Franks Engine Rebuilding is a top of the line machine shop! They take the most amazing care of you with your big engine projects! Great service and friendly folks! Recently had to pull the heads on the small block Chevy in my tow truck due to a leaky head gasket. Dropped the heads on Friday afternoon, got called Tuesday morning for pickup. They were concerned that my heads would need too much work (they had 340,000 miles on them and at the very least had some sunken valves). Instead, they had a set on the shelf (better heads than what I took off), so I got those instead at a very reasonable price. Got me back on the road probably 2 - 3 days sooner and with upgraded heads. Highly recommended. John, Master Towing Service, Inc.

If you want it done right, go to Frank's. They are honest, helpful, fast, and my 1st choice for engine work on all of my vehicles. Mike and Katy are a joy to work with. Thanks for everything!

I took my 1929 Model A Ford engine in to Frank's Machine shop for a complete engine machining and repair, ie cleaning, new babbitt bearings, new pistons & rings, new valve train, bore and cylinder hone and head and deck milling.It took them over 5 months and it cost me over $6,650.00. When I got it back it was the most disgusting cleaning job I ever seen. It was almost as dirty as it was when I took it in.The last thing they did was the milling and the bore and honing. The block was not cleaned and completely covered with milling dust.The exhaust ports still have a thick coat of exhaust carbon build up. The outside of the block still has the old paint and rust on it.The block was sent to another shop for the babbitt replacement. They did a beautiful job.I'm 77 years old and I've been working on engines since I was 16 years old. This is the worst machine shop work I've ever seen.Services: Engine repair, Motor building

Needed a stripped bolt hole repaired quickly on a lower unit. They were able to get the repair done within a day, which was wonderful. Really appreciate a business that is accommodating like this. They could have just as easily said sorry, we can't get to it for a week even though it's probably a half hour job.

Had issues with this business. Not happy with them at all. They won't pick up calls. They purchased a part worth $2400 and filed a charge back with their bank. Claiming item not delivered. We have proof it was signed by the owner.

This guy bought parts from me on eBay, then returned completely different part ( with a different serial number) and when I went to eBay seller help they decided in my favor... So he decided to go to his card company and fight the transaction... Basically, for being dishonest he got a free part and I'm out over $800. Customer beware dishonest business owner....Service: Clutches & transmissions service & repair

Very impressed with this place. New to the area and I needed cylinder heads pressure tested. Had been to two places prior. They were able to pressure test them fully assembled and give me the answer I was looking for. Very thankful and they have earned my trust. I will return with any future machine work.

This mechanic shop really sucks they trying to tell my dad that he doesn't know nothing about mechanic he used do mechanic himself but he retired it also doesn't mean he stopped doing it he fixes my car and my dirt bike but he couldn't finish the rest of the engine and he paid a lot of money for them finish it they messed up but not once but two times they and they won't give back his money and they were very rude to him. And my dad was be nice and calm.

Great staff very friendly! got the job done on time like they promised and haven't had any issues since ! Highly recommend Franks if you want a honest and good group of people to work on your engines

fair prices with a quick turn around, its a very small family buisness but they are really nice people, with a very knowledgeable staff, really great experience over all. Would definitely recommend to others.Also, edited to add, I'm not sure about the bad complaints? They are definitely far from racist

I took my heads in for a valve job I asked him if they had an engine cleaning machine I wanted my heads clean and look brand new again they said they had one they do not have one they put my heads in a plastic bag this way I could not see them and then when I open them up at home they were still dirty they had oil stains inside of them. Plus they re not like a normal machine shop they re little they apparently don t have a lot of machines I was expecting them to go through my lifters and My cam shaft and measure Clarence like a normal machine shop they did not .And when I put the heads on and start the vehicle they were tapping like crazy because the clearance was off so now I haven t to do it myself.So if you re just looking for a valve job and to shave the heads level they do an all right job .But if you looking for anything further I would find somewhere else ..Service: Engine repair

Worst experience ever I was treated like trash after paying them I was lied to I very sure race is an issue the owner himself got irate for no reason wen he's dead wrong I suggest anyone thinking about going to Frank's engine shop better expect the same treatment unless ur white and I'm going to small claims court to demand my money back by a judge I went there to give them a chance to make things right and all I got was treated like trash
