Our salesperson, Ethan Robinson, did a great job during the trade/sale process. We got a great deal on both the sale and trade values. There were a few minor issues with the Jeep Rubicon that we were purchasing and he made sure to get everything fixed for us. Seth, our service tech, was a fantastic communicator. He made sure the parts were ordered and waiting for us, so our appointment was very quick. Both of these guys deserve kudos for going above and beyond! We will definitely use CarMax when we purchase for our son.

This is my second time selling a vehicle at this location. Both times they honored the quote I received online. The process is very straightforward and easy. When we arrived, your representative Bray greeted us with a big smile. He was super nice, made us feel very welcomed and assisted us with the process. Then Alex took over and finalized the deal. Alex was very nice and professional as well. He explained the process, made the deal and got us out of there in no time. Bray and Alex were super awesome and made our experience a great one!

Ordered online. They got me in and out in less than 30 min even with test drive! We get all of our vehicles with carmax and will continue to! Also, many great selections at this location had us second guessing just a little. Highly recommend!

I had my appt at 4 today. When I got there a guy in a fsu shirt helped me. Soon after Zack helped me out. So he helped me to take the Jeep on 24 hour test drive. So far so good. No gimmicks the car I payed to have delivered for a test drive is the exact car they posted online. Well after dealing with car dealers for a month. I decided to contact Carmax. Glad I did. I m in service myself and the most important thing is customer service. And their customer service is on . So far on my 24 hour test drive everything is great. Thank you for your customer service and a great experience buying a car. I was amazed at how nice this Jeep is and pictures don t do justice. Big thanks to Zack for making the deal happen. And outstanding customer service. This guy deserves a raise. If you swing by ask for Zack. He will put you in the game. Thanks again.

Pablo was patient, helpful, and knowledgable with my mom (the purchaser of the car). She did not really want a new car because she loves her 20-year old one, but it was a necessity :-). He helped make her as comfortable as possible with the car-buying process. He respected all the research she had done while also encouraging her to try new brands/makes/models and see the pros of all the new bells and whistles available. I recommend Pablo and CarMax based on my experience tagging along with my mom.

I had two vehicles shipped through Carmax, and purchased both. Each time was smooth, efficient, and positive. All the agents were considerate, polite, and knowledgeable. The online process was easy, and helped make the purchase quicker. Carmax also paid for a new battery a few weeks after the purchase. I still own the first vehicle I bought from them 11 years ago. I highly recommend Carmax!

Very good customer service. My sister got a reasonable deal on a last year Forte and they gave us above KBB value for our trade-in! Will deff be coming back to keep an eye on their stock and possibly trading cars in here.

Car Max is a complete joke. Came in on a Saturday, it was at least an hour and a half before anyone even talked to me. then once a salesman came over we re sat for another 3 hours just waiting we left and came back on monday to finish the appointment and bring 2 more needed documents. spent another 4 hours in here just to be told that they cannot accept the pay stubs that we gave them. so because an employer does payroll differently than a big company you can t accept it? not to mention we provided several different forms for Proof of Income. Honestly seemed like nobody there knew what they were doing and the ones that did seem to know were completely rude and arrogant. definitely would not recommend to anyone who is looking for a vehicle. you will waste your time here.

My wife and I needed a bigger vehicle for our new addition to the family. We were helped by both of the Noah's at CarMax the process and experience was amazing. They make car buying super easy.Both of them were excellent and so much help! One of them stayed later than his shift whilst we berated him with questions and walking around to see the vehicles. But he stuck it out and was full of answers. The next Noah came in clutch as we came in a couple days later, with the help from OG Noah, with the exact car we wanted with one other up for discussion. He set us up in test drives and when I blinked I was holding the keys to our Jeep!Thank you guys for all of the help and easy process! See you on the next trade in!

While the low fees are decent compared to other dealers. This shipping and customer support is horrible. On 3/12, I ordered a truck from Chattanooga to Tallahassee, originally estimated to arrive on 16th. Even though it's only 6 hours away. I though maybe drivers can only do 100 miles a day. It's now the 17th and the truck is in Orlando! (You literally drove past Tallahassee) I am being told I won't get it until the 23th. Orlando is 5 hours away. Who is running the logistics a squirrel?Btw this date happens to be 2 days past the guarantee offer on my trade.Do better CarMax!

I paid the $200 shipping cost and the car was schedule to arrive between 3/1 and 3/7. It was only 342 miles away. However, it is the 7th and now i'm being informed it will be late-not arriving till 3/10. Carmax did not call or email to inform me of the delay tne carrier drove past Tallahassee without dropping the car. This is frustrating and poor customer service.

Carmax representatives and the physical Carmax in Tallahassee projects, amplifies, and shines their care for the potential customer, those who purchase a car, and yes even those who return the car back within 30 days for a full refund with a smile and genuine understanding. That is what happened with me. And yes I will be back to start again in searching for the car that meets my needs. And yes I will only expect the best of care, support, help, and a few laughs along the way as I purchase again what I am needing because that is the experience I had and I'm sure you will have too. Thank you to the representatives Wendy and Daniel who helped online/phone. Thank you to the amazing staff at Carmax Tallahassee; Ethan, Alex, and Manager Santos you guys are ... priceless. And all the other staff that I didn't catch their name but their hello's and smiles were welcoming and genuine...See ya'll in a few months.

My husband & I purchased our vehicles through CarMax. Last year, he purchased a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado. The experience for us was easy and completely stressless. We searched for months for a truck, then when my husband finally found it, we paid to have it transferred. The transfer fees are dependent on the location of the vehicle and trust me, it s worth it in the long run.I just purchased a 2017 Toyota 86 and had it transferred from Knoxville, TN to this location. The car only had 3,500 miles though the ad said 4,000 cause the dealership rounds up! That was a nice surprise.For the process:I worked with Pamela Bonds initially over the phone to arrange the transfer. She was so sweet, answered all my questions, and made the process so exciting! She even confirmed that once I scheduled and paid the transfer, the car would be advertised as sold & held until I test drove the vehicle at the arrival location. It was quick too cause once I paid for it to be transferred, within minutes the car was no longer available on the CarMax app.Once it arrived in Tallahassee, I got a call to schedule a test drive. Rob greeted me at the dealership and assisted me with the test drive and paperwork. It was seriously the most stress-less experience I ve ever had at a dealership.We bought my Ford car at a dealership and the negotiation, hassling, frustration almost caused us to walk away... we still weren t happy when leaving.When looking for my husband s truck, we went to a Chevy dealership and they kept showing us trucks that weren t in our price range and the ones that should have been, were way over priced. It was such a waste of our time. We left dissatisfied with the service and dissatisfied that we wasted our time.We will NEVER buy another car anywhere else except CarMax. This is the way to go. Thank you!

I went to possibly sell my car and got an offer. BUT decided to see if I could do better trading it in than selling it. Shocked!!! CarMax pays MORE than a dealer will give you for a trade in!!!

The sales staff at CarMax in Tallahassee is great. I would give their care and conscientiousness 5 stars.I may well purchase from CarMax again.I love my car. I purchased a 2019 Lincoln Nautilus with about 30,000 miles.So why 3 stars? The misrepresentations.I ordered a v6, the car that arrived was a 4 cylinder. No one checked. They actually asked me how I knew it wasn't a v6. I explained the writing on the back of the car, the engine, the vin look up.When I picked up the car it had a large scratch down the side. CarMax did fix the scratch after a month. They had not walked the car and identified the scratch themselves prior to giving it to me. It was a minor ordeal to get fixed.The 125+ service inspection. No one at CarMax can give you a copy of the inspection. CarMax can not even tell you where the inspection occurred, if it occurred. It is true that my car had been repainted prior to shipment to Tallahassee and there were some minor notes about aesthetic repairs so someone did something. The only reason I started questioning was that when I opened the hood of the vehicle a number of the fluids were low. Not empty so no damage was done to the vehicle, but still even a rudimentary inspection at the local Lube shop they top everything off and have a computerized record of what was done.CarMax does not have a mechanic on duty. CarMax does not service their vehicles after purchase. They are fast, friendly, efficient, and they expect you to be out the door. If you want a relationship with a car dealership, buy from a regular car dealership.So will I purchase from CarMax again? If they are still in business in three years maybe, probably, I don't know.I would definitely take any vehicle that I am looking at to an outside Mechanic that I trust and have them do a thorough inspection, something I mistakenly thought would not be necessary with CarMax.I would also more aggressively price check them. The only damage they admit in their descriptions is what you find on a car vehicle report by vin number (The stuff turned in to an insurance company). They do not list dents, scratches, fender benders that the owner did not turn in to insurance but obviously occurred because they repainted them.Your local Sales person and the person on the phone are not lying to you. They are reading what is on the screen and CarMax intentionally hides the details from them.

October 2023 .I paid for a transfer from Texas to Florida. Was emailed all the way as the transfer progressed and finally told that it was ready for sale and my test drive. Cool. Made an appointment. The notification process was computerized and it asked me to make an appointment several times after I had made it.Arrived 10 minutes early for my 1pm appointment. Took a drive.Car was dirty on the outside and dirty on the inside. Even the cup holders were filthy and sticky.The wipers were old and squeaked a lot when used. AC took ages to cool and never blew cold. The engine had leaves in it and was filthy. All very easily spotted and fixed before I got there. Yet I was told it was ready for sale after their 125 point inspection process . The vehicle was sound but certainly not sale ready. Very disappointing.- Told them I d take it pending cleaning, wipers and AC issues resolved.- Was told no one available on this Monday to charge the AC and replace the wipers. Hmmm okay.- Was asked to sit till they could find someone to close the sale and did I sat at 1:25.- At 1:50 I reminded them that I had an appointment at 1:00 and didn t really have all day to sit and wait just to begin the process post test drive. We are short staffed and training new people so it ll take a while unfortunately - As I sat there I watch potential buyers being asked to come back later in the week as they were so busy. Genuinely shocking if this is the Carmax norm.- 14:10 started the sale closing process. Lovely friendly associate- I was paying by check, so the manager came over to my to verify funds. Just needed to see my Bank balance in my phone app. As I began to open the app etc.. the manager said I ll be back, I m busy and have other people to deal with .. and began to walk away. That s a very low level of service and care. I stopped him in his tracks and within 5 seconds he had what he needed.I was genuinely shocked at his disregard for my time in favor of his own, all 5 seconds of it. I almost got up and walked out.- 15:00. Sale complete.- 15:10. Delivery done. Car cleaned kinda cupholders still filthy and carpet not vacuumed well.- Waited another 50 minutes to get paperwork .- Overall .- Awesome sales associate,- Everything / everyone else..horrendous- That night I noticed one license plate light out. I climbed under the car and noticed the light unit dangling by the wire. I cleaned it as it was filthy from hanging there for ages I assume, put in a new bulb and it worked fine.I ll never go back to Carmax. Ever.Update. As you can see below, Carmax responded and requested I contact them at a particular email address. I did.Guess what? NO RESPONSE.Imagine that

I went to CarMax about a week ago because I was in search of a new vehicle. There was a guy that worked there his name was John (I think), he was a manager! Super awesome guy, helped me sufficiently in my car search journey, and I also got valuable information from him. I know he was looking to move to the Montgomery store, I hope he gets the job haha!

My experience was excellent from the beginning to delivery. Best car buying experience I have ever had and this comes from a person who spent 18 years of being in the automobile business doing everything from a salesperson to a general manager. No high pressure, no running to get approvals several times, no games. The same person who started the sale finished the sale even all the paperwork.

I am one more day of frustrating news from picketing in front of this carmax to turn customers away. The incompetence is actually impressive. They ran my credit 3 more times than needed refused to deliver car over 2 miles and all cone to find out they lost the title. They were just stalling wasting my family's time. 0 compensation past a "transfer fee refund" never use carmax.
