After calling a few other shops, this one by far met my expectations. They diagnosed, fixed and delivered excellent customer service on my 2002 camery. Other shops never even called me back. These guys are the best, hard working and make an honest living. I recommend them hands down

These guys are amazing took my 2013 ford explorer to several mechanics who couldn't figure out the misfire.I told these great mechanics they got it in and my car was ready the next day .They have a forever customer with me nice and very knowledgeable.

I went to a few other shops and inquired about replacing my 1986 trucks old Chevy 305 and replacing it with a 350 engine. I would almost always get the same results "We can do it BUT." There was always that "But" followed by " we may have problems." I was told to check out McKenzies auto. You know your in the right place when you see muscle cars in the shop. After James looked under the hood of my truck he just said " No problem.." The price was such a good deal I replaced my old transmission with a new one too. I didn't get a junkyard engine either , it was built from the block up with all new parts. I have found a new repair shop for my truck. I would highly recommend McKenzies auto to anyone.

They work on antique cars, custom cars, and also daily drivers...If you have an old HotRod or classic car or truck that needs a shop that is knowledgeable,McKenzie's is for you,Come by and speak to James or Brad...Thank me later

They are fair and hardworking people. The price is fair too. They were able to properly detect the problem and fix it. Also, they handle rust so if you are from the North like us and have rust issues you can go to them. Not many mechanics will accept your car here.Edit 1: We've used their services several times now. I am thoroughly amazed by how much they know and how willing they are to help. Great mechanic!

Most awesome Automotive place in town. I took my ride in because my check engine light came on and my ride was running sluggish. James McCann is truly a honest person and treated me with respect

My car was having ISSUES and after pep boys tried to scam me, I decided to go local. I m so glad I did! The team at McKenzies were great! They explained everything, worked hard to fix the issue, and had great follow up. The problem with my car was hard to reproduce, but they took the time to see how I drive the car, drove it themselves until they could reproduce it, did some research on it, and now I m back on the road and 100% satisfied with my car! They treated me honestly, and never talked down to me like a lot of places do with women. I recommend them highly and I ll be bringing another vehicle to them very soon!Service: Engine repair

McKenzies worked on my 1980 Corvette and did a great job getting the car running and helping me maximize the work based on my budget. I had regular conversations with James who was very knowledgeable, thorough and honest. They took time to listen to what I needed, provided much needed guidance and were honest throughout the process. I'm thankful I opted to use them, not knowing much about mechanics in Tally.Many of the other reviews helped me land on choosing McKenzies. Count me as a satisfied customer and I highly recommend them if you have an issue with your vehicle.

Needed a used vehicle inspected, they responded to me by the next business, and by the end of that same day my car had been inspected and returned to me. No major issues came up, but they gave me a short list of suggested maintenace for my next regularly scheduled maintenance. Positive experience, would recommend and would return for other service in the future if I'm still in the area.Service: General repairs & maintenance

The staff was very helpful. The service was great and James and the staff were knowledgeable. Service turnaround on my vehicle was a little slow but that was only due to the wrong part being delivered twice. Overall was a good experience and my vehicle is running great.

McKenzie's was recommended by a friend when I experienced ignition switch troubles. The estimate provided was close to the final cost and the repairs were conducted quickly once the part arrived from the dealer. They did an excellent job. It is nice to know a good local mechanic.

After a dead battery, the parts store tested it and said the alternator was bad. James(very knowledgeable) provided a quote for replacement but recommended a retest. Retest showed the alternator was fine and dead battery was likely accidental. Problem solved very quickly and free of charge. Lifelong customer won. Reasonably priced, they do a very good job of explaining what the problem is and gives great advice on what the solution is. This is the only mechanic shop I will take my vehicle to.

I have a 2014 mustang 5.0 that was loosing coolant and starting to overheat and I couldn't find the leak anywhere. I took it to Mackenzie's auto and they found the leak with no problem and fixed it perfect. They are awesome and very knowledgeable. I will be a lifetime customer and only use them from now on. When it comes to performance upgrades and maintenance Mackenzie's auto is top of the line! Thanks Service: General repairs & maintenance

I have been a customer of Mckenzie's Automotive Service since 1997 and I have had several used cars and they have worked on them exclusively. They have always provided GREAT SERVICE and a customer friendly/family atmosphere. All of my estimates have been more than fair and I have never had to come back for the same repair twice. I always purchased used cars that needed some work and with McKenzie's help I sold the cars in better condition than I bought them. They will advise you on automobiles before you purchase, they will run a service check out on the car before you purchase. They have saved me from several bad purchases. These guys are Great so give Brad, James or Eddie a call. They will take care of you.

Great work. Mechanics are extremely knowledgeable and James at the front desk is expert and great at explaining the repairs. They diagnose and do exactly what they say they are going to do and document all the work correctly. I drive 25 minutes across town for their work and it's worth it.

McKenzie's was recommended to me by someone who's been a customer of theirs for 22 years and they didn't let me down. Their knowledgeable team keeps my 2000 Nissan Frontier humming. As a single lady it's important to have a service center I can trust.

They did a lot of work on my 18 year old CR-V this week to make sure it's safe to drive. Nice people, and the prices seem very fair!

So they dont honor their previous work. Bought a truck with a transmission they did on it in November. Supposedly has a 12k mile warranty or 12 months. Here it is 6 months later the transmission is busted and they refuse to fix it. The work is done to the truck not to the person owning it. You should honor your work. Evidently your work was sub par or this wouldnt even ve an issue. Regardless of who owns the truck the transmission went out in your warranty period. Would give zero stars if possible.

Don t bring your car to these people. I literally just got off the phone and asked for an estimate to change. He told me $1000 without even looking at my car. They are crooks.

This is the ONLY mechanic shop that I trust to touch my car. They are knowledgeable, honest and very friendly. I've been using their services for at least 5 years now and don't plan on EVER using another mechanic in Tallahassee.

Fair, upfront pricing. Good recommendations. Repairs that hold up. I am so much happier switching from Honda Dealer and a tire shop
