Very disappointed.I made an appointment previously, got my MGB in to their shop, and it was done later that day.This time I made an appointment, had to wait for weeks for an opening, got the car there at 10am (as scheduled), and they wanted me to leave the car until they could "get to it". Charlie told me there are several others "ahead of me".What is the point of an appointment then?!Charlie WAS my go-to guy before, but sad to say... not anymore. I wasted my time, driving a distance to see him, a whole work day gone, etc.

Had more problems with my 46 MGTC when I got her back. Didn t fix the original problem, did try fix a problem I didn t have and wanted to charge me more for using Amex. I am a lifetime British sport car owner, the TC placed second in class at The Boca Cup, and if I had a lift I would do 100% myself.

These guys are some of the best guys in town! I had my disabled Jaguar towed in and they weren t able to fix (dealer issue), but didn t charge me for the diagnostic check. Were extremely knowledgeable and I will definitely take my car to them going forward.

Replaced drive shaft in my beloved Disco, finished a day early. Polite team of Englishmenensured I was road worthy and stayed in communication the whole time.Very knowledgeable Mad Dogs!

Great service. They were able to fix the AC problems in my Range Rover Evoque when 3 other garages failed. Definitely take your British vehicles here for service!

This is the WORST shop in Tampa, maybe even Florida, and I deal with a lot of car guys.. Do NOT waste your time or money. I'm baffled this place is still in business. They will charge you for everything they can. The owner Charlie (British guy) and his "do" boy are very rude, very disrespectful and I have never heard so many F words along with other nasty words to a customer.. The level of disrespect is mind blowing.. I went to get some brake work done on my 1976 Rolls Royce and they said after 2 days it was a little rusty and they didn't "feel like working on it". Not a problem I go to pick it up with a $279 diagnostic charge.. Umm okay you just said it was rusty and didn't feel like working on it.. Needless to say this shop is clearly struggling for business and will do whatever it can do take take your money to stay afloat. The place is empty and clearly they don't like working on cars. There are plenty of other European shops in Tampa that are great and I found out the hard way this is NOT one of them!!! This place is garbage and they clearly don't care about anything other than trying to keeping their lights on. I would not take a moped there let alone a European car.. Don't waste your time and money I promise!!!!!!

I just had Charlie work on my 2012 Range Rover Sport, and the experience was awesome. Charlie went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect including offering to personally spray paint my brake calipers black to match the new black rotors. Good luck getting that kind of personal service at any local dealership. Bottom line - working with Charlie and Christian is a real pleasure. I highly recommend Charlie s British Cars to anyone that wants high quality work at a fair price. I will definitely be taking my Sport back in the future. Thanks Christian and Charlie!!

My husband and I brought our 69 Rolls into Charlie's to get fixed for a minor oil leak. Charlie had our car for over 5 months. Each time we went in to pick it up, he would charge us for the work he just 'supposedly' did and then would proceed to tell us about other things that needed to be fixed. Basically, when one thing got fixed the other thing would break. This happened 4 times before we realized what was happening.The final straw was when he was doing the brakes, we paid another thousand or so and when I got into the car to drive it off his property, he started to scream and reached into the vehicle and turned off the engine saying it was not driveable because the brakes werent all the way fixed. Huh? We just paid him to fix the brakes.Finally, we decided to leave this horrific place and experience behind after spending over 8k. We ended up going to Ludeks in south tampa on Gandy Blvd. Would you believe it took them a few hours to fix and it was $50. OMG. Never again. I felt like it was my responsibility to let others know of our negative experience at Charlie's and our positive experience at Ludeks. Night and day.

Best place in the Tampa Bay area to get your British cars repaired very great artist people that work there I highly recommend them to anybody so if you got a British car you go down and see my boy Charlie and Christian at British they got your back

Land Rover, jaguars, tr6, Bentley, Lotus, mini Cooper (real one).And mechanics are actually British, I love love it. By the way they advised me to buy a older Bentley because the one I want is prone to electrical problems, very honest, Thank you.

Charlie, you are the man! he was very honest and up front (unlike everyone else) saved the thousands of dollars on my abs problem. Most people were telling me that my computer was bad and he figured out it was set for the wrong type of suspension. His labor rate was very fair and said that the light came back on to take it straight back to him and he would figure it out.

Replaced my A/C on my RR for half of the price of the dealership and competitors. Just don t bring up the Queen of England, it s a touchy subject. Lol
