My boyfriend and I live in California, he needed a new transmission for his Ford. We got a few quotes near us and were given really high estimates. A friend recommended Poppy s Transmissions in FL and they helped us understand exactly what we were paying for and lowered the cost tremendously. It was shipped immediately and we haven t had any issues with the car since. I don t normally right reviews but I had such a great experience working with Poppy s I wanted to share it so others could have the same.

Poppy's Transmissions really helped me out purchasing a transmission for my husband. He owns a 1970 Camaro which he loves very dearly. The team at Poppy's were able to find the right application for his vehicle.They had great customer service - anytime I had a question / concern they got back to me within 24 hours. I will definitely be going back and highly recommend anyone looking for a transmission to contact Poppy's!

I highly recommend Poppy's Transmissions for your all transmissions needs. I had contacted multiple companies and got no response and finally called Poppy's which answered right away and figured out my specific needs and built a transmission within 3 business days and delivered under a week to my front door. Unbelievable customer service.

STAY AWAY LEARN FROM MY MISTAKES. So this is going to be a long review. I found a advertisement of 4r70w remanufactured transmissions of face book and contacted poppys transmissions. George was willing to work with me even though I was over 200 miles away. I played for my remanufactured transmission on a Tuesday and it was supposed to arrive that Friday. The following Friday I received the wrong transmission I contacted George and he apologized for the inconvenience and said they would send me my transmission out Monday morning and I would receive the following business day. A week later a truck shows up to pick up the wrong transmission but didn't bring the right transmission with them like George said after talking with George he said he would send my transmission as soon as the got the other transmission back. I reluctantly sent it out with my core so at that time I had no transmission. 2 weeks later I received the transmission I originally purchased George told us the transmission was ready to go just ad fluid and drive (if I open the pan it would voided the warranty) . My mechanic installed it and and added the right amount of fluid and the transmission wouldn't do anything after contacting George he made it seem as the mechanic did something wrong. He said I had not added enough fluid and needed to check the pressures. My mechanic checked pressures and it was 3x what it should have been I spoke with George and he said pill it out and send it back they would send me another one. Once he opened the pan my mechanic realized there was no filter installed before the sealed the pans and there was a valve laying in the pan. I explained all of this to George and he apologized for the inconvenience and said he would make it right. Now this after a lot of broken promises and lies about shipping he finally asked me to drop the transmission off at the shipment center (almost 3 months after payment) he sent another transmission witch George told me he personally rebuilt to assure there would be no further issues. I had to pick it up from the shipment center after installing this transmission (built by George himself) it had no 3rd or 4th gear. Tried to contact George for almost 2 weeks and never got through to him the transmission came with a 1year unlimited mile warranty being that it didn't have any miles it needed to be fixed by them. But could no longer get a hold of George. He promised to send me back $500 for inconvenience before I received the last transmission (never came) as well as send me fake tracking numbers/bill of loading. He even sent me a tracking number for a transmission going too the wrong location. So after 3 transmission from this company I took it into a local shop only to find out the pump bolts were stripped inside of the transmission and the valve body was cracked somewhere internally and could never have worked properly. So I had to buy another transmission for this shop to rebuild and install to finally get my truck running again almost $4000 later I got my truck back after it not running for 5 months due to this shops inability and lies. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY THEY WILL TELL YOU ANYTHING TO GET YOUR MONEY. Then tell you every lie in the book .

I bought a poppys transmission about a year ago for my hummer H2 it's still running strong and I live in Texas and just order my second transmission from poppys. A stage 1 700r4 for my project car. 1970 impala. Great service great company. can't wait for arrival. Thank you poppys transmissions.

Rebuilt and istalled my trans 4l60e not a hard job. Burnt up after less then 6 mths and he refused to fix it. He installed it along with a new rear main seal in my engine and that started to leak after 3-4 mths later . Trucks still under Poppy's warranty but he to told me to meet him at the shop on saturday, I towed my truck there on a tow dolly lucky I have one he never showed. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and waited two hours calling him with no response never showed. Finally he texted me to bring it next to Saturday so I being an optimistic guy I towed it over to his shop. It's not like I live a block away I live a county away. Same thing happened then he never answered his text or calls from me again. Stay away from poppys

Poppys transmissions exceeded my expectations. They sent a perfect 4l60e to Australia and it arrived in no time. Great customer service, no complaints. Will defiantly be ordering from them again!

This place is amazing. Brought a bad transmission online didn t know it was bad until it was put on the van. That wasn t a problem Poppy dropped the transmission back out my van rebuild it and put it back in. The van runs like a new van now. This place is greatest around. Your out in a day. No overnight work.

Do yourself a favor and stay away from this shop and guy! He does not know what he is doing and is a crook. My transmission in my work van went bad 2 days after I got it back from poppy . When I called him and told him about it he told me he would call back and never did nor returned any of my phone calls. So much for his 1 year warranty.

I just purchased a 4l60 transmission online and got it suprisingly fast. My ls1 is running so much harder now with the stage 2 package. Great guy and great products.

Very great experience, quick, realiable, and reasonable pricing! Went in for my transmission and found out it was a separate issue, but he still took care of it within the timeframe he gave me!!! He is definitely the mechanic for me!!

Seems like a real homest guy but when it comes time to fix something under warranty he will not answer the phone or contact you back. This is from a real transmission shop what they did 5 mths after poppys rebuilt it and refused to fix it

I've been driving my 2005 lincoln town car for so long with a bad stator that everytime i leave from a stop i still be expecting a jolt forward to go n waiting for a rev in between 3rd and 4th. And my eyes play with me every now and then, and i think i see the OD/Off light flashing, But it doesn't happen and it reminds me you got it back A1. Its Amazing!! I'm just sooo damn happy. Thank you!!!

Nice guy but I guess he can't rebuild a transmission. He gives this great warranty but when it comes time something breaks. He won't answer the phone after the first call telling him somethings wrong

The shop rebuilt my transmission in my Honda Civic and lost reverse 3 months later and refuse to fix it told me he was off shore working that the shop is no longer open has a 3-year unlimited mile warranty but still won't fix it I ended up having to have my local mechanic fix it he said the whole transmission was shot

THESE GUYS DEFINETLY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. MOST SHOPS ARE SCARED TO TACKLE A MANUAL TRANSMISSION, BUT THESE GUYS NO SWEAT!!!! THANKS AGAIN AND HIGHLY RECOMENDED HONEST GUYS.
