Great place. I received a 25% discount as a first time customer which the fellows applied without me even asking. The inside was fantastic. It was clean, had a massage chair (!!), fresh coffee, cold water, clean restroom, and breakfast bars. The gentlemen working were friendly. After my oil change, I received a thorough inspection of my car through a text message (with pictures included). I would recommend this place to everyone.

The fact that their name is Honest One Auto Care is a cruel irony. This is the second bad experience we have had with them through the Carmax Warranty Repair Pal program. The first was when they tried to claim the repair wasn t under warranty and that it would be over $700, when I called the warranty number I was informed that the shop never reached out to initiate the claim. They promptly back peddled and tried to hide the fact that they were caught in a lie and never owned up to what they tried to do. The second is when I had more warranty work to be done and was recommended over $5,000 in additional repairs. Some of the repairs were needed while others were very clearly brand new parts that were just installed within the past 6 months. They again back peddled and claimed it was based on mileage regardless of the inspection they claimed they did. I decided to do the necessary repairs myself and when I got home to take the wheels off they obviously used an air gun to put the lug nuts back on the wheels as they were all completely rounded and stripped. I checked the torque and they were torqued to well over 180 ft/lbs, almost double the spec.I will say, they did do an alignment for free as part of the process which I was willing to pay for as one of the recommended repairs.Sadly , I will never use this shop again and will continue to warn everyone I know not use them as well. Carmax is also aware of the issues and said this is not the first time they have had similar complaints about them.

I ve never felt so welcome before than I have at this establishment. I love how they have a kids area and massage chair for the guests and a shuttle. It s nice when you bring your children there s a sense of comfort that eases your time more while you wait. Also, they have a service points system for their services so you can benefit from it that as well.

This place really helped me out while on vacation when my car was in urgent need of repair. Just as their name suggests, they ARE honest. You don't see that much nowadays. Would highly recommend!

Took my car in to them a while back for a starting issue but they couldn t find the issue and the car randomly started working fine, most shops charge me the inspection fee but these guys didn t and had top notch communication. I just had my taillight fixed with them today and they were quick with the work and the communication was still top notch. Definitely recommend them!

Called on Friday and they were able to fit me in on Saturday with a pre purchase vehicle inspection. They were very thorough with detailed information & photos of the repairs that needed to be fixed immediately and ones that should be addressed later. It was well worth just over $100 for the inspection which was half the price of the local Toyota dealership. I drove over 100 miles to have this inspection performed at this shop based on a recommendation from someone and I was impressed enough to take my vehicles there for regular maintenance and repairs. Jamison my service advisor was exceptional and took time to explain everything to me. Phenomenal job.

Hi all Honest -1 is really a great place to take your vehicle I had a flat and they parched it for no charge. Any place I've ever been to they would charge me $10 or more. I was alone and had a long way to get home. The guy who patched my tire did an amazing job I felt safe driving home. He was kind & quick at what he did. Frank Laroche was very kind and honest & had a great smile. This place is very nice, top notch and very professional crew. I will go back again , They even have snacks water for free. Their sitting area is very nice they make you comfortable & feel good about what they do for your vehicle. I highly recommend Honest-1 Avis Council

So, Honest-1 has been hounding me for a review for the past couple of days, since I picked up my car from them after having no actual work done on it.The good:"Thanks for not charging me a $200 diagnosis fee, even though you still did the end to end inspection, *even though* I only asked you to replace 2 specific things on my vehicle."The rest:Once the car was given the once over, I was presented with a laundry list of issues that my car needed done. The grand total was north of $15,000. I picked the 2 items that I wanted done, and approved those charges.Instead of doing what I wanted, I was asked "well, what's your *budget*?" Sorry, my budget is what I told you I wanted done. It's not some number that you need to build your kid's college fund from.After I pushed back on a "budget", I was given a rather long text response from them:"With the high mileage, keep in mind ... Many shops will not take on these vehicles because they can cause us as many problems as this vehicle causes you. You may have more than one problem with your vehicle. As we start working on your vehicle, things may break simply because of age or mileage that we cannot be held responsible for. Our technicians are very good and they take their time but things happen. We estimated as well as we can but you need to be prepared for other costs. Even after we are done, you might pick up the car and other conditions may arise. We will help you with those conditions if we can."At that point, I decided that it was time to remove my vehicle from their custody.I found a different chain that would do the work I asked them to do, for about $1000 less. That price difference seems to be a theme, as well. It's about 1/3 more than the other place I go to, and is consistent on other repairs listed, as well.So, not only is it an extremely high pressure sale, with a "how much money are you planning to give us", but they overcharge for it, as well.I do not plan on ever talking, dealing, or interacting with them ever again. And, I was planning on not leaving a review, because there really was no point.But, they *really* asked for one.Have a wonderful day, and a great new year.

I had the best experience here. They did a great job on the repairs I needed done. Prices were reasonable. They have a shuttle so you don t have to wait there. I recommend their services and will spread the word to all. Thanks!

I want to start off by saying how great Honest-1 treats their customers. I ve been a long term customer for over five years, and all of the work I get on my car is quality and reliable. Upon dropping your vehicle off, Honest 1 works diligently to provide you a comprehensive inspection of your vehicle that is displayed in a highly professional and detailed manner. These inspection reports review all components within the vehicle, even if it s unrelated to the problem you may be experiencing. These reports have detailed explanations, with pictures, to explain specific issues wrong with your car. Honest 1 is very supportive with loyal customers ! In the last week, Honest 1 has helped me fix numerous things in my vehicle such as AC components, a power steering fluid change, tire alignment, oil change, and numerous other things. If you go in, ask for Brad or JW. These two are very respectful, committed, communicative, passionate, and helpful individuals. If you happen to work with a different individual here, they also meet these standards. Above all, integrity is something they strive to have. They are very knowledgeable and helpful when it comes to fixing you car. I recommend giving Honest 1 a shot when you need some work done on your car. As a student, they offer student discounts to help with costs, and treat you with kindness as if you were family.

10/10 would recommend this location!I showed up at 8 am on 3/23 with 2 kids under 2. Everyone was very helpful & upfront about pricing and timing. JW was amazing & their courtesy driver was super helpful & happy to help. I was also updated about the repairs & progress throughout the day. The entire experience couldn t have gone smoother.

My tech Jamison Barkdoll was an absolute professional! He got my vehicle in and out extremely fast while writing up a very comprehensive list of repairs for now and the future accompanied by photos and arrows showing the problem areas with descriptions of what everything did and why it should be fixed. I can't say enough good things about this place and Jamison, he really took great care of a client he had never met before and I would go back there time and time again. 5/5 stars!

I took my vehicle to Honest-1 Auto Care on Saturday June 17, 2023. During my visit I overheard the staff talking about a mechanic being upset that he broke something in someone's vehicle and he needed to go get lunch and cool off. I later found out he had accidentally broken my coolant bypass hose. The staff was quick to give me a loaner vehicle and they ordered the new part and fixed the car which was appropriate. I then go in to pick up my vehicle on Monday June 19th. After I pay for their services I then leave to get my car from their lot. As I was approaching my vehicle I noticed they have it parked over the curb on one side which I found odd, inappropriate, and unprofessional. I enter my vehicle to find the windshield is cracked. I bring it to the attention of the staff and they spend the next 15 minutes telling me it "100% did not happen because of them" which is something they 100% cannot tell me. They show me pictures of the vehicle in the garage that show the windshield wasn't cracked previous to being parked in their parking lot....which essentially proves that the crack did indeed happen on their watch and under their care. One staff member went out to look at the vehicle and he mentioned there was an impact where the glass cracked and its possible a rock hit it. The staff member then said "I'm not saying it's the case but it could be preexisting conditons" so naturally they run with this story. They then were becoming angry with ME and raising their voice at ME!! They did not help remedy the situation at all or even offer an apology. They simply would not take accountability. I would not come here again and I wouldn't recommend trusting them with your car. I think it is also important to mention I am a woman.

I have NOT had a repair done here, but eventually I will (and I will update my review then) and here is why:1) They are willing/able to do the big scary jobs no one else will do, like rear end differential rebuilds or replacement, or rear end seal replacements (which requires removal of the transmission).2) if you actually do not need the big costly repairs, they won't sell it to you. They pay close attention to detail during diagnostics & they physically show you and explain the problem.3) the waiting area is really nice. There's snacks and various forms of entertainment, with a camera monitor to look into the garage if desired.The quote for the issue is a little higher than what my car lot says it should be BUT I'm pretty sure that includes a warranty on the repair. I also saw you get a complimentary vehicle inspection with every repair, which is priced $75 elsewhere. So to me, it seems worth it. My car lot is covering the repairs for now, but like I said, once they are no longer doing that I will definitely be giving my business here!

I needed the intake manifold on my 2002 Crown Victoria replaced. I'd been deferring it for months but this past Sunday July 9 it would not hang on any longer. I managed to limp it to my Honest 1 location in South Daytona and drop the keys in the overnight box with a note to call me in the morning. They called me promptly at 7:40 am on Monday and I apprised them of the situation. They were upfront about the cost and parts source. My car was back up and running in like new condition by 5pm that day. They even saved me $400 on the original estimate. They do great work and I trust these guys thoroughly. One of the techs, Jameson, knows the car is kind of my baby because despite its advanced age it's in exceptional condition. He makes doubly sure it's treated with kid gloves. I highly recommend these guys. They are top notch professionals.

Awesome service at a very good price. I was able to get a next day appointment as a first time customer. They were able to take care of my maintenance in the same visit. Waiting room was clean and had plenty of water, coffee and snacks available.

Honest 1 offers valuable shuttle service. Repairs are done in exceedingly time frame to get you back on the Rd. While the repairs and some parts are high they are adequate with their warranty policies . Among possible contracts they may have on parts. If you have multiple repairs needed they offer the what has to be done over what you can wait on. This is and asset. More so for travelers. Due to warranties check your area to see if they have services their. Time will tell on repairs. As with any serves providers. I welcomed their feedback it was most helpful. I would love to have honest 1 in my home state. Maybe someday.

Everyone I dealt with at Honest-1 Auto Care (Daytona) was knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Although they found a few issues during the inspection, other than what I originally came in for (all non-emergency), they were not pushy and did not pressure me into having the extra repairs done. I would recommend Honest-1 Auto Care.

The driver s side window regulator had failed, allowing the window to drop into the door and become inoperable. It was Friday afternoon and no garage in which to perk the car overnight with an open window.The guys at Honest-1 came to the rescue, managed to fix the window and finished the job by 5:30pm.The environment reflects their professionalism, spotless, large waiting room, everything well cared for as is the garage.If you want a job done right, this is the place!

Went to honest 1, my car wouldn't accelerate....the charged me $200 for the diagnostic without doing a single thing!Sent me home with $2500 to repair the car, I was so disappointed!!!A friend recommended Rich Wilkins in Holly Hill and ***boom*** he blessed me with a miracle and cleaned 2 spark plugs $30.00Don't allow these people to RIP YOU OFF!!!!!(

This was a great experience! It was easy to make an appointment on their website and the people were friendly and helpful. The problem with my car was diagnosed quickly and I was provided with an accurate estimate of the cost to fix it. Service was completed within a couple of hours. Much better service than I have experienced at other places!

We would like to thank Frank and the crew for helping us get home today. While leaving the Keys coming home had a issue with our Turbo on on truck, while a dealership in New Smyrna totally disregarded our situation on getting home and said they "could look at in a few days" Frank and his shop said come on by and let's see how we can help, they put us as a priority and diagnosed the problem and had us on our way in a couple of hours. WOULD HIGHLY recommend their shop.

If I could give them 10 stars, I would. We were visiting Daytona Beach from Athens, Ga and our air conditioner stopped working on our drive there. I knew I did not want to drive the 7 hours home without it, so I researched places to take the car to because I didn't want to use a dealership. Honest-1 was one of the first places that caught my eye. After reading the reviews we decided to go with them. The location is very clean, neat, and plenty of things to do. Luckily with us being on vacation, they offered us a free shuttle and they took us back to our condo to enjoy the day at the beach. They took care of my car and were very informative. They picked us up when it was ready and brought us back. It was a very smooth process and we HIGHLY recommend them!

I find it very odd to see all the reviews of great service! I spent nearly 1700$ In repair work for them to return my car to me 3 times saying it was fixed! I told them that my 2000 Honda Accord randomly would stall when ever I drove it any further than work and home and back. The first time they said it was fixed they returned it to my place of work I went to the parking lot they said they replaced the alternator and the battery and some hoses before they drove off I tried to start my car and guess what it wouldn t start I had to flag them and said it s not fixed they took it back to the shop and said the alternator had drained the battery and I would have to buy a new battery after I had just purchased a really great battery and I said No I had a warranty and I had a friend pick up my battery from the shop exchange it take it back to Honest 1where they yet again said you re car is done! A week later I was stranded on the side of the road AGAIN! I called them due to the warranty agreement any work done between a time line they have to honor it In hindsight I was stupid to send my car back to same place yet again! I m a single mom and they already got nearly 1700$ out of me and I needed my car fixed!! They were fixing to close and got a attitude about the free towing service needless to say the car went back! I explained to them that it was random and it only stalled if I drove further away from work or made multiple stops and the fact it s random just because it started for them doesn t mean they fixed the problem After 3-4 Times at Honest 1 Clearly I was going to eat that money because the problem still exists they never fixed my car and they made me feel like I was the problem they got paid though and I just got a still broke car that randomly stalls!! Thanks for absolutely nothing and the more I have spoken to other mechanics they say that most of their repairs are from people who used their auto repair shop! This was probably my Best experience with an auto repair facility ever! Everyone so professional & pleasant. It s unfortunate that i don't live in Daytona because everyone in my family would be taking their cars to them. I will try the location where i live though because of my Experience. If i could give 10 stars i would . EXCELLENT!!

Came here from out of town due to ABS and traction control lights coming on 20 minutes into our trip. The staff took great care of us, honest work, and even made an extra trip to pick us up due to our Uber dropping us off at the wrong location. Thank you Honest-1!

I've been to this particular shop 3 times within 3 months time, and each time they've done right by me.The only gripe I've got is they are a bit expensive, but you're getting excellent service so it evens out. And should you be shy on funds they have credit options available so you don't have to immediately break your piggy bank.

This was my first time dealing with this company.It was a awesome speedy diagnosis of why my check engine light was on.And belivev it or not the problem was repaired and I was back on the road 2 hours before end of business the sameday.Everyone I seen and talked to are over the top polite and professional.Most knowledgeable auto repair shop I have ever seen,and I've seen many in my 62 years.
