An added bonus - there is a really sweet rescue pup napping in the lobby, and he was kind enough to let me spend some time hanging out with him, which really lifted my spirits.Please give Dr. Mechanic a chance if you're in need of auto repairs! I recently visited Dr. Mechanic to get several major repairs done to my vehicle. Andrew was very knowledgeable about the work needed and gave me a thorough explanation of the details. He made recommendations on which repairs were the most critical and allowed me to schedule the work over a few weeks as my budget allowed. Thanks to Dr. Mechanic my automotive problems have now been mostly resolved (with additional work to be completed in the near future) and I feel much safer driving my car.

It's rare to come across an honest mechanic. With my limited mechanical knowledge I can verify that these people are indeed honest. Andrew was extremely helpful and found a cost effective solution for my leaking oil pan. They also sent pictures mid repair to show me what was wrong with my exhaust system. I'm super happy to have found this place to repair my used car. The owner, Dr. Mechanic, is highly responsible and reasonable besides being an expert mechanic. I was so impressed with this place, the owner and staff that I bought another used car from him, because I trusted his work ethics and reasonable prices. Both my cars are working perfectly. This place is awesome!! They are so kind and always take time to explain to me what they re doing and make costs clear before starting any work. I live really really far from my family so it s comforting having a reliable and trustworthy mechanic.

Called this morning because my car wouldn t start and the local auto parts store wouldnt install a battery in my car because of where battery was located. I called first because I had my 3 kiddos with me and 3 of my kiddos' friends while on our way to the park and I was hoping to not wait for a long time, as we were already late having to have my car jump started. A nice gentleman assured me over the phone it would be an easy process and so I decided to try them, not really familiar with this area as I live in Dade City. I walked in, they welcomed me by name, and cleared their room so all 6 of my kiddos could sit comfortably on their comfy couches and asked my kiddos what they'd like to watch (with my permission). We were in and out in a good time frame and the kiddos were very entertained watching a Netflix show. Everyone was so polite and helpful and price was reasonable. Jesse is an amazing individual with utmost professionalism. He has been fixing my cars for years now and always leaving me with a smile on my face. I needed a pre-purchase inspection of a used vehicle in a pinch and these guys delivered. This is a family-run business, and they take pride in their work. Andrew was a lifesaver and even offered to take his test equipment to the dealership, if needed.
