There are genuinely too many good things about Ivan and Capital Auto Center for one review. I ve been taking my pretty beat up Nissan to them for a year now and regretted it the one time that I didn t! Ivan always takes the time to explain to me exactly what s going on with my car and why, has very reasonable prices, and just an outstanding friendliness and professionalism. As a female college student, car repairs are already intimidating enough, but I can safely say Ivan is the only mechanic I ll be taking my car to as long as I live in Tallahassee. Most recently my car had a coolant leak that they were able to diagnose and repair while doing a secondary job, and finished on the same day I called! Whether you just need an inspection or more complicated repairs, trust that you won t regret coming here! Ivan and his team are outstanding.

Very impressed with Capital Auto Center. My son is in college and he took his BMW 750iL V12 to Capital for a transmission shifting issue. They took care of the problem at a very reasonable cost... and provided an excellent write up of maintenance items. If you have a student and want them to be well taken care of... not taken advantage of... this is the place to go!

This is the best car repair shop in Tallahassee to take your foreign vehicle to!!!! Ivan & his team is the best!!!!! Wonderful attitudes, no extremely long waits for repairs, and very reliable prices!! Ivan has proven to me that him & his team is better than the actual BMW dealership and that is proven facts!!!!! I will always take my BMW to Capital Auto Center! I even took my 2015 Kia Optima that I had a couple years back and Ivan was able to send it to Kia dealership and I received a brand new engine I would never forget it!!! I am so amazed with Capital Auto Center BMW!

Ivan s been my go-to since moving to Tallahassee. My 2013 MINI has given me some trouble the past couple years down to recently needing a whole transmission replacement. Every issue I ve had he s been able to help me with and he is very thorough, reasonable, and transparent with pricing and service. I ll continue to use his shop as long as I live here. Thanks Ivan!

I called in to set an appointment for a diag to find and repair a leak, the gentleman wasnt rude but didnt have any customer service energy but i still wanted the service because I had heard they were good and prices were reasonable. Its my wifes car and its nothing major but just like to take care a problem before it gets bad. I dropped her car off at 8 a.m and received the estimate at 12 noon for $1237.32 for a minor antifreeze leak. I told the gentleman I'd pay for the diag and come get the car. I arrived about 40 mins later and the car wasnt rdy. Took about 20 mins after I arrived to get the car. I drove home went inside to use the bathroom and come out, and theres a huge spot of antifreeze on the ground. I popped the hood to find the radiator cap not on.I immediately called the shop and informed the tech of what happened and with a nonchalant tone, I was advised to just top the coolant off and it'll be fine. No sorry or can you bring it back or anything, and mind you, I have a disability so it's difficult for me to do certain task. I would never refer this establishment to anyone, It was a horrible experience and I will not go back for any services

Ivan is always super professional and thorough. He will tell you everything that you need to know about your car while letting you know what is urgent and what can wait. Won't push things on you which is always great. A good trustworthy mechanic is hard to find but that's what you'll find here. Fixed everything quickly. This was my second time at capital auto and the experience is always the same , he has great customer service ,very fast and efficient. Pricing is well priced and fair , if you are new to Tallahassee I recommend his shop !

Very professional!Have taken my Honda Element in several times and have been very pleased with the service. Ivan and staff are very professional. The shop is clean and well organized, usually a good sign. Communication is great with very clear estimates and descriptions of services. Very fair pricing as well. Highly recommend.

The alternator on my Volvo went out on a Thursday, Ivan informed me the car was done on Monday! Extremely efficient, and I loved how he went over EVERYTHING that might need replaced in the near future. I think I ve found my new mechanic!

Capital Auto Center has been very helpful since getting my used 2015 VW Jetta. There was an issue with the AC unit and with the body control module in my car. They definitely take their time to do the job properly and are great about calling with updates on the progress of a project. Extremely fair pricing, too.

Ivan is remarkable! I hope nothing changes my opinion about his care and service. Provided detail and photos about every raggedy thing in Cissy (650i BMW) --rather than have me come back and forth and charge for additional labor --he told me straight and repaired all of them! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Ivan is excellent. After losing our Brother-In-Law who was a master mechanic we began taking our vehicles to Ivan. He is very smart & thoroughly goes over your entire vehicle. He's trust worthy, fast in getting your car back on the road again and great at his job. We only trust him with our vehicles now.

Ivan s auto shop is the must to go place if you have a car needs to be taken care of! I m so glad I got to know his place from a local people. Knows a lot about vehicles and prices are great!!!! My 2004 Honda Civic accessory belt snapped off on the middle of I-10 and I had it towed to Capital Auto Parts and the next day they had already found everything wrong with it and diagnosed two new belts for me. Ivan clearly knows a lot about cars and is very very helpful with what you should do and how much it ll be! Ivan and his team did a really thorough inspection and even took the time to check so many things I listed without extra charge. They also fixed the issues with my car. Friendly team and affordable prices. Unlike other mechanics, they do NOT try to charge you for stuff you don't need to do. IVAN IS AMAZING! I took my car to two different mechanics and they were unable to diagnose what was wrong with my vehicle. I left my car with Ivan while I went to NY and he communicated with me consistently and sent me photos of what was wrong. He repaired the issue promptly and two months later my car is running amazing! I trust him and you will not be disappointed!

Great service and excellent professionalism. Ivan is fantastic both as a master mechanic and as a person! He gets right to the issues with your car and treats it like his own. He also treats his customers with the utmost courtesy. Only suggests what is needed and always charges a fair price. I have used him at least a half dozen times over the past year and he has consistently been a pleasure to work with. Over the past almost 40 years in Tallahassee, I have only found a few honest and knowledgeable mechanics. He is surely one of them!

Ivan is amazing! Super chill and very professional. I love how he takes the time to literally show you what's going on with your vehicle (I'm a visual learner) and the patience he has to thoroughly answer questions (because I had alot ). He did a couple jobs on my VW Jetta and the biggest one was the transmission about a month and a half ago. It's still driving as good as new and he found me a great deal. I HIGHLY recommend him and this shop and will be back for any car maintenance I need .

I was referred and I'm very glad I went to them. I was traveling from Fort Lauderdale and I was on a serious time crunch before heading back home with a 6-7 hr drive ahead of me - they fixed a brake light issue caused by another shop in a little less than an hour and for a low cost. They are also very knowledgeable and friendly! I definitely recommend them!Service: Auto brake repair

My daughter had just returned from summer break at FSU. We were driving in her car, (2015 VW Jetta GLI) battery light came on and long story made short everything quit working. I called the VW dealer in Tallahassee and they said it would be a week at least. I then called and spoke with Ivan, we had the car towed (9 am). We stopped in around 3 pm to get an update and possibly put on the new wiper blades I had brought with me for her car. I could not imagine seeing her car in the service bay and even more surprised they were just finishing up the repairs. Ivan had the service tech install the blades for us while he went over the inspection report. This place far exceeded my expectations on promptness, professionalism, and attention to detail. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.Services: Electrical repair, Electrical, Wiper blade installation

Fast, professional, and honest. Parts were priced without any extra charges, and labor was very reasonable. They have fixed my wife's VW and my diesel truck, and it was by far the best experience I've ever had with auto repair (dealer or independent mechanic). Absolutely would recommend.

We had an issue with our car and called around to no avail. We called here and they saw us same day and had our car back to us the next day! Really happy with their service.
