Worst place ever. Took over 6 months to "fix" my car. Never communicated with me or could tell me what was going on. Tried to get my insurance to pay more and more for stuff that wasn't even part of the claim which almost totaled my vehicle. Promised me 3 separate dates that it would be ready but it never was ready on any of those days. First date was by January 1st and didn't get it back until March. Complained to me about my insurance company even though my insurance had paid them already and my insurance adjuster said they were "shocked" and didn't know why my car was still not ready. They didn't even complete the repairs and they messed up my power steering and won't even look at it. Everyone I spoke to at their shop was incredibly rude and lacked any knowledge about vehicles or my vehicle. Biggest regret was letting someone convince me to trust them with my vehicle.

BEWARE: I would not recommend a dog to fix his bone here. When it comes to the women in the office, they WILL scam you! They will claim they ordered parts and worked on your car but in actuality are NOT purchasing new products. Stay on top of them! Check to be sure they have ordered your parts, speak with the mechanic to be sure your parts and car has been worked on because he s the most honest. The women are like typical women in men s work trying to scam people in a COLLEGE town which is SICK and demonic! Don t go!! Your best option is Powerhouse (they are located on Tharpe St. ) Powerhouse is the BEST HANDS DOWN IN TOWN!! Go to Powerhouse NOT Bobs!!!

Like others have said, they ll keep your vehicle for several days without touching it or communicating with you. I don t like leaving negative reviews, but I think others should be aware and cautious. Every time I called to check on the status of my car, I was told we re about to pull it in, it s on the lift, or it s being diagnosed now, but when I picked it up, it was parked in the same spot I left it. I understand not wanting to do warranty work, but I wish they would ve let me know that when I dropped it off. When I called to set up the appointment, I told them it was warranty work. When I dropped it off, I mentioned the warranty again. After three days, after talking to someone new, I again mentioned the warranty but was then told that there s a sign in the office that says I m supposed to stay with the car? And that they didn t actually like working with the specific warranty I have, so maybe I should take it somewhere else. All of that would ve been fine if they told me on the phone when I initially set the appointment or when I tried to drop it off. Instead, I have three days of Uber charges as my wife and I both rely on the same car. Based on other reviews, it looks like not everyone has a bad experience. Just know that there s a good chance you re gonna have a bad time. Definitely could not recommend based on the service I received.

Don t go to them !!!!! Terrible service they ll work on your car without even asking! Keep your car for a week or two without ordering parts or even giving it a look. I ordered a part for my car as well and they lied saying that they put it on never did and I got charged for it. Just do not go to them they are literally the worst mechanic shop in Tallahassee.

Bob s had my car for 3 weeks.The first week, it didn t even get looked at. I called to ask about my car and they had no idea what I was talking about.Then, they looked at it and ordered the parts. The employees there don t communicate well with each other because one person told me all the parts were there and the car was being fixed, and then a day later another person told me that they were still waiting on a few.Finally, after having to call repeatedly and bug the employees there for a straightforward response for an entire week, they told me my car was ready. I went out there and surprise they told me the car was actually not ready because they had not called my insurance company to confirm payment. I had to argue with the employees (and manager, Misty) in the lobby to get my keys back.Now that the car is fixed, I drove it home and it made a loud clicking noise the entire time. Turns out they somehow managed to create a new problem for me to fix in those 3 weeks they had it, and I had to take it to another shop to fix what Bob s broke.Do not take your car to Bob s.EDIT TO ADD: The dealership looked at it and told me what a bad job Bob s had really done. Nothing was fully fixed all the way and they had used generic parts (even though they told me the repair took so long because they were using BMW parts). Not only did they not fix the car they lied.DO NOT take your car to Bob s.

I've never met a group of more professional, knowledgeable, and honest people in the automotive repair industry! They have created a family environment where they treat employees and customers like their own. You won't get more honest and affordable service! They are also incredible supporters of our community. I took my truck to Bobs Auto Repair. It was recommended by Endurance Warranty. I have a transmission problem. Bobs had my truck nearly a month and performed no service. Annoyed the first week was not their fault as there was a mileage discrepancy that I had to deal l with. What frustrated me most was that on 7/5/23, I was told by Mitzi that she would call Endurance for clarification on what they needed to proceed. I called every day that Bob's was open to get a status check. I was always friendly, never rude. Often thanking them for their help. On 7/13/23, I spoke with Mitzi and she said she hadn't had time to call yet. This was disappointing. I called again on 7/14/23 and spoke with Lola (a slightly condescending and unpleasant person ). I was placed on hold for 20 minutes and then disconnected. Approximately 3 hours later, I received a call from Mitzi stating that they were unable to help me. They were busy and didn't want to break open the transmits as requested by Endurance. All of this time, I never lost my cool and was always polite.I located another service facility that was willing to accept the warranty and provide the service. I went to pick up my truck, and as I walked in the door, Lola had my keys in hand and was very negative and condescending towards me. I felt that she was making it my fault. At least, that is my perception of her attitude. Again, I never lost my cool. After handing me my keys, she told me the truck was in the back lot somewhere. Never offering me any more help than that. When I found my truck, the battery was so dead that it wouldn't even unlock using the remote. Luckily, I keep a jump starter in my truck for emergencies.My opinion is that Bob's got very busy and decided against taking my job. The attitude from Lola is what ultimately inspired me to write this review. Why should I be treated poorly when I never did a thing wrong?

Great place, friendly service, they keep you in the loop and always have accurate estimates.Definitely recommend to anyone in the tally area and students who don't want to be scammed or ripped off, these guys are straight shooters and have worked on my car, which is running greaaaaat now.Thank you Bob's.

Everyone was so friendly and professional, especially Misty who I spoke to initially about getting my truck repaired. It had massive front-end damage and I was afraid it would never be the same again, but the team at Bob s went above and beyond. Truck looks brand new. Plus they even gave out free fruit cakes! Highly recommend, they were a pleasure to work with!

Terrible, Terrible Terrible company and the worst customer service. Bob s Auto repair and Collision got me back on the road quickly and completely satisfied. They displayed excellent customer service, quality and professionalism. Melissa was outstanding over the phone and in person. Daniel did an amazing job with paint and restoration! My front end was Color matched to perfection after an unfortunate collision, but my truck now looks like it did the day it rolled off of the factory line. I had a scheduled appointment to repair body damage to my truck. The estimate showed eight days to repair but the owner told me that it wouldn t take that long. I contacted them the morning of the day eight and was informed the job would take an additional 6 days due to the technician assigned no longer being with the company. I needed the truck and inquired if the work had even started. It took them 24 hours to confirm that truck hadn t been touched. I picked up my truck and will take my business elsewhere.Service: Painting

I had to make an appointment over a week out. I dropped my car off Monday morning and I called back around noon to get a status update to find out that no one has even touched it yet. I ve been waiting three more hours to find out a technician was assigned to it but it was still sitting in the parking lot. Why would I want to just leave my car in a parking lot for two days when I can still use it will not be returning.

I cannot say enough good about this family owned business!! From calling them and getting prompt answers, to smiling faces walking in the door, to such a CLEAN organized facility, to such great work done on my car... an all around great business! I had my car painted from light blue to all white and you can t tell it was ever blue. Every little detail- perfect!! Everyone you encounter in the office is so friendly and kind and I was so pleased with every single thing.

I have mixed feeling over Bob's auto Repair and collision center. The staff have seemed to be friendly and the techs I have spoken to seem to actually have knowledge about vehicles instead of just trusting the computer reads. I love the fact they will check over your car for no cost. This is a big deal and shows honesty. You can compare what they have said to others. There prices might not be the best but I love how the staff treat you and seem to know what they are talking about. I will update my review again after our next visit. We did use a Groupon for an oil change which was a great value but it took two hours. If it was not for that I would have given 5 stars. All I was told was sorry. Will be back :)

This is a very honest, expert and professional business. They really take care of customer. Misty is superb. She showed her honesty, customer service and loyalty to me when I recently went there to repair my car. I had a donor car which I used to take parts to rebuild a different same model car. When I initially spoke to Misty, she clearly explained to me how she can do the work. She gave me the approximate cost for it which she maintained at the end. She also provided me the service and update throughout the process of entire work. I will definitely go there again and again. This is the best auto repair shop in Tallahassee. I encounter bad experiences from 10 or more different auto repair shops in Tallahassee. I almost lost my trust on this city until I met this shop. I highly recommend Bob's Auto Repair & Collision Center.

Very nice, explained the price of everything and pretty quick job. They had a hiccup and ended up needing an extra day, stuff happens, but they communicated with me and kept me updated during the process. Also gave me the cheapest quote of 3 collision shops.

The service is always Great!! You are never forced to pay for something that's not needed. You are always informed about the issues for your vehicle.No matter when I need to have my car serviced, Misty Sullivan and her staff always take good care of me. I have an older model Lexus GS 300. When I began having issue with it, I took it to several auto shops in Thomasvill Ga and another dealership here in town. They only gave me empty promises and took my money and nothing was ever fixed. Then I took my car to Bob's Auto Repair and I met Misty. Her knowledge about my Lexus blew my mind. Just from the conversation we had about some of the issues I was experiencing, she was able to provide pertinent information about my vehicle that none of the other shops could. I am sooooo glad that I found her and I will continue to be a loyal customer. So, if you're looking for a Winner, then drop that 1 piece chicken dinner and get over to Bob's Auto Repair where they give you a Full Meal..........

The team at Bob's have taken fantastic care of my FSU daughter's car over the past couple of years. She's had an older car, and we have always been able to get our service and repairs done at Bob's when needed, and at really reasonable prices.When the car finally gave out, they even helped her remove the plates and find someone to take it off her hands.Really wonderful people!

These folks are awesome. I knew the founder Bob Sullivan and we were good friends. Went here two years ago to get the power steering lines replaced on my mini. They charged me $1000, with my 15% discount from my job at the time. It took them about a week to fix it. Not even three minutes away from the lot, my car started overheating, so I brought it back. Thirty minutes later, a guy comes out and says there were bubbles in the coolant. ?? Pretty sure they just forgot to replace the coolant after they were done working on my car and were too embarrassed to fess up. Several days later, my power steering locked up again, so I had to take it back. This happened TWO MORE TIMES before the issue was resolved. At the time, I was working two jobs: one as a delivery driver, and another one that was fifteen minutes away. Without a car, I was unable to work at either of my jobs, and had to wait about three weeks for my car to get fully repaired for an issue that should have been solved the first time I brought it in. Misty, the lady at the register, was also pretty unpleasant to deal with. TLDR; expensive work that wasn t done right the first three times. If you want to waste your time and money, Bob s is the place.

Talks a big talk. Terrible service, uses substandard parts, zero followup. You can look cute for 15 minutes, but after that, you better know something! After a month, truck still was not ready or correct. I was towed to Bobs Auto around 5:30 PM on a Thursday, they closed at 6. Didn't look good for me. Upon my arrival I asked what the odds of getting my car fixed that night and they told me unfortunately it was Zero. Pretty bummed cause I was only in Tallahassee for business and lived 3 hours away in Jacksonville. But Misty and her guys were able to quickly diagnose my issue, as a dead alternator, get the part and they even stayed a little late to fix the issue so I could get home that night. Great service and very helpful. Plus a good warranty on the part.

Took my car in expecting the worst and the usual huge price markups found at seemingly every auto repair place. Much to my surprise I received a very friendly phone call from a lady named Misty who explained in full detail what was wrong with my vehicle. I thought to myself, "well at least the customer service is great", but was just waiting for her to lay a huge bill on me to fix the issues.I was shocked when she told me the price and it was shock in a very good way. I was left with the feeling that I was receiving a very fair price and that's something you can rarely say when dealing with an automotive shop.I picked my vehicle up later that day and it was working like a charm again and even better there were no "surprise" fees or repairs needed that always seem to pop up after the fact.I very rarely if ever leave reviews and such, but felt compelled in this case. It's just such a rarity nowadays to find a place that comes across as trustworthy and reputable.If you are looking for a go to automotive repair shop and don't know where to start amongst the myriad of choices online, I highly recommend Bob's Auto. At the very least you can have the piece of mind knowing you aren't going to get ripped off and they will give it to you straight.

Every time I took my car to Bob's they insisted I needed to repair more than what was truly needed. They like to exaggerate every situation and incite fear in their customers. Took my car here because it would not turn on. Told me that I needed a whole new engine that would cost me about $3k. Decided to get a second opinion and turns out that my car did not need a new engine and the simple repair would only cost me ~$50. Not only that, but I'm pretty sure they only made things worse by flooding my engine with fuel. I do not trust Bob's and will not be going back.

I am so thankful that I found Bob s Collision. They were great! Fixed a very large dent in my Forester door like new, and all at less than half the estimate I received from several other Tallahassee shops. They (especially Misty) were professional and super courteous from the minute I walked in the door. My car, which they washed, looked shiny and new when I picked it up. I couldn t have been more pleased.

Super rude honestly. I called about an estimate to get on my car and the lady told me when I arrived, to ask for a specific person. The lady at the front desk, looked at me as if they didn t have time for me and said it wouldn t take long. I spent about an hour waiting for this one lady that I saw multiple times, probably able to help me for the short time span I was asking for and didn t get it. I left and they never called me back asking where I was, so it just showed me they didn t care.

I am very peculiar about where I send my car, and I had a chance to put my trust and confidence into Bobs Auto when I had some issues with my car and they were able to 1. Make the issues with my vehicle very transparent. 2. Expedite the process and give a legit timeline of when the vehicle would be ready and 3. Provided an amazing personable experience which helped me focus on the necessities and not so much feel pressure that everything is URGENT!I appreciate the time and effort at Bob's and the level of knowledge and care for people and cars but more so, making Bobs Auto such a Magical Place!
