Dropped my 2017 Jeep off with Tom. Spent time talking to me in detail about the issues I was experiencing. I thought for sure it was a transmission issue. Tom checked it out took it for a couple of test drives checked all the codes. Transmission is fine. Gave me all kinds of information. When I asked what I owed him it was $0.00!! Stand up guy that does the right thing. Fair assessment of the car. If I need something looked at in the future better believe I will be back.

If I could give more stars I would! I ve been having a transmission nightmare for months and was referred to Snyders by my new mechanic. I only wish I would have known about them sooner! Tom got me right in and they figured out my issue! I spoke with Tom and Phil a couple times each and they were both honest, knowledgeable, kind, patient and determined to help get my Jeep running properly and safely . I can t sing their praises enough!

Stopped in for quote over a year ago wanted 5200.00 for new transmission. Was told I shouldn't be driving it. After arguing with owner who said he had been in Business for 40 years and couldn't believe I was questioning him. I went home got online did some research found that this was common for Ford f 150. I put shudder fix in transmission I have not had a problem since it cost me ten dollars for repair. .

Very pleased with the complete rebuild of my transmission, replacement of my motor mounts and replacement of the y exhaust. All the repairs were completed in the promised time frame. Excellent job by the team at Snyders Transmission!

I had my car worked on at Snyder's and the check engine light for oil pressure came on about two weeks later. I went into Snyder's and as a woman - I was scared. I thought it would be a big bill at Christmas. Tom and Mark helped me and investigated the issue until it was resolved. They put oil in my car - and didn't even charge me. It was just super. Thank you guys for taking care of a damsel in distress. I kind of felt stupid. But they were both very kind and understanding! Outstanding customer service!

Took my car in because of some slipping in the trans. Tom and his shop performed some diagnostics on it and it came up that I was a few quarts low on fluid but had no leaks.They topped it off and ran the diagnostics free of charge and had me out the door and on the road.They are an honest shop and don t push repairs that aren t necessary. In the unfortunate event of my transmission actually needing service I ll be taking it to them before any of the other shops in the area.

Got us in and out! They rebuilt our transmission in under a week. Hard to find honest, hard working people anymore. This place I will recommend to anyone who needs their transmission rebuilt.

Tom was so great today. I thought I had a transmission leak but he told me it was a water pump. He showed me all the evidence on the lift. I really appreciated his knowledge and honesty. I would highly recommend them. Transmissions is all they specialize in. They also did not charge me a dime for their time and diagnosis. Thank you Tom and God bless. I was referred to Snyder's for an issue that someone believed was related to the transmission. Tom listened to my problem and ran a diagnostic free of charge. He knew it didn't sound like a transmission issue and it wasn't! They don't work on what I need, but I would go back in a heartbeat for transmission work. They know what they're doing.

I had a rebuilt transmission installed at Snyders 2 1/2 years ago . It came with a 2 year 24000 mi warranty. I only put on 8100 mi and had a terrible noise when I manually put it in 3rd instead of drive,which I would do to pull a trailer. I took it to Tom and he told me its out of warranty but bring it in and they would pull it out to see what it may be ,then give me a price for whatever it needed that they couldn't cover. If it was something I didn't want to do because it's a 1998 with 248000 miles on it they would put it back in at no charge. I thought that was a good deal on their part. They called the next day and it was repaired , it was only the neutral position switch that was the problem that caused the starter to engage with the flywheel when i pulled it down to 3rd. Very honest of Tom, didn't try to tell me it was the transmission and charge a whole lot more. Was very happy with the honesty

At last I found an honest, highly knowledgeable professional in the field. The pro crew at Snyder Transmissions found the problem with my 2005 Honda CR-V transmission and solved it. I just so happened that it was a minor issue and even though they could have easily taken advantage of someone that knows little to nothing about this stuff, they were honest and chose the road less traveled; principle and kindness over money. He will be my transmission guy forever forward and should be yours as well if you value and support honest hard working small local business. Thanks guys!

Worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life. Guy in the front office should be fired for the way he talks to people. Rude, disgraceful, borderline harassment. Dude really should see a psychiatrist. It's not normal to talk to people like that.

Excellent, professional, honest, quick service! I brought my 20yo car in not really sure what was wrong with it. Tom and team diagnosed/pinpointed the alternator as the problem. I highly recommend you use Snyder's Transmission as your local car mechanic!

I was advised by a previous auto shop that my car needs to be looked at by an establishment that does CVT transmission. I looked through Google and decided to call Snyders due to their reviews. I left a voicemail and received a call back within 10 minutes or so. I spoke with Tom. He was very courteous over the phone and provided information on how to get my car in. I dropped my car off the same day and received a call back that afternoon on my diagnostic. Again, he was super helpful and explained his findings, as I am not well versed in car mechanics. My car had serious drivability issues and I was afraid I needed an expensive transmission repair. I chose to go to Snyder's based on the positive reviews I found during a Google search. The gentleman behind the counter was on the phone and I heard him say he would give an honest opinion. Tongue in cheek, I said that I would like an honest opinion. After a quick diagnostic, I was sent next door because the problem was engine related. The shop next door found a bunch of mis-routed vacuum lines from a recent repair done at a Tire shop chain. They fixed my car quickly and I was back on the road.I am so impressed with both Snyder's and Hobson and will be taking future business there as well.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I had car trouble and thought it might be transmission so I brought it to Snyders. They checked it out and advised the transmission was fine. I think a lot of businesses would tell me SOMETHING needed to be done, so I appreciated the honesty. The owner is pretty crusty and challenged me repeatedly and unnecessarily when I was telling what the car was doing, but since he was so honest about the car being fine, I am giving 5 stars.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Snyders Transmission is the place to go. These guys know Tranys. They put a new transmission in my 2011 cadillac escalade. Had it back in no time. They have a great warranty on it and Tom was the man. Thanks guys.

Tom and his crew had my Civic overnight for what I suspected as a transmission problem. After diagnosing it, he let me know there was nothing wrong with the transmission and graciously pointed me in the right direction as to what was actually wrong. They were kind and timely. Tom was wonderful. He had my truck checked out for a slipping complaint. It would have been a great opportunity for upsell . After their test drive was done, they took the time to explain the nature of this Ford truck s transmission. I, typically a Honda owner and the auto trans performance is so different. Bottom line - there was no fee for the time they spent on my concern. And much patience is educating me about the newly purchased used truck.Service: Transmission

!!! IF YOU ARE FEMALE DO NOT GO HERE!!! We had a serious car emergency and the male i reached on the phone to book an appointment spoke with the rudest tone and made me feel inferior when talking about auto work. Go to AAMCO down the road!! Much better service and way nicer people, who helped me immediately!!!

I d like to thank Tom the manager for taking time to explain in detail of the issue that came about with my transmission in the process of repairing it. Being an out of town and just recently having it rebuilt from my hometown and it s failing Tom was able to fit me in in a timely fashion so I could continue down the road. I d like to thank Mr. Snyder as well as Ed The transmission technician on easing my mind of choosing Snyder transmission as being a reliable repair shop. Tom and his staff are top notch! Very nice and accommodating. I called and discussed an issue I was having with my truck. Tom was kind enough to diagnose immediately. I drove the truck over and he was able to determine the issue. The problem turned out not to be transmission related, however Tom was kind enough to identify the issue and provide a referral. My initial contact was with Tom. I explained the issue I was having with my Jeep in which he said they would gladly take a look at it. Tom arranged for my vehicle to be towed to the shop which it was within the first hour of our phone conversation. The next day Tom contacted me and explained what the problem was.The work was done quicker than expected and done right. I highly recommend Snyders Transmissions. After trying to solve a shudder issue on a 2018. F150 with tires and plugs I contacted Snyders for their opinion. With a history of pulling a trailer thru mountains in summer heat Tom thought it could be the transmission and took it for two test drives. Fortunately the transmission was working fine but a cylinder was intermittently misfiring. Tom was very friendly, explained.possible solutions and charged me nothing for the test drive that diagnosed the problem.

Owner took over 1/2 hour of his time to run codes & find what was wrong with my 20 year old Aviator. Printed the issues out for me and took the time to explain what needed to be done. EXCELLENT service and thank you for your time, no charge and kindness

I called today and was trying to get help for my Jeep Wrangler I am new to the area and I do not know much about cars and I was recommended to this business. First time I called I had left a voicemail just explaining what was going on with my jeep and needing someone to take a look at it. I never received a call back so i called back a few hours later and a man answered I did not catch his name and I started explaining to him what was wrong and he replied I got your voicemail and it seems like you re wanting me to diagnose it just so you can do it yourself and I don t have the time to do that when I have a lot of work load. I m a young girl in the area by herself I have no idea where to even begin doing anything to my jeep myself I just needed help and guidance of what to do and more then likely would ve paid money to have them fix it there but not after being talked to the way I was

Thankfully there are many other Transmission companies to work on my car. I called and explained the issue with my car... but the man on the phone was very condescending and rude. He even said he didn't understand what I meant by "slipping". I thought that was unusual... not the sharpest tool in the shed. Avoid - or you probably will regret.
