A G & K is the go to shop in Sanford. They took care of me and my Silverado multiple times. They set expectations, communicate well, and most of all, do it with a smile. I ve never thought twice about paying for their services because they get it done right the first time

Took car in to find what was killing battery SG&K never found . It SG&K added something to charge it with a 12 volt charger to charge it from a 12 volt outlet at my home that didn't work !The car also run rough and will cut off !Completely not satisfactory.

Questionable prices and doesn t listen to the customer.I called to quote an oil change, radiator flush and new plugs. The lady quickly moved to schedule me for an appointment I was not ready to commit to. I said we need to talk about the work and the prices. She quoted the work to be in the neighbor of 800$ which seemed very high. I asked what the details were and she said that she was adding a bumper to bumper inspection and a fuel treatment of some sort. I told her I wasn t interested in that and reiterated what I called for. When we got into the actual work I asked for, she added new plug wires and boots to the quote. I admit I don t know everything, but I know every time I ve ever replaced plugs I never needed to replace anything else. Since I did not report anything wrong with my wires and I asked why and she could not tell me. She reported an issue with her computer and asked to call me back to explain the work to me. They called me back a week and half later asking if I was good for my appointment they scheduled the very next day. I told them I never committed to an appointment since they never called me back to explain the work.Perception is everything and in this limited exchange I felt they tried to coerce me into doing unnecessary work, they did not care to discuss specifics, and they assumed I would just go along with it. I understand the concept of the upsale but this rep did not bother to make the sale or educate me on why I might benefit from it. I got the impression that she just wanted to add charges and not do the work of explaining why.

This business is completely honest and fair. I will definitely use them again. They have helped my teenage son with his care a couple of times now. Their prices are definitely fair and reasonable. Half the price of tire kingdom for same exact work. I will not hesitate to use them again and/or to recommend them.

We ve been taking our vehicles (4 of them in 10 years) to this team and have had a consistently great experience. We appreciate their honesty, willingness to look for the time to fit us in when an emergency comes up and even the times they ve given us a ride home while they work in the vehicle. Good, old school, honest shop!

definitely overpricing and careless service, they literally forgot putting new air filter in after removing the old one, and this happened after they charging me $122 for a simple oil&filter change, I caught the werid noise from the engine then had to bring it back next day, not coming back to this place ever again.

I have ran service for many large dealerships from NY, NC to FL. One thing I always would pride myself on is honesty and commitment to the customer. Unfortunately, these traits are not easily found in the automotive world. Luckily for me I decided to give SG&K an chance. I called for an estimate and Tristyn gathered my information and called me back very promptly. Being a Monday the shop was extremely busy but they took care of my sons truck. Ken and Tristyn are wonderful people that care about the customer and do not treat you as a dollar bill. I am pretty tough when it comes to service advisers but I will gladly say Tristyn is remarkable at her job. If I was building a service team again she would be on it. Ken is 100% committed to his customers and the city of Sanford he took care of my son again and had him back on the road in minutes. Do yourself a favor and ditch the dealer or chain and give SG&K a chance.Service: Brakes

This is the best place to get your car worked on the people are so nice and listen to what you need they don't rip you off they give you options. Free diagnostic. Reasonably priced. And they don't break something in order to sell you more work. They tell you what needs to be fixed right away and what can wait. Electrical issues they fix it all. Awesome mechanics.

S G & K is only shop I "Trust" to take all my family's vehicles to. I always get great fast & friendly service. I always get up front estimates, and sometimes I get a call where things are worst than first appeared, but I always get a call explaining what needs to be done. I prefer all my vehicles to be safe. The shop is what I call "old School", I am always greeted by hand shack by the owner Geoff and they still repair vehicles, not just parts re-placers. I had everything done there from complete transmission rebuilds to front end work and even power windows repaired. I not only recommend them to my friends, but to all wanting a place to trade and feel safe leaving your vehicle in good hands. It is very hard these days to find a shop you can trust. S G & K is one you can. If you happen to look at any given time you always see the parking lot full, that should tell you they are busy for a reason. Last thing, last time I there I found out the also now do front end alignments.

We came with our cars and could not be happier with the service. The owner was so honest and patient in explaining what was wrong with our car and how much it would cost to fix. No pressure and the biggest thing we were looking for we found here: Honesty. Thank you!

My truck is not fixed, it is making a rattling sound but the mechanic "couldn't hear it". And they charged me $100 to put on a bolt on hitch. I brought it in and they assured me they would have it done or have progress that day and call me. Never did and didn't even look at the truck until I came back into the shop and asked what was going on. Extra day, cost too much, SCAMMED.

I was in town from the east coast when my car made a noise that worried me. I stopped in to ask if it could be diagnosed and if I would be able to make it back to a local mechanic on the east coast. Geoff listened, looked, added some power steering fluid. He said I had a hole on powersteering line. I could make it back home. He didn't even charge me. I wish I would have had him fix it because it took 2 attempts by local mechanics to ultimately solve the problem. Thank you Geoff.

This was by far the WORST auto repair shop I have ever experienced! If you take your car there for something minor, you will come out with four more things wrong with it. The service is horrible, they offer little to no assistance with any questions you may have. "They will take care of it" and all they do is make things worse. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone! Stay FAR AWAY...

I needed brake service on my suburban....made an appointment...owner was very pleasant....he called and told me exactly what had to be done (and the price).....excellent service....very fair price... Highly recommended!

They can fix anything. They don't sell cars, so they aren't trying to get you to buy new one, , and they are so constantly busy, they won't do unnecessary repairs just to get more $

Wouldn't trust anyone else. When I have car trouble, Geoff at SGK is the first person I call for assistance. He's even walked me through diagnostics over the phone. I'm not sure where else you would find that kind of service!
