On two separate occasions while staying in Florida I experienced unexpected automotive problems. Proctor Automotive took the time actually show me what the defective was, explained what was needed to fix it and exactly how much it would cost. I was provided timely, efficient service at a fair price. I highly recommend this automotive shop. Thank you Keith.

Not very happy with the service. Dropped my daughter's car off, advised of hesitation issues. Received a call back in 2hrs and was advised the crank sensor and it would cost $137 with parts and labor; gave the go ahead. Received a call back in the evening to say the car is ready and can be picked up the next morning. Sent my daughter and she was given a bill of $521 with a charge of $400 for a diagnostic check. Spoke to the mechanic via speakerphone who claimed I gave him the go ahead and he never advised me of that diagnostic charge. The mechanic went on to say he will take the part back off and that my daughter can pick up the car the next day the way it was dropped off. Very unprofessional as my daughter indicated that she will pay; she was just asking him why so much as I had told her the $137 price that he originally told me for the sensor.

Went to Proctors for an Alternator replacement. Fast, friendly, and affordable service. We were quite pleased that it didn't take weeks to get in, weeks to repair or thousands of dollars. We were able to drop it off next day and it was complete a couple of days later (including time to get parts). A+

Said over the phone they could work on my car. When I brought it over they then claimed it was too low to fit on their lift even though it's still at stock ride height.Edit: One, it wasn't "lowered all the way to the ground" it was still at stock ride height buddy so take it up with Mazda. Two, you were the first shop I called and went to since you're closest to my house, so saying I came from another shop is false. I did find another place right away that was much more helpful and I will be going to them in the future so thank you

Prices everything all up front. Delivers as promised. Been using him for years and have never been let down. Once had my vehicle towed and another mechanic told me crank Solenoid,when it was my fuse box. He saved me tons of money. Honest and reliable.Service: Engine repairService: Engine repair

I learned of this place through my mother. I've been taking my car there for about 5 years. They never have tried to rip me off as other places have, because I'm a woman. I tell my friends, if they need major work or a simple oil change. I need to mention that my friends have never had anything but a great experience with Proctors.I feel that they are reasonably priced & each time I called to have my car checked or to have something done they were able to accommodate me the same day.

I have a food truck that is older (built in 1983) so it has its fair share of mechanical issues. Since opening my business, I have had my truck visit 6 different mechanics and in my experience I have seen the good side and the bad side of shops from Sarasota to Tampa. This all said after my experience with Proctors, I feel compelled to let you know what it is like to deal with a honest and fair professional shop. They make it very clear exactly what work they are going to do, they do not repair items that are still in working order just to pinch a extra dollar out of you and they do qulaity repair. I took my truck in to get some electrical work done which was very difficult to even diagnose due to the age and the condition that previous mechanics had left old and nonfunctional wires to complicate matters. To be honest it looked like a huge bowl of spilled pasta noodles. Not only did Ben and Kieth find the problem, they cleaned up the excess wires and showed me how to resolve further issues instead of trying to get me to return to spend more money. They know treating customers honestly will get them to return. Their integrity is the best customer service you will ever need. They have been in business for around 14 years and have relied mostly on word of mouth so I now give you my word, they are good people. When you go, tell them Smokin Bowls sent ya.

I ve been bringing our company trucks here for years and never have had any reason to complain. They have done numerous repairs for us and even fixed a truck when our last mechanic told us for the 4th truck we need a new engine. They keep us on the road which is very imperative for service vehicles. I highly recommend these guys.

I went to Proctors for the first time and was extremely impressed how fast the car was taken in and repaired.The car was making a terrible noise in the front end and they replaced what needed to be replaced at a very fair price.I would recommend them to anyone in Ruskin,Fla.The car runs like new,thank you so much Proctors Precision Automotive.I still can't believe they did all that work in about 6 hours.Some places you have to wait weeks or months.I'm elated!Service: Steering & suspension repair

Not pleased with how I was treated , after paying for an alignment and told it couldn't be finished due to a stuck inner tire rod came back with it un seized and told I'd have to pay if I wanted it the way it should be Keith needs to run a tighter ship around there my opninon go else where.

Mr Crocker and his Mechanics are very nice. i always feel that Mr Crocker is extremely honest with you. i used to just get Oilchange, had other problems and i could not believe how gpod and fast it wad done. We used to go to the Dealer and I will always go to Mr Crocker and his great Mechanic.
