What a blessing! The wonderful owner of Frank s Family Auto Care happened to be in the right place at the right time to graciously help this family in need (headed to the airport) when their car was stuck! He literally diagnosed the problem and got the car in gear to get them home within minutes! He was so friendly, and genuine! Oh the headaches and money he saved this family!Most people these days won t just help, to help out of the goodness of their hearts, but he did just that!I will definitely use y all for our families cars from now on!

So very grateful to a friend who recommended Frank's Family Car Care. Joe felt like family before I even met him. I then discovered that excellent service, based on honesty and integrity, is still available to customers today. I dropped off my well-loved 1998 Buick thinking I might never see it again -- and came home with a new, safe car. Sincere gratitude to Joe and staff!

We had a problem with a vehicle we were towing to Florida. I looked at auto repair shops at our destination as we were traveling and called Frank's Family Car Care based on the great reviews they received. I found the reviews to be on point, Joe was fantastic! He got us in right away and gave us a loaner vehicle to use as he diagnosed the problems and provided a quote. He was very thorough and upfront about pricing and the repair timeline and provided frequent updates throughout the repair process. We had our car fixed and back within a week. We really appreciate you and will use your services in the future

Back brakes were grinding!! Found this repair shop so decided to take my diesel truck there. I couldn t believe how quick I could get in and they did a fabulous job. We re from Duluth, Mn. and we re leaving for back home March 1st so very happy we could get brakes done!! Friendly and fantastic to work with Franks Family Car Care

Above and beyond service! On our second day in Florida, the skip pan under our Escape was dragging due to the people who changed our oil before our drive down not properly tightening the screws when they did the service. A friend used our jumper cables as temporary bungee cords to make it safe to drive to our condo. Monday morning, my husband pulled into the lot at Frank s and walked in. Joe, the owner, asked for the keys and pulled the vehicle into a bay (all the lift bays were full, so he had to crawl underneath it). Ten minutes later, he came back, tossed the keys over, and said It s fixed . When my husband asked what do I owe? , Joe said nothing !!!! If you are local (and even if you aren t but in the area), this is the place to take your vehicle for service!!!!

No complaints. Very friendly and honest and took the time to explain everything from the problem to the cost to repair it.Took my truck to them because it was running rough and I couldn't find the problem. They looked at the truck immediately and searched for the problem. It was a very difficult problem to diagnose but he found it within a few hours. Explained the problem and cost to repair it and approximate time for the repair itself.

Since moving to Port Charlotte, they have been our mechanics. on occasion, they have identified a problem. and called to recommend an additional service. They corrected the problem with service and parts. We will be going back when needed.

Excellent service. We are from out of state and a car malfunction was a real vacation killer. They took my car in right away and it was fixed by 2pm. Car runs perfect again. Thanks a ton!

Frank s Family Car care saved my day! My car broke down on Sunday morning in a parking lot. Joe saw me having car trouble and fixed my car so that I could make it home and to the airport on time, and would not accept any payment. I will definitely be using Frank s family car care when I get back in town. By the way I am new to Port Charlotte and I am glad to have met Joe . My car was towed to this facility due to heating issue. Joan the receptionist was very cordial and knowledgeable and explained the process, being a first time visitor to the facility. By the evening, Joe the owner called and explained the issues and the approximate cost. The car was fixed before noon the next day. The work was professionally completed. I recommend this car repair service for their honesty, professionalism and fair pricing.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I highly recommend Franks if you re looking for an honest, friendly, and local mechanic. Joan at the front desk was very accommodating and got us in the next morning after we called. Joe took care of the brakes on our commercial vehicle. He was fair, friendly, and extremely communicative during the entire process. They had our van back to us the next morning so we could use it. I was referred to Frank's by another mechanic who didn't offer service on Euro cars. I am new to the area, and a woman. When I first called they were scheduling a couple of weeks out. I scheduled the appointment with Joan. She was pleasant, and asked all the right questions. She gave me information as requested. And even though they must be busy, she did not rush me or act as though my questions were an inconvenience. I dropped my car off the night before my appointment and they had a very secure system of after hours drop off. In the parking lot was a vehicle that looked to be offered as a temporary car for people having work done there. I was not offered this service but the service I purchased was completed in less than one day. I called the morning of my appointment to speak to the mechanic about what was going on. He explained everything very effectively and throughly, and again my questions were answered in the same manner. He had already driven my car to identify the problem, and his description of the problem matched my own experience exactly. I also that he did not claim to be exactly the right person for the job.He presented me with options, and a recommendation to a different machanic that was a specialist in the service that I need. I really appreciated and respected the fact he did not give me a runaround or charge me for a bunch of stuff that would have been superfluous to what was acually needed. I am incredibly grateful to have found a mechanic that I can trust and rely on. I will bring my car to the specialist that he recommend for that particular service. But I will continue to patronize Frank's for everything else. I highly recommend Frank's, and feel confident giving it to friends and family. This is very good garage with a nice family feeling. They don't try to get you to add on unnecessary services. Joe is a very good diagnostic mechanic plus he's a really good guy. Take your car to these people.BIG UPDATE: I was quoted $1,300 to repair a dipstick at a local garage. Joe did it for $127. Yeah, a dipstick!! This is my mechanic from here on.Big update 2: my battery was dying on Friday. They got me in and out in about 1/2 hour. This is the best shop in town. Integrity is when you help those who you can t help directly by taking your time to point them in the right direction. Frank called me back personally even though my service request was outside their service offerings. He asked some questions and then gave me feedback with local recommendations for getting the work I needed completed. That s first class service! And someone I ll use in the future when they can help.

I went into Frank's for a simple request to remove the splash guard from the front of my car perit I had been traveling and this was a place I spotted outside the business I was visiting. The gentleman was so kind and offered to take care of my situation and would not accept any compensation. He was very happy to serve me And sent me on my way. Is attitude and his graciousness is one that speaks miles for his business. I would go there again

First time customer here and I am very happy with their service. I had multiple problems going on with my Jeep and Joe went through each issue with me, explained clearly, and helped me prioritize. Customer service was excellent all around (kudos to Joan at the front desk too). Franks already has a great reputation in the Sarasota and Charlotte County area. This is why I went there to begin with. I got a very fast and fair quote for the service of my suspension as well as the inspection of my air conditioning. Joe took care of the situation and told me honestly and candidly with what I needed done, as well as what could wait. I have enough knowledge and experience with vehicles to know he was being transparent. It has now been two months since service and I just received a follow up from Joe. I have never had follow ups before on this type of work. These folks are true professionals. I would recommend them to anyone.Services: Steering & suspension repair, A/C installation & repair

Frank's truly is a family business and Joe and Krista treat you like family. I took my older truck in for a problem and Joe immediately determined the issue and recommended fix. Joe lets you know cost upfront, what should be addressed, what can wait, and never pushes anything on you. Even though Joe explained everything fully and said I could probably get by fine without it, I elected to do a much larger repair since I plan to keep my truck for several more years. Following the service and through no fault of Frank's, I had to go back a few more times for a problem. Joe determined what needed done and took care of everything with no extra cost to me. He is true to his word and he and Krista are just great people. I don't write reviews often as honestly, I just expect good customer service. Frank's deserves an outstanding review though as their customer service goes well beyond what you receive from most places now days. I won't hesitate to take my vehicle back to Frank's again.

Integrity. Honesty. Fairness. These aren't always words used to describe a mechanic, but it is what you will experience at Frank's Family Car Care. From the receptionist to the mechanics, Frank's is the best place to take your car. The prices are fair. There are no salesman tactics or pressure. Joe explains in easily understood detail what is going to be done to your car. He goes above and beyond making sure you leave with a well serviced car. I know absolutely nothing about car care outside of basic maintenance. The staff made sure I was well informed, estimates were provided, and they reassured me that it was their job to know about my car and make sure I was comfortable with what needed to be done. They are great people. Family owned and operated. Support this small business. Frank s Family Car Care is a excellent place for any of your car repairs. I love the family atmosphere, and Joe and Krista are both amazing. My car always run so much stronger and better when I take it to Frank s. Recently I have had an issue with my AC blowing out hot air (not good for Summer in Florida) and Joe Ordered the part and in less then 2 hours my car felt FANTASTIC with the icy cold air that was now coming through the new ac system. I highly recommended Frank s you won t be disappointed with their service!!!

The best repair shop that I have ever been to. Joe is great upfront and fair. Repairs are done correct the first time and done in a timely manner. Joe talks to you personally and explains what needs done. Joe kinda seems like that old school doctor who you can trust what he says and you know your vehicle is in good hands and will be fixed correctly not just a band aid that will take your money only to have to have it fixed again down the road. If you need repairs choose Frank's they will not let you down.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Once upon a time, this little baby was sick, there were several issues, but thanks to the people at Frank's Family Car Care she runs like she is suppose to, I had been to another Un Name Place very close to Franks where I was hosed! They are more like Sears Roebuck then a shop. Replace till we find whats wrong is how they work, which is why I will not even Buy "Tires" from them and That's what their known for. From now on all my cars go to Franks Family Car Care

I usually go to another auto service place that I was happy with, but since they were closed and I had a nail in my tire and oil change due, I decided to give Frank's a try. Sooo happy I did! Krista treated me like family and told me I could bring it in right away. I was taken care of as if it was their own vehicle and I believe I found a new service center that I'll be going to from now on. I recommend them fully! My tires were rotated for no extra charge with oil change...even the other place I liked a lot didn't do that AND no charge for tire plug! Great place! Thank you!

I m sure everybody has heard that old saying, you get what you pay for . It is 100% true and especially with Franks Car care. They treat your vehicle as if it is their own and it shows. They are not the company that will go with the cheaper parts to save money, you get great work right along with great parts. Something to say about family owned businesses, they make you feel as your family and not just another repair. I have been bringing my personal vehicles to Franks Car Care for 10 years and I will not go anywhere else because I know what I m getting with Franks, Great quality and great work. Thank you!

I m new to the area so I have no idea who is reputable around here and who isn t I found Franks family auto and read some reviews and decided to give them a shot I stopped in today and dropped my van off the front desk lady is so nice ! Joe came out and talked to me asking what was going on with my van and we left it there to get looked at he gave us a call back a little while later and told us what the problem seems to be and since I m under an extended warranty recommended a Chrysler dealership I should go to when we came back to get the van he took pics of the problem and explained to us what is going on he seriously is so nice and took his time with us I didn t feel rushed or anything and i truly believe he is an honest mechanic he which is very hard to find well for me at least lol he didn t even charge me when we came in which seriously meant a lot to me since times a very very tough I will 100 % deff be coming back for any future repairs and recommending him to family out here . Thank you joe for helping us out !
