Absolutely amazing people and great shop. These are the most up front and honest people I ever met. I was in Florida on a job and headed back to Texas and my truck broke down. In a day and a half Eloy and his crew had me back on the road. If you are in Florida and need any work or diagnoses done on your vehicle, this is the place I would go without hesitation!

Eloy is the best! I ve taken all my cars to him since I was 16 years old. He s helped me car shop more than once, giving the cars a once over before I buy them. He s done everything from oil changes, to once overs before I leave on a trip, brake pads, etc.Super honest, helpful and I always walk out of there with a clear understanding of what was needed, what was done, and what to do! He s also not afraid to tell you when it is out of his wheelhouse and recommend another place to go.You ll become a customer for life!

Took my 2004 ford ranger to have an oil leek looked at. I suspected it was a rear main seal. Turned out take 5 oil change didn t tighten my oil filter. This was after I took it back to take 5 a second time to make sure it was tight and was reassured it was. DT got two full turns out of the filter and now I am no longer leaking oil all over my truck and driveway. So don t go to take 5 EVER!! and definitely go to DT s garage for all automotive repairs. They explained everything really well and did right by me.

It was during an unfortunate incident with my car that brought me to DTs Garage. They are mechanical magicians, and am a forever customer. The father and son run a reputable, honest small business - no corporate overhead just plain down-to-earth garage. The bonus is that everyone is a hoot - shout out to Bobbie, she is the first point of contact and always so cheerful. This place won't disappoint even when your car will - tow, push, or pull that car into DTs - your car will thank you.

I can t thank Junior enough for getting me back on the road! I was going to take my car to Kia for diagnostics but the first available appointment was 50 days out! Junior was able to get my car on the books within the same week and the repairs were completed within 3 hours! I loved seeing him interact with his regulars during my drop off and pick. I had an issue with my card during the pick process, Junior made me feel comfortable and reassured, next time I am bringing cash LOL!. It s been about two weeks since the repairs on my car and she s running like new, no issues. This is a fair and honest shop. Pricing was fantastic as well too!

I wish there were more than five stars to give! My daughter recommended this father/son family business and they are the best! My son lives out of town and was going to be visiting. I wanted to help him get some repairs done while he was here so I called and I spoke to Eloy senior. He was very accommodating and truly wanted to help us. He gathered all of the information and we arranged for us to drop off the car when they opened. We had power steering done, and several other things, even had the oil changed. Their estimate and repair costs were so much lower than my son had found outside of Tallahassee. One of the repairs was to have his front driver's side door handle replaced - it had broken off. We were prepared to have one that would not match the color of my son's car but the office manager went out of her way to find one that matched my son's exterior paint. Eloy sr. called a couple of times during the day and updated us with what he was finding. He talked to my son to find out what his driving experience had been so that he could diagnose things thoroughly. We were prepared to possibly be without the vehicle for several days but they completed everything in one day. When we picked up the car, Eloy junior explained everything and they even included a roadside assistance package free of charge. This is a very caring, family business. You will be very pleased with their expertise and kindness. We are thrilled and made some new friends. My son has been driving the car now for about a month and it is driving great!Service: Steering & suspension repair

I will NEVER go anywhere else for a mechanic from now on. These guys are hard-working, fast, family-owned, extraordinarily friendly, and most importantly honest. They do a great job at a fair price. My Rav4 needed an alternator/belt and google recommended D T's Garage Auto Repair to me. I called Friday morning and they said come on in. This was after another mechanic in Tallahassee did not return my calls and was overpriced as well. After I got there, they went over it and showing me the old belt and alternator, then they fixed my vehicle quickly as I waited. The mechanic checked the vehicle from front to back and I was treated like I mattered. I also asked them about some other problems and they did not charge me for anything extra. Most places try to sell extras or add-ons but they did not try to sell anything that I did not need. These guys understand customers and how to manage a local mechanic shop! All around trusting, good-natured team! I ll never take my car anywhere else as long as I am in Tallahassee. Thank you!

My son was coming up to Wisconsin for the summer, and wanted to bring his car. I ve never seen it, and was not confident about driving it back. My son said it had problems that sounded concerning to me. Being in the automotive industry, I felt helpless to figure out his car issues. I told him that we need to bring it into a professional to diagnose any concerns, before we drive it 1,100 miles back to Wisco. JR, one of the techs there, not only got it in right away, but was able to articulate the issues with the vehicle. He was straight forward, and I could tell he knew his stuff. After a couple critical repairs, we were able to make it safely back to Wisconsin. I just want to thank the staff there for being accommodating, and honest. It can be difficult to find an honest shop that cares. Look no further. I will be sending my son and my daughter to their shop from now on. I do not have enough good things to say about this business. Eloy Jr. Is truly one of the best people you will encounter in your life. He and the rest of the staff care beyond words about their customers. They go out of their way to make sure their customers are safe in their vehicles and cared for. This business is reliable and trustworthy and will never try to upsell you or trick naive people, like myself, into more than they need to pay for. I will never take my car to any other shop.

These people are amazing. We were on a trip with a rental passenger van that had a tire separating and they saved the day with a diagnosis and a place to get a tire. They are the sweetest and most helpful people that I've ever encountered at an auto garage. Thank you!

This is the only mechanic I ll go to in Tallahassee. I m a female college student and have always had concerns of getting scammed by mechanics but I never have to worry when I come here. Junior has always been extremely kind, patient, and informative. There s reasonable prices along with explanations for those prices. I ve even had some small repairs and detailing done for free which was extremely generous. More so than that I love that I am recognized here and admire how they have managed to build relationships with so many of their customers. I would recommend this place to anyone, don t waste your time anywhere else.

Most respectful professional mechanic in Tallahassee. I ve only gone in for a minimal evaluation so far and was already beyond impressed with the way they treated me, as a young single female who walked in alone. Usually I get talked down to, and usually lied to. The main man in charge took me into the back and physically showed me issues with my vehicle, gave me advice for the future, and was 100% honest. I was blown away by this shop, and will be recommending him to other people. I will be back to get all of my vehicle work done

Senior and his team are the most professional, reasonable, friendly and trustworthy auto repair shop I have dealt with in a LONG time. My daughter was across the country visiting family and had trouble with her car while there. The first place she brought it to had her scared to driver her car down the street, saying it was unsafe and needed almost 2500 dollars in work. She was worried sick about getting home. Something on the paperwork just didn t sound right so I called around . By chance I called DT Garage and he said I have daughters of my own. Tell her to bring it to me and I will look it over at no charge . Well, after 600 in minor repairs, her car is fixed and she s able to drive back to NY. I cannot say enough good things about this shop. Absolutely top notch as mechanics, and as human beings. You are in good hands at DT. This is the best auto shop in Tallahassee. Wonderful people, unbeatable prices, and they do an amazing job communicating with you. I was referred to D.T's garage by a coworker and I am so thankful she told me about them. So, if you're a young lady like myself looking for a mechanic shop that you can trust.. I would highly suggest that you go here. They don't try to upsell you or charge you more than expected and they don't look for other problems with your car like pepboys. Love DT and his team. It's obvious they actually care about the customer. I'll never use another shop as long as I'm in Tallahassee. Nobody paid me a damn thing for this review. They just do a good job with integrity.

Edit 2: It s been over 2 years now since my initial visit. Junior and everyone at DT s take great care of my cars. It s the only place I go now when either of my cars have an issue or even just for routine things like oil changes and lights. I recommend them to everyone I know.Edit: It had been 11 months since my initial visit and I have had two more very positive experiences since then, including them saving me about $400 on unnecessary work that the dealer tried to get me to do. I love this place and recommend it to everyone I know.I had been quoted various prices ranging from $250-$300 around Tallahassee for someone to look into my leaking sunroof. They said I needed a sunroof service . Junior offered to blow out the drains for free and it took him less than 10 minutes to have my sunroof draining properly again. He was polite and professional and offered me some advice on how to prevent the issue from recurring. Overall it was a very positive experience. I will definitely go here for future car repair needs.

I was here some time back with an intermittent rough idle on my 2018 Elantra and was quite stressed about it. The person I saw the first time was Senior who was very reassuring and kindly taught me a little bit about the ignition coils (which he suspected was the problem, and he turned out 100% correct). When I came in the next time to finally get it fixed, Junior was who assisted me and he was equally friendly and knowledgeable. My keys were back in my hands in less time than I expected. This shop felt very genuine and they never tried to take advantage of me, which I was cautious about as a female customer. I liked them so much I recommended them to my sister. Thank you to Senior, Junior, and the staff here for taking care of my ride and keeping her running!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

My daughter (24 ) was traveling alone from Daytona Beach to Texas and she had car trouble not only did they fix her car and NOT rip her off they went above and beyond to make sure her car was safe and make her feel comfortable to ease her aniety and mine! She honestly said they made her feel like family. Her car is still running great I highly recommend this shop.

We went to Florida on Vacation and on the way back home we had a flashing engine light come on in the middle of nowhere. I called my mechanic back home who had just serviced the van before we left on this road trip and he said it was a misfire in one of the cylinders and advised to get it to a repair shop ASAP. We were close to Tallahassee and started looking up shops. We found DT's Garage and gave them a call. After talking with them and explaining our situation they were able to squeeze us in the same day and get us back on the road ASAP. The entire staff in this shop was awesome. I can't recommend these guys enough to anyone.Service: Auto maintenance

Great knowledge and customer service. DT's is the the only place in town I trust with my car.Most recently had to have a full engine replacement and they've worked diligently to make sure that everything's working the way it should. 5 stars....two thumbs up ...take your pick.

What an amazing experience I had when I called DT s auto mechanics and spoke to Christina about the issue my daughter was having with her car. I am over seven hours away from her, and then to my delight I had the pleasure speaking to The owner Mr. Eloy he explain what was going on with my daughters car and what he thought was the best course of action as to the repairs but he wanted my daughter to test drive it for a week and then if it needed what he was suggested he will then take care of it there was never any conversation at any time about any diagnostic fees or any charge at all.He just wants to make sure that it s done right without any additional charges. In my 59 years I could honestly say I ve never run into a mechanic that s Honest He is looking to do the right thing for people. We are blessed to have this family owned and run mechanic shop in our state capital. My daughter knows that moving forward there s no other place that she will take her car. Just had a great experience with DT Garage! Having bought my Caddilac when I lived in New York, there was quite a bit of rust underneath causing some problems with my drive shaft and exhaust. It is the sole vehicle my wife used to get to work. So when it broke down I was imperative that we got it fixed right away! I made the call Monday morning. They got me in that same day! As far as updates, they called me more than I called them to make sure I knew what was going on. I love that! I had my car back by Wednesday morning, and actually paid less than what I was quoted because he actively tried to save me money throughout the experience. The woman at the front desk was also very nice and professional. It s a father-son team that run the place and they do honest work. Brought my Jeep in during a road trip that morning when no other shops would take us in for multiple problems that I didn t know was happening. Junior caught my radiator had a crack therefore leaking, his amount to detail to find that was amazing. Took care of me and my Jeep as soon as possible to get us back on the road. I wish D T s garage was in my hometown to take care of all my vehicles.

We were driving down from Orlando to head home back to Texas when our car started making a weird sound. We went to three different auto shops and all said there was something wrong but they never helped us fix the problem. We were lucky enough to have come across DT s Garage where Christina was very sweet and was very quick to get help for us. They managed to have our car fixed within 2 hours and we are now able to drive at ease. The service was great. Mechanics were so amazing very sweet and made me feel very comfortable. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for quality work!

Was referred to this mechanic by a work friend of my mothers back home when her daughter came to Tallahassee for FSU years ago. I can honestly say the people running this shop all together are great people. The mechanics are friendly and trustworthy. Also the receptionist has a great personality. I recommend this place to any friend that is having car trouble. 100% trustworthy and will not scam you for your money ! Honesty is hard to find when it comes to cars nowadays.

Very honest, communicates with customers on every step of repair. I would highly recommend this professional shop on auto repairs. I will be taking my truck from jax fl to this place in Tallahassee for future repairs. I don't mind paying the money as long as it's honest, that is what everyone wants and this is the place for that. I can't say enough good things about this place. They really helped me out when I was in a tight with my daughter jeep needing repairs while she was out of town....Thank You!!!! You guys Rock!
