I sent my 1985 Yamaha VMax all the way from Virginia down to Personal Cycle Service Daytona for some long overdue rehab. I've owned the bike since it was new, one of the first ones to hit the US in it's first year of production. It's been kept well over the years but as you might imagine, any piece of road iron 34 years old is going to show it's age and have a lot mechanical issues simply from it's age. When I talked to Tony, all I told him was that I wanted the bike back looking and running like new. He gave me an estimate and I signed on with high expectations. I've had this bike longer than any of my children and have some very sentimental attachment to it, so I had to be certain I could trust him to treat the old girl right. I was not disappointed when I got the bike back. It runs like clockwork and lights up the tires like it was new. The bike looks spectacular as you can see by the photos. I know how difficult it is to run down parts for machines this old but Tony has connections and a network to find whatever he needs. Needless to say a VMax is a special breed of bike and I'm sure required a lot of effort just to get up to speed on some of the unusual systems like the 4 carb V-boost. All I can say is I'm completely thrilled with all the work that PCS Daytona did and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them highly for anyone looking for high quality service or restoration work. I stopped by the shop on a recent visit and was really impressed with some of the other bikes PCS Daytona has restored, got to meet one of the mechanics and saw my bike as the carbs were being rebuilt (me pictured by my bike). The final photos as you can see show that you would be hard pressed to know this bike has 34 years on it. The bike shipped back to me in January and I put some miles on it the first day temps got into the 60's in Virginia. The bike handles and runs just like new. Great job and my thanks to Tony Foster and Personal Cycle Service Daytona. My only regret is that there aren't more than 5 stars to rate them.

Apparently PCS Daytona hasn't had much of a focus on Google reviews, so the negative remarks of one person are giving a highly inaccurate representation of the company. Check out PCS Daytona on Facebook to see far more reviews and a better depiction of them. My experience with PCS Daytona & Tony has been nothing short of amazing. I'm not sure what's more impressive, Tony and his teams bike building skills, or Tony as a human : ) He's the exact type of person I like doing business with, someone who values integrity and goes out his way to help you out. Won't go into too much detail as I'm sure Tony doesn't want more people like me around ; ) but on just a few days notice Tony drove a trailer out to me, brought my bike back to his shop & offered to store it there for me free of charge for quite an extended period of time. Really great guy! And as far as the bike goes... well I've always been more of a crotch rocket guy, this was my first non-crotch rocket bike, and I get more compliments on this one than any bike I've ever owned! The typical reaction is praise, then disbelief when I tell them what I paid to have it built! Go to Tony with a vision of what you want and he'll make it a reality (at a very affordable price)!

Over the years I have had the opportunity to require the services of Tony Foster and PCS Daytona for a few of my motorcycles. As a lover of old motorcycles, it is crucial to find a person/shop that has the knowledge of someone like Tony to repair and maintain these machines. If you are looking for a local shop to handle repairs and modifications to your bike, you have found it here...

Highly recommend if your looking for a place to service European or exotic bike (or anything else I suppose). PCS has worked on both my Panigale and Multistrada. My experience was good service, honest and enjoyable.

Tony inspected a bike I'd identifed on line, negotiated a price within budget collected and fixed its problems ready for me to use on vacation and finally handed it over to the shippers for export when I was finished.A first class job and I recommend Tony and PCS unreservedly.

This is only the second review I have ever written but I was so incensed when I read those negative reviews, I feel compelled to give an honest and true picture of Tony and his shop. I have been dealing with Tony for approx. 20 years and have brought him many of my vintage bikes and some more modern bikes for his expert touch. The quality of the work I received was simply excellent and if I thought something was not quite right, it was looked after quickly or in my case he very diplomatically showed me what I was doing wrong. Most recently with problems on my 1963 BSA RGS which by the way I had created, he dealt with suppliers in Canada and Wales UK, got parts shipped "fastest way", installed them, tested the bike, and had it ready for me in less than 2 weeks. There is no other place in Daytona Beach that would or indeed could provide this level of service. So, before you swallow some of this negative crap, try PCS and confirm for yourself the same experience I have had.

I have been riding BMW's since college and have met a lot of mechanics and wasted a lot of money on mediocrity. Have even been taken advantage of. Then I met Tony over twenty years ago. I've bought bikes from him and he's been my chief wrench ever since. You can go to the dealer and spend the big bucks and not know who is working on your bike or go to PCS. His prices are competitive. But it's the honesty and the personal relationship that makes the deal. He always brings that extra bit of knowledge, that doesn't have to be given, that so often saves you money or more importantly a heartbreak from a failure that could have been avoided. During bike week my ol' Beemer's gas cap vapor locked...called Tony and his tip worked...I got gas and avoided doing the ol' Harley thing. Price? Sometimes you get a little more than you paid for. Is he perfect? No, but he has always made a service right. Tony and his shop is simply the best. Sincerely, Mitchell Booth

I have known Tony since the late 90', he has done service on my Ducati's and also built a 900 SS resto mod for me which a enjoyed very much. Tony/PCS Daytona also has in the past handle the sale of a couple of bikes for me, so for the 20 years I have dealt with this business , never an issue with quality of work or money. Check out his FB page and see for your self. FYI; not a storage unit and not in the hood, a business complex it's more like it

Tony has been taking care of my Ducati 996 and MV Agusta F4 Senna for over ten years. I would not take my bikes anywhere else as he is honest and really good at what he does. A hard combination to find these days. Tony can work on any kind of bike but if you have a European or Japanese bike you won't find a better tech.

Tony does very good work. He and I had a minor misunderstanding but reconciled the problem. I am thorough satisfied with the work he has done on my 1965 BSA. It runs great . He has some great old bikes in his shop.

Absolutely scam artist.Dishonest, shady and crafty individual.Look out !Tony Foster ask for a lot of money for his so call repairs.Installed the cheapest head gasket with cooper spray on my beautiful CB750 cafe, he had me believed that he put a cooper head gasket.Call me when I was abroad and ask me for money constantly, 2 months laterDelivered a bike in a mall parking lot with no chance to try it before I took possession of it.As soon as I got home bike ran 10 miles then overheated a seat fell off and bend a valve. His warranty is not worth the paper.Look our th s is how that works,He does a shanty job charges a lot if money give you 30 day warranty. You have problems with the bikeYou take it backHe keeps it for 3 weeks and daysDoes a shady patch job then give your bike back only 2 days left of warrantyThen you are out of luck.He did another bike for a full engine rebuild and Dyno tune6 months I took back 3 timesStill burns oil, stalls and now engine is badOnly 100 miles in.He DOES NOT have a Dyno but he will charge you for it but will not give you a Dyno sheetWhen you confront him he rants done technical bull and acts up all offended then starts to humiliate you in front of his workers .A real piece of work this guy isLook out !

I've been taking my bikes to PCS for over a decade - Tony and his staff are very knowledgeable in all makes and models and provide service with integrity. Tony is the 'Bobby Likis' of the motorcycle world and we're lucky to have him right here in Volusia County!

My name is Richard Whitson, CCS expert formula one and unlimited superbike winner at Daytona in 1985. I can tell you that Tony knows more about motorcycles and the ways to repair them than anyone I've ever come across. I've been on bikes including race bikes for over 45 years and have seen a lot of techs but none hold a candle to Tony. If you want it fixed right the first time, get with PCS Daytona

Brought my zx7r in for a carb job to accommodate the new exhaust system installed. During the first month it was there I was told that the sparkplug boots were bad. I purchased 4 new oem, a little pricey. During the second month it was there I was informed that the brand new fuel pump and relay needed replaced. I purchased both new (again) oem, a little pricey. The 3rd month there I was told that there was a glitch in the wiring harness and that since they were working on it for free it was put on the back burner. I have already paid $600 for the carb job, so it wasn't free. The 4th month rolls along and I'm told that I need to replace the ignitor which is only 2 months old when I initially dropped off the bike. 1 week before the 5th month I emailed to have the bike assembled so I could pick it up. I brought it home, filled with gas, fired right up, over heated and stalled, obviously the carb job wasn't completed or was done incorrectly. While going through the bike to look for issues I found the new right handlebar control was damaged and a screw was inserted to stop it from free spinning, the washers in the air box are missing, there's a huge scratch in the mirror housing, a crack in the fairing at the wind screen and a clipped wire in the harness that luckily is only for the tag light. Almost 5 months in the shop, $600 for service, another several hundred replacing new parts with new parts and getting the bike back in non riding condition caused me to file a dispute with PayPal and my credit card company. I suggest that you do all communication via email and keep all of them. That's the proof you will need to prove your case. I'm thankful that I did. To avoid a headache and hassle, avoid this shop. My first clue should have been a shop in a storage unit in the hood. Hindsight is priceless for the warning and useless for the issues. During the whole dilemma the owner/mechanic had the flu 3 times according to the excuses given. Please see the attached pictures of the emails I took screenshots of.

Tony knows his bikes, especially Triumph and does quality work. Perfection takes time so patients is necessary especially if you are doing a rebuild like he did on my Triumph Thunderbird 6T. My dad's bike had been sitting for over 25 years and Tony brought it back to life! Took some time with mods and a few hiccups but overall I wouldn't trust my bike with anyone else. 400 miles on it and still running great! Much appreciated Tony!
