Took my car in for a check engine light. It was throwing a code for the cam shaft sensor, so they replaced it and never checked my fluids. I had taken it in there 2 other times in the last year, so they knew when my last oil change was and everything. So, a few days after the sensor was replaced, my car was still throwing a code for that sensor. After a quick Google search, I found out that low oil can make that sensor malfunction. So I called the shop. Asked them exactly what they replaced to make sure it was the same thing as my code reader was saying, and it was. So then I asked if they checked my oil or any fluids while it was in their shop. They said no because it wasn't related to the sensor. So I will never know if they replaced a perfectly good sensor or not. Mind you, my car ended up being low 3 quarts of oil. So once I got the oil added, all was fine. But I need to check to see why I was so low, either leaking or burning, and made an appointment elsewhere. In the meantime, I'm driving it to Tampa and back for work, and on my way home about 2 days later, my car says it's overheating. I had to put water in the radiator to drive it to the other garage to have to look at it and fixed. This could have been a huge expense if my engine overheated and burned up because of no oil or coolant. I would think if you brought a vehicle in for a check engine line or really anything for that matter, you would check fluids. Geez, I got new tires on 2 weeks later and the tire place checked my fluids! Anyway, I'm not saying it's a bad shop, but I had a not so great experience that almost cost me a lot more. My total repairs in the end were quite significant, but I didn't trust them now to do that work, so I went elsewhere.

This review is well overdue, was told my truck was junk and it's not worth repairs, also after the last time I got my truck serviced they took it to another shop for an alignment and a BOLT was forgotten on the tire rod and I almost died going down 102nd as my tire all of the sudden collapsed into itself mid drive, my tire tread was ruined from driving with the tires skipping down the road and the best they could do was offer me tires at COST. So I was left with no choice but to buy them, which I initially did not need.I certainly don't regret getting into DIY automotive and for the record MY TRUCK ROCKS NOW especially since I work on it and top gun doesn't. My car went from photo #1 to photo #2 I personally fixed everything wrong with the vehicle for under $300.All I got from this place was a rear view camera installed, an insult and the bright the idea to work on my own cars. So I guess in the end it worked out. 1 star for customer service and thoroughness though. Another store that is on Seminole Boulevard that really doesn't belong there.

Took my vehicle there for my last oil change and today I took my vehicle for it's next oil change to a different place where they showed me my oil filter and told me there is no way they changed my oil filter during the previous oil change which makes me wonder if I even got the oil that I paid for I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone

Attention all Canadians - Highly recommend after the drive down for any car issues. We asked our condo management team for a recommendation and were given Top Gun Automotive. So glad they did. They fixed our vehicle the same day and even picked us up and dropped us off in the legendary Ghostbusters car. What a riot. Ralph the owner could not have been nicer and more honest. The office team was excellent to deal with and so were mechanics. They got us running the same day at a reasonable honest price and that is what is important these days! 10 out of 10!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Top Gun is phenomenal. They've gone out of their way for me on too many occasions to count, and while they may give me a sideways look each time I bring them another huge project, they do it and do it well. They are complete goofballs, and they are wonderful.

1-30-24: Very loud sound coming from an air compressor being emptied almost every day around 6:30. It s so loud you can hear the sound blocks away A bit of consideration for the homeowners living within feet of your business would be very appreciated.

Was from Indiana and noticed a revolution creaking noise getting worse as we arrived, they got to us promptly and they diagnosed a constant velocity joint going bad, they made the repairs that day and had us back on the road to head home with confidence . They were very personable, and courteous to us, I have worked in the automotive service industry for over 35 years and know the level of respect and integrity is hard to find these days, but this place is a class act, thank you for getting us up and going so quickly . & sM.J. I've been using Top Gun (and A-1 before them) to keep my stable of Detroit classics (1992 Lincoln, 1998 Mustang, 2001 Ford F-150, and 2004 Sedan deVille) in top form. The work is always top-notch and the prices reasonable, the office staff (Dodie and a delightful collection of office dogs) is wonderful, and in the rare occasion when something has gone wrong they've made it right. I had to have my car towed and chose Top Gun Automotive and I m so happy that I did! They made it very convenient with a night drop for my keys and I felt very safe leaving it there overnight. The mechanic, David, reached out first thing Monday morning so I could explain the issue, and he quickly assured me that he would run diagnostics and take care of the problem which we believed to be the starter. Within a couple of hours, the owner, Ralph, personally reached out to me to confirm it was indeed the starter and gave me a very reasonable and fair price. A couple hours later, I received a call from their very friendly office staff, a lady named Dodie, to let me know my car was ready for pick up. I will be needing tires in the very near future and will definitely go back to Top Gun for all my automotive needs!! After performing a diagnostic scan on my car they told me it was too complex and they would not be able to fix it. When I when to pick it up I was surprised to find out they were going to charge me for the diagnostics, considering the issue was with their inability to diagnose the problem. After picking the vehicle up I turned to Google where I was able to find the problem and fix it myself. Too bad I didn't do that in the first place.

One of the gentlemen from here pulled along side of of me at the light to let me know that my tail light was completely out. He told me to stop by and they would help me. I wasn t risking getting pulled over so I dropped my daughter off at school and headed straight there this morning and they got me in right away. They had one of the bulbs but not the other. They ended up going to pick up the bulb I needed and just replacing both tail lights for me. They were beyond professional, affordable, timely, and bonus points for meeting the cutest sweetest chihuahuas! The boss man s dog was there as well looking like a gentleman and a scholar . 10/10 recommend.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Looked for a specialist on Facebook and was recommended this shop. Let me tell you the excellent professional these folks have! The whole light system was out in the back of the car and not only did I get a call back first thing in the morning, it was done within a few hours and the price was right! We were down here from Ohio and realized while here our brakes were completely gone- like metal to metal Grundig gone. Lesson learned to remember to check before leaving on vacation. Ugh but this place got us in same day since we were leaving the next day. They were nice...helpful...quick and fast to get the work done. It was just the back two brakes and we dropped it off and picked it up within a couple hours!! I'd definitely go back to them again!Service: Brakes

Had my brake pads and rotors replaced two months ago by Top Gun. They work great! Carry a lot of weigh in my van so I needed it done right. Also fixed oil leak coming from engine area which was not easy to find. I appreciate their commitment to quality. Thank You

Had an oil change done today on my work van and I will never go anywhere else again. I drove away feeling like I finally had a good mechanic work on one of my vehicles. The tech was very honest and you can tell he takes pride in his work. He looked over the whole van before it came off the lift, a ton more than I've ever seen done. This place has the wrong name on their building!! They give false diagnostics and don't even check everything you ask them to check for you! They will send you on your way and say there is nothing wrong with your vehicle when there is clearly an issue would not go back nor recommend this place to anyone!!
