I want to give a HUGE shout out to this group of gentlemen. We had a radiator issue with a rental car. I called, they said get here before 5 and we got you covered. They were able to remove the broken radiator cap and fill the reservoir to correct the issue. They did this for NO CHARGE! I of course 'tipped' them as I was very appreciative of their services and how they were able to assist us so quickly. Kudos to this place!

I had the opportunity to work with Jim Taylor Auto for the first time. I took my 1970 Buick Electra in on a recommendation for a check up and analysis. They did an amazingly thorough job with everything. I allowed them to do some work and then allowed them to do much more. My car runs great now and the pricing is very reasonable. They walked me through everything in detail and also gave me a warranty for all of the work. Very professional, knowledgeable and respectful business. I will continue to take my car there in the future.

Phil at Jim Taylor will make sure you are taken care of from the moment you walk through the door. Some of the finest staff on hand. I highly recommend these guys, they provide photo inspections proving that transparency can positively impact customer relationships. If you want an honest/ trustworthy shop, stop by and give them a shot

Can t recommend these guys enough. Phil Gomes was extremely helpful and kept me up to date on the progress of my car repair. The tech diagnosed and repaired my car right the first time. A+ service all around, my go-to shop for all my repairs!!!!

I had an amazing experience at Jim Taylor s automotive. Phil helped me and was very kind to my sister and I. I needed an oil filter change and he fit me in right before my trip. I would highly recommend this mechanic to anyone. They do honest work and are very helpful.

We are snow birds and this year upon returning to LBK we discovered our Ford Escape had a dead battery. We had it towed to Jim Taylor Automotive and they put in a new battery and fixed the back brakes which were in the red. The crew are professional and knowledgeable and it was a pleasure doing business with them. They are also very cheerful! We highly recommend Jim Taylor Automotive.

Everything about my experience was great.Early dropoffFriendly office staffThe super patient technician who explained everything to me...Plus, I liked that I could see everything they did and that needed to be done (with pictures too) and approve everything through a link online. They got me taken care of right away and my car was ready by the time I got off work.Definitely recommend them to anybody needing service in the Sarasota/ Bradenton area.

I had the need for a HYBRID mechanic, called 2 mechanics I've used in past years, but neither worked on Toyota Prius. No one I knew had recommendations leaving me clueless. I googled and called a few mechanics listed but wasn't happy with the phone conversations. I called Jim Taylor Automotive, spoke with Sharon explaining my needs. She listened closely to my detailed information, then asked a few questions. I asked to speak to a mechanic myself as I'm mechanically inclined and wanted to speak with the owner. I spoke with Phil explaining my issues with the inverter water pump for my hybrid battery being replaced. Afterwards I decided to go in and speak with him in person as I felt he was the person I wanted to work on my car but I prefer to meet the mechanics myself. I'm very particular about my car. The shop is very clean, busy but not so busy they won't stop to talk and listen to your issues. I was extremely impressed by Phil. He wasn't condescending at all, considering the questions I asked and explained how I wanted the job performed. Actually he seemed pleased that I was that involved in my car, its repairs and maintenance. I left my car overnight and by noon the next day I was called with a report that it was finished and a few dollars under the quoted price for the repair. I had asked for them to call me if any hoses needed replaced while they had it opened up and to please place the old pump in the box of the new pump.Everyone there is so professional and so calm. THERE IS NO STRESS!! Very important to me. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND JIM TAYLOR AUTOMOTIVE FOR ALL YOUR AUTOMOTIVE NEEDS.I've just driven my car across the state, haven't had any problems - I didn't expect to, and my gas mileage increased dramatically, so my hybrid battery is being cooled properly. Great job, Jim Taylor Automotive, Thank you Phil, all the mechanic's and Sharon for your kindness and professional manner.

I was referred to Jim Taylor Automotive by my old change spot across the street, Zippy Lube, and I was pleasantly surprised in their customer service! It was very refreshing dealing with a knowledgeable staff that provided me with a detailed and well presented layout for an auto care plan. I look forward to doin more business with Jim Taylor Automotive in the future!

Couldn't be happier with the service at Jim Taylor. The folks at Jim Taylor were thorough and efficient in inspecting my Acura RDX; they did a full inspection on my brakes, tires, and things that I wouldn't even think about to keep me safe on the road. I loved that the inspection was sent straight to my phone and the whole experience was super easy and transparent. The Management and techs at Jim Taylor are extremely experienced and honest and I wouldn't trust any other place to service my car!Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Brakes, Oil change

Excellent experience at Jim Taylor Automotive. Confess I was a little worried to learn the company was under new ownership, but Matt was great, and the team did a prompt and professional job servicing my truck and giving it a thorough and documented all-over check. I can't recommend Jim Taylor Automotive enough - this is hands down the best auto repair shop I've ever used. Not only are their technicians top-notch, but the customer service is absolutely amazing. Sharon and Elsa are always so friendly and helpful on the phone, which makes dealing with car repairs a lot less stressful. And when it comes to our company vehicles, Jim Taylor Automotive always comes through.They've repaired our fleet of trucks and vans numerous times, and they always have them back on the road in record time. It's like they have a magic wand or something - I don't know how they do it, but I'm not complaining!The repairs are always done right the first time, and the prices are very fair. Jim Taylor stole my fathers money after his passing. He would not return money owed to my father after he suddenly died. He refused to write a check even though all documentation was provided. Do not use this shop.Service: Engine repairService: Engine repair

I brought my daughters car and the owner called me and said it needed new stabilizer bar and it would be roughly $300. I said great, go ahead. Later that day got a call from receptionist, not the owner, saying 2 more things need to be replaced and now price is $900! I said why did owner say it was 1 and now it is 3 things?? I told them to do stabilizer bar and that it. When I came pick up car I asked the owner why he would say it needs this and then have receptionist call back saying now it gonna be 3 times original quote. He said "I can tell your upset, no charge", I said I will pay the 300 work he did and he said no. So he made up for it, in a way, but I felt like he thought I was an easy target or something for "finding something else wrong" as happens in many unscrupulous repair shops.

I traveled from Northern Michigan to Sarasota Florida in my 2001 Chevy Blazer, and I got my Universal Joints replaced here, same day, $200. They were friendly, fair, and fast! Thanks to you guys I have arrived home safely! You rock!
