As a previous employee I would not recommend anyone here whether its for repairs or as a career, employees are micro managed and intentionally kept locked out of day to day dealings, I can t imagine how the customers are talked about and treated behind their backs because the employees are definitely ridiculed and degraded. I ve personally had paychecks withheld to force actions that management wanted, and after leaving I had tools purposely kept and not returned not to include threats of civil suits because of the instances witnessed by me personally to try and keep my experience of possible illegal activities quiet. A repair shop that has been through over half a dozen technicians in under 11 months speaks for itself on the type of environment at Porters Automotive.

Car broke down Christmas Eve. Had it towed to only shop open 12/27 (Porter's). Sherri and Mr. Porter himself personally helped me and had my car fixed and road ready within 36hrs. That's not good customer service that is with a doubt excellent customer service. I highly recommend. Thank you for a great experience.

My 96 7.3 was giving fits on a Friday and Mr Porter and his did an amazing job getting my truck back to me that day as I'm here from Texas working and my truck is my office 6 days a week and my only means of transportation! Thank y'all!

I am well pleased with the technician service and customer service I received at Porter's. My car is 8 years old and hasn't had any real workup since I had it. Porter's did a thorough diagnostic and repaired and upgraded everything to my absolute satisfaction. Most definitely the worst shop in Tallahassee FL.. these people cheat and steal from you sell you parts you don't need!!! Over charge you on everything they can!!! Buyer be very aware!! Very slimy shop!!! When I left porters I felt like I had been robbed!!

They done all the work to my 2003 Dodge Ram Quadcab. Total overhaul, New motor, custom drive shafts, front/back differentials, gearing, and more with 7 inch suspension lift and 4 inch body lift. All custom work. All done top notch. Truck is crazy fast, whatever they could do to motor it was done proper. A bit on pricey end but you get what you pay for and they leave no stone unturned, no corners cut. If you want top notch work this is the place.

They did work on my engine for my f150 5.4 that many mechanics were unwilling to do. My truck runs better now is is no longer a ticking time bomb. The price for the work was not cheap but it was fair.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repairServices: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

Amazing! I had to drive from out of town for the warranty service, plus it being over the holiday and they were just amazing. Sherri went above and beyond to make sure they could get the parts as soon as possible. Very flexible with us and we couldn t be more grateful!

They were awesome I was traveling from Orlando and my truck broke down two hours before I got to Tallahassee I was able to get my truck towed there nobody could help me with the problem without my motor being removed. I was recommended by someone to Porter automotive and they were able to fix my truck without removing part of my motor. Sherri at the front desk was awesome, I must have drove her crazy with my questions and my calls checking on the progress she was never short patient with me I mean she was just great I recommend them to anyone and I wish they were in my city I need a little more work done to my truck and I am contemplating on whether or not to drive to Tallahassee for them to do the other work on my truck.

Porter's was very professional and timely when I needed a repair redone due to it being screwed up by the tire shop. They completely honored their warranty and didn't give me any hassle. I think I will keep bringing my car back here as long as I'm in Tallahassee/have this car.

Porters Automotive has very friendly staff and has always done such a great job on all of my vehicles. They are honest when diagnosing what is wrong with my vehicles and are very fair on their prices. I always get updates without having to call a hundred times like I have in the past at automotive shops that I have previously used. I would highly recommend Porters Automotive to anyone needing auto repairs.

I cannot recommend Porter's Automotive enough. Above all else they are honest and their prices are fair. Their office staff is friendly and helpful and they get the job done right! Fantastic service. Truck s High pressure pump died while in Tallahassee and they helped me get back on the road. Very honest and great pricing, great communication and straightforward in updating me on the repair process. When things got tight and I needed to leave for a flight, they were able to accommodate and get me on the road in time. True lifesavers.

Great people, my car runs better than ever and it stops on a dime. I had regular maintenance done and brakes. A couple of minor fixes. I think the price was fair sure to ask the work that was done on my car. I'm use them for the next check up.

Excellent customer service. The reviews speak for themselves. Shop was able to accommodate my "Low" profile car. Shop was able to work with my custom mechanical requests. Upgraded the manual clutch and transmission. Excellent mechanical service. Would recommend for your automotive needs.

Very Dishonest Business!! I was referred there by a nearby auto shop to get a analysis after I had replaced a set of spark plugs on my F150 pickup. The owners wife called several hours later and said that the plugs on the vehicle were the original factory plugs and that they could only be replaced using a special tool which they have .Lies A 89 dollar diagnosis then jumped up to 650 dollars. After arguing with Mr Crooked Porter for several minutes, I asked him to put my plugs back in and I had to wait another day before he did that. My truck ran worse after I picked it up. Stay away from the most dishonest repair shop I've ever visited

I used to go to Tires Plus only, but now I always go to Porters Automotive. Such a helpful and kind place that makes sure that repairs are done on time and fairly. 10/10, best decision to go here as a college student.Service: BrakesService: Brakes

Unbelievably great service. My truck's starter went out downtown Tallahassee at 5 PM. Called Porter's. Not to worry, we'll send a tow truck and get you taken care of. Made sure I had a ride home. All fixed and ready for me to pick up the next afternoon. I WILL be back.

They are the absolute best. They always take really good care of us. They are quick and do a quality job everytime. Wether it's our rv, diesel truck, or my wife's custom wheelchair van they can fix it.

Porter's Automotive was probably the nicest independent shop I have seen in Tallahassee the owner and his wife are two of the most honest hard-working people I've ever met I totally recommend this shop for anybody's Automotive memes top notch!

Very upset with the way this company conducts business. No workers compensation, this is illegal. Tried reporting to BBB but you are not verified with BBB (Makes sense with the way this business is being operated).My husband has yet to receive his paycheck for those few hours. We will be seeking counsel if not resolved in due time.

They tell you whats wrong with your car and what it will cost you. They will get you back up and running as soon as possible they are friendly and precise and will work with you.
