I recently had the pleasure of working with Dan Guthrie, at Sarasota Subaru where I purchased a Forester. During the time I spent at the dealership Dan s professionalism and genuine kindness stood out. Dan took the time to understand my needs and preferences and patiently answered all my questions. Unlike some salespeople who push aggressively, Dan struck the perfect balance guiding me through the options without any pressure, allowing me to make an informed decision. He was forthright about pricing, financing, and available features. His honesty and kindness made the entire process stress-free. When it came to test drives, Dan ensured I felt comfortable behind the wheel. He ensured that I drove the car at different speeds on different kinds of roads so there were no surprises with how it handles.Overall, Dan Guthrie exemplifies what a great car salesman should be: friendly, knowledgeable, and committed to customer satisfaction. My experience with this Subaru dealer has been positive. They were not at all "pushy" during the sales process. They did not hound me with phone calls or emails or text messages. I appreciate that. The primary sales person I dealt with, (Karen Menendez) was courteous, competent and professional. This dealership has one gentleman (Matt) that is assigned to educating the customer about the various operations and functions of the car. With today's cars, that is a particularly nice service. Shortly after the purchase, I did engage the service department to install a trailer hitch. Both of the gentlemen that I dealt with in service and parts were excellent. I will use this dealership for dealer=required service.. I would recommend this car dealership.

Wonderful car buying experience. I will be happy to spend my money at this dealership any time. Andrew took great care of my husband and me, while buying our new Subaru WRX. As soon as we entered the lobby we got good vibes. The dealership also partners with a local animal shelter and hosts adoptions days. What a wonderful feeling knowing we are buying a great car and supporting a caring and professional dealership. This is hands down my best car buying experience at a dealership. I had to opportunity to deal with salesman Bill. He was honest, patient and excellent knowledge of the product we were purchasing.I would highly recommend Subaru of Sarasota without reservations'. Sales dept. for add on purchases returned my calls immediately, and I had a delightful conversation today with the manager. You can't go wrong if you are in the market for a Subaru and come to Sarasota Subaru. The entire staff was excellent from beginning to driving the car out the door..But remember ask for Bill..

Excellent service. We had a problem with our Forester while vacationing in the area. Frank diagnosed the problem and they took it in right away and had the problem fixed in a few hours. We really appreciated being treated so well and highly recommend Sarasota Subaru.

I am so happy I bought a Subaru. Not only is it a great car to drive, but the safety features are amazing. The Sarasota Subaru dealership and service center are the best. They do a great job keeping up with the maintenance on my Subaru. They never try to upsell me, they are efficient so I am not waiting to long. Checking in and out is easy, friendly, and professional. I really don't expect things to change. Thank you!

OIL LEAK! BEWARE!!! Paid a $1489 restoration fee. I was told the car was thoroughly inspected to meet the dealership standard. Only to find days later the car has a very clear oil leak. It is impossible to miss. VERY disappointed.Update: do the right thing and fix the oil leak that should have been included in the $1489 restoration fee.

I had the most amazing car buying experience at Sarasota Subaru! Mike my sales rep and Marcus my sales manager along with the rest of the team went above and beyond to get me into my certified used Subaru in under 3hrs. I came in with low credit and a small down payment and they made my dream of becoming a Subaru owner a reality with a low monthly payment! I am now able to drive my daughter around safely and affordably thanks to the team!! I am forever grateful!

Dealing with Sarasota Subaru was a very positive experience. I was easily able to come to an agreement on price and we took care of most of the details over the phone. When it came time to sign the paperwork they had everything ready when I arrived and I was out the door in a relatively short period of time. I would highly recommend them.

I called to cancel a extended warranty that I got through this dealership after i sold my vehicle that i purchased for these guys, and the person transferred me to the finance department person no one seems to never answer or be available after calling multiple multiple multiple times but when you want to buy a vehicle they run to you so that they can making a killing off their dealership fees, warranties and accessories really disappointed in Is there customer service. Be aware you are a short term interest to them.

Unnecessary service was recommended. They recommended a front end alignment however all four tires were very low and uneven in air pressure. They didn t fill the tires. They recommended replacing the battery, but left one cell dry down to the plates. Window washer fluid cap left off. Who knows what I missed during my post service inspection. When I properly inflated my tires, my vehicle ran straight as an arrow. No signs of uneven tire wear either.

Recently traded in my Hyundai Palisade (a car I really liked), for a new Subaru Forester. I checked out a few other dealers before going to Sarasota Subaru. I found them to be the most helpful, responsive and willing to spend time helping me find the right car. There was no pressure, they gave me a very fair deal on my trade and on the price of the 2023 Forester. None of the typical pressure to buy all the add ons when you get to the finance guy, no haggling back and forth and running to see the manager - just straight forward, honest, square deal. And, they took me around and introduced me to the service managers and I was made to feel very welcome and confident in the support I would receive as a customer of Sarasota Subaru. A great experience, I highly recommend them.

I really hate to do this, but the customer service the last two times I've dealt with Sarasota Subaru was so poor, I feel I have to say something.This is such a shame because typically Subaru dealerships are incredibly friendly.Most recently, I tried to book a service for my vehicle and from the receptionist who answered to Robin whom I spoke with in service, absolutely terrible. I was so shocked by her abruptness and rudeness I said nevermind and ended our call. I will now need to find a new place to take my vehicle.

I had the most amazing experience with Karen as I went with a family member to purchase a vehicle. She was very thorough and professional, explained all the details involved. She truly worked her magic! We left there so satisfied with the services that Karen provided us with. I was searching for a green forester wilderness edition for months and finally found it at this dealership. Karen Melendez was amazing during this whole process. She was able to answer all my questions and addressed all my concerns over the phone before I even had to step foot in the door. When I finally came in she made sure I was out in less than two hours. Subaru in my experience is a two-sided coin. On one hand you have a reasonable product at a reasonable price on the other hand you have a company devoid of any accountability and apparently it is unable to make right given an opportunity to do so. I have a 2014 Crosstrek and it has struggled with air condition issues since purchased, recently I discovered a office memo between Subaru and their service tech providers regarding the dysfunction of this particular part. (See photos) Despite history of issues with my air condition Subaru offered no resolution and instead proceeded to charge me $110 to tell me that my air conditioning didn't work ,well thanks guys if that ain't a kick in stick, I don't know what is. Prior to bringing it back I had comprehensive diagnostic testing performed and it was truly an intermittent clutch failure of this compressor. I have video of this diagnostic operation in a more than willing to send it via email. My name is Rhett Clark of Venice FL , if you have any questions about my experience with Subaru feel free to message me on FB and I'll fill you in to the best of my ability. If I live to be a thousand years old I'll never buy another Subaru again, not because they're not a good car but because they can't be trusted to do the right thing on there own accord, that still matters to me. It's not that it went bad, its they stood by unmoved when it did. When I highlighted the fact that I had information pertaining to this faulty part their response was is that I wasn't supposed to have access to this particular information. How's that for transparency and accountability.

I went to them 2 years ago to have something trivial done to my Forester. I don't even remember what it was. Within a month I received a mailing from them stating that my car was over due for service. Since then I have received 1 or 2 mailings from them every week! Earlier this year I called and asked to be removed from their mailing list. I was assured that would happen. 6 months later nothing had changed. 2 months ago I sent a request to be removed from their mailing list via the contact portal on their website and told them my previous experience and said if the mailings didn't stop I would start sharing my experience online. Well, two months have passed. I am still receiving mailings every week. And, I am sharing my experience. I don't like companies that smile to my face then repeatedly ignore and disrespect me from afar.

Very organized and efficient service center. We came for an oil change for our car and were in and out within an hour. And a free car wash was included! Reasonable rates too. Big, clean waiting room with coffee and pastry for customers. There is also seating outside.

i ordered my 2022 brz through sarasota subaru and mark jones helped me with all of it, and was the kindest car salesman i have ever come across. he even texted me updates and pictures of my car before the plastic even came off and thats so appreciated. the main manager was super nice too and the parts guys are all great. i live in fort myers but am more than willing to make the drive to sarasota to see these guys for my car needs. would definitely recommend them to anyone, especially anyone who is kinda scared or traumatized by car dealerships!
