Note, this KOA is under new management. We stayed here last year and loved it. Returned this year and had a different experience. Pool was closed ( since November) and we were told it was "expensive" to fix. Pool was also full of leaves. Propane tank was out of order as well. Checked in with 4 dogs, but, were told (after 8 days) they had a 2 dog limit. And we had a camper next to us with a 200+ pound pig that made quite a racket at times. For those booking from out of state, the park rules are not the same as those shown online and you may, or may not, be given the rules at check in. We were not. Will not be back.

Great KOA. Friendly staff. Invited us to take part in their events. Happy was very welcoming. Front desk staff (sorry I forgot her name) was super nice in helping us find a dinner restaurant too. Would definitely recommend.Clean facilities

We've stayed here twice. Great location off 301, an RV friendly highway that's a good cutoff if you're going from 95 to West Coast of Florida. Nice campground, super friendly staff, plenty of maneuvering room, level sites, plenty of stuff nearby. Speaking of which, we've been to Walmarts all over this great country, and the one 1.2 mikes from the KOA takes the cake. It's special.Very nice KOA, highly recommended.

What an EXCELLENT month stay here. The staff are just plain Friendly and Inviting. The fellow campers (often time multiple year snowbirds) are very informative and pleasant to be around. The facilities are very well maintained with clean bathrooms /showers, and public areas. Everything worked ! Especially a strong wifi, and airwave signals from Jacksonville stations. With solid asphalt streets and concrete pads everything was inviting.Shopping? For FOOD Aldi is just through a gate next to the park, Walmart is less than 1 mile away, Winn-Dixie is about 1.1 miles away. Even St. Michael's Catholic Church is 1.3 miles away. Auto / Truck repair? 1 mile. Auto parts? Less than 1 mile. Tractor Supply and Ace hdwr less then 1/2 mile away. EVERYTHING is close. The monthly rate is very reasonable. A 5 STAR rating is not enough for this KOA.Nearby activities: ALL Forms of shopping are less than 1 mile away. Food, Auto Repair, Fuel, and restaurants.Safety: Very quiet and well lit at night. Solid police presence.Walkability: Paved streets and paved side walks in public areas. All controlled walking to cross busy intersections.

I'll start by saying this was NOT a planned stop but we had confused our reservation date for a nearby State Park and ended up looking for somewhere to camp for the night and fortunately, this KOA had openings. We got a pull through, site was gravel but level. Cable TV plus wifi and while the office bragged they had super fast WIFI and there would be no issue streaming video, we found there was sufficient lag that watching anything other that youtube was difficult. All that said the place was nice. Under new management so according to employees there are some growing pains. Other than the wifi, no issues and we would stay again.

This was just an overnight stay for us, but the campground was nice. We were heading back north so we winterized and needed to use their bathrooms to shower. Everything was nice and clean. Staff very friendly. They were having a s mores night for campers and although we didn t participate from a long day of traveling, many did. It was nice to see fellow campers get together and laugh and have a good time.

We've stayed at the Starke KOA a lot, and we love it! It does feel like family. Beautiful pool, awesome nature trails. 2 laundry rooms, so there is usually empty machines available at all times. And of course the office always has quarters! Happy is always doing fun stuff for the kids & adults alike!Close to Gainesville & Jacksonville, and the new Aldi's store is right next door in the plaza. Bingo in the rec hall during the winter too.Very animal friendly & great staff! We'll be back soon!

We travel and stay at many parks around the country. We stayed here for about 3 weeks. This place was by far the most inclusive and friendly place we have had the privilege to stay. Not only did both guest and employees treat us like family, we felt like family. Add all of that to the great community events like wine and cheese Friday and you pretty much get the best camp experience possible.Side note: Our 8 year old peanut wanted to say hi to Jelly. he is going to miss you.A special thank you to Miss Phillis and Happy. You guys really know how to do this and your love shows through!

We originally were booked for 1 night on our way back home to Charleston. The forecast called for rain, so we decided to stay 1 more night, not wanting to drive in rain. They were able to accommodate that request. Both nights were quite, the site was spacious, and the staff is friendly. We enjoyed watching the swans on the lake. They have free john boat rental, but did not get a chance to use because of the rain. Easy to get to from the interstate. We would stay here again.

Wonderful KOA. Very nice pull thru spots for a quick overnight or a long stay. Facilities were all nice and clean. Easy in and out for large rigs.

Enjoyed our overnight stay. Roomy camp sites. Friendly staff. $3.00 breakfast was a treat. Only complaint is piles of dog poop on our campsite near our travel trailer. Dog leash stake was still on the campsite from the former camper.

Our first ever stay at a KOA and found it more than satisfactory. The staff escorted us to our site and ensured all services were in order. Site was sufficient size and oriented for easy pull thru with 70 foot lengthSafety: We used no facilities and left early the following morning but we felt entirely safe at this facility

This is by far the rudest owner of a koa I have ever seen, they say they have rules l, but or it seems to only apply to some but not others. Since I do not have hudge camper and are not part of the click and straight we do not fit in. The bathroom has paint falling from the dirty vents. They have wood shelf's in the shower that are full of some nasty stuff on them, the floor it brick and the showers are dirty filled with bugs. The dogs bark all day and night . The mortor cycle that people have out for display on the grass, we were told not to park on the grass. Several people do it though. Sorry would have given this place more stars but after the way the owner treated me I would never come here again. Not a very good representation of koa.

We had an amazing 4-day Labor Day holiday stay! We reserved 2 rv spots and 1 tent spot! The grandkids had a blast with "Happy" and all the activities provided. The accommodations were a 5 star from the pool to the bathrooms! The owner/managers interacted with all the campers which gave it that home away from home feel. We left there booking future weekends! Truly is about families Thank you,The Devlin's

We absolutely LOVE this KOA Campground! It is one of our favorites ever, and our second time staying there. We cannot say enough about it easy to get to, excellent customer service, and our parking spot, #84, was the BEST we ve had!! We swam in the pool, took our dogs on many walks!! This is THE campground for anyone in the area!!

The park is easy to navigate, well laid out, level site. The restroom and showers were decent. We were grateful to have an overnight stay. I certainly could not vacation here. You feel watched, closely monitored, and the amount of 'do not' signs reveals the type of management this KOA is run by. It felt assumed that I, the traveler, am an ignorant cant-think-for-myself child. This was not a relaxing atmosphere.

Staff was accommodating even though we arrived late. The deluxe cabin is quaint and functional. No issues with power, AC, plumbing. But there was dog food spilled under the couch, underwear on the master bedroom floor, the freezer thawed all our food, and the proximity of our cabin to an open gate leading to the back of a shopping center made this a place we ll not recommend. Despite the issues, the grounds are pretty nice and typical of the dozen or so KOAs we ve stayed at.
