If you're looking for a honest auto shop you can't beat High Gear, not only honest but very professional. This was my first interaction with them and was highly impress. From now on if I have any problems with my corvette they will be my go to shop.

Set an appointment to have the fan motor replaced in my Nissan Rogue. staff was very courteous, the job was done quickly, and the price was beyond reasonable! This neighborhood automobile shop was recommended to me by a neighbor, and after my experience, I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for a great, honest, reasonable priced auto repair shop. Job well done! My go too neighborhood auto repair shop!

We were very pleased when the mechanic told us that our big repair was not an urgent repair. The initial visit we had with our dealership wasn't nearly as pleasant. They're our new go to mechanics.

... when we were looking for reliable service for our car, people from Next Door app recommended High Gear Automotive... And they were, very, very right - this business is rare in this industry... we used them three times and they were everything you wish your mechanic would be - quality of work, fair prices, great customer service, amazing professional staff and accommodations... only thing which we can do is highly recommended them.!!! They have one business in Port Charlotte another in Englewood...

HI GEAR GREAT FOR CLASSIC CARS TOO!!!!!Mechanic Pat did brakes on my 1968 Mercury Cougar. He got it finished faster than expected. The cost came in $75 less than expected. Karen brought me back home so I can leave it there and Pat helped me get it back home. Pat kept it inside at my request. Hi Gear is all about the customer service. They never try to oversell. Nice NO PRESSURE EXPERIENCE. My Thanks to Hi Gear. FIVE STAR GARAGE.

Recently had my windshield washer pump replaced. Excellent customer service and a great price!! Even my mother in law uses them for service when she visits from New Smyrna. I was very happy with their service and very friendly. Did brakes , two tires , alignment , best alignment I have had . Very reasonably priced. We've been going to High Gear for years because they have well trained and experienced mechanics, we trust them, they do great work, and their prices are fair. I feel so much better before taking a long trip when they look my truck over and tell me its good to go. I also like the idea that High Gear is a family business owned and operated by local neighbors. I highly recommend them, you won't be disappointed.

Great shop, even better owners. Patrick and Todd are trustworthy, go above and beyond to perform excellent work. If you communicate your goal and need in relation to the auto repair they understand and work towards your goal, not their own. I never trust mechanics, but I do trust the gentlemen at High Gear. They are rock solid folks.

Visiting from Ohio for the week when our Jeep started acting up and electric throttle control was going bad.. I had called several Jeep dealers and it was a 2.5 week wait to get it looked at. I called High Gear and I was in for diagnosing and then back the same day to get it fixed!! Very impressive! Extremely nice and I would drive 13 hours to have them fix my car if I could!! Being fairly new to this area, someone sent me this way and I am glad they did. Very thorough, honest and fair priced. They share any concerns they notice and show you exactly what the issue may be. We have three vehicles and I now rely on them for all my routine maintenance and all necessary items that require attention. Everyone at the shop is pleasant and thorough... Glad to bring my autos to them..

I came to Patrick with a forklift puncture through my AC condenser, Trans cooler, into the radiator and Fan shroud. It was a mess! He was adamant about using OEM parts and very kind on his labor time. The selling point for me was when he said it will be like it never happened and it is! Thank you Pat and crew for your professionalism, fair pricing, and extremely fast turn around. I hope to never have this problem again, but I WILL be bringing you all my automotive needs from here on out.Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, A/C installation & repair, Air conditioning

Luke was very helpful. We had an emergency window situation that needed tending to really quick. Luke ordered our part and said he would replace it the next day. Fair price, great service. The cold sodas and water were a bonus!

Exceptional and fantastic!Went to 3 different auto-repair shops yesterday to diagnose and fix my brake light problems. Couldn't. Found High Gear by a chance Google search. Sameday appointment and they had my Jeep's issue diagnosed in 15 minutes. Very reasonable and fair estimate for a replacement part and labor. 45 minutes later I was driving home without worrying about getting a ticket for tail/brake lights. Emily in their office was a delight. My new autoshop, for sure! Thanks guys

Pat is a no non sense straight shooter , I would say if you need a second opinion go to Pat at high gear 9 of 10 times what a car dealer will tell you need you actually don't need. stop in and see Pat and his staff! good people, good prices very professional and the most important thing is quality and knowledge based professional organization. What's not to like, have used their services for all my vehicles (3). Dedicated, competent, professional and reasonable.My 06 Jaguar XK8 had intermittent electronic problems getting worse over 5 or more years, towed 3 times, left overnight many times.Nobody had a solution. Replacement microprocessor, reprogrammed did not work. Pat at High Gear to the rescue!!! Persistence, analytical skills, and interpretation of issues led to faulty when hot, power distribution module feeding the three microprocessors, rescued part from Georgia and problem solved. Can't say enough in praise for Pat and his staff at High Gear Auto
