Second time at the shalimar office.....I can't say enough about this dmv. My husband has dementia, and everything is a chore. For the patience and the professionalism of the staff, I truly appreciate their help.

I want to thank Tamika pleasant demeanour customer service agent at Shalimar Tax office, she sits closest to the check in window. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. She knows her job very well and does it with grace. Thanks for your guidance which aided me in getting my license. God bless you

If every government organization could operate as politely and efficiently as this one, our nation would be in a much better place. I am blown away at the courtesy and streamlined processes this place has implemented.Specifically, the DMV and the Veterans department.

I needed a new DL and some car titles switched over to Florida. Maria took this challenge on and explained everything, while it took a bit, I knew it would as this wasn't a simple process. The time spent from checking in to VIN verification was really simple and faster than I originally thought. Big shout out to Maria! I've been to my share of DMVs and this place by far is the best yet, the online appointments are wonderful for those folks on the go.

1st impressions.Location easy to find, only 3 story building near the water tower.They do not have reservations for vehicle/drivers licenses services but when you get there, there is good amount of people to serve you. My wait time was about 15 minutes. The person who helped me was very good and cheerful. My transaction was done right & quickly. I would go back to this location in the future.

This is probably the most unpleasant place to visit when it comes to tax collectors. I've had to make multiple trips to this location due to improper guidance from supervisors and I've wasted hours on hours here.. This last trip to them almost ended in another 3 hour visit with nothing accomplished until I noticed the supervisor that stated word for word what I needed. Even after going over what was told the last visit they tried to deny the services I needed until I demanded it be done. There is no communication and their staff are rude an incompetent. The blonde that handled my title services was rude from the beginning to the end, she needs more training and the supervision would be more efficient if they worried about their services they are supposed to provide more than checking temperatures. I would recommend going to another location if you're able to.

I grew up in California where going to the DMV is an experience dreaded by all. The Okaloosa County vehicle department is absolutely the opposite. I have been going to this office for 23 years now and I have never had a bad experience. My sincere thanks to all of the professional help you have given me over the years!

The young lady at the first desk 16 was so sharp and her tone was harsh with me. I asked her if she was having a bad day. She said no so l told her l didn't like how she was speaking to me. I tried to call a manager about this but was on hold for an hour. Found l had to go back to DMV she was there l was prepared. I asked her why again , she said its just business. I then dropped a box of laxatives on her desk told her she really needed it and left.!!!

The gentleman that helped us in the Passport Office made very unprofessional comments about the fact I have been married more than once. Especially in front of my children. I was very embarrassed by the whole encounter

I was blown away by how quickly I was taken care of and how friendly the employees were. I moved here from Las Vegas, where average wait times are about 3 hours (and friendliness is tough to come by); I was seen in under 3 minutes and assisted by a very pleasant and helpful young lady. This was hands-down the best/easiest DMV experience of my life.

Absolutely one of the best DMV experiences ever! The gentleman that helped us walked us through transferring titles, obtaining new drivers licenses, and even changing our voter registration. He sat with us for over an hour and made sure everything was correct. So thorough and pleasant!

Wow. Someone actually picks up the phone here! My husband spoke to April who was hands down, the nicest DMV employee he has ever dealt with (in 3 states). She was able to address a problem in a few minutes and advise a solution; no bureaucratic BS, and really nice too. New York State should send their DMV folks down here for a lesson in customer service. Why be nasty when nice works just fine? Good job, April!

They re were absolutely amazing! I got there at 9:25am to transfer my out of state DL to Florida and I got out of there with my Florida DL in less than 30min. She was very efficient, friendly and helpful at cabin 7. Thank you!

They charged me a $150 fine for not having insurance on a parked vehicle that was not being used on the road. Very low IQ individuals. DMV is full of robbers. Looking for money. Bleeding us citizens dry. Why do we have to register a vehicle every year and pay ridiculous amounts for it?

Gone are the days of 3hr DMV waits...I told my ride to leave me because it might take awhile and had to call them back within 30 mins. Had to get my license reinstated and it was quick and painless. Very impressed!

Came in to get a title printed. Apparently if you re military and need to renew your registration or need a new tag the triage person will do it so you skip the line of people who have been patiently waiting. I have been skipped 6 times.

I have had to come here multiple times. Seriously the WORST Customer Service I have ever experienced. They do not try to help you and they are completely rude. Every time I have had a different person and they are all just as unhelpful. Finally decided to go to another DMV. Honestly not sure why they don't allow you to give zero stars LOL.

If you moved here and are registering your vehicle and your birthday is a couple weeks away they ll charge you for a full years registration and give you tags that expire in a month. Got my new plates today and already have to renew my registration and pay again. Would have been nice to know while I was there for 3 hours today.

I went to get a FL license as i ve just established residency and I called ahead to make sure I had the correct documents and was told by someone in the phone I didn t need to have my birth certificate if i had mail addressed to me, my old license and social security card, drove 30 minutes away just to be told that I did in fact need my birth certificate. The woman that helped me was rude and there s no way to make an appointment for later so i ve wasted my time and gas for nothing.

Great experience today. We went to the DMV for my daughter's permit and helped by Crystal E. We shamefully didn't have everything we needed, but Crystal went above and beyond to help. I couldn't believe a government agency was so helpful!

Happy Birthday, go to the DMV. Do not pass go, do not collect $200. Maybe a root canal instead? NOT AT THIS PLACE! This is the nicest, cleanest, FASTEST, most pleasant, most helpful government office I have ever been in. When we moved to the area it was one stop for all our tags, boats, driver's license updates, the works. And get this, THEY'RE NICE! Actual people who actually like their job and actually care about their customers (that's right, we were customers, not cattle). Not enough room on this page to say nice things about this office.

They have everyone piled up in a hallway waiting 2 hours to get in the door. How is this better than before? No information in any sort of clear way that helps anyone so you better know what you are doing or paperwork you need going in cause they aren t going to help you. Next appoint is 2 months from now. Government mandated taxes and fees made as difficult as possible to pay.

Super easy to get our out of state title transferred and new tag! Wish they could process vintage Florida tags for vintage cars here instead of a requirement to send it all to Tallahassee, that does not make any sense....

Went in yesterday super stressed out, especially because these types of places usually can be a pain but I had it all wrong this time. The woman that helped me, K.J., made everything a breeze. She was somehow super friendly yet extremely efficient and she got everything sorted out for me in no time at all. Seriously, someone has to give her a raise. I'm rating this place 5 stars because I can't imagine how a trip to the county tax collector could have went any better. I came in stressed and I left happy.

I m at work before they open and I don t get home until after they close and they re closed on the weekends. I had to miss work for a few hours to get tags renewed. I get here early and get my ticket and sat down. They have 4 maybe 5 booths open with people walking around talking and drinking their coffee. Get in a booth and help get people back to work. I ve never seen this place with every booth being used
