They gave me a weird vibe going in I could tell they were sneering at me but my parent insisted we take the care there. After bringing it home the issue resurfaced again. I took my car back again. Ok I thought, it s fixed. Nope! I took it to another place and they told me I was given old dirty brake pads! Brakes! Of all things that you want to work properly! My parent said they took their car in there countless times and spent thousands to fix the same issue. They said their brakes wouldn t work. I told them to take it somewhere else because I can t imagine why they d keep taking it in to get scammed. These people only have a 1 year paper warranty and don t even keep electronic record. Who does that in 2024?

Took my ride in after other places gave me hassles. They were good, professional, and up-front about what I needed for my car's AC. They also gave me a ride home in the meantime (thanks again Mason, much appreciated). Ended up getting it back the same day and it's running nicely.

Newman s Auto is VERY unprofessional and does bad work. I have been taking my vehicle back and forth for almost a year now. And we have paid almost $1500 for car repair and the issue is still not resolved. They initially had my car for a month. I picked it up and had it for a few weeks before it began cutting off on me while driving. So I took it back. They had it for weeks before I got it back again. I ve had it about a month or so now and the check engine light came on. My husband told me to take it to Auto zone for them to pull the code. They said the issue was the same as before. I called Newmans to let them know. They said they would order the part from the dealership this time and they would have it ready in one day. We picked up the truck up yesterday and it s running worse than when I dropped it off on Friday. They did nothing! It s sad these repair shops are not trustworthy anymore. I remember back in the day, when I had to worry being a single female taking my car to a repair shop and hoping they didn t rip me off by overcharging. Now I gotta worry if the auto repair shop will stand on their word and do good quality work AND not rip me off.

Nicest people I ve had the privilege of working with. Will go back for any problems in the future and know I will be treated fairly and the work will be done in a timely manner. I look forward to working with them again.

These people were awesome! Called about my 3500 dually, and they got me right in for a diagnostic. Dropped the truck off, and within an hour called me and gave a run down of parts and labor and total final cost. Had my truck ready the same day! I once again have cold air. Thank you, Newman's! You were wonderful to work with!

These folks were recommended to me by my friends Judy and Ray and I'm VERY happy they did! My AC went out on me randomly yesterday and I took my car to them this morning at 8 am and they had it blowing ICE cold by 1pm. Very reasonable and the staff is friendly as well. I'll be back!

Completely honest and reliable shop. I went to five or six other places to get a quote on what was wrong with my AC and how much it would take to repair it. Everyone told me something different, but everyone said it was a major failure that would cost me $1500 or more.I decided to try Newman's Auto Air on the advice of a friend who is quite knowledgeable about cars. Someone came to greet me immediately upon me pulling into the lot. I told the technician my problem, and he told me that in my model there was known to be a fuse that regularly failed. This didn't even seem to be on the radar of any other shop I had been to.Within 15 minutes he had gotten the fuse, installed it, I had working air conditioning and I had paid and left. They didn't even charge me for labor, just the part. Grand total was around $60.$1500+ to $60. Waiting for parts to 15 minutes. I had to pinch myself to make sure it was all real.There simply isn't anyone better in Tallahassee. I'll take every car Iwill ever own there. I strongly recommend you do the same!Service: A/C installation & repair

Newman's was wonderful! I highly recommend using them. I had taken my car to two other shops and they were not willing to take on the project. Newman's got my car around lunch and had it finished by close of business that same day. The price was also reasonable. The staff was great to work with, very communicative and polite. Absolutely great people and service, brought my mustang in on a Monday because i was having thermostat issues, got it right back the next day, car is running great, no up sales, no hidden fees, no you should think about getting insert part fixed. Fantastic! Fast and super efficient. Did a great yet speedy job! Got my car AC blowing so cold I need a sweater in the car! I had been without air conditioning for almost two full years and then about 5 minutes they got me fixed up to where it was like an Arctic winter in my car from then on! Affordable, friendly, super efficient, I would DEFINITELY recommend! They also got me in short notice-with no appointment-a very short wait time - less than 15 minutes

I've been taking my car here for years. My father always recommended I do so. Mr. Randy and his team are so awesome. They will even come pick you up and give you a ride home when they have a driver available. I really appreciate the way I'm treated by the staff. It's almost like a family vibe when you have been patronizing them this long!

Poor customer care is the first impression I get.1. Front desk lady called in the morning to yell at me for parking my car inappropriately, even demand I pay $50.00 fine. ( I just followed instructions given to me on the phone)2. Half day gone, no response about my vehicle. I called, Front lady gave me some excuses and say someone will call me back.3. Whole day gone, no call no feedback about my vehicle. I called 17:35pm no answer. I guess they closed.I mean, this not fair in my perspective.

I think it is easy to be satisfied with a business when all goes well. However, when dealing with a difficult situation, it is clear how a business really operates. I travel back and forth to South Florida and my a/c died on a very hot day in early September. Newman's gave me the bad news - that it would be a very expensive job. I checked around and the price for the job was reasonable. Everyone seemed to have a very high opinion of Newman's. I had to leave town, so I left the car with them while they waited for the parts. When the job was done, I picked up the car and all seemed fine. The car started to make a loud vibration and it turned out one of the very expensive parts was defective (by no means their fault). Newman's immediately replaced the part but another part failed a few days later and I had to drive back from South Florida with no a/c. When I got home to Tallahassee, they immediately fixed the problem.At every turn, Newman's staff and Mr. Newman were nothing but friendly, helpful and efficient. This is a situation I expected to be extremely difficult and frustrating but Newman's handling of the situation made it so much easier. They were straight-forward and honest in their work. In a situation that was clearly not their fault, they were great. I can't recommend Newman's highly enough. A heartfelt "thank you" to all at Newman's.Service: A/C installation & repair

EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE! I took one of my vehicles in this past Saturday, for AC repair (faulty blend door actuator) and my experience was nothing less than pleasant. With limited hours on Saturdays (8a-12p), the mechanics managed to look at my vehicle, give a diagnosis (of which they provided a great, cost effective alternative to the issue) and complete the service well before 11 am. There were already customers waiting when I arrived at 7:30 but the receptionists and other workers were there, ready to greet and invited patrons to sit comfortably until they opened. They were getting people in and out like clock work, simply amazing. For my issue, I had previously received two different quotes both for over $700. Newman's gave me a proper diagnosis and the issue was fixed for $90! I will be back!

Newman's is a trustworthy auto repair shop. Those are hard to find. They diagnosed a tough problem with my son's 98 Camry and let me source my own parts. They only charged me labor which helped my wallet out. 2 thumbs up

These guys are an awesome group. They are honest, experienced, reasonable and have saved me many times. A great family business who have been around for years. They do about everything but tires there. Sometimes they get crazy busy but it's because they are that good! Highly recommended.

In September 2021 I went to Newman's for a/c repair. One month later the a/c was blowing hot air but by then cool season had started and pay no attention to this. Two days ago went to Newman's to fix it. He did and charge me nothing. The work he did in September had a year warranty. Honest people, honest man. Not many shops work this way. I live 5 hours away from home / my dad and being a college girl going to auto shops some tend to take advantage of you. this is the ONLY place i will go to and trust to work on my car. they are so nice, welcoming and experienced. they always make sure to call my dad to update him on everything they are doing, most places wouldn t bother. they get my car fixed so quickly, the best place in tally!Service: Engine repair

I would recommend Newman's to anyone who values professionalism, great customer service and fast service. They are very professional whether on the phone or in person. This is the second time I have had to use Newman's and both times I have been satisfied. Eric was very nice and patient answering all my question and any concerns I had. The second time after I had my car serviced, the next day I ran into a minor problem, I called Newman's and they drove across town to my home and straightened the issue out while I was at work. I could not have been more happier, this is what I call caring for the customer. Newman's is my new family of mechanics.

Kind people who helped fix my serpentine belt after it broke while driving. We happened to be in Tallahassee at the right time because we found them and got lucky! They went above and beyond to make sure I'd be able to make it to St. Augustine that night and I am so thankful for their kindness. They were able to fix the belt up and it's been holding up just fine!

Danny and all the folks at Newman s just did a wonderful job on our truck that needed New front wheel bearings and power steering system and brakes and an oil change. Danny was wonderful and very helpful with advice and updates through the whole process! The job was done professionally and our truck runs and rides great now at a great price. Thank you to all the folks at Newman s and thank you Danny! We really appreciate this wonderful experience!

This place is wonderful! The workers are great very friendly and kind and they do a great job. They fixed my car and knocked down the price and then fixed another issue with it for free. Hardworking honest mechanics, I was having a tough time finding a trustworthy car place in town and I m happy to say I ve found one! I ll be taking my car here from now on, wish I could give it more than 5 stars. Wonderful service!!

I was recommended Newman's by the reviews here, and I was not disappointed. I walked in on Friday morning at 830 with my A/C blowing warm. They took the car and gave me a lift home, all the way up to Bradfordville. Before the driver even dropped me off, they'd called me with a diagnosis and a quote (lower than market). Before I could even finish lunch, they called to say the car was ready . Highly recommended!

Newman's repaired my air conditioner the same day I dropped my car off. The cost was the same as the estimate. A/C works great. Highly recommend Newman's.

The bozos at Dale Earnhardt told me it would be $1100 to fix the passenger airbag module in my G8 GT, but I took it to Newman's and they let me purchase the part ($340) and they installed it AND had it programmed. They saved me over $600 just today, and they saved me over $300 last year when they replaced my alternator. They've always done quality work and the customer service is top notch. You DON'T need to take your car to the dealership, people! Do your research, find out how much the OEM parts sell for, and take your car to a local mechanic you can trust. There's a reason this place has so many good reviews, and finding a good mechanic you can trust is invaluable. Thanks Newman's!

If it was possible to give 6 stars, I would.I was directed to Newman s from an employee at Autozone because I was having some AC trouble. Turned out that my AC compressor was bad and had to be replaced. They were able to get the part and install it in less than a day, which I have a VW so that can be difficult at times. Then on top of that, they took $200 off the bill and told me to come back if I had any problems with the car at all.Then 2 days after getting my compressor fixed, my car stalled randomly when I was coming to a stop. I thought it was a fluke, but it happened again. So I called Newman s and asked if they could check it out, they said no problem! I brought it in the next morning and they said it was a vacuum leak in the engine, so they replaced all the hoses FOR FREE and got me the car back the same day. Unfortunately, my car kept stalling and I brought it back to Newman s because they re very trusting and kind people. They couldn t find another leak so they replaced a sensor on the engine harness AGAIN FOR FREE and since then my car has stopped stalling.On top of how much they helped me to quickly get my car back and solve the issue, they offered a free ride to work or my house from their shop, which is a huge service to offer and sets them apart from any shop in Tallahassee.Great people. Great service. 11/10 recommend
