My wife s suv needed a water pump. They named several things that had to be done to replace pump and said other things needed to be replaced that wasn t faulty! I was about to be had, glad I carried it to another shop and got water pump replaced for half of plant city automotive quoted. Bunch of dishonest people there!

I went in with a broken directional, fearing it would be an expensive fix. I was taken in right away, the repairman checked, and it was just a blown bulb. I was charged a nominal fee for a new one, and drove away with it fixed. I am very appreciative of the kindness, and not being taken advantage of.

Thank you Plant City Automotive for helping me fix the issue that the Ford Dealership caused and refused to fix. Your staff does amazing work and ya'll are very compassionate. This week was 3rd time using this shop, everytime above and beyond. If you want your car fixed RIGHT and an HONEST KNOWLEDGEABLE diagnostic this is where you want to go. Even if you need something as simple as an oil change, bring it here. They re the best and very affordable

First thing I arrived the shop is to ask for a quote, Tony told me to ask his wife. I waited 20 minutes for his wife to calculate the price. By the time they start repair the car, I still did not know how much I need to pay. It was not until the car is done repairing, the wife told me the price. $16 to charge key fob battery, and $93 for oil change. But tony did a good job though.

These guys are an answer to a prayer for a guy who loves his old car. They turned the job around in a couple days and my 25 year old Jetta rides like it's brand new. Reasonable but not cheap but I DO NOT mind paying for great work. I'm restoring this car one repair at a time. When I tell you there are good people in this world - this shop has those people. My car started acting up on the highway and immediately my mind went to 1000's of dollars. Dave, 1 of the mechanics here took a quick look at it, saw something was unplugged and put back the missing piece and didn't charge me anything. Other shops would have tried to rip me off and tell me this that and another was wrong and needed to be fixed now since all these lights came on. But he did this quick fix and all the lights went off. It's hard to find a good shop with a good heart anymore but if I ever have any issues moving forward my business will be here. My exhaust pipe was broken at cat and went here for the first time. Very honest and skillful mechanic. Despite difficult position, he went for welding and did it excellently and fixed my most serious car problem in cheapest price. Other mechanic would have demanded all kinda part replacement and I was very much expecting lot of money. I'll always go there and would recommend this shop to anyone.Service: Exhaust

Called in to compare prices for my girlfriends brakes to get replaced, I try to use small businesses as much as I can but these guys must have mistaken me for a fool because they tried to overcharge me. I called 3 other local plant city automotive shops and this place wanted to charge me double what everyone else was asking. I would definitely recommend taking your business elsewhere. It seems like they just want to take advantage of people.

After a very bad experience with another local auto repair shop, I took my car to Plant City Automotive for an estimate. They called me the next day and said it was going to be at more than it was worth putting into that car. They didn't try to talk me into fixing it and they didn't even charge me for the diagnosis. They were fast, caring and very honest! I will definitely take my new car there if and when I need to!

Couple weeks back may have not even been that long , but I can not believe the level of care this place did to my 65 year old mom. I paid $300 dollars to get my moms car ac fixed. My moms ac went out and her windows do not come down. So imagine her sitting a hot car for days. We went to have her car serviced when including putting dye to see if there any holes and Freon plus labor: Sad to say it lasted not even 12 hours and she bought it back the next day and they told her it was more holes in the system that she would need a brand new one. Well I did sent her up there to have that done but apparently it wasn t. They state it takes 24 hours to see if any OTHER holes are there and the job normally takes 3 hours and it only took him 1 ..I m just saying this is not okay. I told my mom just take it back and I will pay again she said NO they did not fulfill there duties and scared if she goes back something else may go wrong. This was my first visit to Plant City Automotive. I am fairly new to the area. My A/C would intermittently stop blowing any air at all. Holly and the mechanics carefully assessed the problem. Holly took her time to find the best parts to repair my A/C at an affordable price. My A/C is now in perfect condition and I would highly recommend Plant City Automotive if you are looking for a business that believes in honesty and quality work. I will 100% be using this business for all of my future automotive needs and would encourage others to do the same. They are very friendly, helpful, and honest. Holly is extremely patient and friendly. She will explain all repairs needed in great detail and will answer any questions that you ask Their work is high quality and trustworthy. I highly recommend taking your vehicle to them for any repairs needed. After going to them once, I now take all my vehicles there any time a repair is needed

This company is awesome. I took my car in for brakes and they found that the frame was completely shot with rust. They could have charged me a lot of money for brakes, brake lines etc. yet explained that the car was unsafe on the highway and recommended against repair. They may have saved my life. I asked Holly (and the mechanic separately) what they wanted to charge me. They both insisted that I owed them nothing. I may owe them my life. I certainly owe them my business from now on in Plant City. Thanks Holly. My only problem is there are not enough stars to show my appreciation. I give you ten stars.

Completely unprofessional and rude and so discourteous on the phone, I'm only off Mondays I work 6 days a week, called today to try and have an estimate put together for a different day for a tune up on my car, Tony answered the phone, thanks so much for your rude attitude and telling me you just don't have time to help me figure out an estimate for a tune up and then tell me to drive over there any other day to look at it. What I wanted an estimate for was completely simple and for you to take the 5 minutes to ask me the questions about my car, I know exactly what I needed, and for you to dismiss me so quickly. HOW RUDE! I don't plan on coming here!

Holly the wife of the owner lied to me about what they did to the van. All they did was changed one switch, which she said she sent back and did not use, but its clear to see the switch is new. she charged me for two other switches which they did not install. Ripped me off for over $600.00I believe her husband Tony is an honest man and do not realize what is wife is doing.Service: Air conditioning

I brought my wife's car there and told them that my OBD said the catalytic converter was bad. They told me it was a few other things and charged me $1300 to repair it. When we picked it up, it sounded worse than when we originally brought it in. I brought it back and they told me that the catalytic converter was bad,. That is what I told them originally. They charged me another $700 to repair that and it still sounds horrible. Never use them again!

THESE ARE GREAT PEOPLE WHO WORKED WITH ME ON AN ISSUE, THEY WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND AND MY EXPERIENCE MAY NOT BE THE SAME AS YOURS.I have a Scion tC that it was time to change the shock strut assembly's on. I ordered the 4 off Amazon, thinking I could change them myself. Well.. they require a special tool to change them so it quickly became a job I can't do without causing some damage. I called Plant City Automotive and explaining my issue. I was told THIS ISN'T SOMETHING THEY USUALLY DO but she will work with me, just bring it all in. After bringing it in and speaking with them we realized it's a 6 hr job! And that's with an experienced tech with all the available tools! They do not have a shuttle service, however I explained I don't have any way home nor do I wish to wait 6 hrs here. Since I live close by, the owner drove me home! (I did have a seperate ride back to the shop later by family but the service was outstanding) Had my car finished in right around 5.5-6hrs and I came back to get it. On a side note, I had within 24 hrs painted my rims. I informed the mechanic and pleaded that they don't muck up the paint job. The wheels were just as I had left them! They did an excellent job preserving my paint job! I understand that most shops will not even bother with customers bringing in their own parts so I can't thank the people at PC Automotive enough! Again, I'm not saying PC Automotive is going to be able to work with you in your specific issue, I just want to share a great experience, and say that I highly recommend these guys!

To begin with I was just going in to get a simple oil change along with adding a stop leak so the minor leaks could be sealed. when I called and asked if they were closing it was around 4:30 when they close at 5 and they allowed me to be fit into their schedule so that I can get it done that day even though they had to stay overtime. When I walked into the shop I was greeted by a wonderful receptionist who knew so much and was a great help in locating places that I needed to go for further parts and necessities. The manager I believe even stepped out of his office to greet me and knew exactly what was wrong with my car even though it wasn't good news I was still captivated by the information that he was telling, that I had no idea about my own car, like a true scholar of mechanics. Even though I went in for a small oil change their attention to detail and ability provide great customer service is why I recommend this place 100%. they will never let you down as far as prices, service, and over satisfaction and give to you as much as you need which is rare in mechanic businesses.

Some of the most honest mechanics around. I've had a good amount of work done here and have priced them on numerous occasions: every time, they're the cheapest, or at the very least, comparable. They always explain my issue and the solution and are happy to show the problem area to me. If you're looking for fair priced, honest mechanics, give plant city auto a chance!

When I retired from the US Army in 2013, I came home to Plant City and the first thing I needed was work on my Avalanche. When I asked around, I was directed to Tony and Holly. Since that time, I have trusted them with anything I need for my vehicles. What sets them apart from others is that they never talk bad about anyone. Other businesses feel they need to talk bad about other businesses to make they look true. True character is verified over time. Tony and Holly are as real as they get. They started out as my mechanics. They have ended up being my friends. After 7xs coming here overr me AC i think its finally been fixed right with NEW parts. I do believe before the parts wasnt new. I finally had a talk with the owner Tony and told him that i wanted a refund or else. After that it got fixed right. Im holding my breath on it. We shall see. I highly dont recommend this people. An honest and fair shop that goes above and beyond. I had been misquoted by another mechanic and Plant City Automotive came in over $500 cheaper and was very honest and transparent the whole time. They even looked over my car for me for additional issues and stayed open late to accommodate me. I'll recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat!!

My dad has used this mechanic for years for no reason other than they know each other. They've done terrible work everytime. Most recently they "pad-slapped" my vehicle meaning they ignored massive rotor ridges and simply put new brake pads on to wear unevenly. Tony's mechanic is unprofessional and I have yet to see good work from him. I wouldn't reccomend them to anyoneService: Brakes

my alternator went out on me in plant City in the middle of the road I'm managed to push it off the road my wife called our insurance company they arranged to get it towed to plant City Auto they fixed it on Monday didn't ask no questions they were great fix the beautifully everybody was really nice great place

Good repair work. Having been a mechanic once upon a time, I'm very fussy about work quality when it come to automotive repair. Looking under the hood of my truck, after a repair at Plant City Automotive, revealed a factory-quality appearance. Impressive and the cost was $200 less than dealer service.
