My whole experience with Monterrey Muffler Discount Center was absolutely amazing! From my phone call to my truck being up on a lift was about 20 minutes and the whole job took less than an hour! Jim gave me phenomenal customer service and a great price on a new muffler that was way better than the one I had in there. We had a great conversation while he quickly and efficiently welded in the new muffler. I would one hundred percent recommend bringing your vehicle to Jim to work on. He knows his stuff! Hands down, the best auto repair experience that I've ever had! I'll definitely be coming back when needed!

Jim is awesome and down to earth! And he knows his stuff! The phone call to schedule appointment was so very pleasant, I had a 1pm appointment and I didn t have to wait. I was in and out and will be back. I recommend! Highly!

Absolutely fantastic to deal with the lovely crew here.Jim/Jeffrey (so sorry I'm blanking on his name) absolutely took care of me and was more than realistic with pricing to install a aftermarket wideband O2 sensor in my aftermarket stainless headers so I can properly tune the vehicle later on.Told me 2 weeks but got me in before then and looked over my 90 miata and pointed out some things I never even knew about exhausts.I will always bring my vehicles here for exhaust work and repairs from now on. Fantastic crew and extremely pleasant to deal with.FYI the owners have changed the hours to 830-430 (see earlier picture) so the owners can take care of themselves medically. Much love

The absolute best! The friendliest service I have ever experienced with a masterclass job on the exhaust. They installed a brand new Magnaflow exhaust system on my Saab 9-5 and it sounds amazing. Jimmy was awesome and took time to give me advice on how to take care of the system and also told me ways to keep my fuel cleaner and advice on which air filter to buy. The absolute best service and care I have ever recieved for a car and will be a longtime customer!Service: Exhaust

I stopped by Monterey Muffler late October to discuss options to have an exhaust installed on my 2016 GMC Yukon Denali XL. Jim was busy and recommend I set an appointment to ensure he could allot time for my questions. The appointment was set for November 1. He called to verify I was coming and once I arrived at the shop my truck was placed on a lift and Jim showed me my existing exhaust and his thoughts for a high performance exhaust. Based on his knowledge I felt very comfortable going with his recommendation. We decided on a cat back system that utilized a GP high performance muffler. He quoted me a time of 2 hours to complete the work during my visit and recommended a place to get a bite to eat and kill some time. Here is what makes this shop special; First, the job was completed prior to the end of 2 hours. Second the installation was a thing of beauty, he coated the pipes with a black heat resistant paint and paired it with a chrome tip that created a one off appearance! Third, once Jim started the truck I couldn't have been any happier with the tone / sound of the new exhaust. Jim noticed some military stickers on my truck and graciously provided a military discount due to his family' service in the military. Monterey Muffler provided the type of service and craftsmanship that is rarely found in other auto related businesses. All questions were answered so there was nothing that surprised me. The most honest shop I have ever been to. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR ANYWHERE ELSE, THIS IS THE SHOP TO GO TO!!!Dealer told me cats are clogged and it was 1600 to repair.Took my car to billy, he said they're not clogged and I had a fuel issue most likely. Saved me 1600 dollars and my car is running.Couldn't be more thankful for billy and his shop.

My experience at Monterey Muffler Discount Center was absolutely fabulous. I called Jimmy about my muffler; not only was he able to squeeze me in for an appointment the same day, when I arrived he immediately took my car back to the garage. I was floored when Jimmy invited me to come back into the garage to show me what was wrong with my muffler. Never in my years has a mechanic done that. It was refreshing to actually see what was wrong with my car, just not hear about it.Within a short time, Jimmy fixed my muffler and at a reasonable price. He even went way beyond my expectations by allowing me to watch the repair. He made a special Supergirl patch emblem on my muffler because I was wearing my favorite Supergirl workout tee. I have never left an auto repair shop happy and secured that the repair was done superbly.If you re looking for great service, a mechanic you can trust, with a fair price definitely call Jimmy at Monterey Muffler Discount Center.

I wish there were more family owned businesses like this one around. Jim does great work at a very fair price.He showed me what I needed repaired, gave me an estimate and then offered a few suggestions on what I could do to make my exhaust perform better. He was never forceful with his suggestions, just wanted me to know all my options. He has a great car side manner.Work was done quickly and the results were exactly as I expected.I will be back to make some upgrades down the road. Jim is a master at his craft. Would trust him with any of my vehicles and highly recommend him for any and every exhaust need. He worked on my v6 canyon and has it purring like a v8. I still smile when I have to punch it and hear the growl from the custom cat back system he created for me...and at a very reasonable price. He even let me hang out in the back and watch him work. I could not be happier with the service performed. Any of the corporate muffler shops would have replaced expensive exhaust system components, but the owner simply welded in a new exhaust flange at a very reasonable price. We were greeted in a friendly manner, brought into the shop to see what the problem was, and were back on the road 15 minutes later.

My husband surprised me with some enhancements to my new Alfa Romeo Giulia and brought it back to me sounding just as sporty as it looks. Jim did an amazing job with the muffler delete and now my car doesn t just look amazing, it sounds amazing. Worth traveling from palm beach to have quality work done right, and at an extremely affordable price. Highly recommend Monterey muffler to anyone who needs work done on ANY car or truck. Went here because of the reviews. Will come back because of the awesome service. Jim told me what I needed, NOT what he felt like selling me or up-charging me for, which is priceless in my opinion. He advised, then performed the service he offered quickly. In an out, muffler switch out with a bit of welding, little over an hour. I just went there for a quote, and got service on the spot. This shop is really cool and Jim is super friendly and very considerate. He was booked the day I cled him but offered to squeeze me in. When I showed up he took me right in and explained the entire process to me. He let me watch as he cut my mid mufflers out and welded new pipes on.Great price, great shop and a great guy. I'll definitely be recommending this shop to anyone that needs work done.

I first brought my 2004 Hyundai into the shop for an exhaust leak , Jim the owner took me right in check out the leak fixed was was necessary saving me a ton of money. I was so impressed by his honesty and craftsmanship I brought my 1975 corvette into him for a costume exhaust. Being 60 plus years old I have been to many car repair shops , I have never had a better experience ,his knowledge of exhaust and cars is unreal. The detail to the exhaust he put in beyond my expectations. Besides the great work and price Jim offers, you also make a new friend. Can t say enough how good Monterey Muffler is. These guys are simply the BEST!!! I made an appointment they got me in early. Diagnosed the problem quick. Was able to put a great sounding exhaust on my truck and fixed other things while it was on the lift. GREAT prices for quality parts and service. I recently moved to this area and this will be my go to for exhaust work. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Monterey Muffler !!

What a pleasure to deal with this shop! As a woman, going to an "unknown" repair shop can be intimidating. Not so with this one. The proprietor is honest, friendly, efficient and informative. He showed me exactly what needed fixing underneath the car in the exhaust system. He gave me a very reasonable quote and fixed the issue immediately. Jim is amazing, I thought I had an exhaust issue with my 2000 Jeep Wrangler. After spending 20 minutes on the lift checking everything out, he handed me my keys and told me no issues, no charge . I highly recommend this family owned business.

My experience here was more than great! As soon as Jim put my car on the lift, he knew exactly what the problem was with my car. He fixed the issue right then and there in the matter of minutes! I am very pleased and would definitely return.
