Avoid this shop. Hourly rate is extremely too high for the quality of work produced. Had an oil change, left with a flat tire from their parking lot. Was told "sorry yeah we try to run a magnet through the parking lot every week, whoopsies." With no recourse on how to make this up or even fix it. "No sorry we don't do tire work." Well you should probably return the vehicle the way it was turned into the shop.After my oil change, within 24 hours my Range Rover was throwing codes for contaminated engine oil.Spent $3000 for new Porsche brakes that squeal. The solution was to bring it back and have them hold it for a couple days so their tech can drive it around and make check whats wrong. They squealed the day I left with "brand new" brakes.I would not trust this shop to make sound and accurate repairs or to maintenance your vehicle.

Words can t express the gratitude I have for this place; I can t recommend them enough! They are the most genuine and knowledgeable mechanics I ve ever met and they truly care about your car and finding the root of issue instead of charging you thousands of dollars for an entire replacement like other places.I took my Volkswagen to a different auto shop down the road and was told I need a new transmission. They said they couldn t find the part and would have to order it which would take 1-2 weeks. Being on vacation, I didn t really know what to do. After calling around, a transmission shop recommended I call Palafox Imports. I had my car towed from the auto shop to Palafox Imports and, within the hour, they had found the issue with my car: simply a 2 inch long connector that had come off. They were so honest explaining everything with detail, even giving me helpful tips and info on how to care for my specific car, and sending me on my way, same day.If you own a European car, trust me and don t go to a regular mechanic. You will end up wasting your money in the long run as they ll give you the quick expensive fix which might not even fix the issue. Put your car in the hands of guys who have the knowledge and experience of working with these kinds of cars and therefore know what they re looking for.

Extremely pleased with Palafox imports. Not only were they extremely thorough, but they were also communicative and professional. I had been experiencing some issues with my VW that the dealership could not find and not only did Palafox imports find the issue, but they also resolved it and made sure that I understood what was happening every step of the way. I am grateful that I have found them and will be using them exclusively moving forward.

AVOID....AVOID....AVOID...AVOID...AVOIDThey had my 911 for over 3 years and I paid over 7K for repairs and they could not get the car running properly. Transferred car to another shop and was found to have a multitude of errors from PALAFOX IMPORTS. They installed a Mercedes Benzcamshaft sensor in the vehicle. Reprogrammed the ECM with a Boxster ECM..and failed to torque crankshaft pulley causing pin to shear. IMO THIS IS A PART CHANGING SHOP.....THEY ARE NOT REALLY KNOWLEDGEABLE MECHANICSService: Engine repair

With significant engine repair needed on my Audi, I was so unsure of the best decision of where and what. A friend suggested Palafox Imports.From the first phone call and walking in. They were courteous, efficient and respectful.Their prices were very fair. They explained right up front it was going take a bit longer than I expected. But I appreciated their upfront transparency.They even sent me pics of progress of my engine.It was so refreshing to have this experience.And I can t say enough about their quality service and repair.

This is an excellent shop. Th owner Guy, the manager Thomas, and the technicians are very knowledgeable and professional.Above all else they are honest, have integrity, and stand by their work. I highly recommend.

Terrible place I called and said I need them to check my c300 Benz I talk to Thomas told him it was a wire problem because you could cross wire the fuel box to crank it .so some how my wire got wet and distorted he said they would still have to diagnose it for 500 out rages price the Mercedes benz manufacture diagnose price I found out is only 260 .So anyway o told him ok I can pay with my card over the phone because I m currently out of town he said it works like. this and quoted (we diagnose for 500 than give you a price to fix it you pay a portion than pay the rest later if you don t agree with our price I keep your 500 we go our separate ways.this was on a Monday he said bring it we d Il have space for it than after you can pay theMoney for diagnose the day after or that day because it will take a week to get to it I said ok I get the car up there we d day called and now he switch and said he needed straight cash I said we agreed card cause I was out of town but ok no problem he said if I don t pay by morning he getting my car told away.i said that east the agreement he got upset I said fine il send the cash to my sis and she ll bring it my sis took the money said he was very rude to her and talked on how he don t won t go work on my car cause our conversation.said she think because we were black and he maybe thought our money wasn t good and than told her she need more money than 500 so I called talk to Thomas again he said he need more to diagnose I said why that he put the manager on loud speaker and the manager said it would cost several thousands to fix my vehicle I said ok what s several thousands 2 thousand or more I m willing to pay no more than 3500 to 5 thousand than he said he couldn t tell me .but my fan is messed up and it cost 700 by itself I said I drove the car everything was perfect I just want the wiring job done he said we don t operate like that we fix everything so I said fine il come get my car cost me 200 to deliver just yo pick it back up the same day because they threatened to get it towed if I didn t pick it back up .main thing is don t judge my money like I couldn t pay you don t k ow if I was willing to paun10 thousand.and very in professional had me to bring it there and than ask for more money to diagnose I wouldn t recommend a go cart for them to fix bad Buisness outrageous price.They most definitely judge my character for being black and tried to count my money like it wasn t good.

Well, I can t praise this shop enough. After my 2019 Porsche Cayenne would not start while at the grocery store parking lot, I found out my warranty was up three months prior! Porsche dealership in Mobile needed my car towed (at $750) in order to diagnose. I called Palofox Imports and they said I could have towed there. Used Fletcher towing (amazing ,too, btw) and Guy, the owner, looked at it immediately after coming off tow truck. Couldn t see obvious problem, said he would look at it more closely later in the day. But the time I returned home, 45 minutes later, Guy had called and figured out the problem! An easy fuse fix that he had researched. Said it was ready for pick up and DID NOT charge me a penny for diagnosis and fix! Brought the fellas a case of beer for their help! Gotta reward when rewards are earned!! Great shop to work with and will use them exclusively from now on for all our import repairs.Service: Electrical repair

I don't review often except when something is exceptionally good or unexpectedly disappointing. I was a little hesitant about not going to the dealer with a pricey Mercedes van conversion later model that had an electrical problem and possibly more. It required a tow and I had no clue what was in store for me. I noticed most of the cars in the lot were very expensive imports so I was more confidant. I gave them a chance and I realized my concern was unfounded. Very impressed with the front office guy Thomas but especially impressed with Guy (the owner). After speaking with him for a few minutes I realized I found that guy that knows what he s doing. If you have an issue with an import car and are looking for someone that is straight up, honest and knows what he s doing don t be hesitant to go here. Hope this helps anyone needing a repair. Super knowledgeable and accommodating. Much appreciated the early appointment to get me in and out. Identified a minor issue that left unchecked could have been very costly. Will be my only service facility for our Audi Q5 . Especially when the dealer can t get you in for 6-8 weeks! Thanks again!!

Great customer service, my Audi was in for a coolant leak. Replaced the water pump but then had to bring it back due to a failing O-ring, which they replaced for no charge since it was not fixed on the original repair. Will do business with them again! Took my Audi Q7 to Palafox Imports to diagnose a fault, Guy (the owner) was very honest and helpful as well as being very knowledgeable. I will forewarn those that are not use to straight talking people that Guy is as straight as they come, and I appreciated his honesty. I heard a mechanical bearing noise coming from the engine bay of my Porsche , with an unnerving vibration running through the car. I assumed it was the infamous Porsche IMS engine bearing going bad, so I had it towed to their shop. After being in the skilled hands of Palafox Imports for a few days she s running better than ever. I guess the water pump had been slowly going bad. The shop owner cut open the oil filter to check for debris, dropped the oil pan, and gave it a thorough inspection before starting the engine. He quickly diagnosed the problem, while ruling out other problems. He changed the water pump, serpentine belt and thermostat, and also installed a new battery and adjusted a window regulator. He told me I m not the cheapest girl in town, but I promise you a good time and you ll leave with a smile on your face . He wasn t wrong. He even washed the car and had it looking fine when I picked it up. The bill was extremely reasonable; especially for such skilled labor and great customer service.My experience with Palafox Imports was absolutely outstanding. Guy , (the owner and resident Porsche specialist) and Thomas (the shop manager) spent plenty of time in person and on the phone running me through all the possible scenarios and keeping me in the loop on the diagnosis. They could have totally screwed me and charged me thousands of dollars for things I didn t need, but they didn t. The shop is a class act! I got my Porsche 911 back and also dropped my wife s VW Super Beetle off for a tuneup. I will definitely be taking my foreign cars to this shop from now on for major repairs, as well as suggesting them to anyone I know in the VW or Porsche communities.Services: Auto battery replacement, Auto power window repair, Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change

This is hands down the best auto service shop I have ever taken my Mercedes to! Will and Guy are wonderful people who take their time to explain everything in detail. They are professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and honest. They are not pushy nor do they try to upsell me on anything. They were absolutely amazing and Brought my car back to life. They went above and beyond to get my car back to me quickly. Backstory I was told by the dealership that I needed a new engine Due to the fact that she s consuming oil and there s no apparent leak. She had also been stalling out randomly and not starting and they said they couldn t figure out why it was happening so they told me I needed a new car. I decided to bring my car over to Palafox importsThomas said that it sounded like they might be able to figure out what was going on they were very backed up and I was told it was going to be three weeks after two weeks they called and told me that they found out what was wrong with my car and all I needed was a new fuel pump which was something I ve actually asked the Volkswagen dealership to look at and they said that there was nothing wrong with it. They save me thousands of dollars because I do not have to buy a new engine and I do not have to buy a new car they are very professional on point and quick about getting my car repaired and back to me they were very concerned for the fact that I had been taken to the cleaners by the dealership. I ve had my Audi TT fixed twice at this shop. Guy is extremely honest, passionate about what he does, and always ensures I walk out of there with my car in mint condition for about a third of the price I would expect. He charges way less in labor costs than any other shop I ve been to and does exceptional work. After the first visit, I decided I was never going anywhere else. If you re looking for an honest shop where you can get top quality work done for a third of the price you would expect from a dealer, come to this place. I can t say enough good things about this place.

Serviced on my Mercedes twice and also took care of the parts when a beach mouse made a home in my engine. Have had very good experience with Guy and the price is better than the dealership. I had awful service at the Pensacola Centennial Mercedes dealership. Wish they had a shuttle service but the car service has been great!

Love Guy s place! This is the only shop to which I bring my Landmark LR4 and my Supercharged Range (including the dealer in Mobile). He is always honest with me and upfront about pricing and what he thinks might be wrong. I know enough about cars, labor, and costs, to know an honest mechanic when I meet one, and you cannot go wrong here. Warranties his work, takes care of his customers, and loves what he does, which shows in the care he gives my Rovers! You don t need to look anywhere else.

I travel a lot because of my job and always bring my vehicles to Guy and the crew at Palafox Imports. They are the BEST at what they do, hands down. There has never been a time I felt like my vehicle was not in good hands with them and on the road there is never any less than 100% confidence in my vehicle thanks to them. And I m talking from Washington state to FL and back on some trips. Been taking my vehicles to Guy for years and I will NOT go see anyone else. Not to mention they are always friendly and make themselves as available as possible for questions during business hours...which always puts my mind at ease on the road. This shop as a whole is top notch and extremely knowledgeable and experienced at what they do!!

Brought car here with bad mechatronic unit. I ordered one with warranty and brought to him. After installation it would not program. Company sent me another. When I dropped it off myself and Guy inspected it and it had no physical damage. 6 weeks went by and he had not worked on it, so I went to pick up car and get the original and unit I had dropped off 6 weeks prior. The unit I gave him was now damaged in several areas. Looks like it was dropped, which may be the reason he did not work on car again. My bad for bringing a used part, but this shop damaged the second one. I would NOT recommend this shop to anyone!!!

I went in to see why my check engine light was on. I was happy to find a friendly and clean garage. The owner was through with finding the problem and kept me informed each step. He informed of things that could be done but we decided to only do what had to be done now. It was the difference of about $700. I was impressed that they gave me good service and didn't pressure me in doing work that could wait. When I am ready to have the other items fixed, Palafox Imports will definitely get my business.

Took my LR Defender in for Engine work. 5 weeks later I was told they were all scratching their heads about the problem. The problem is that my truck sat for almost a month with no complete diagnosis, and no parts ordered. Issue was a broken timing belt and some bent pushrods. What would have taken any other automotive shop a week or less to diagnose and repair took these guys over a month, and my truck is still not repaired. The problem is letting a vehicle sit for weeks, and then hurrying the job at the last minute. It is just poor business. I was going to take my truck to another shop after week one because I sensed I was getting the runaround. Guy quickly told me he wouldn t use the shop I was going to have it towed to. I think Guy is a capable mechanic. He simply should not take on work if his shop is too busy to complete the work in a timely manner. After five weeks I had my truck towed to another shop, but I gave them one last opportunity to make things right by asking if they could at least diagnose the reason it still would not run. They said it won t be today . If I treated my clients like this I d be working all day, every day to make things right. It was tough to pay over $1,000 for repairs, AND have to tow it out of their shop. Lesson learned. Will never use or recommend Palafox Imports ever again. If you use these guys, demand a timeframe for the work to be completed. They told me one to two weeks; turned in to five. One positive note...the front desk guy, Will, was very professional and friendly. I have a feeling he s constantly apologizing for his employer.Service: Engine repair

Guy has always went above & beyond when it came to all of my vehicles. Such a genuine person who knows what they are talking about. They are the best at what they do. & I always feel comfortable knowing that he will take care of my vehicle. I ve called guy with questions before & he s helped me right on the spot or told me to swing by the shop. I would absolutely recommend palafox imports to anyone. If you re looking for a trusted mechanic guy is your guy!

Had a Pre-Purchase Inspection performed at this shop before making the trip to Pensacola from Central Florida to purchase a Pre-Owned S Class. Both the staff and owner were very knowledgeable and did a fantastic job. The owner was methodical and even picked up on tiny faults on the car that didn t even appear on the Mercedes Diagnostic tool. Highly recommended!!!

What a great experience. This group keep you updated with progress and any charges before commencing the work. No surprises and if you have a Porsche, you expect a little pain when you get the bill. The shop is clean, the customer service is professional. The prices are reasonable.

Best service in the entire country. The owner understands quality and workmanship and understands imports. Five places told me my Mercedes coins not be repaired, the owner said nothing and fixed it in under 20 minutes. Very very talented.

Fantastic experience. Recently had some work done on my Porsche Boxster at Palafox Imports, and it feels like a new car. Guy was exceptionally helpful in identifying necessary fixes/repairs, and creating a timeline for when to complete them. Can't recommend them enough!
