The experience I had today at Pep Boys Pompano Beach location was incredibly disappointing. My spouse and I scheduled separate appointments for our vehicles. We were both present at the appointed time and I entrusted my vehicle s key to my spouse to initiate the service for my car.However, the attendant at the service desk didn t start working on my car even 1.5 hours after the scheduled time, despite promptly servicing my spouse s vehicle. When I inquired about the delay, I received a rather impertinent response stating first come, first served. Despite having an appointment, I had to postpone my service due to the distress of my small children. Nevertheless, customers arriving after me were prioritized, and their vehicles were serviced promptly. This situation leaves customers with scheduled appointments uncertain about when they will actually receive service.Considering the situation with my young children and the failure to honor my appointment time, I wanted to share my dissatisfaction with this experience.

We dealt with Pep Boys on Copans Rd twice during our stay in Pompano Beach. We received excellent service from Shannon and the service team there. We first went for a tire repair, found it could not be repaired and Shannon found a tire at a good price with a military discount. Some other recommendations were made. Unfortunately, we chose to go to the local Hyundai dealer for service and they overcharged and tried to sell us things we didn't need. We came back to Pep Boys and Shannon for 2 new front tires and alignment. Again, we got a reasonable price and the military discount. The work was done in a reasonable amount of time. We would recommend the Pep Boys and Shannon to anyone for service. We are very satisfied.

Would've given them 5 stars because the employees are courteous & efficient. However, due to corporate greed they don't allow customers to supply their own parts anymore but of course they claim it's due to liability. If it's due to liability allow one to sign a liability waiver.

Service was quick and efficient. Price for new tires was very competitive with other local shops. Able to get same day appointment. I recommend calling to ensure they have tires in stock before making an appointment in case they need to order. Staff very nice. Comfortable waiting room.

I've been going to this store for 7 years. After they merged with Auto Zone and remodeled the place things were ok for awhile. My last visit was horrendous. The new check in staff was unprofessional and dismissive.I get my truck back and the tires were improperly rotated. I know because I marked them. The slow leak in my tire was not fixed and was told it can't be and I had to get a new tire... after they were the ones who did the previous patch in the first place! I don't even think he took the tire off the rim as the tire had the same pressure as when I dripped it off. And the complimentary inspection had incorrect information on it.I don't know what happened to the old floor staff but bring them back!

WARNING!!!!....Can't trust them...they lied about my break pads needing to be replaced. 3 months later I brought my car somewhere else, and they said that my brake pads were still okay. So at the time when I brought the car to this place, they were bold-faced lying to me and scamming me for money.... in conclusion, they will lie to you about things that you need, just so that they can charge you. I even went back and looked at my pads, and they were still like new

I had an excellent experience. The staff explained what was needed - Charles was excellent and actually showed me. It's awesome that there is a woman working here in customer service - Shannon was excellent

Do not waste your time with this location. They don t honor warranty on their products because it doesn t make them money. Purchased a battery 2 years ago from another pep boys and it was going bad. Still under warranty. Came in and was told they could not even battery test the car today (takes less than a minute). He said rudely I have to come back in 3-4 days. My battery is dying. My truck may not start in 3-4 days . I already had a print out from next door (autozone) stating that it was bad, and I had just done it right before walking in. Even showed him that to prove it. He told me it s only valid if he does it. That's fine, I understand so I asked then if he could just check it really quickly then to confirm and I offered to change the battery myself there in the parking lot. He said no he wouldn t even just check it he is too busy. Even said he would still have to charge install. Which is absurd, charging for a service I was doing myself . He then told me that I don t have original receipt and that he can t prove if I even bought the battery from a pepboys. I told him that he can just look up my phone number in the system and see but he then said "well I don t know if I have the batteries in stock then." Excuse after excuse. I left and while looking for other locations saw the gentleman that helped me sit there for another 20min. He could have checked my battery in the time it took him to check his Facebook.I called the other Pepboys that's sold me the battery (40min away - i moved) and they were stunned at this locations response and told me that warranty and battery issues take PRIORITY according to company policy. I went to the other location and they checked battery to confirm in 4minutes and then authorized the warranty change and I changed it myself to not bog down their service department. They too were busy and couldn t do it til end of day but at least took the time to test it immediately. Took me 15min to change myself and saved them needing do it. Knowing about cars, and working on my own truck, the service here was terrible and I will NEVER recommend anyone buy from them or get work done here. What scares me more is someone who is not as experienced as myself would have been taken advantage of here with their lies and laziness. I would not trust leaving my car for the day with them. Other problems not covered by warranty that would cost me sure would come up. Go to ANY other pep boys.

Do not trust these people! Went there to replace a belt and they installed the wrong one. When we went back less than a month later, they had us go back the next day for a 9:00am appointment. They didn t look at it until after 1:00pm! Then said that a heat hose that was fine and not leaking until we got there. Said it needed to be replaced and had to have a currier.bring it from Miami because they didn t have it in stock. What started off as a simple replacement ended up being over $500 bill. After returning home checked under the hood and they didn t put clamps back on properly. Complete scam. Will never trust or go there again.

Amazing experience. Matthew, is a valuable asset to that location. He was extremely informative, friendly, and helped guide me through a recent purchase of 4 new tires for my vehicle. I am beyond happy with the end result, they definitely pay attention to detail. Good customer service is hard to come by these days, but it goes along way when you receive it. Definitely locked in a repeat customer! 5 stars across the board!!

I would like to thank specifically Sharon who deserves full recognition for her great personality and customer service most importantly the communication was top tier to my standards with the shop. When they called me for the techs recommendations after the inspection it was well explained and they didn t make me feel obligated to do anything and left it all my decision. My car was done in just a few hours which was amazing, no run arounds at least with my experience and im satisfied with Charle s work as my tech. My car is running great for my little road trip, no issues. Simple in and out service.

I took my car in for an alignment and two new tires, Aldo in the Sunrise Blvd store recommended a real great handling tire. When I went to pick up my car, they told me the alignment machine broke, and Juan the other manager immediately called Adam at Pompano, who was able to get me in, and align my car. My Mini Cooper has been treated right. Most shops would have not gone the distance, like they did , to help a customer on such a timely basis. This is why I take my personal and work vehicles to Pep Boys

May 2023 - Business Trip - Deerfield Beach, FLI came in for a change of oil and unfortunately I had to change one of my tires.Metthew helped me and he was great from the beginning till the end. Very professional and nice. He tried to help me out in every way he could.He even came to me while I was in the meeting room to let me know he was going to lunch and in case he wasn't coming back on time, he left someone else in charge.Stan was also amazing and so friendly! He proceed with the checking out processThank you!

Let s start with extreme price gouging on cost of parts. (DOES NOT INCLUDE LABOR) valve cover gasket $221 pepboys $70 autozone. O2 sensors $492.97 & $282.67 pepboys $141.99 & $79.99 autozone.My car has always had problems pepboys has never been able to figure out. Car is having trouble starting and has been getting worse. After a little research I was sure o2 sensors won t fix my car when starting as o2 sensor aren t used by the car at all until it s already running. I was told they need replacing only because the computer gave the codes as if they re bad. I declined sensors requested the valve gasket be replaced and pepboys refused. The guy on the phone knew nothing about cars, wouldn t let me talk to the mechanic fixing my car and told me it was an all or nothing deal I either pay for everything they recommended blindly off computer codes or take it somewhere else.I took it elsewhere. The valve gasket was half the total cost of pepboys so that worked out! Turned out what I was trying to tell them was the issue was the issue and they didn t listen to a word as if I m clueless and they re experts so just shut up and pay for what we tell you and goodluck because we never end up fixing anything.PCV valve was replaced awhile ago but the hose was clogged and needed to be replaced. Easy job but there s no magic computer code that comes back, in fact it gives off misleading bad o2 sensor codes because it s an intake vacuum leak and the engine isn t burning the correct air/fuel. So pepboys would have charged over $900 to replace o2 sensors that are perfectly fine and leave my car still broken. The guy even said I don t know what s wrong with your engine maybe your piston rings are bad basically I don t care. It was a terrible experience that could have been much much worse if I trusted them and let them work in my car again. This place is garbage.

I came here because it was close to my place and they have availability of the tires I needed, at least the site told me that, so the person through the phone too. I added the tires to the online cart, I scheduled the appointment and selected pay online. The schedule was for 1:00p, I asked an estimated time and 3:30p what I got, so I decided to wait because I came with my laptop. When I noticed at least two cars behind me in the line being finished before mine at 4:30p, I asked the Help Desk person what was going on and the answer was that he just found out that their inventory was short and they needed to bring 2 tires from another store. They offered me wheel alignment at no cost for the inconvenience but I don t think that I ll be back doing business with this carshop. I could understand the missmatch between online inventory and the real availability but they should have verified their local inventory whenever I arrived and handed the keys. Also unacceptable that they didn't communicate th issue to me in time so I could have done other things other than be sitting at the waiting room. Help desk person was nice so th mechanic that gave me the keys, but a business doesn't run with nice personal, but effective workers. Unfortunately for me this wasn't a good experience.

A couple of months ago I took my SUV into the Lake Worth Pep Boys and had a nightmare getting 4 tires installed. I gave a very negative review that was well warranted. Last week I took my wife's SUV to the Pompano Beach Pep Boys for 4 tire installation. The experiences could not have been more disimilar.

This new crew I encountered Saturday 1/13/24, was definitely one of the best services teams I've had in awhile. My oil change didn't take all day, I was finally informed my vehicle was ready (without having to call them first) and the camaraderie was awesome.

I don't recommend this place.I came to buy new tires with installation and do wheel balancing. There was no queue at the service and there were 3 cars in the workshop and despite this they changed the tires within 3 hours. The mechanic who worked with my car was always away. The work that could have been done in 1 hour was stretched for 3 hours.They scratched all 4 aluminum disks when they removed the old weights. The new weights were glued on poorly. And on top of it all, the mechanic broke the pressure sensor on one of the wheels.I'm very upset about that. I had to go to the car dealer and have a new sensor installed at my own expense.

I had a flat tire after picking my Mom up from the airport and it was pouring rain. I went into the Copans location to see if they could change it and I was told no, they were all booked up. The Manager saw the frustration on my face and asked what the problem was. After I explained I was far away from home and had no way to change my tire, he said don't worry I will pull someone off a job to help you out so you can get home. I can;t thank him enough for his help and professionalism.

I bought a EFB battery in the AutoZone next door a couple of months ago and got it installed at this Pep boys place. Today I started having issues with the battery. I took my car back to AutoZone to check it out and they realized that the battery I had installed was not sold by them. They do not sell that brand.That being said, we concluded that the guy who installed it, switched my new battery and installed a bad battery on my car. Stay away from this business and its sketchy ways of deceiving its customers.

I had some issues going on with my vehicle the past two weeks. I made an appointment within an hour, and my car was fully serviced, inspected and the issue was resolved all within 24hours. Matthew answered all of my questions with in depth knowledge and made it a great experience from the start. Eddie was my mechanic who swiftly fixed the issue and was able to explain everything in detail.I m used to my car being at the shop for a week and not always getting answers on what the issue is.I will be getting my car serviced here from now on, every time.

I can't believe the lack of respect for customers. I made a 7 am appointment and was told that I would be the 1st car in. I showed up at 6:55 am, door opened at 7am and gave my keys. They told me it would be in the bay in a few minutes. I came back from my breakfast at 7:42 am and it's still sitting in the same spot. I asked the employee if my car was ready and I was told it will go in soon. The mechanic has to finish his morning routine of sweeping out the out of the entire garage. It is now 7:55 am , watching him emptying garbage cans. Now 8:02 am, finally going into the bay. 8:14 am car finished. I never had rotation, balance and alignment check so quick. ,8:22 am. Now waiting since 8:16 to check out with no one else in store. 8:25 am done! 1 hour 25 minutes for a 1st appointment 12 minute tire rotation, balance and alignment check or was it? Update, I received a text with my courtesy vehicle inspection: so , in 12 minutes on top of rotating tires, check the balance and alignment, he was able to check my steering & suspension, shocks & struts, exhaust, check all my fluids, belts , hoses, air filter, cabin air filter, evaluate the condition of my tires, check brake, rotors, OBD test, including a battery test that indicates my battery is weak ( but not tell me until I am 10 minutes a way by text. I think I should contact the Guinness book of World Records.Update: The new store manager contacted me within 48 hours. He explained to me that there was no excuse for how I was treated and offered me the opportunity to come in and have the full service that I was told that I received.

Horrible service. Was quoted 210 for tire installation and camber bolt install on a 2012 civic. They came back with a price increase to 330 because it would be 2 hours labor each side to install oem camber bolts due to the fact that they would have to heat and insert the bolt, which is false, since Ive replaced this part in previous cars before. After clarifying to him that the procedure he mentioned does not require any of the methods he explained and that i knew he was lying to me, the adjuster went back to the mechanic. The mechanic threw a fit in the store when he saw the original price the adjuster mentioned. At the end, the asked me to install the camber bolts myself at home and come back for an alignment because the mechanic was unwilling to do the install for less than 300 dollars, not including an alignment. Total would have ran near 450 minimum for tire install, oem camber bolt replacement, and an alignment(with all OEM parts included and supplied by AutoZone)TLDR Stay away from this shop

Through out a very expensive repair that we did not anticipate, we were given the absolute best possible hospitality & customer service. Though the money was stressful, A representative by the name of Ms Shannon took care of us through out the entire process. She gave us valuable updates by teaching me about the parts that were broken so that the price made more sense. She was very understanding and made sure that my goals were met & we were left as peaceful as possible. Finally after a few days in the shop, Mr Ray the Store Manager ensured that on the way out of the shop that the car was in optimal condition. I have dealt with many auto shops & specifically pep boys in the past, I have had about 9 cars, this is the best pep boys in the nation hands down. Lead by Mr Ray, Ms Shannon, & even just one of the mechanics that I met Mr Edward. The team was five stars and I couldn't be more satisfied. FIVE STARS

Brought care in and had lights on dashboard. 1st it was my tires, which were 1 1/2 old and not worn then once I said, no they are good, they charged me for a diagnostic test to tell me it was a sensor (not the tires) and it was going to be almost $1,100. Needless to say I went to another shop and ALL in, including diagnostics, it s was $370.

Easy to schedule online and find your exact tires and what is in stock, nice staff, quick service (less than 2 hours to replace tires) and nice waiting room if you want to hang out.

Update 2, I got there at 11 am for my appointment, at 1 pm I find out that even though it said they had my tires instock they didn't. They had to go get 2 tires, they didn't tell me this until I complained. If they had told me I would have gone home for lunch. Being a diabetic lunch is important. But they kept it a secret. I left there after 4 hrs. But I guess it could have been worse, the man checking out with me had been there 6 hrs.From what I can see there is no management at the store.Update: I guess Pep Boys Auto is no more but the tire dept is still there. Interesting. I purchased my tires online and set an appointment for installation the next day for 11 am. That all went smoothly but when I got there at 11 am, I was told a tire guy called in sick and they were behind. It happens but I hadn't planned on spending so much time there. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Sadly the waiting area is bad and small. 6 seats. A second area when you walk in has some seating to. Too bad the store experience wasn't as good as the online experience.Easy to find. Good parking. Friendly staff. Had what we needed.
