Deceptive Business Practice!!!Initial promise followed by a bait and switch.Recently, I experienced a flat tire and contacted Pep Boys since they were the nearest service provider. Initially, I was assured that my tire would be replaced within 45 minutes. However, what was supposed to be a quick fix stretched into later that day, then extended to the following day. Ultimately, it took two days before I could retrieve my car.

I bought a set of four tires Good year brand back in 2020 at this location. Pep Boys honored the tires warranty, they gave me credit for a new set so all tires were replaced yesterday. I m happy with their service!thanks to the store manager Juan, and his assistants Rolando and Matilda.I do recommend this place

Made an appointment for an alignment, and tire balance due to a sudden increase in vibration when driving between certain speeds. I was very appreciative when i Received a call informing me the alignment equipment was not functioning, I asked if I could just get the 4 wheels checked and rebalanced. To which I was told sure, bring it in, when I arrived at the shop, I was then told before anyone looked at the vehicle that I probably just need tires, I explained the history and nature of the issue including the fact that the change was sudden and my tires had sufficient tread depth, but was ignored, On the way out to the vehicle the person assisting me stated yea you probably are going to need tires and placed a tread depth gage on my front left tire Which indicated green (good). The person said oh then measured two more times in different locations getting green each time, the person then measured a fourth time and was able to barely get the top edge of the yellow band to show on the gage. Proclaiming. See you need new tires, I can get you prices. I reiterated that the tire tread is sufficient and asked if they were going to check the balance on my tires or not, I was told no because it needs new tires. I told the person no thank you and took the vehicle strait to a reputable mechanic shop told them exactly what I told the person at plantation location and In five minutes they asked me two simple questions about the issue and measured the tread depth on all four tires which were all (good!) they then pulled each tire starting with the right rear based off my description of the issue and found that the right rear wheel had shed all the weights off of it and was grossly out of balance. They also found half the weights were missing on the front left wheel and that it was significantly out of balance, they rebalanced all four wheels and my vehicle drives better than the day i first purchased it (used). Problem solved. They only charged me $50.00. Best money I ever spent. The plantation location should have been able to do the exact same thing instead they chose to waste my time because they could not sell me a set of tires I didn t need, I won t be wasting any more of my time or my hard earned money at that shop.

I have 2007 Crown Vic, which I had converted from being a NYC taxicab. What could possibly go wrong? I moved to S. Florida with a blown head gasket and nothing working except the rebuilt suspension, new brakes and good tires, and perfect wheel alignment.The NYC chop shop did a number on it. The police were AWOL. But I finally got lucky. This PEP Boys has the finest mechanics on the East Coast!They installed a fine young engine and gradually improved on it. THEN, the other day, they made this fine adjustment to the computer, a re-programming, for just $70 bucks! My 8-cylinder, 4.6 liter, now runs like new. It had developed an air sensor-starter problem when parked, idle in heavy rainfall.They were real gentlemen, as well.

They will lie and tell to try to tell you your vehicle needs parts that it does not. Took it in for an oil change and tire rotation. Was called and told that the battery light was on and the alternator was very very bad and needed replaced. I told them no and when i went to pick it up, there was no light on. I plugged a scanner into it, there were no existing or pre existing fault codes. I put a multimeter on it and it was charging at 14.2v. I approached the front desk and was told "i do not know what you want me to do about it". Once I got home I looked and also saw that on the receipt it said tires had been rotated , which i requested, and they were not. I will not be returning and would suggest that if you are looking to get any work done, to stay very far away.

I dropped my car at 1:20 pm, nobody said that were busy. So, at 2:40 I didn t receive any call, I went to the shop at that time and the front desk told me that there 2 car in front of mine. So, I decided to leave, maybe a little heads up or time frame will help a lot.

I would like to thank the managers Juan & Rolando for their excellent customer service. Also the mechanic Ricardo for his honest and great work! When I visit the Plantation store for repairs I request that mechanic Ricardo perform the repairs on my car. I am very happy the quality of work performed on my car.

This location is quick to take your money unjustly. I called on Sunday afternoon to see if I was able to have help with removing my old car tags due to the screws being rusted and installing my new one. After the associate spoke to their manager, I was quoted $150 for this job. I then called Tires Plus on N Flamenco Road and was reassured that they would be happy to help me with this matter free of charge and they completed the job in less than 5 minutes.Instances such as this proves how these types of companies like to take advantage of women by quoting ridiculous rates. I would have been happy to pay a fee as long as it was aligned to the amount of labor that would be put in. I hope this review helps someone from being scammed.

They do not know how to fix cars. Especially William. Do not allow William to touch ur car or managers.I brought my 2014 Kia in for simple AC fix and they messed up the whole motor and broke coolant box. Brought my mustang in yesterday and they lied and said they checked everything.. i went outside and changed the blown fuse and jump started my car and now it works. Pep boys only purpose might just to sell u car parts from a computer screen other than that they do not have mechanics who know how to fix a car. My buddy brought car in for simple battery replacement and it took them 4 hours lol

I completed an oil change here on September 26th. On November 5th I did my routine oil level check in my car and to my surprise the oil level was below 20% of the fill mark. I returned to them to report the issue and they were very negligent of their mistake. Very poor customer service here and unprofessional workmanship.

I got the lifetime alignment a few years ago and every time I would bring my vehicle for an oil change I would do it. Just last week I spent over $800 on tires, which I also had them do an alignment. Today I brought my husband s car to get the alignment and his vehicle came out the same way it went in. Just wasted over 4 hours. Now I m questioning if they really do the alignments

TOTAL FRAUD AND WORST SERVICE.BOUGHT TIRE ONLINE ON THERE WEBSITE AND THEY PUT ON 3 TIRES OF ONE MODEL AND 1 TIRE OF ANOTHER MODEL.. THEY TOLD ME IT WOULD TAKE 2.5 hours THEY TOOK 5 Hrs. NEXT DAY WHEN BACK SO THEY CAN FIX IT AND THEY PUT ON SOME OTHER TIRES NOT THE ONES I BOUGHT ONLINE.STORE MANAGER ( NESTOR) DID NOT APOLOGIZE FOR THE MISTAKE AND WAS THE ONE DOING THE JOB. PLUS HE PUT ON A DIFFERENT TIRE FROM WHAT I BOUGHT ONLINE. I SHOW THEM PROOF OF THE ENAIL RECEIPT WITH THE TIRE MODEL AND PICTURE I BOUGHT AND HE DIDNT CHANGE IT.

I've always been a fan of Pep boys, until about a year and a half ago. Some technicians/mechanics were relocated to other stores which complicated long term relationships regarding trust &knowledge. Recently found out my favorite guys (JUAN,MARK&BEN) was at this particular location , now I feel that all my vehicles are in great hands. All my business will be at this location for now. Thanks

Horrible experience. Why make an appointment if your car is still in t he parking lot two hours later? All the staff could care less about the place. After two hours of waiting, I'm told the mechanic left for an emergency, and offered a free oil change, after the oil change and no tire balancing I had to pay for my free oil change. Horrible waste of time.

These worst place ever. Never ever will i step foot in these place again. Some lady and guy horrible customer service didnt even look at me or make any attempt at eye contact, better service with a robot. Left store at 1:22pm 11-15-2023. Horrible customer service

This is the worst Pep Boys Branch and might be the worst car shop in Broward. This site committed fraud. I took my car for right-front tire repair due to a nail. I dropped it off at 8: 45am and went to pick it up at 2:30 pm without receiving a phone call that it was done. "Joel " or the front guy said it was done and fixed but couldn't find my keys, and it tookthem 15 minutes to find it. This should have been a clue to the disorganization at this service center. (unfortunately, the manager was out sick) The repair was crucial because I had a long drive the next day. Then, I started losing air. I'd come to realize that the repair was not done. The nail in the Rt front/side tire was still there. I took it back to Pep Boys, and they denied this oversight and said it was repaired. Joel's excuse was his mechanic might have repaired the wrong tire, and I asked him to show me where or which tire ended up repaired? He could not tell me which tire was repaired. He could not defend his statement. He said he didn't charge me, but why did he say the repair was done? (this is a National Fleet Car I don't see the receipt so repair cost is inconsequential to me, but fabrication of the fact is.) Is he backing out of the fraudulent activity? or did he not know it wasn't repaired. In either case, it was his responsibility to ensure that the work was done, particularly when it comes to tires. This is the biggest safety issue in an automobile. The more he talked, the more he admitted his incompetence. A Cop was called with the hope that I could file a report of fraud, but this was a civil complaint, according to the cop. Most cops won't file a report when it is a civil crime, I am told by a cop friend. A cop said that I should file a lawsuit or complaint to the corporate office for potentially endangering the life of their customer by providing a false statement and potentially endangering the safety of their customers and other drivers on the road. I could have blown a tire and cause an accident, for which Pep Boys could be held responsible for negligence. So, I took it to the Tire Kingdom, and they said my tire required a placement because the nail was or near the sidewall. This could have been a tire sale for them. At Pep Boys, the assistant manager or front person was rude and unprofessional and lacking attention to the details, and grossly and unlawfully incompetent. The fascinating part was that these tires were purchased at this Pep Boys. Part of it was my fault for not checking their work and to see if the tire was replaced. I just blindly trusted that the repair was done. Not again! I will never go to Pep Boys again particularly if I have many options. Please double-check their work. I understand short staff, but please don't fabricate work that is not done. It is unsafe.

I made an appt for 1030am. I got here a little early just because you never know. On their website it said est time 60min. I get here and they say 1.5 hrs to 2 because they were stuck with the appt before me. Ok I completely understand. I went and did a few errands I come back.... 2 hours later and they didn't even start on my car yet. I only need a tire change that I ordered ahead of time and scheduled an appt for. This is beyond unacceptable.

The Sawgrass store is the only place I go now for car repairs and upgrades, as they always guide me towards more affordable options than what I think I need. I trust their recommendations and they've always kept my cars in excellent (and safe!!!) condition.

I usually take my car to the Sunrise location and whenever I schedule an appointment for service I am in and out in 1 hour tops. However this location took over 5 hours to complete my requested service 5 hours without anyone informing me of this lengthy wait. And when I finally asked the manager /shift lead told me that they had someone call out of work today. I laughed becuz the wait was so long that I was forced to call out of work today as well.

Enjoyed an excellent customer service experience with Jared at Pep Boys. I had experienced significant tread separation on tires that were bought out of state but were still under warranty from the manufacturer. I called one Pep Boys location and was put on hold for a long time and then I hung up and I called this Pep Boys near the Sawgrass Mall. Jared answered and was very friendly saying that he would help me process the warranty coverage with the manufacturer and he set a time for me to come in to get the process going. I brought the truck in and Jared took the info and tread wear measurements and called the manufacturer. Next thing you know they authorized a set of 4 new tires under my warranty and Jared took my discounted payment and ordered the tires. He said that the tires weren't in stock and they would be delivered the next day. True to his word, the next day I got the call to come pick up my truck with the new tires. Couldn't be happier with the help Jared provided. He could have told me to work it out with the manufacturer on my own, but he took the extra step to get everything handled for me. Thank you Jared!

You know I gotta tell ya, I had a small mom and pop place for a while which I swore by. They moved and started using Pepboys .......... Was nervous and not trusting at all. However every service and recommended maintenance has not only been done well but was actually needed. It's nice to go to a shop and not be sold a ton of extra services. Recently came in on an emergency tire issue and I'm sold. This place is great and after about 6 different services I'm very happy.
