It looks like my old man got scammed too from Gary Adair and American Road Classics. My dad took in his 1974 Buick Apollo for body work and paint with almost a $10,000 deposit, THREE YEARS AGO!!!!!! Gary has provided zero updates and ignores all phone calls. He was told his car got moved to Osteen but we have not seen any progress and now we find out about all these court cases against Gary. We will be filing a police report and seeking legal representation to file a lawsuit ASAP. I work for a law firm so we will be doing everything in our power to seek justice and shut this man down. It's absolutely absurd how Gary Adair can be okay with robbing innocent hard working people that want to retire and own a classic vehicle.4/1/24 update: this piece of garbage moved locations once again and is now gone from 200 N French Ave. He must have so many people suing him, he needed a new location. My dad is out 8k and his 1974 Apollo is gone due to Gary's absurd actions and negligence. I'm contacting state attorneys, new channels, local car shows, we aren't going to lose all this money without a battle. Absolute scum of the earth to steal 8k from a hard working man who just finally retired.

Took my car in due to multiple shops not being able to find the issue. Brought it in, they got to the problem in a few days. Due to quick work they did we came up with a game plan and he asked for a deposit. I paid no questions asked. Then another deposit, then another one. This was 4 years ago. Calls never answered, voice mails never responded to. I showed up a few time through this period but with covid and all I was patient. Now I went there yesterday and come to find out he is moving his shop. I asked him to have my parts and everything ready I'm going to pick everything up and now that seemed like an inconvenience. At this point I'm going to give it a week and go speak to a lawyer. New tires are all flat from sitting and probably ruined. Car was black when dropped off and now it's faded gray and rust popping up all over. His response to that was "it want the best paint job anyway".

Gary took my deposit of $12,000 2 years ago. He won't return any of my calls or requests. Very unprofessional to steal people's money with no intention to pay it back or communicate how to resolve the situation.

Brought my Jeep in because it was not running properly. Left it with them, turned out the Carburetor needed to be rebuilt. Quick turn around and fair price for the repairs. Runs better than Ever!! Thank you to Gary and all the guys. Definitely recommend them for your classics!!

Quality family owned business that treats you like part of their family. I had leaks at transmission, rear seal, etc...on my 1965 mustang but not anymore. They addressed all issues in timely manner and the repairs were priced very fairly. I had stripes and engine painting also done on my 2012 mustang. They even researched the specs on the size of the stripes and it's taper from front to back. Best paint job I've ever had. All heads turn when I drive down the road. I would not hesitate to take my car there for anything. They take pride in their work.Services: Transmission, Painting

Beware of this business! My husband took his classic corvette here to have the brakes repaired. The owner had him buy thousands of dollars in parts upfront, had the car for a year and did no work. He refuses to answer calls, texts, or return the money. Looks like he has done this to other people as well. Litigation would be our last resort but he counts on it being more trouble than it is worth. Very upsetting that this seems to be his business model.Service: Brakes

The owner of American Road Classics Gary Adair took almost $5000.00 from us on March 5th 2021. He told me that he needed the money up front to purchase new rims, new tires, all new windows, a new bumper and a new steering wheel. As of today August 6th 2021 I have yet to receive one single item. Gary has told so many lies throughout the months that I am sure I will never see a single item that he took my money for. I would strongly suggest you stay as far away from this business as possible as I have found out that this is not his first time he has done this sort of thing. We are now forced to take him to court to recoup our hard earned money that he stole!!

Garry and Staff have been complete professional and helped get a 64 and half Mustang Coup back on the road. Had the complete Undercarriage rebuilt due to rust. Also had the engine cleaned and rebuilt. They have been a great asset into Sanford for classic cars in need of mechanical and body work

We did some research and Gary had experience with working on TBirds. We brought her in and I was very pleased with the way they looked her over and took there time. Such a warm welcome. Gary is very knowledgeable and helped us see something's that weren't right with prior restoration. If you need work done. These guys are spot on ! Thank you job well done

I am disappointed with the outcome and experience of dealing with this shop. There have been several instances the shop did not live up to what was originally agreed on. The total installation time was supposed to be 60 days. I didn't receive the car for 5 months and it still had issues. I paid for a complete new wiring harness and installation. There have been several issues including intermittent fuel pump, bad ground (flicking lights), horn not wired, and overall neatness. The new instrument cluster and gauges don't read accurate, don't light up, don't fit right, and can't fully be read from drivers position. We agreed on flowmaster mufflers and I received knockoffs. We agreed on welded in subframe connectors and I received bolt-in. After several times of pointing it out they halfway welded them in. I have asked for and been told I would receive paperwork, part numbers, and wiring diagrams but still haven't received them. The shop did do some things right however lost all my trust by not living up to their word. I will never bring my car back to them and would caution anyone considering them for a major project.

Check the Seminole County Court records to see how many customers have had to file claims against this business and why. Make your own conclusions.Service: PaintingService: Painting

I dropped off a car the first weekend in sept 2020 to have a/c installed and a serpentine system...I also dropped off 2 pieces of the grill of another of my cars to be cleaned and polished...at that time I also put down a 50% deposit on the work to be done...to date I do not have an eta of either job being completed...i am writing this on dec 23, 2020...each time I have been there to check on the jobs I have not seen the grill parts and the car I dropped off has been moved but I don't think any work has been started...I am a bit disgruntled you might say...it is now 4/12/2022 and i still do not have my car back...and as it turns out i took it there the first week of aug 2020...8/6/2020 to be exact...on June 21, 2022 I removed my vehicle from this shop towing it home on a tow dolly as it was disassembled and work unfinished to the point that it should not be started...
