Gordie was able to take care of my GL 450 in short notice and did a fantastic job. Highly recommend him if you need anything fixed on your Mercedes. He knows his stuff!!!!

In case you don't want to the entire review: Consulted the Mercedes forums for "best Mercedes mechanic in Tampa/St Pete"...and found Gordie. Car fixed. Five stars.Rolled into town in from Connecticut in my 95 e320 estate and discovered it wouldn't start in park or neutral unless the engine was cold.I found Gordie as described above, and told him I thought it was the starter. He wasn't so sure, and thought it might be the (less expensive) Neutral Safety Switch. Tested both and he was right. While in his shop, he did a thorough inspection, and also recommened flushing the powersteering fluid, replacing the (totally gone) steering damper, brake lines and transmission mount. Not only were the repairs performed expertly, compeleted and on-time, Gordie kept me informed throughout and I was charged an entirely reasonable amount for his work.

I had Gordie work on my 2016 S63 today for an oil change and service and he was great! Very upfront with everything and educational when I picked it up. Highly recommend Gordie if you drive a Mercedes!

Gordie is the best mechanic in Tampa Bay! Repairs are always affordable and fast, and the service is far better than any other shop or dealership in the area! He is always transparent about the pricing and works hard to make his services as affordable as possible. I recommend Gordie to anyone who has a mercedes, you won t find a better mechanic!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Listen to this story.I am in Miami today, my wife called me to tell me her Mercedes was having issues and didn't think the car would make it home to Sarasota. She was very close to Gordie's shop in Pinellas Park.I called the number and Gordie answered. He pretty much diagnosed the issue, texted me the address, called me back in 20 minutes to check in on her progress.I felt he understood that I was upset because I couldn't help and took this personally and followed up.Who does this anymore? Nobody, this guy is my type of business owner.Thank you Gordie!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Total Bait and Switch... I called them about an "A service" on my Mercedes (which is basically just an oil and oil filter change). I was quoted "$150 plus tax". I reconfirmed with him not once but twice while we were on the phone that it would be "under $175 out the door". The Mercedes Dealership charges $250 (+ tax) and I called multiple other independent repair shops in town all of which quoted $100-$160 + Tax. Unfortunately everyone was booked up for a week or two. I needed the service done sooner as I was going out of town. Gordie was able to fit me in the next day. After the service was performed he gave me the bill which was $292.11. When I questioned him about it he said it was $150 for just the labor plus $123 parts plus tax. I would NOT recommend him for ANY services. Beware of the other bogus reviews that are obviously from fake accounts or his friends.Service: Oil change

I found Gordie's Mercedes Repair via Google search while under duress with an inoperable R350. Gordie was responsive and professional from the start. He provided a professional and accurate estimate for the replacement of the alternator. Gordie performed the work on-time and on-budget. His shop is clean and organized. I recently moved to St Pete from GA and was looking for a reliable and professional mechanic. I believe I have found that person and his business in Gordie's Mercedes Repair. I recommend his services to anyone!

Gordie - I want you to know how much I appreciate the excellent service you provide, your attention to detail, great communication skills, and ready smile always made the experience better than I expected.I have been going to Gordie s for a few years. He always answers the phone and respond to my text, turnaround time for repairs is great. Service is always professional and friendly. I'm very glad we have someone in the area who I can trust with our auto repairs. And who doesn't try to nickel and dime for things.I highly recommend Gordie and his shop, and of course, I will return when my cars needs maintenance.

Great little shop. Clear communication, fair pricing and quality work. Gordie clearly cared and made the extra effort to go through the car and point out a few things without trying to sell, just seemed to be genuine care for his customer. Refreshing and how going to a local mechanic should be.

Gordie works on my 3 older Benz s, all are running great thanks to him. You will find Gordie to knowledgeable and extra careful with the cars. Aside from being a "mensch", you get a very reasonable cost for any repairs at Gordie s shop.Gordie will usually recommend changing worn parts before your left on the road in need of a tow. In some cases, I have brought larger used parts for Gordie to install with great results and very reasonable labor costs.Highly recommended, Honest Mechanic

After taking my ML450 to Gordie, no one else is going to touch Sadie as long as I own her. Gordie has came through on numerous of occasions for me from my serpentine belt blowing to spotting hard to find oils leaks. Hopping onto 4th street leaving a pharmacy I had to make a quick acceleration and my serpentine belt blew. Gordie was able to take a look at my SUV on short notice on a SUNDAY and got it fixed within a day. Always fair prices and outstanding service!

I recently had my 2008 Mercedes c300 repaired by Gordie. My intake manifold needed repair as well as suspension. Gordie is very thorough with his repairs and doesn't cut corners. He explains all issues and doesn't hesitate showing the problems as most garages wont. Bottom line If you want to save money and have a great job done then come to Gordies .

Do yourself a favor and give Gordie's shop a try. Gordie is the owner, service rep, and your mechanic, and he charges far less than the dealerships. He will show you what's wrong, save you money on replacement parts, and send you on your way knowing you got a good deal. I was quoted $1,700 for new spark plugs and wires by the dealer, and Gordie did it for $1,000. Why would I ever go back to the dealer? Owning a Mercedes doesn't have to be expensive, if you know a good, honest independent mechanic like Gordie. Note that Gordie does not provide complimentary loaner vehicles like the dealers, but he will give you a lift to the nearby Hertz should you need a rental.

I have used Gordie two times and will continue to do so. He is extremely efficient and very cost conscious for the client. His knowledge and abilities are fantastic. He tries to do everything he can to save his client money and puts extra effort into every repair. He takes every repair personally. Do not be put off by the location. That means he saves money on overhead and you save like I have every time. That is just good business and a good guy.

After the power steering gear went out in my CLS 63s I called around to find out the total cost to replace the part. Gordie promptly called me back to get the information needed to begin searching and researching exactly what was needed in order to fix it. He was able to find a brand new Mercedes part for half the price of what the dealer was trying to charge me. He also located some recall information that he felt could be useful. I truly appreciate all Gordie s assistance and insight and will definitely consider bringing my car there for needs in the future. Unfortunately the steering failed yesterday in North Tampa and the car was towed to the dealer to repair (Gordie s shop was too far and the tow truck driver couldn t accommodate). I look forward to working with him in the future!

Gordie was honest and upfront from the start. Ran diagnostics no charge, told me what he thought the problem was and set up appt for service. Dropped the car off the next day and he drove with me back to my apartment so I didn't have to pay for an Uber. He picked up the part and after investigating found out he could solve the problem without using the part saving me 225 dollars. Would definitely recommend.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Recently, I brought my Mercedes Benz to Gordie s workshop for repairs and I was very glad that I did. My experience at Gordie s workshop was nothing short of efficiency accompanied by courtesy, which is a rare combination in today s work world. The several times that I have brought my Mercedes Benz there, the kindness and thoughtfulness extended to me by Gordie was quite impressive because of its rarity. Gordie continually provided me with detailed explanations and professional assistance when needed. Such concern is refreshing and should become more widespread. I thank you Gordie, once again..!!

If you have a Mercedes that's just gone out of warranty or if it's a 23 year old classic like mine, Gordie's Mercedes Repairs is the place to take your vehicle. Don't except stealership prices and hourly rates, Gordie will give you comparable if not better one-on-one service for a fraction of the cost. Gordie knows our cars inside and out. He's a nice fellow too. Cheers Gordie.

We had warnings regarding ABS and cruise control not working. Goodie diagnosed 2 tire sensors that needed to be replaced. He ordered the parts and installed them and no alarms and ABS and cruise control are working. I could not be happier. Gordie's is the shop you need to visit before you ever go to the dealership. I visited with him last night for the first time & he is courteous, professional & has all the tools your Mercedes shall ever need. I feel more confident now knowing that I have a new friend in a Mercedes specialist whom is fair and I can trust.

Had my 55 in the shop for a couple of days and returned to a pure performance machine running better than it ever has run before!! The transmission wouldn't shift past 2nd. The AC was blowing thru one vent. The dash was blank with NO display. That is how I received my car back from a B service from an independent Benz tech here. Even with the sabotaging of my car by another shop. I was referred to Gordie to handle the 55. He handled the task and quoted me a great price for the myriad of issues from the 1st tech. I drive this 55 daily with no issues and ICE COLD AC !!! Thanks Gordie!!

Gordie was able to fit me in quickly for some serious suspension work on my 2002 BMW 525i. He even drove me to and from Starbucks to wait while the work on my car was being done. Very fair pricing and I would recommend him to anyone!

Gordie has worked on 2 of my vehicles. My experience with him as a person has been quite positive. Though I would have liked to spend less money on repair/maintenance Gordie does explain why.1998 Mercedes Benz e320 was placed back in very good running order. Systems repaired or maintained include suspension, steering and brakes, a/c, all fluids, motor and electronics to include tune-up and replace of valve cover gaskets all vacuum hoses. Electrical and electronics were evasive in diagnosis but cleared in the end. MPG went from about 14 to around 20 overall. Benz runs pretty good at 203k.2005 Honda Pilot (he was a convert after this job) Timing belt and associated parts to include valve adjustment which turned off check engine lights. Other work includes brakes, tune-up, all fluid change outs. The Pilot is running pretty good at 149k.Though a little slow Gordie does what he says and assists in transportaion (loaner car) while mine is in shop. This is a plus for a one man shop. His efforts are appreciated.

I brought my 2002 BMW 745i to Gordie Rosenberg at flcar, after a friend referred him to me. I was having a major oil leak from the water cooled alternator housing bracket. Apparently this is a common problem for the V-8 Bimmers, that the dealer was quoting $1800- for replacing the $4- oil seal. Gordie got me out the door for $635- including fresh coolant and a new serpentine belt. Thank You again for a great job

I strongly caution anyone who would consider doing business with this guy. I question the seemingly good reviews that were posted quite some time ago. If any are truly accurate, then something has happened to turn this guy into a misleading, dishonest person. Desperation, maybe?By the way, he operates out of a storage type facility, wants advance notice that you will be coming so he can unlock the door to the facility. Even though the paperwork indicates he accepts checks and credit cards, he demands cash or paypal only, not making that demand clear until you are on the way to pick up your vehicleI begrudgingly paid this guy for an inspection he never performed, despite having the car for one week. I consider it a ransom payment to get my car back.I made a big mistake. At the very least, please allow me to pay it forward to any of you out there who prefer to do business with an honest, capable mechanic. Stay away, far, far away from this guy.(rating w at least ONE star is apparently required to post this warning. I wish I could rate with negative stars)
