I m sure they do solid work for the most part. I asked for an inspection and was told the van was in great shape besides needing struts and shocks later. I purchased the vehicle based off their inspection and did $2300 of work with them.Not even 2 weeks later the van shut down on the highway due to bad coil packs. I took it back to Nevel s and they diagnosed the problem but refused to fix it without charging.I understand that inspections cannot include everything, and had this been months down the road, all good. But less than 2 weeks later I m having issues after you give your word it s in great shape?Right thing to do would be to replace the coil packs at no cost to me, or don t say you stand by your work when your clearly don t stand by your inspections.Be cautious of Nevel s.

This mechanic shop is very thorough. Alicia the front office girl is outstanding. SHe made calls on my vehicle and kept me updated. This will be my go-to shop.

Took my 2013 RAM in when the power steering went out. Thinking it was going to be a very costly repair due to it having an electric power steering module. The power steering suddenly started working when we were in the parking lot having it looked at. We decided to just let it be until it went out again. While leaving the parking lot the mechanic stopped me and asked to check one other thing. He ran diagnostic on the battery and alternator. My alternator was going out and he caught it. They had my truck serviced and road worthy in a matter of an hour. We ended up taking our beetle over to have them look at it also. Talk about a fair, friendly and honest business! That s hard to come by this day and age and especially in automotive repair! We will be using them for our service needs from here on out even with the hour drive from our home!Services: Steering & suspension repair, Auto engine diagnostic

I m actually really surprised by some of these ratings ! The first time I ever picked up the phone to deal with Nevel s they were closing in 5 minutes . My check engine light had come on and my car had ran hot for a few minutes on my way home from work. Alicia answered and told me she would wait for me to get there and did. She came right out and hooked my car up to their scanner . She reset the codes and assured me everything was good which it was for a while . The second time I used them was for something minor but the way my car was running and sounding made me believe otherwise . Again, I stopped in pretty short notice and they stopped what they were doing to take a look at it . Derrick spent some time with me and my car thoroughly diagnosing it and sent me on my way feeling safe and very much satisfied . He never even charged me . As I write this review I am currently waiting for them to get a part they ordered to do a pretty big job for my car this Monday. I have confidence that they know what they re doing to make my car safe and that I am getting the best deal they could offer . Alicia is so friendly and has a great deal of knowledge when it comes to vehicles ! She really makes you feel like you re a life long friend of the family . I have no doubt my car will be back as good as new come Tuesday . I m lucky to have found this shop! And fyi I had an appointment with meinike the same day and the tech on duty expected me to leave my car for days without being able to project when it would be looked at or what the problem could possibly be . He had no sympathy or care in the world for my situation. This is why I ll forever support our local family owned businesses even if they do have to charge a little more . The raport they build is worth it to me at the end of the day.

Great place. The check engine light was coming on as we were passing through, hauling our travel trailer on a multi-month trip. Stopped in the afternoon, while they had lots of work up on the racks. One of the mechanics ran a scan for us, right away, out in the lot, determined that it wasn t anything we needed to immediately worry about, and sent us on our way, free of charge for the scan. It s great to find shops like this.

I ve been loyal to this shop for 5+ years and my grandfather was for 15+ up until now. They took care of all of my vehicles and did a decent job up until management changed. Not about customers anymore, it s purely about how much they can get out of your pockets. My car sat untouched for a month and then I was told there was metal in my transmission. A month later. Then they tell me they can find a transmission and install it for double the cost of every single other shop in Pensacola that I d gotten a price from..(that actually works on bmws). Good luck.

Long story short, our vehicle went to Neville's 3 times and they STILL didn't fix the issue. When I called them the female answering the phone was either rude for no reason, or hung up on me, usually both! Their customer service skills are appalling. Their skill for repairing what they advertise? Non-existent!!! Don't waste your time or your money. We spent over $3,000 and our vehicle came home in worse condition than when we took it there to get fixed! I'm the type that won't complain if my order is brought to me and it's wrong ...I don't complain, but I'm complaining about this place!

Derrek, Jared, and Alisha are great. I've been bringing the family cars here for a few years now. Anytime we have had to get something repaired, Nevel's has explained the suggested repair and given me options for fixing the issue based on affordability and likelihood of the cheaper options fixing the issue. They have always been upfront and honest with me about what they think should be done, and what can be done so I can make the best financial decision. I have never felt mislead or taken advantage of. I highly recommend this shop.

I unfortunately live in Indiana now, but I am from Pensacola originally. I came for vacation, and needed my cars front end inspected after the 1000 mile trip. It was shaking and made me feel uncomfortable to drive. My mechanic was very knowledgeable. I feel like he went above and beyond for me. I needed my rotors and brake pads replaced. He ordered the parts and had them changed out within a couple hours. Which was nice and unexpected since I didn't even have an appointment and didn't get there until after 3 and they close at 5. He got me a great deal as well and also was very reasonable with labor cost. He was very friendly and held a conversation with me instead of making me wait in the lobby for hrs bored on my phone. I really enjoyed my experience and would absolutely recommend this shop and the mechanic that helped me. His name is Jared, tell him alleisha sent ya.

Not one to complain usually, but I brought my car in for a quote heard a noise clearly coming from my brakes and they jacked my car up for about 5 mins and told me I need to spend 800 dollars for a new bearing hub and wait a week for parts took it to another mechanic turns out it wasn t the bearing hub at all just worn break pads they fixed my issue in an hour and half for less that half the price Nevels wanted from me . I did not have a car repair shop here in Pensacola and asked for recommendations on Next Door. Many people recommended Nevels as being honest, reliable, knowledgeable, professional and reasonably priced. I gave a call and spoke with Hugh and he was very accommodating. I brought my car in the next morning to have them run diagnostics to determine what was wrong. I was quite worried it was the transmission. I got a call back and they had found what the problem was (not the transmission) and gave me an estimate. There was another thing they found which was not a surprise to me and they quoted a price on that too. I asked them to price out a new resistor for my a/c fan. I had gotten an estimate from where I get my oil changed quite a while ago. They came in within a few dollars of each other. I felt the material and labor prices were all reasonable. They explained exactly what was wrong with the car and what would be needed to repair it. They were able to work on my car that day and did all of the work and were done an hour before they estimated. Jeff did an outstanding job and my car is driving better now than it has in ages. Both of these gentlemen were very professional, knowledgeable and kind. I am very happy to know that I have a trustworthy car repair shop for any future repairs my car may need. I highly recommend them.

Incompetent and crookedBrought my car there to have the clutch replaced... it took about a week and they charged me > $3000. Trying to drive it off the lot I directly noticed that the engine hardly cranks up anymore and when it did finally crank up I suddenly had pretty much all dashboard lights on. They first claimed that it was already like that when I dropped it off - ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! So eventually they said that they will take care of it... 2-3 weeks later they finally had it fixed. They apparently destroyed some sensors (crankshaft, etc) when they replaced the clutch. Of course they wanted to charge me again for the damage that they obviously caused themselves.Rather save yourself the hassle and look for a decent place.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Tire guys messed up a stud and Derrick hooked me up and got me back on the road in a couple of hours. Super friendly girl behind the counter helped pass the time I WILL be back for anything I need. Honest work done here!

I have used this shop a few times for fairly major repairs. They are professional and got me back on the road quickly. 5 stars.New review after 5 months: After several repairs, still 5 star review. I am responsible for 8 vehicles and Nevel's Automotive is great.

Took my car here to get the starter replaced. They found out it was the battery and didn't charge me anything. That's what I call good service.

Brought my car here with one problem and they created three major problems. My front end was damaged, and my rear view mirror was pulled down! The owner's daughter "Michele" tried to overcharge me, and cursed me out before hanging up on me. ( I dare her to act this way in front of my face) She is really the reason this business will fail! The owner would do so much better if he didn't have her there. These people will tell you they can fix your vehicle but in all reality- the owner is too old to do anything and the daughter is all about money and fast food. Trust me!!!!! Do not bring your car here!

Most awful place I've ever seen. My daddy went to work there for a while and was treated like absolute trash. Nevels daughter Michelle Stacks would bully my father, call him names, curse at him, and make fun of my family. She would say ridiculous stuff that wasn't true and screamed at my father when he walked in her office to get his pay. Se even bullied my family about me and my sister going to a Christian school. :/ Ive never seen such harassment in a grown woman...She is really moody and will run over anyone she wants to. She judged my mama and didn't even know her. And the worst part is her dad Nevel let her do it and was in complete denial. If I could rate this place less I definitely would. Watch out customers.

Wonderful people, sincere, friendly, and a pleasure to do business with. I also referred my parents to the for a pre-purchase inspection, and the crew was wonderful!
