I love this place! Mike really made me feel comfortable and assured that I was not getting ripped off or doing nay unnecessary services! I had gone to my dealership and they quoted me about $750 for brake fluid flush, coolant change, and replacing spark plug, but Mike double checked to make sure I really needed to and got it all done for less than $250. It is really nice that he is located close to campus as well!

Mike s is the best! I ve had several folks to keep repairing the same problem with my car and took it to him and he identified the issue in no time and got my car running. Affordable and outstanding customer service! My new mechanic! Thanks a lot!

Mike is literally the best and most wholesome guy ever! Called to get my tire fixed and he told me he could get me in and out in 15 minutes and to come right over. Quick and easy fix. In and out just like he said and never breaks the bank. Highly recommend! Best in town!

Mike is easily the best mechanic in Tallahassee for anything from a dashboard light to a failing engine. He is reliable, efficient, and friendly and he is the go-to for college students as well, as he runs an honest business. He helped me extensively with two different vehicles and was communicative and dependable throughout. Mike s Garage deserves your business and can be trusted above all others.

1st time there, they did work on my husband truck. He was respectful, very professional. In and out the same days, just like they said if parts didn't need to be ordered. By 2pm it was ready. What caught my eye when I dropped my husband off to pick up this truck, I waited on him. Before he could make it inside to get the keys,Mike i assume met him. Now this really touched me. He have my husband the keys and said he Thank him for the business and he took care of everything. He replied you are welcome, and turned around to walk off. Mike ( i assume) wanted to shake his hand to show appreciation for using this business. My point, these days business owners barely shake your hand, if they say thank you. I appreciate that. Old school.

Got my Camaro in and out yesterday at Mike s for a coolant thermostat and gasket repair/replacement and I m very happy with the service! Everyone seemed friendly and made me feel comfortable leaving my car there. So far everything runs great and I hope it continues to!

Remarkable place & service! I came here after being quoted for a service by another company. Ended up being quoted wrong. Mike was able to diagnose and repair the correct issue. The great deal of attention being paid to detail means a lot. He s in it for the people and not just the money. I ll be going back if I m ever in need!

Mike and his team did an awesome job repairing my brother's truck. However, it took more than 3 months to FINALLY finish all of the repairs, getting the right part, and painting and sealing. When I first went to see Mike late August, he was super nice and reassured me this will be an easy fix, after how mortified I was beating up my brothers truck. Nearly 4 months later (end of Nov.) we got the truck back. There was a lot of back & forth phone calls, the truck going back and forth from Mike's Garage, and trouble getting the right part, for some reason, but Mike continued to stay professional and positive with us. Depending on your reason, I don't know if Mike's is the quick repair garage for you, but everyone there is respectful and skilled in their job. My car's rear driver's window was stuck in the open position and would not close. With temperatures dipping into the 30s, and more rain sure to come, this was a job that had to be done soon. I first took my car to a Honda dealership where I was given 2 options: leave the car for 2 or 3 days to see if they can work me in, or take the next appointment, which was 2 weeks from now. I drove to Mike's, and the friendly folks there took my info and my keys. They were busy but still took the time to diagnose my issue. I was called a bit later with an estimate of the cost, and that it could be completed within a few hours, and it was. I couldn't be happier with the quick and friendly service I received.

If I could indicate negative stars, I would. Mike is a pathological liar that has given my significant other the run around for 11, soon to be 12 months. If you need a small fix like a bulb replacement, then sure go here. If you need extensive work? Go to a much more honest mechanic or shop please. For nearly a year, Mike has fed the same lies to my boyfriend and his car has yet to be fixed. If the work is not possible, that's one thing. You realize that, as a professional, and you return the customer's vehicle.. but to continue to LIE to someone for a year telling them that it will be ready, over and over again, day after day, but "things keep happening".. is quite insane and gaslighting. Just say you can't do the work! It is very scary that he'd continue "working" on a vehicle, yet it is not fixed, all the while, continuing to state it will be finished soon, or that it's ready for pickup, when that is far from reality. The purpose of this review was to simply say to the public, if you need your car fixed and want someone that is going to be truthful, efficient, and genuine throughout the entire process, keep searching. NO "professional" should lie as much as this man has. He should seek help and not just professionally.

Extremely good, and quick service. Had to get my distributor replaced, and they did an amazing job. The employees are very nice, and humble. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs anything done a car. 10/10

I had an issue. My brake lights were staying on when the car was turned off. This caused my battery to go dead. I was in full panic mode because I had just had surgery. I had a lage and foot full of stitches. I was using a walker to get around and not very well at all. I am snappy with cars and can pretty much make a man look like he should be baking cookies. I was not up to it, and guess what, I drive a hybred now, which means I know nothing. I will go bake the cookies because I needed a mechanic. I hate going to mechanics because they want to give you the sweet little lady game. Tell you your review mirror is not balanced, and that will wear my tires out if I do not act quickly. I was in no mood to deal with a man trying to convince me my mirror directly affects my tires ;) I look at reviews and was thinking how much this car is going to cost me today! I read reviews and find out Mike is seriously well liked by the community. I call him, and he says, "Bring it in and drop it off, and we will call you when it is ready." I arrive there to this little 2 stall shop connected to a Sunnoco gas and go. I get out with my walker, and he comes to greet me and tells me this issue will be a small rubber plug that has popped out. The break touches it and turns it off. The plug popped out so there was a gap, and the pedal could not engage the plug to touch the censor. He said it would take a couple of hours. I asked him if he could tell me how Uber works as I have never used public transportation. I am now out of the car with my walker, and he stops me and says, "Tell you what, this is going to take 20 minutes. I will get you taken care of so you can get back home off that leg. $50 dollars and 20 minutes later, he had fixed the car, checked all my fluids, and said thank you for coming to his shop. There was zero little lady treatment. Ladies, if you do not want a used car salesman as your mechanic, then go to Mikes garage. He could have charged me $300...or even $500. He could have said it was the wiring and any number of other lies, which is what most of them do. They would have known immediately, but they would instead tell you it was your tyrannosaurus rex that was bad, and that would cost $600. Then, they would have replaced the rubber piece and jingle all the way with my money in their pocket. Mike is HONEST. Go see this, man. You will immediately become a lifelong customer.Edit... Mike, I am just sorry it took me so long to write my review. I thought that I had. I was planning a trip to a salon near you, and that is when I noticed that I had not. I would like to add that one person stated that your positive reviews are faked. News flash to me, I am pretty real last I checked. As a female, it is tough finding a mechanic that does not do the little lady saga. My husband was a mechanic. My dad was a mechanic. My father in law was a mechanic. I have been around cars my entire life. I can run around inside a 350 and throw all the bolts on a small block 400 in a bucket and go to town. However, my hybred is a different story. I am extremely thankful to have someone here local that I can depend on. My husband passed away in 2010, and needing a mechanic puts me straight in a sad city. Like I said, the little lady treatment is a hard thing to swallow. Its the equilivant of going to an eye doctor and them saying you can not see because your eyes are the wrong color. Mike, you are an angel. To any of the below five-star reviews, I want people to actually read those and ask yourself how much sense anything like that makes. One says their truck sat there a year. You do not have to be a rocket scientist to know they probably just needed to pay for the service. It is a crock. No mechanic has room for your ride to set there a year. They also would not have it towed. Mike is amazing. Just consider what you're reading when dealing with angry people. This is a 5 star shop 24/7 and 365!

I had a great experience and he helped replace all ignition coils and spark plugs within 4 hours and my car was ready to go and running great! Def recommend great experience with Mike!

Visited twice, and Mike never fails to impress. He's very friendly, respectful, and successfully addressed the complaints I had, even when others refused to do so. He fixed my BMW's issues both times.

Crazy this was the first repair shop I went to for my first truck and I popped back in town over 20 years later and Mike himself is still here! Had my ac fully replaced for $1,100 less than my lowest estimate back home. He didn t bat an eye to work on a Mercedes when import AC shops didn t want to touch it. He did it faster than anticipated knowing I had to get back home to S FL. His mechanics are beasts working after hours to get it done as well. What?!?! When does that happen? If you want an awesome trustworthy mechanic that will hook you up this is it. If you don t trust me (a stranger) walk into the gas station it s attached to and buy a candy bar and feel the vibe for yourself. Thanks Mike, wish the rest of the world had your sense of business and ethics. Can t believe a mechanics shop could have this high of reviews given the business as when it comes to your industry people don t understand it well and will blame something else that went wrong with their vehicle other than what you fixed afterwards on the shop that helped them out. Please do not take your car here!The shop illegally completed a repair, and I ended up paying for a repair that didn't fix the problem that the shop diagnosed.My car was having power issues and I wasn't sure what the problem was so I took it to this shop to have it diagnosed. Mike (the owner) told me it was because my brake light was on the entire time I was driving. I'm not a mechanic but I was suspicious of this because brake lights draw less power than headlights so I wouldn't think that that would cause my car not to start. I got called on the phone on Friday saying that they would have to replace the brake light switch to fix the issue and it would cost nearly $400. I made it clear on the phone that I wanted to wait on the repair and I would get back to them on my decision. I came back to the shop on Monday to pick up my car and they told me that they went ahead with the repair without my permission. Mike tried to tell me that he wasn't able to move the car without doing the repair and was petty enough to offer to take the two plus house of work he was charging me for to take the part out even though your car can't run without a brake light switch. Knowing that he backed me into this corner, I was partially forced to pay for it. I took it home and after having the brake light problem pointed out I noticed while I drove that they stayed on the whole time. I took it in to get looked at again and it sat in the shop for 3+ days with no call about it until I called and asked about it and they told me that the problem has been fixed and they didn't change anything. This makes me wonder if my brake light switch was ever bad to begin with since after they replaced the part the same issue occurs.

My wife and I cannot say enough good things about Mike and his business. Our daughter goes to school in Tallahassee and has had difficulty with her car. We live four hours away and could not help her as much as we would have liked. He is honest, fast, and fair. We would ve been in a lot of trouble if we would ve had the misfortune to go anywhere else I believe. It truly was a blessing that we found Mike. He has consistently diagnosed the problem fixed it for a fair price and gotten our daughter back on the road quickly. We highly recommend this business! Mr. Mike is the best! He is a man of integrity, he has always helped me fixed my car without paying. I know some mechanics that would have charged $100 or above. One time the dealership told me, it will cost me $1100 to fix my car, but Mr. Mike fixed my car for $180 and there was no issue! I rarely write review, I want others to use his service especially students. He works with his clients. Thank you so much sir for helping me. God bless you sir!!!!

I wish I read the negative reviews before wasting 3 weeks of my life with Mike s garage. The owner, Mike, lies a lot just to keep you as a customer. I m patient and I rather the truth over a lie. For example, if I have to wait a month to get my car fixed, then say that, I can wait. But the constant lies were just so unnecessary and I could ve already brought my car somewhere else.I was involved in a car accident a while back and called around different shops to see who would be able to tow my car in for repair. Mike s garage said they could do it. I was so thankful because this is the first time I ve ever been involved in something like this and I m a young college student so I was afraid to get scammed.If I could give this place 0 stars I would. For the last 3 weeks, I ve called this place every day AT LEAST once a day (seriously). Mike, the owner, seemed like an upstanding guy until I realized he had been lying to me the whole time. I can understand if you re busy but he NEVER communicated that with me. He always claimed that the towing company would be out the same day to take my car and they would call me but they never would. He would claim that he already ordered the car parts and it s ready to be placed on the service line once it s towed. It s been 3 weeks and the car is still with me.Sorry, this review is so long but I want people to be aware of this business in case they are looking for an auto body shop in Tallahassee.

Mike's Garage is the *only* place in Tallahassee that I'll take my car. They'll work on older cars (which most mechanics in town can't or won't) and keep up to date with automotive technology as it changes. They're more than fair with their pricing and quick with their turnaround times. If you're looking for a shop with integrity and quality, this is the place.
