January of 2022 my 2005 ford excursion transmission was built and replaced by them with what I was told was a build unit for the mods done to my truck. The same day I got the truck back and drove 100 miles the transmission completely stopped working. Marc was great and towed it from my house 2 hours north of his shop and fixed it. Was told there was an issue with a pinch seal in a drum. This part was great dealing with Marc, and how he handled it, I was not supplied a receipt and was told it was not needed.August 30 of 2023 the truck stopped shifting into 5 and was jerky in reverse with a fault for the solenoid d and flashing to haul, I called the shop and someone new answered who was difficult to deal with but finally told me to have it towed in. Once the tow truck picked it up I texted them to let them know it was on the way as requested, I was met with a hostile sounding message saying I can't just tow my car in whenever I wanted I needed an appointment. After statingI called earlier and was told to tow it and he seemed to remember. After waiting till September 13th and receiving no update I called and once again spoke to the same person who was again a little aggressive and told me they were busy and would let me know when they had an update. September 20th I called again and was finally told by the angry person that Mark was replacing the valve body and torque converter to be safe and �he said he would call later to pick it up. He called at the end of the day saying it was ready and once again when the truck was picked up we were told no receipt was needed.Now March 14 2024 �, 46 days out of warranty and maybe a few thousand miles after previous repair the truck once again isn't going into 5th and is jerking in reverse with a flashing tow haul. I called and the same person answered, I explained what was going on and that it was previously repaired but is now out of warranty. I asked if they were willing to look at it and let me know or help me out. He placed me on hold and spoke to Marc and told me he needed a receipt to see what was done which I explained I never have received one for anything done and was told this is odd and wouldn't happen. He then said he would have to dig through their receipts which were paper and would take awhile as it was several years ago and may take awhile and it seemed like my mods were causing the failure not the work done. I explained I spoke to Marc and the transmission was built to meet the mods done at which he said didn't seem right but they would get back to me once the receipt is found. Now March 27th I called for an update if they found the receipt, �he told me that he never said that and I must have misunderstood him as that's not something he would have done or said. At most he would pass the message on to Mark, he also stated several times that the trans being out of warranty meant there was nothing they could do not even willing to help. I am now stuck with a supposedly built transmission that doesn't work and no documentation on what was done so no other shop is willing to look at it as they don't know the work performed.Shortly after posting my first review Marc reached out to me and offered to help, he stated the transmission was out of warranty but would cover 50% of the rebuild. The cost had doubled since my first rebuild and would cost me $2996 with tax, which is $28 less than I paid previously. I accepted and towed to him Friday and received a call Tuesday at 3:00 stating it was done. The issue began when I asked if they found the cause of the problem. I was informed that the direct drum rings from the shift kit that they have used, is prematurely wearing down the drum in 6 months to a year causing pressure loss and burning the clutches.� I was also told the shift kit had been recalled by the manufacturer but I would have to still pay. I was told a deal is a deal. So not only were defective parts installed causing the failure but I was told there was no warranty, but they warrantied out parts to cover their cost otherwise he would have made me pay for it a

Omg..I was so frustrated and so stressed out that I lost my transmission on Dec,6 on my 2016 chevy traverse..Until I day I called 954 transmission and I first spoke with Mark the owner and he bid me a good price..Then I called back and spoke with the father Stuart..he alway was so humble and going over what was in the system.They are so amazing, professional people, very nice, humble, and always tries to help there customers. I LOVE THIS PLACE THEY ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THANKS GUYS

I was happy with the work intill my truck started acting up not shifting and getting stuck in the same gear it only lasted a year i called them just to get the run around saying id be put on a waiting list never got a call back or anything till this day its crazy how warranty doesn t matter anymore i just went ahead and owned up to taking a lost

Don t waste your moneyI brought my car, the mechanic connect the scanner and the transmission was not shifting from 5 to 6. After a week I pick up the car on Friday and was not working properly, they told me to wait a few days for adjusting.On Monday I was back, I don t know what they did but Wednesday I was back again, that week I left the car for 3 weeks.After 3 weeks, I was without a car for 3 weeks, with the expectation it was going to be perfect. However pick up the car drove 2 days and I had to tow the car back.Againg after 2 weeks, I received the car and worst I couldn t make it home. I took the car to another mechanic and the scanner now shows they ruin the computer it is not taking signals. Something was working before dropping the car and it is not. They do not recognize their mistake, worst hung up the phone on my the owner Mark, when I asked if he would consider doing a refund.Worst experience ever, almost 2 months without a car and now I have to junk it, they made things worse.

These people here are really genuine people. They are the only transmission shop that gave me a straight answer, also a straight up price. Plus you can't beat a 2 year warranty with unlimited miles. I brought my 91 YJ in for a complete rebuild of the Ax5 manual transmission. Marc saved me $1000 from other estimates. It shifts great! It took him a little over a week, but that's ok, it is a 28 year old transmission. I would give him my business again!

I spent over $2300 on a transmission rebuild. And my truck still isn t running properly, turns out they don t cover the electrical components in the warranty so they didn t change them out. Worst service ever!!! Horrible work,Mark was extremely unprofessional! Don t waste your money here! I had to go to a new mechanic the cost of the repairs that mark did on my truck was over 3k.

The worst Shop you could ever bring your vehicle to! You might save a few $ up front but will spend way more fixing the horrible work they do! Like you see in other reviews, all Mark will do is say it s a fake review and cry a little more. I own a rental business and Mark has done 4 of my cars, all of which are performing perfect. He also took care of any other problems that could potentially cause issues down the road like, cv axles, rear main seals, brakes and battery and if he couldn't do it he recommended to somebody who could.Highly recommended!Services: Transmission, Brakes, Battery, Oil change

Great place for transmission work took my Camaro there and had Marc install a new torque converter, B&M super cooler with some custom black nylon -6 AN hoses and some spicer U joints. I wish I can give them 0 star but there is no option for that . They had fixed our van for over $2k + for transmission with a 2 years warranty , the car Broke down a week later for the same Issue, we had called they told they will pick the car the fallowing day and never show up mine you this is our Business van we had to get a rental that cost over 1k a week , it s been 29 days they never touch the car .Do not use this place they awfulService: Transmission

After receiving several extremely high priced quotes for my transmission repair I ran across Marc who from the beginning was honest and timely. He gave me an extremely fair price, a peace of mind and was extremely attentive. I would highly recommend if you need a transmission or are having any issues to give Marc a call, don't get ripped off by others! 5 *

Man let me tell you that not only did I call and receive a quote in minutes! But I was towed off 95 in less then 25 min from setting things up with Stuart. Stuart kept his word and rebuilt my transmission for the exact price he quoted me! I was back on the road in less then a day and my 2010 Chevy van shifts better then it ever did, even when I bought it off the lot it didn t shift this good! 6 stars if it was possible, absolute great job and the lowest price I could find!

The service is great. Soon as I brought my truck to them, they diagnosed it and started fixing it right away. The owner is a really good guy and never tried to stick talk in any form, he's a very straight forward guy. I will always do business with him and refer people to him.

954 Transmissions is an excellent transmission repair shop. My father brought his Van to them and they were able to rebuild the transmission within 3 days and did a great job! If you are in need of transmission service for your vehicle, 954 Transmissions is the place to go. Not only did they meet our needs, but exceeded our expectations. Marc is a great mechanic, did our transmission and let us know that the catalytic converters need to be done as well and gave a recommendation for that. Thank you Marc for the great service and allowing us to pick up our van after hours.

Highly recommended! My truck is back on the road and I couldn t be more happy. It took them no more than 3 days to get me back on the road. Amazingly quick service. Everything was done over the phone I only met Marc the day that the truck was done. Thanks again.

Got my problem half way fixed, but they messed up other issue making me pay another mechanic to fix their issues. $2K later, I found out they forgot to plug some parts to the car,. But I told them about it, I got blamed and told it s not their fault and that they don t do electrical work.Never going back of course. The guy that help me was Mark. Steward never showed up.My issue was transmission and I left with other issues.

Listen let me start by saying don t listen to any other transmission shop that bad mouths 954 transmissions of broward. I got quotes from action transmission Of Coral Springs and aamco in lighthouse point and a few others for a 07 Escalade. The price alone should make you want to run to 954 transmissions. But I will say Marc was honest and got the work done in the time frame he quoted me. Plus he didn t talk bad about any other business. And didn t have any surprise fees after the diagnosis. He gave me the heads up that one shop would give me a quote over the phone and when I get the work done they Would jack up the price. I tested it and sure enough the price I got of 1795 was only for the soft parts not the labor. It would be an additional 2000 on top. Smh. Called Marc and setup the appointment for Monday. I picked my truck up Tuesday. 24hr turn around. Had to leave a tip. And also it s been almost two weeks I wanted to wait to see if it was too good to be true. The truck drives amazing now. No hiccups. I know he will be swamped with work after this.
