Hands down the best and reasonably priced car shop i've ever been to! Larry is the best an their mechanics work hard to get your car up and running. Many of the other car shops were charging so much I was considering buying a new car, until I found American Auto Air Conditioning. If you have any compressor issues, this is the best place in town! Highly recommend them!

Highly recommend!!! If I can give Larry and his guys more than 5 stars I would. The replaced a Ac compressor, condenser/drier and a few lines on my expedition, and I Finally have AC back after years of other guys taking a look, and having no idea why it wasn't holding a charge or even working. He warranties the work he does as well!!! Which is huge. Man of his word. Again, Highly recommended. If the need arises on any other vehicle. I will definitely use him again.

Larry was one of the nicest men I've ever dealt with in the auto repair business. Mechanics looked over my car, found the problem and made appointment for next day. Fixed it fast and for a lot less money than I expected. The mechanics even explained how they did it when I picked up the vehicle. My air went out in my car and was referred to American auto air conditioning from my mechanic Jeff from Jeff's auto in northport. I am so grateful for the referral my air was fixed the next day and they even gave me a van to use while the car was being fixed. I really dislike leaving a bad review. I always give a person. More than one chance. Two separate incidents I am very displeased about. One he diagnosed our car. Told us definitely that that was the issue. And if it wasn't, he wouldn't charge use. We left paying him 700 dollars without the car repaired. Then, I got a price for one of my trucks to be repaired. Gave me a price, then went back, and he said he would never price it that low. I checked with other shops and received a lower price than he quoted. I seriously think his mind is going. Because he does not honor the words that come from his mouth. So seriously, get it in writing. As for me, I won't be back. After 35 years of being a loyal customer amounted to absolutely nothing.

5 STARS! The best car experience i could've asked for. Larry told me it would be done in 2 days but got it done the same day! I dropped my car off at 8AM and was ready by 3PM. He even loaned me a car for the day so i didn't have to worry about getting home. A/C is the coldest its ever been in my car and i will continue to come back! Cheapest place i found all over Charlotte County! DO NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!Services: A/C installation & repair, Air conditioning

They were honest about checking my ac on car amd said my compressor was bad..they told me if I have extended warranty to go to Nissan dealership. Should be covered and replaced under my extended warranty. I did. They were spot on. Thanks for checking my Ac unit to tell.me.whats wrong.

Be careful my dad and I got scammed. Went in for my AC not working! He replaced a condenser and said it should be fine and charged $800. Three weeks later go back because the AC isn t working again. Quoted me $1500. He said there was a leak somewhere and all the seats would have to come out! So I m never going back there. My AC wasn t looked at properly from the beginning and just threw in some new parts and didn t fix the problem. Super disappointed.Service: A/C installation & repair

Was not happy at all. Gave me a price to replace my condenser fan. The fan on the bill was $350 ,just for the fan. I thought that was expensive so I went to the auto parts store. I could of bought the same thing for $85. I ask why and , he said thay use better quality. Ya right. Don't go there it's not worth itService: Air conditioningService: Air conditioning

Highly recommend!!! Owner, Larry stands up to his great reputation. Brought my Nissan in for A/C repair. He thought he might have to replace evaporator core, an expensive repair. Turns out, just needed to replace leaky valves and o-rings. Saved me lots! He's friendly, honest and explains the repairs even I can understand. He even warranties the work, which is huge! He was highly recommended to me by two different people and now I will highly recommend him to others. Customer Service A+!Service: Air conditioning

If you are looking for a reliable and affordable AC shop for your car, look no further. Larry the owner is a great person and treats his customers with respect and honesty. I needed to have my AC Freon serviced after replacing the AC accumulator drier. American Auto Air made the process very easy and provided a great price! Larry and his guys are the best. They fixed my AC issues, where others could not.Larry is an old fashioned guy who is a man of his word. If he says he will fix it, he and his staff will not stop until they do. They are definitely worth every penny.I greatly appreciate the work and dedication they put into getting my vehicle fixed. Took my truck back in February for my A/C to be fixed. The owner and his crew were very professional, friendly and efficient. My truck has been blowing out ice cold A/C since. Wont take my vehicles anywhere else from now on. Drive down from tampa just because he s the most honest AC shop. Super super affordable and will tell you exactly what s wrong with it even if it s something cheap and simple.

Service was exceptional and customer focused. The owner gave me advice on how I could save money by doing parts of the job myself if I felt comfortable. It saved me over half of the cost of the quoted repair, which was already several hundred cheaper than quotes I had gotten from the dealership and other shops.

I chose this place because of the reviews and let me tell you, I am not disappointed! Larry is the absolutely best person to deal with. He is so honest and kind. I was recommended to go here by a customer of mine. I have a 99 jeep Cherokee, and the AC wasn't blowing very well. I'd suffered for the handful of years I've owned this vehicle. I stopped by on a a Thurs and had Larry the owner take a look. He had me bring my car Monday am, and when I dropped my car off he even asked if I needed a ride to work. Thankfully I wasn't without my vehicle for long, and the price was more than affordable. $75 for the part, and to think I drove around for how many years thinking my AC was just not that great. I ran into another issue, called Larry and they got my car in and out promptly. I will recommend anyone who asks about AC work to this man. He and his team are competent, swift and no frills. They tell you exactly what's wrong, and what it'll take to fix.

I've done business with American Auto Air Conditioning two or three times now. Larry, the business owner, and his staff are terrific. They are very honest and trustworthy, and the work is completed at a very fair price. They were recommended to me by a former coworker, and I in turn have recommended them to everyone I encounter who has experienced problems with their vehicle's air conditioning. Thanks for everything Larry and Staff!!!

Absolutely the best A/C repair shop!!! Don't even bother bringing your vehicle anywhere else for AC repairs.The owner Larry is Polite, Professional, and Humble in his business, which seems to be nonexistent elsewhere nowadays.Buy far the best automotive repair I have ever experienced. The owner Larry is a very genuine person you can trust this man beyond the shadow of a doubt their knowledge of air condition in automotive field are among the best I've ever seen in over 40 years trustworthy and honest beyond compare to anyone else if you have an air condition issue or heating issue with your automobile this place is the place to brings your car you can trust what Larry. I have been dealing with him for Many many years keep up the good work

I called Friday morning explaining my air was not as cold as it should be. My car is a mini and new to me but I bought it used. He said I could come by in the afternoon. Larry checked it over (while socially distancing). He explained a few quirks of this type of car then explained the reason it wasn't cooling properly. He said if it didn't improve on a super hot sunny day to bring it back. It works well now and he would not even accept a tip for his time. A true gentleman and smart business man. So happy I found them!!! Honest and trustworthy!

We dealt with Larry for years and always has excellent service. We moved out of the area and are back for the season. Fortunately our air went out when we got to Florida and not somewhere else. Larry fixed it so we now have ice cold air. We bought this car used and when Larry was fixing it he found some issues that someone had put a bandaid on instead of properly fixing them. They are now properly fixed. You can always count on Larry to be honest and do a great job at a very reasonable price.

great experience. the owner is honest and a nice guy. the cost was well below what he had quoted us up front, plus he did extra things like replace our wiper blades and brake fluid at no cost just because he noticed it needed done. he didn't replace that didn't need it, and did a great job and had it done exactly when he said would have it done. would recommend to anyone!
