Let me clear my throat and rave about the incredible service I received at Pep Boys. From start to finish, they amazed me with their efficiency. In no time at all, my vehicle was expertly taken care of, and I was back on the road. The staff's knowledge and professionalism were outstanding, and they even took the time to explain everything to me. The facility was clean and comfortable, adding to the overall positive experience. I highly recommend Pep Boys for top-notch automotive service.

I am writing to express my disappointment with the service provided at your store regarding the verification of my car battery warranty. My brother initially called your location and spoke to a gentleman named Mac, who assured him that his car battery was indeed under warranty after checking the VIN number.However, upon arriving at the store, the same individual, Mac, was unable to locate the battery in the system. This inconsistency was concerning and left us feeling frustrated and perplexed. Upon discussing the matter with the manager, instead of receiving assistance, we were met with questioning and made to feel as though we had done something wrong.The entire experience was highly unpleasant and did not meet the standard of service I expect from your establishment. I urge you to address this issue promptly to ensure that other customers do not encounter similar difficulties in the future.

Disappointed. We ve been taking our cars this PepBoys for years, but they ve dropped the ball on us. My wife brought the car in with complaints that the AC wasn t blowing cool air, the engine was overheating and to ask them to check the brakes and rotors. They ran their diagnostics and told us it was an AC fuse, coolant temp sensor, gasket of some sort, and that the brakes and rotors should be redone. First of all they told my wife it was going to be approximately $3,400 to fix everything, but when I called to ask a couple questions they dropped it down to just under $2,000. We paid to have all the repairs done.My wife brought the car back in to check a tire sensor a day after the repairs and on the way home the car overheated with white smoke billowing in and out of the car with our children in the vehicle. Pep Boys did comp the tow for us back to the shop, which we appreciated, but was the right thing to do considering they fixed the issue. They then told us it was the coolant hose (why they didn t catch that initially is beyond me), and although they discounted the part (which again I appreciated) it still cost us an additional $500. They told us there was no system damage and that the hose would fix it. Paid, picked the vehicle up and within 15 mins it was overheating again. Took it back and they kept the vehicle for another week and when we called to check on it they told us the engine needed replaced ($6,000 to $10,000) or we needed to get a new vehicle.I m livid. Pep Boys are the experts. They should have known it was an engine problem from the get go, and could have saved us the money we wasted, the rental cars, the Ubers my wife had to pay for to get around, the time she had to sit waiting for a tow truck and not working, etc. They originally told us they d refund us $1,300 of our expenses (which I believe it should be a full refund), but then the area director, Edward Boyd, only felt they needed to reimburse us $900 something. Do better Pep Boys. I m not in the car maintenance business, but I am in the customer service business. I can t help but feel if they d been more thorough we wouldn t have had to gone through any of this.

I spent over $800.00 to have the starter replaced on a Saturday morning. By Sunday evening, the same issue cropped up. I had a comprehensive inspection and everything, so why do I have the same issue I brought the car in for? It had better be fixed and I better not be charged another dime for this incompetence.

Thank you to Assistant Manager Justin for late call service and for squeezing us in, We were in major need of two worn-out tires, Thanks to the service members Josh Daniel and Carlos for professionally servicing our vehicle I can't thank you guys enough! I 100% Recommend anyone to go there for tire service you won't be disappointed!!

DO NOT buy tires from here, i have 4 month old tires and the side wall collapsed and they will NOT credit me back be cause i did not pirchase hazards...however faulty bad tires should not need hazards.

Great service from the new management team at the Sanford location. Found to have 6 nails in my tire and went a head a bought 4 new tires bc I needed them. In and out so fast and with fantastic customer service.

Justin at my Sanford branch was very helpful in explaining the limitations of tire pressure sensors but said that the brand they were going to install were very good replacements. He was very helpful for timing of installation as well.

i just had the best experience with Cam and Justin. They called another store because they match pricing and sure enough it was a savings. This just doesn t happen very often and will be returning and telling everyone I know!!

I bought four tires and when I left after having them done, I was bouncing all over the road. Called Pepboy's and they had me come back in and got everything fixed and back on the road. Awesome service

The place I planned to go had no one to work on my tire but they didn t tell me that until I arrived. Enter Pep Boys who were able to get it fixed within a few hours after. I ll be going to pep boys for the next time! Great experience

My truck broke down & luckily I was just next door & got it to the Sanford shop. The guys behind the counter explained it might be awhile, which I understood. But they had a tech free up & they had him look at my truck & luckily it was the battery that went bad. They replaced it & had me back on the road quickly. So thankful they were able to fit me in & get back up & running - thank you.

The guys at this Pep Boys location are always top-notch. They don t talk down to you, they are honest, and they always work with you so that you feel comfortable during an unpredictable time, that can be pretty stressful.

I called for an estimate aka what I refer to ask ball park price and the first guy who picked up was nice enough and got back to me quickly. But because of Tim s nasty attitude, I will be using elsewhere. Not too sure but definitely poor customer service. Maybe a bad day. I don t know but won t be getting any work from them. Hopefully management sees this review and keeps him off the phones so he doesn t run business away

Great price and got us in and out last minute on a Saturday when we called first thing. All new brakes and rotors on our 2004 Ford F150 for just over $1000 with great warranties! Genuine guys and fast workers!!

paid 50$ for a plug, was told it would be 25. Other then that service was good, but the policys are no good and, caused me to be stranded in Orlando on my way to Tampa anyway. Locally owned tire shops will be cheaper and more helpful.

TL;DR - Avoid at all costs. Pricing is robbery.I have since gone back to have to edit my previous 5 star review from 6 years ago. I have since gotten a new vehicle and had not needed any service until now. Prior, I trusted PepBoys without question. Fair pricing, never the cheapest but good pricing and good service.Today, I trusted my morning service quote, though I thought it was high, I trusted PepBoys to continue always giving me fair pricing. Later, they suggested another service and were only going to charge me for the part. I knew the rough price of the part and wouldn't you know it, 230% mark up from dealer. Red Flags.I then called around town to, at the time of this review, 8 other shops quoting my original service and whoa...every single shop, including the dealership, came in 40-50% of the invoice for the work already done. When I confronted the sales manager, I was met with pushback and fight, that it was my fault and that that's just the price in the system, which I have no doubt that last part is true.Boy do I feel like I was robbed and a little stupid for putting my faith in PepBoys. Shameful pricing practices.

I moved recently to Sanford, and this is my shop of choice. I've already visited three times, and each time, I leave as a satisfied customer. Today, Mark helped me with some concerns regarding my vehicle, and his service was top-notch. He was very patient with me and tried to find all possible solutions to my problem. If you're unsure which PepBoys to visit, or you feel skeptical about mechanics due to bad experiences, go to this shop. They're transparent and will treat you with respect and patience.

Refuse to take accountability or even acknowledge issues following an initial repair that left the car leaking coolant (not a previous issue). Barely looked at vehicle when brought in a second and third time to address the leak. Staff is also condescending and rude that places what they think is efficiency over actual customer service. Person in front of you matters just as much as the car behind you

This Pep Boys gave a bad service the last time I had my Mercedes Benz SUV serviced for an oil change, they damaged the oil access nut and they used a light blue glue but still a lot of oil spilled out, they were not careful at all, I regret of having taken to that factory, very bad service.
