My custom car was at a local speed shop having diagnostics done on the engine. I had to have a suspect valve spring tested right NOW. The place we usually take this work is a 45 minute drive. I looked this place up and gave them a call - they said they could do it while I wait, and that is something I NEVER hear from a engine shop. I got there in 12 minutes, met a man named Joe, who immediately dropped what he was doing and started working with me on the spring measuring that I asked for, and doing a good job of it. I got my information and asked him how much I owed him, and he said, "Nothing".I took care of Joe anyway and thanked him profusely for his quick service on such short notice. As luck would have it, later in the day, we determined we needed more info on the spring. It was close to 5 pm, but I called him and told him I needed him again and he said he would wait past closing for me. I was so happy that Joe was agreeable, because I am out the area and would have had to deal with this spring problem again the next day, and having to travel a long distance to the speed shop again. I hit heavy rain on the way to Joe's shop and it slowed me down, but Joe was waiting for me when I got there. He took care of me once again. I can't say enough good about Joe and his service, and I will use his shop whenever the need arises. He earned my respect and recommendation the good way.

Joe is great. Very knowledgeable and skilled at his craft. Additionally, the other staff are very kind and able to assist. I am very impressed with this shops, professionalism, pricing, and turnaround time. Thank you very much for being a part of my Willy's pickup restoration project.

Needed some help with a rotating assembly for my Mazda. Took it to another shop which said they couldn t get to it. Brought it by Gerald and Charlie s and they understood what i needed done and had it done in record time! Very helpful shop would definitely be using them again!

I just discovered this place a month ago. This place has a small town business feel to it. Guys are friendly and more than happy to talk with you to make sure they understand what you need done.Been there three times so far. They replaced a pressed in front wheel bearing for my car. They were also able to accommodate me for a few odd jobs, such as sand blasting some parts and turning (lathe) a custom metal piece for me.This place is a gold mine find for a guy who has mechanical hobbies, but does not own expensive machining equipment. Prices are real low!!!

Called Gerald and Charlie's ahead of time and discussed possible pricing for the work I wanted accomplished. Upon drop of they quickly assessed my heads and let me know what I would need done. This dictated a great price and time frame ( which was much better than anticipated based off other machine shops) waiting for my heads to be done now and will update if anything changes but so far I will be sending all of my machinist work to them

Work to have my cylinder head machined after warping was complete the same day, inexpensive and everyone who works there is very friendly and upfront. Highly recommend this location to anyone in need of this type of service.

I had a horrible experience at a different machine shop and came here recommended by the people of Sanford Auto Salvage. Great, quick, affordable...overall a great place. I had been quoted $200-$300 to resurface a cylinder head at the other machine shop (they were thieves). Came here, got it done for $30. Will happily be back!

They are the very best in resurfacing heads, reseated the valve seats, shims, a bunch of things they did for us. I highly recommend them. Replace all the valve guides too. Thankyou Geralds and Charlies Auto Machine shop.

they are. very reliable especially when you ask for wh a t you need done .very clean work. and for the working man or mechanic very wallet freindly and very helpful i say give them a try you wont go wrong with there work.they also cut flywheels

We use Gerald and Charlie for our machine work and quality and turn around time is very good. Hard to find a good machine shop these days but this one meets and exceeds our expectations everytime thus far.

I had a Ford 300 6cy I took to them and they told me things that I knew were not true so I got my engine back. They took my crankshaft that only needed polished and gave me a P.O.S. crank that had ridges on all the throws and the oil was all dry from sitting. The rest of my parts was still wet from oil. Plus my rod and main bearings were smooth all across it. Beware of these people and do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

I've had wheel bearings done there twice, First time it was done the next day, the second time he just said give me a minute, It took longer to pay and chat.

They charged me 300 for a 75 dollar piston and sold me rod bearings for a smallblock when I have a big block unbelievable
